Tante Förster in Fürth

Came with my girlfriend and had a nice lunch of bratwurst, bread, and sauerkraut.

Very friendly staff, very tasty food (also unusual and many vegan options) and extremely delicious cocktails... When we are in Fürth again we will go there again 👍🏻☺️

Nice bar feeling with good outdoor area.

Six of us were there for Sunday brunch on Mother's Day, and we were all thrilled. There were many different homemade dips, cream cheeses, and butters (e.g., wild garlic butter, tomato butter, date curry dip, cinnamon butter, etc.), homemade jams, and lots of fresh vegetables. A very special and varied breakfast with fresh produce; we'll definitely be back.

This review is for the Green Sushi, which can be pre-ordered and picked up on Fridays: The vegan sushi is made without any meat imitations, using fresh, natural ingredients. It not only looks amazing and diverse, it tastes amazing too! It was truly incredibly delicious and something truly special! So many different creations! There was even a small dessert included. The box for 2-3 people was plenty for two people; I don't know if I would share it with a third person 😂 Huge praise to the creators of the combinations and the artists who presented it so beautifully!

Unfortunately, our first visit was a bit disappointing. All three of us ended up with stomach aches from obviously overeating our food. Our food was practically swimming in oil, even though there was only a little oil on the plate. However, since we'd only heard good things about Tante Förster, we gave it another try. And lo and behold, it was good. I had the Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes). It was delicious with the apple sauce and powdered sugar. The staff was always attentive and friendly.

Breakfast on a Sunday 05/2025, cost €19.90 including water or orange juice in a 0.05 glass and when water or juice is refilled... (minus point). Waffles to make yourself, if the iron or the dough would do what it's supposed to. Rolls, scrambled eggs... when refilled. Plates, cutlery...make sure you get something. The selection is general, very manageable, labeling should be better, tongs and spoons are not there or not where they belong (no one notices). What does the store do when it's full inside and outside? For 20 euros I can definitely expect more, it's a shame, with a little more overview, ideas and selection you can hardly do anything wrong, maybe reconsider a few criticisms...

I was leading an American tour group through Fürth today and at the historic market square a few senior women wanted to rest briefly at free tables outside and I politely asked the two young ladies/servers. I and another guest wanted to order drinks, then we were insulted in such an unfriendly manner by the two servers that I felt embarrassed for our guests. We then all ordered drinks and snacks so we could sit there for a moment. I know and visit almost every location in Fürth as a tour guide, but I have never been treated so unfriendly anywhere. I've never experienced anything like this anywhere, I'll avoid this location in the future and definitely won't recommend it! Unfortunately, service has become a foreign word for most people in the catering industry :(

Habe eine amerikanische Reisegruppe durch Fürth geführt und am Historischem Marktplatz, wollten sich ein paar Seniorinnen kurz an freien Tischen außen ausruhen u ich fragte kurz höflich die Bedienungen. Ich u noch ein Gast wollten Getränke bestellen, dann wurden wir dermaßen unfreundlich von den 2 Bedienungen beschimpft, dass ich mich für unsere Gäste fremd geschämt habe. Wir haben dann alle Getränke & Snacks bestellt damit wir kurz dort sitzen konnten. Ich kenne u besuche fast jede Location in Fürth als Gästeführerin aber soo unfreundlich wurde ich noch nirgends empfangen. Soetwas habe ich noch nirgends erlebt, werde diese Location zukünftig meiden u keinesfalls mehr weiter empfehlen!

A very cool restaurant where we were served in a very friendly manner! The homemade lemonades tasted great and our food was delicious too! Our kids also loved the foosball table!

Giant aperitif glasses! I've never seen such large Aperol cups. Absolutely top.

First of all: clear recommendation! You can eat well here. Above all, there are great dishes for both vegetarians and meat lovers. Unfortunately, my dessert (chocolate banana cake in a glass) was too dry and not enough “bananay”. But swim over it. We'll be back.

The staff was friendly and quick. However, the fried potatoes were soaked and not fresh, let alone crisp. Toilet: three exclamation marks on a sign stating that the light would come on automatically - but the light doesn't comply. You would have to step into the pitch dark, not seeing whether there are any stairs, if there are 5 meters ahead or 1, a real "black box". I went elsewhere then.

