Tapas Milena in Esslingen am Neckar

Brash, bold, am... We ordered a table for two via the restaurant's website on December 29th at 7:30 p.m. Since it was extremely foggy, we were late and entered the restaurant at 7:42 p.m. This was completely empty and didn't give the impression that anyone had been there before us. We were immediately told by the lady of the house that there would be no more food. She claimed to have canceled on us via email. This was a ... (I'm avoiding the appropriate term and saying untruth, since no such rejection had been received in the spam folder). Rather, we had received an email, which I am attaching to the report, in which our reservation was confirmed with a time period from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. When we were told that we had not received a cancellation, the lady replied that we were 12 minutes late, which meant we could no longer be served. Mind you, we didn't arrive at 8:42 p.m. or 9:42 p.m., but at 7:42 p.m. Given that the journey takes over 30 minutes, I find this behavior to be an absolute disgrace! We enjoyed the food very much, even if the portions were a bit small. The menu is a bit small, but because everything is freshly prepared and there is only a small kitchen, that's not possible. The operator was very friendly and always asked if everything was OK. We were satisfied.

Super tasty tappas, but please order in advance

It says online that it is open. Then closed on site. Both the outside area and the visible interior are unfortunately very carelessly furnished and visually very outdated. Really disappointing if you take an extra 30 minutes to drive.

Excellent food and the owners are more than friendly. I would even give it more than 5 stars. 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

Simply always delicious and very personal

Unfortunately, our rating does not relate to the food. We were told in a very unfriendly way that there was nothing, and it annoyed us a bit because we didn't think there was that much going on. She won't keep up and it would all take too long. It would all be fine if it had been said with a tiny bit of kindness. But that was so unfriendly and dismissive... we won't be planning another visit.

Small menu but super tasty food, very friendly service towards our dogs too :) See you next time

Ordered monkfish and got a seafood platter (scampi, lobster, squid) with 1 grilled fish for 4 people €160

Small, varied daily menu always offers delicious surprises.

Sehr gutes Lokal, etwas rustikal eingerichtet, dafür eine grandiose Küche. Waren eine Gruppe von 10 Personen, die Hauptspeise dauerte zwar etwas länger, dafür bekam jeder gleichzeitig sein Gericht. Die Speisekarte war zwar klein, doch für jeden was dabei. Sehr gute Qualität und freundliches Personal, gerne wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen! Keine große Auswahl, dafür aber extra gut und mit Liebe gemacht. Sehr nette Besitzerin. Man kann gemütlich draußen sitzen und auch innen ist es sehr schön! Waren das erste mal da und kommen auf jedenfall wieder! Top :)

Sehr nette Betreiber. Kleine aber sehr feine Speisekarte. Sehr gute Getränkeauswahl. Nur Tapas muss man vorbestellen. Was aber okay und nachvollziehbar ist. Daher sehr gut und frisch gekocht wird.

Ordentlich aber hat leider nix mit Tapas zu tun.

Sehr leckeres Essen, kleine Karte aber von allem was dabei. Die Besitzer unglaublich nett, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Super Service, extrem freundliche Wirte-Familie, leckeres Essen, toller Außenbereich im Sommer!!!

Das ist ein wirklich nettes kleines Lokal, wo noch alles frisch und von hand gekocht wird. Das Wirtspaar löst sich dabei ab und ich kann nicht sagen, wer von beiden besser kocht. Die Karte ist klein und mediterran. Fast jeden Tag gibt es etwas sehr Einfallsreiches. Auf jeden Fall hingehen, auch, damit diese Art Lokale erhalten bleiben. Wir waren bisher jedes Mal mehr als zufrieden

Sehr freundliche Gastwirte und gutes Essen erzeugen eine angenehm ruhige Atmosphäre. Wir waren mit 11 Personen zum Tapasessen und hatten alle einen sehr schönen Abend.
