Parkschänke in Limbach-Oberfrohna

The last time I was there was about 40 years ago. Unrecognizable. Just great .

Unfortunately I can't recommend it! Had dinner with several people. We were given small laminated cards that only listed prices for drinks. When we asked, we were told there was still food from the normal menu, but we were only given it orally. The food took a long time and to be honest the quality wasn't good. The duck dishes were dry and tough, as was the hare leg and the roast venison was extremely thin, tough and dry slices. The amount of portions, well, no one was full. We saw the prices for the bill. Wow, absolutely not justified. Very very expensive for the small portions. Only the ice cream was delicious and beautifully presented. We were there years ago for our son's baptism. Unfortunately nothing has changed! Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the second chance either. I'm sorry! Our service staff was friendly and accommodating! That's my personal opinion!

So after reading the very mixed reviews here, I had no idea what to expect here. But my birthday guests were very enthusiastic about the ambience and the food was also very tasty 😋👍 Almost everyone had something different and apart from the fact that my food wasn't quite as hot anymore (which I didn't think was so bad since I don't like it when it's too hot is for eating 😁). There's absolutely nothing you can say against the staff, my comment about the temperature wasn't answered unnervingly and everyone was very friendly 👌 and despite the fact that it was quite busy today, you didn't notice it at all, really good service 👍 The bad reviews are probably because you just had a bad day (it can happen, something can always go wrong, nobody is perfect) and since I saw that you still responded to every revision, I have the same feeling that the criticism reaches you and that you really make an effort 👍 In any case, my visit today was very nice and you now know my impressions 🤗

The food tasted good. Unfortunately there was nothing green on the plates, not a piece of lettuce, cucumber or tomato.

We celebrated our wedding in the Parkschänke in October. The day itself was great, the food was delicious and the process was always well discussed - thank you for that! The service could certainly have been a little more present, and orders were sometimes forgotten and only came after repeated requests - but since we billed based on consumption and, if necessary, there was also the option of getting a drink directly at the bar, this shouldn't be our biggest concern be a point of criticism. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the "preparation" for our big day... we had hoped for a little more. In personal conversations and in response to specific questions, reference was often made to the event folder - okay, then we could have watched it alone at home. We were told several times that the room we wanted was too big for the number of guests we had, which dampened our joy and made us unsure. But luckily we didn't let that put us off, because it was perfect for us and had enough space for the kids and for dancing! We also had to wait a long time for the final offer - probably due to problems with the email program. Which isn't so crazy in principle, the technology doesn't always work. But to notice this error and send us the offer again, because it had already been written, it took over a week and several calls from us, in which we also asked directly whether something had gone wrong with the email. However, this was initially denied. This was quite a burden, especially in the stressful last few weeks before the wedding, and left us very unsettled. Things discussed in the preliminary conversation weren't listed in the offer... so we had to make phone calls/write emails again... but everything was a bit cumbersome and felt stressful for us.

Today, after a hike, we went to the restaurant at 11:30 a.m. A table occupied. Rest empty. Everything would be reserved. When we asked that we would just have a quick drink, the answer came: We can't stack the guests! Also had a glass of water at the counter. Very nice!

Were there after lunch, there is a snack menu from 2 p.m. No problem at all, but even though the restaurant was almost empty, we were assigned a table close to the counter in the middle of the passage area. Only after repeated requests were we allowed to sit at a table for two slightly out of the way. Unfortunately, two of the dishes on the snack menu were not available, but we found alternatives. The food was very tasty. The service was very cool and the dining room didn't feel very comfortable.

The only restaurant that still offers lunch on weekdays in Limbach Oberfrohna and the surrounding area. Wonderful food, top service. We felt very comfortable.

This is the fifth or sixth time we have eaten here and it is always a pleasure. In the kitchen you know how to cook and the service is always very friendly. Really recommended!

