Delicious food, excellent value for money, perfect for a rest before or after a long drive, friendly and polite staff, you don't feel like you're at a large rest stop but like a welcome guest who can enjoy your break, definitely recommended, will gladly come again on my next trip

The parking lot is tiny and very noisy near the A4. The ability to exit the parking lot is a big plus.

The outside area was, as is unfortunately common at many rest stops, very dirty, but the inside looks very chic! The restrooms are free and clean, and the lady at the counter was very nice. I was particularly interested in the tree in the center of the building. It stands out with its slightly different appearance compared to other rest stops. Prices are normal, for a rest stop, of course.

Very clean and pleasant. I would say a cozy place. Small parking lot. Very polite and friendly staff. The people know how to run this place. I'm adding it to my favorites and will visit it again with pleasure.

Very friendly staff, clean toilet, we always like to stop

I usually avoid highway rest stops, but the kids desperately needed the restroom, so we—luckily—stopped here. The building is a bit dated, but the two waitresses were so incredibly friendly that we stayed for a bite. The selection is limited, but the value is excellent, and my kids' special requests were accommodated without hesitation. At the end, the kids even got a free Frisbee each. I would stop here again anytime.

A nice, well-kept place for physical activity

The Tank & Rast service station at Rabensteiner Wald Süd leaves me with mixed feelings. The service was surprisingly friendly and accommodating—almost Saxon, if you can call it that. I had a currywurst, which was really spicy and tasty, but seemed way too expensive for the price. Positive: The restrooms are free and clean. Negative: The entire facility seems noticeably dated and could use a bit of a facelift. Overall, it's solid, but there's room for improvement.

We stopped here for coffee and cake in the pouring rain. The price/performance ratio was fine for us. The food and beverage area was clean, as were the restrooms. Finally, a rest stop without a turnstile and coupons... Instead, a retro one with a plate. I'll keep this in mind for another trip. ADAC members, take note: there's a discount.

Everything is fine, you can walk along a forest path, you can have a snack, there is a small shop, the only thing is there is no shower. For this, four stars. The staff is nice.

Cute little rest stop with free toilets and German food. The prices are a little higher but that's familiar from other motorway rest stops. Very friendly and courteous staff. I would always prefer this rest stop to the “rest stop chains” with McDonalds, Burger King and Co.

Friendly staff and delicious goulash soup! (Be careful if you have a dog and go to the meadows around the rest stop: there are a lot of ticks on the way!!!)

A good forester. There are always places for 45k. Of the minuses, there is no screen from the highway and shower. I recommend it for those who don’t like to sit in the cockpit!!! Google the gym and walk along forest paths and quiet German streets. Bliss!!! On the way to the hall there are shops and ATMs.

Small, clean and illuminated parking lot. Small store with polite staff. There is no shower, but the toilet is clean.

After many years on motorways, we have experienced the absolute willingness to help here today. We made a quick stop and wanted to provide roadside assistance to a truck driver, but our motorhome completely locked us out. The ignition key was in the ignition but we couldn't get into the vehicle. The super nice employee at the rest stop let me call the ADAC from her phone and provided us with coffee until help came. It's rare to meet such lovely people these days. Of course I paid for the two cups of coffee when I got back to my bag. I took this opportunity to thank you again.

The truck lot is empty at noon. The toilet is paid and clean. On weekdays the toilet is open at noon. There is a wonderful cafe.

The name Tank in the lettering only refers to electric cars, so be careful and fill up beforehand ⛽️. Otherwise everything was okay, clean and tidy. The rest area itself is not too big but is in the shade as there are a lot of old trees 🌳. (especially now that it's so warm). Thumbs up, that's how all rest areas should be.

Not so nice, from the outside the facility looked unkempt. We thought the rest stop was closed because it was deserted. Not convincing inside either. Sink broken. We won't stop here anymore.

We only took a short break. We also wanted to eat something, but according to the menu we only eat gastronomy (finished goods)

The most beautiful little rest stop on the A4. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stopped there for the second time and had a nice break. I can only recommend making a stop there.

Small and nice, but top! On Whit Friday evening (May 17th, 2024) our children were hungry...so we stopped here. When we arrived there, a very nice lady was waiting for us. She was alone, but with a lot of organizational talent she ran the shop, dealt with all the customers and at the same time prepared our FRESH food. To the boss: your employee deserves a ton of praise!!!

If you like it nostalgic, this is the right place for you. You get everything you need, but you're somehow in Ossi mode!!! Really cool....more small rest stops like this that haven't given up, even if the fight for survival is visible! Hats off to the operator and keep it up!!

From the outside it looks rather deserted. I was pleasantly surprised at this rest stop. I was only in there briefly to relieve myself, so it's worth leaving at least a euro for using the toilet, very clean and well maintained.

Ich war überrascht. Klein, ruhig, man ist bemüht alles in einem gepflegten Zustand zu halten. Selbst auf dem Parkplatz hielt sich der Müll in Grenzen. Aber manche Reisenden ist der Weg zum nächsten Mülleimer wohl einfach zu weit. Das kleine Restaurant hat ein einfaches, bezahlbares Speisenangebot. Wiener mit Brötchen und ein Eis war für mein Kind genau das richtige. Alles ordentlich und sauber. Selbst die Toiletten sehr sauber.