We were there for Sunday brunch and definitely can't recommend it. Something was always empty (e.g. orange juice, butter...) and was only refilled very slowly and upon request. In addition, the selection was very limited compared to other offers. The rolls tasted like baked rolls from the discount store. The whole service seems rather unprofessional and inexperienced. The dining room is crammed full and offers hardly any space for the buffet. All of this is simply not compatible with a price of just under €20 (coffee and everything except OJ and water are extra, of course). We were disappointed and won't be coming back.

We went there today for breakfast with my in-laws. €19.90 per person. The selection was unfortunately quite meager. Sausage and cheese from the discount store and limited choice, a few of the drinks were quickly finished, as were the "pre-baked" rolls. It took a while to refill everything. No regular eggs, just watery scrambled eggs. Fruit cut and squashed into a large bowl would have been nice. Perhaps a little more fresh salad or two or three types of bread to choose from would have been nice. Unfortunately, we hadn't clearly realized or read that on Sundays there is ONLY the buffet to choose from until 12 PM and you can't order from the menu. It only says "breakfast buffet every Sunday" on Instagram and on the website, but unfortunately doesn't say that you can't have anything else. All in all, €110 for nothing... We definitely won't go there again... I'd rather go somewhere else or go to the Bohne. Overall, though, a nice atmosphere and good service.

We have eaten here several times and all the dishes so far have been very good. Except for Saturday evening, we always found all the service staff to be very friendly. But that evening we were treated like little children. We found this extremely strange. Otherwise I can only recommend the Tante Förster. Cozy and easy to reach by public transport.

Aunt Förster is a real insider tip! Delicious food, great service and a great atmosphere. The food at Aunt Förster's is a dream! The pulled pork sandwich is particularly amazing.

We came here completely by accident... luckily. Great atmosphere, you can talk and laugh with the locals :-) Impeccable service. We ate tasty sandwiches, but we liked the local beer much better. We will also drink many beers from the Furth area. Way to go !

Here you have to beg for change now. Food: It's very nice that there are purely plant-based dishes on offer. It was ok (cheese spaetzle). Hummus with meat substitute wasn't worth the money for me. Operation: Menu didn't come for ages. I understand because it was full. The fact that I didn't want a drink was met with a strange, disbelieving look. Maybe just my imagination. Incorrect amount given when paying. I looked at the board behind me and indicated that there was a different price there. “I told you so.” was the answer. My companion can confirm that a higher price was initially requested. 20 euro note and the appropriate amount of cents were given, including copper coins. Copper coins were returned because they cannot be accepted. I understand. However, the remaining coins were kept and the note too. It's really sad that you have to beg for your change now. I don't understand how anyone would think I would tip after such poor service. I also indicated with my coins that I wanted smooth change. Isn't that obvious? Why should I tip coins instead of rounding up? Never seen it before. In my case, I simply didn't say anything and gave an unintentional tip. Place: Unfortunately, I was constantly disturbed by smoke while I was eating. Unfortunately there were no more seats inside. I understand that. However, I'm not willing to put up with holding my nose and/or coughing constantly. You can't enjoy your own food like this.

I like being there. It's nicer in the summer when you can sit outside. My friends' cheese spaetzle portion was a bit small... otherwise everything was fine

Very nice restaurant in the heart of Fürth. We were able to enjoy a very delicious breakfast, but we would also like to come back again in the evening.

I don't know, it's probably just me, but I found it too tight! The breakfast buffet was served on the counter and the people sitting at the windows constantly had people behind them squeezing through. I found the waffle iron and the sometimes desperate attempts to make a “proper” waffle funny. Sorry for my gleeful permanent grin. The staff were super nice and did their best to manage the really full guest room, always with a friendly smile! A big thank you for that

Great menu with lots of vegetarian and vegan choices and nice staff. It was just very cold when we visited and we had to keep our jackets on, which was a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise definitely recommended

We had breakfast at Tante Förster today. Cozy atmosphere (rather dark), delicious food and personal service, it was great!! 👍🏼 We had: Breakfast Waldschrat & pancakes 🥞 with egg 🍳 + bacon 🥓 Absolutely delicious and recommended!