We celebrated our wedding at the Parkschänke Limbach-Oberfrohna and couldn't be happier! Everything was just right, from the planning to the execution of the event. Since I work in the event industry myself, I was in frequent contact with the Parkschänke team before our wedding. During these encounters it quickly became clear to me that we wanted to celebrate our wedding here. The team was professional, friendly and flexible at all times – a real stroke of luck! Even after the wedding, we will definitely be happy to come over for dinner again and again because, in our opinion, the quality of the food is simply unbeatable. We are often outside at the pavilion, but this time we visited the restaurant. The ambience is great. With a good selection of food and drinks, the choice is not easy. The food came quickly and was very good. Despite the many guests, the employees were very nice and on the ball. We will definitely eat at the Parkschänke more often in the future.

Service and cuisine are very good. Unfortunately it is very loud in the guest room.

Today we were hungry after a trip to the zoo next door. After a lovely morning we had lunch with them. We had a schnitzel on bread with mushrooms and egg, then a tavern pan and salad with chicken. The dishes are on the lower side in terms of taste. The Witshaus pan was a disaster, the meat was fried to death and the fried dumplings were so hard that you could hardly cut them, apart from the price-performance ratio of this dish. The schnitzel was good, but the frozen mushrooms were not recommended. The chicken on the salad plate was completely burnt. All dishes were hardly or not seasoned at all. It's a shame, we expected something different there. ☹️

One of the most disappointing restaurants I've been to in a while. Two of the three meals were not good (seriously subpar), fries were burnt (honestly they were awful), and all but one of the staff was rather unfriendly. Probably wouldn't choose to go back. Edit after the owners response: We will never go back — the idea that you can simply discredit someone’s review because it’s not in German is appalling. They also honestly deserve one star because no one should tolerate that sort of xenophobia. Response to the owner (because even if a person speaks German they can write a review in any language they so choose!): This answer fits perfectly with the impression we got on site and wrote down in the initial criticism. To what extent is it relevant at all in which language I write my review? However, the fact that people who do not speak this language cannot read it does not make the criticism nonsensical. After this xenophobic response, we will definitely not eat here again under any circumstances and will advise anyone not to do so.

Kudos to the kitchen. The food was really tasty, freshly prepared, beautifully presented. Price/performance were very good. Service was very busy and was always friendly. The restaurant is located in a beautiful park with an adjacent child-friendly zoo.

Great restaurant food was great

Hats off, we waited almost 17 minutes at the snack bar where there was hardly anything going on for a few fries and nuckets for the children. That really tops everything. And that for the proud price. That almost makes a great visit to the zoo bad. And as it turns out below, people are not friendly to hundreds. So not again.

We celebrated my daughter's wedding there yesterday. Everything was really beautiful and great. Unfortunately, there is a small downer: The service wasn't really friendly and sometimes a bit snippy. In addition, errors repeatedly occurred in the mixtures of the drinks on offer. Aperol Spritz was sometimes only mixed with Aperol and mineral water. When we were told that prosecco or sparkling wine should be in there, the reaction was ignored and the drink was still handed over to the guest 🤮. Furthermore, it was noticed that the older the evening got, the more the mixtures changed for the worse. Unfortunately, it wasn't just me who noticed this. At least 4 of the guests were/are professionals. Something like this shouldn't happen! Since the bride and groom had agreed on a flat rate for drinks per person with the operator, the suspicion arises that “the less served, the greater the profit for the innkeeper.” I have a request for the landlord: Please consider this review as constructive criticism in order to act better in the future. Under no circumstances should word get around that drinks here are adulterated. As mentioned above, everything else went perfectly and it was a very successful celebration with good food. We will certainly come back.

We were here for our in-laws' birthday party. The food was great and the service was perfect.

My experience at the Parkschänke was extremely disappointing. I had ordered the ox cheeks, but they turned out to be tough, stringy and therefore inedible. When I gave my feedback on it, the waitress replied that it was marked on the menu as "bold". For me, this is more of a sign of quality and that's why I ordered the dish. Not only was my feedback not properly considered, it was even discussed rather than offered a solution. There was neither a discount nor an apology from the restaurant. This lack of customer focus and ignorance of legitimate criticism is unacceptable. Because of this disappointing experience, I will not visit this restaurant again nor can I recommend it. It is unfortunate that a restaurant that is clearly unwilling to respond to constructive criticism would provide such a poor experience to its guests.