We were “forced” to stop by a downpour. As it turned out, that was lucky for us. Such nice staff, a great atmosphere and because of the games they have there, we sat for a lot longer than we thought. We really liked it.

We were there before football. Three halves, a delicious (vegan) meal and then 3 points. What more do you want.

Nice restaurant with outdoor seating is in front of it. The service is friendly and polite. The taste is good, but the portions of the pans are too small for the money you pay and therefore unfortunately too expensive in my opinion. Or maybe it's intended more as a pub with a bit of food. We were there for dinner, which perhaps wasn't quite right. I can therefore neither recommend nor not recommend it.

wir wollten mit 10 Leuten essen gehen, bei guten Wetter wird draußen nicht reserviert ( kann ich noch verstehen) aber beim reservieren wollten die pro Person 10€ Trinkgeld haben ( kann ich nicht verstehen!!) Wir sind dann nicht hingegangen!! Einen Tag später bin ich alleine dort hin und habe Käsespätzle gegessen(Foto) Hat leider nach nix geschmeckt und war null gewürzt und sah auch nach Fertiggericht aus. Ich liebe Käsespätzle, es war leider das schlechteste was ich gegessen hatte. Kann ich nicht empfehlen!!

We spontaneously decided to eat something there, which ultimately turned out to be a mistake. The so-called spaetzle in two dishes was a yellow, small-sized and soft mass which was tasteless (like the rest of the sliced ​​meat and the cheese spaetzle). I have no idea what prepackaged this came from, or it would be much worse if these were made by myself. The chef should feel insulted in his honor by sending something like that.

It has a good atmosphere & very clean. will definitely go back again! 4/25/2024 I’ve come back many times since the first post and I have to say I love this place very much it’s one of my top places for breakfast/brunches in Fürth hands down, honestly it doesn’t get enough praise and talk because this place is a sleeper! Back again trying asparagus stuff the linguine Spargel cream was amazing gnocchi was amazing too!!

I was out with my girls and then we happened to end up at Aunt Förster's because we wanted to eat something and many restaurants are closed on Mondays. We haven't regretted it for a second! Three of us chose the pulled pork sandwich. It was a generous portion, incredibly tasty and really sweet, served in the shape of a heart. The others went for baked potatoes and they were thrilled too. There is a good selection of food and drinks, the price/performance is also completely ok. It's nice that "small portions" are also offered. We will definitely come back.

We sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed a cold bowl of hops. Was very pleasant.

Cozy with very nice staff and very good cuisine. Highly recommend the Försterpfanne and great cocktails. Mixed audience - ages from young to old - everything represented. Here you feel in good hands with a good atmosphere and music. Always happy to come back.

Went there twice and both times the service was extremely unfriendly. Not only polite, but in our eyes outrageous. This time, instead of eating there as planned, we just had a quick drink and planned where we would go out to eat instead. We actually wanted to make a reservation there for a birthday. So we let that go. Location is nice, concept is a good idea, the other waitresses are nice. It's a shame when a person puts us in such a bad mood that we simply don't want to spend our money there anymore.

Friendly service, overwhelmed. Food very disappointing. There was a lot going on on the unexpectedly sunny Sunday. It was our first time there and we ordered salmon with Brussels sprouts and an Indian vegetable curry with coconut milk and potatoes. The salmon was so mediocre, the Brussels sprouts were tasteless. What I was served as "Indian" was certainly the strangest food I have ever had - on four continents. It mainly consisted of fried potatoes, with lots of savoy cabbage, and traces of lentils and peas - also a hint of coconut in the sauce. I ate a few forkfuls of it. It gave me a strong impression of leftovers thrown together. I quickly lost my appetite. Nobody asked if we liked it, not even the waitress when she cleared the almost full plate. When I said that I knew Indian vegetable curry to be something completely different, the waiter said that's just how they do it here. You could write “Franconian fried potatoes with Indian-style savoy cabbage” or something similar on the menu. My stomach felt strangely queasy afterwards. After cycling home to Nuremberg and a good cappuccino, I felt better.