Unfortunately, a managing director without decency. My severely disabled brother-in-law and his care group, my young daughter and my parents-in-law were thrown out in a very unfriendly manner, even though there was a reservation (with information that it was a group of disabled people) and no guests were disturbed in any way. Very disappointing and unacceptable. [edit] If the managing director hadn't gone 180, it would probably have been possible to enter into a dialogue. Then he could have learned: It is not a sign of a lack of respect for a mentally impaired person if he or she does not behave in a way that does not conform to norms. In the situation in question, it would only have been possible for the carers to use physical force to get the severely disabled person to "conform to standards" for a short time. If we as a society want to give everyone their right to participate, tolerance and open-mindedness are absolutely necessary. Since both were not used in this situation and it seems that the assumption is that the behavior was somewhat correct, I speak of a lack of decency. Visit to a group of disabled people in the Parkschänke on Maundy Thursday Dear Mr. Lindner, Your answer, which has been expressed here several times, prompts me to say a few more sentences. I was there with my disabled son and had to experience live the events that have already been reported on here. First of all, I have to say that I find your behavior on Maundy Thursday highly unprofessional, inappropriate and very unfair. You've made your point clear here. If I understand you correctly, the stumbling block on your part was the disabled man with the bare chest. In this context, you write that you also expect respect for the work of others and that appreciation is a two-way street for you. I do not understand that. Would there be any appreciation if the disabled person had worn a T-shirt? Then there might have been shrill discord or outbursts of anger. Would that be appreciation towards you? Every disabled person has peculiarities in their behavior. That is precisely the challenge for all of us and sometimes a balancing act. You can't explain or forbid what the mentally handicapped person has to do, he simply doesn't understand it. Such challenging behavior is part of everyday life for carers, carers and relatives. Admittedly, the answers to you were a bit flippant. But these are probably due to your angry demeanor, which shocked and disturbed us all. Instead of venting your anger like that, a matter-of-fact tone would have been more appropriate. In any case, you have shown us and our concerns no appreciation. What is certain for us as a group of disabled people and as a family is that this visit was the last to the Parkschänke. We can only hope that other disabled people will behave to your satisfaction in the future. One star so I can post this

Quality is very important here. The white sausages are served in vegetable broth, the bread is fresh and everything is lovingly prepared. The cake is fresh and delicious. Many thanks to the nice waitress Diana. Keep it up.

The Parkschänke is a prime example of Germany's service desert! Today for Easter Sunday we wanted to have a nice stop. The location is in a great location but the service is subpar. If the waitress is happy that guests leave after a certain wait so that she doesn't have to serve them, then I wonder what's going wrong here. Very unfortunate. Our observation of how the guests are treated here is more than sad, but that would go beyond the scope.

You really noticed that people with cognitive impairments sometimes behave in an incomprehensible way and you pointed out several times that you were already familiar with the group. I'm really wondering why you didn't simply refuse the reservation or take it back over the phone instead of rejecting the hospitality in a massively unfriendly manner the moment everyone was sitting at the table undressed. We still had a nice coffee, but I don't think you did yourself any favors by doing it this way.

The food is really good and I particularly like the selection of draft beer. Not the typical restaurant where you only have Radeberger on tap.

I visited this place for the third time today. This is also the last time. It's difficult for me to put into words what I experienced here today. I was here as a relative with a group of people with mental and physical disabilities. The Parkschänke employees knew the group. It would take too long to tell the whole story. We weren't sitting properly when we were basically thrown out by the boss, Mr. Robby Lindner. The reasons were incomprehensible to us. Why accept a reservation if you have a problem with people who are both mentally and physically challenged? I've never had to experience anything like that before. We didn't bother anyone as we were the only guests for miles around. However, the fact that you felt disturbed could neither be overlooked nor ignored. One star is still too many.