Unfortunately the food was a bit cold but the shop is just really pretty!

The food is great, we had a salad and a farmer's sandwich. The meat on the bun was just right and the falafel on the salad was crispy but without being dry. That's why it's worth coming here. What makes me a bit angry is the service, not because I was poorly served but because the tone between (presumably) the boss and the staff isn't really good. If the slip is torn out of the waiter's hand while ordering, errors will inevitably occur. It seems a bit chaotic, but apart from that I was very satisfied.

Went there 10 days ago for the vegan Sunday brunch, with a birthday party. What a versatile, creative and delicious offering they had there! Lots of choice, I'm a good eater but I couldn't taste everything. Compliment to the kitchen, I will definitely come back in the summer when I am in the area again. It's really super tasty!

We were there for brunch and we really enjoyed it. The selection is manageable, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. The food was very tasty and the buffet was nicely presented. There were also very tasty individual dishes that I didn't know before. The price is absolutely fine (especially if you are used to Munich prices)

Finding this place was truly a stroke of luck. We were going with the intention of having brunch without knowing exactly where to go and suddenly we ran into tante Forster. The first impression was fantastic since the atmosphere is super cozy, but the menu also offers you a wide variety of options. As I said, our idea was to have a brunch, so we opted for sweet and savory. Both dishes are highly recommended, I wouldn't be able to reproduce the names, but if you show the photo to the waitress there is no loss. The toast was incredible, the eggs were cooked to perfection and the pickle gave it a great extra touch of flavor. The pancakes were a little gooey but the dough was fantastic. Place worthy of going expressly to have a drink there.

First of all: the shop is really nice and I think that other dishes might taste good. Unfortunately I didn't think my food was good at all and it was grossly overpriced. I had the fried potatoes with egg for €14.90. The potatoes weren't crispy, particularly seasoned or anything, the fried eggs on top were burnt on the bottom and one was pretty badly fried. Overall, my food tasted very bland and dry. The dish I actually wanted was already out: roasted dumplings with red cabbage. My girlfriend ordered the last portion, but it didn't really look like a roasted dumpling, but rather a dumpling with sauce. At the next table (designed for about 6 people) 12 people were squeezed together and it was absurdly loud. Unfortunately I don't recommend it this time!

Waren nur auf einen Kaffee bei Tante Förster. Es war unser erster Besuch dort, wir werden aber bestimmt wieder kommen, da die Speisekarte uns sehr neugierig gemacht hat

Eigentlich ein schöner Laden, Essen schmeckt auch gut, aber durch den Service fühlt man sich unwohl. Keine Gastfreundschaft, kaum Gespür für sein Gegenüber. Zum Bedienen gehört in meinen Augen mehr, als genervt die Bestellung aufzunehmen und die Teller zu bringen. Schade.

Sehr leckeres Essen, große Vegane/ vegetarische Auswahl und sehr freundliches, aufmerksames Personal. Die Preise sind für die großen Portionen sehr angemessen. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich, stellenweise ist es aber sehr laut, wenn es voll ist.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, und die kleine Auswahl ist sehr übersichtlich. Die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich. Generell fühlt es sich hier sehr familiär an. (Aber wieso sind die Käseknödel nicht mehr auf der Speisekarte 😭)

Un sitio muy agradable, en una zona muy bonita. El servicio y el ambiente sin pegas. La comida estaba rica, pero para la cantidad un pococ cara, pedimos una hamburguesa que costo 14,90€ y venia sin patatas, las cuales costaron 6,90€ y eran una porcion relativamente pequeña, eso no me gusto nada. Yo me pedi una Pfane que estaba rica, pero tampoco calidad/cantidad/precio no me convencio.

Super netter Service, tolle Atmosphäre und spitzenmäßiges Essen! Hab noch nie so leckere und vegane Käsespätzle gegessen wie hier. Wenn wir mal wieder in Fürth sind geht’s auf jeden fall da hin 🤩