How to offer onion roast beef with dumplings. This is eaten with spaetzle or fried potatoes.

We had a very nice birthday party with bowling and dinner at the Parkschänke. The uncomplicated prior arrangement was pleasant, everyone enjoyed the food very much and the staff were very attentive and friendly - we are happy to recommend the location.

There were 5 of us in the Parkschänke and the food was really good. There was a greeting from the kitchen and the food was very tasty and the portions were also very good. We would definitely recommend it and come back.

Unfortunately, the portions were tiny for this price. €16 for a small salad is not only cheeky but audacious. The saddle of deer for €19 was not worth the price. The nice service couldn't save the evening. No recommendation

Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung und der Service ist super. Die Portionen können leider nicht mit dem Preis mithalten und könnten entweder etwas günstiger oder etwas größer ausfallen. Wer also großen Hunger hat sollte finanziell etwas mehr einplanen oder vorher zuhause essen ;) Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden.

Weihnachtsmarkt, klein und gemütlich

Wir waren zur Weihnachtsfeier da. Das vier gänge Menü war jetzt nicht der Brüller . Aber sie haben sich Mühe gegeben. Die Band hat für Stimmung gesorgt. Am Ende hatten wir trotzdem unseren Spaß.

Wir waren zum Tanzball da. Die Portionen waren im Verhältnis zum Preis zu klein. Demnächst ist Abi-Ball, da sind die Preise dann so hoch, dass man vorher ansparen soll. Das finde ich sehr schade.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mitten im Park von Limbach Oberfrohna. Das Essen war sehr schnell da und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Da hier gleich nebenan der Tierpark ist, lohnt sich ein Besuch der Parkschänke auf jeden Fall. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich und auch für Kinder ist das Angebot gut. Preislich ist das Essen vollkommen im Rahmen, ich würde sogar fast sagen, relativ preiswert. Da die Schänke sich am Ende des wunderschönen gestalteten Stadtparkes befindet, bietet sich hier anschließend ein Verdauungsspaziergang an.

Wir haben hier unsere Hochzeit mit nicht ganz 70 Gästen gefeiert und dies ist unsere Erfahrung damit: Nachdem wir die Location angefragt und besichtigt hatten wurden wir zu einer Haus-internen Veranstaltung eingeladen bei der verschiedene Aspekte der Feier präsentiert wurden. Es wurden also zum Beispiel mehrere Tische mit unterschiedlichen Dekorationen aufgebaut, es wurden Details wie das Farbkonzept geklärt usw. Generell galt überall: vieles kann, nichts muss. Die Parkschänke bietet für Musik, Floristik usw. verschiedene Partnerfirmen an es besteht aber immer auch die Möglichkeit selbst einen Dienstleister zu buchen (ausgenommen Catering). Die Zusammenarbeit funktionierte dabei problemlos. Wir gaben Floristin, Konditor und DJ Bescheid und mussten uns ab da um nichts mehr kümmern. Wunderbar stressfrei. Zu einem etwas späteren Termin legten wir das Buffet fest und ließen uns ein verbindliches Angebot geben. Beim Buffet ist man sehr flexibel und wir wurden gut beraten um letztlich eine abwechslungsreiche und ansprechende Zusammenstellung zu bekommen. Auch auf Sonderwünsche wurde flexibel reagiert. Wir hatten einige Gäste die kein Schwein essen also wurde auf Vorschlag der Parkschänke kurzerhand das gesamte Buffet ohne Schwein zubereitet. Am Tag der Hochzeit war das Ambiente herrlich geschmückt und ausgeleuchtet. Service und Küche zeigten sich von ihrer besten Seite. (Was wir beide als ehemalige Servicekräfte für Hochzeiten durchaus beurteilen können). Der Service war flott, unaufdringlich und stets zur Stelle. Das Essen war hervorragend zubereitet und wurde auch von unseren Gästen hoch gelobt - egal ob Lachs, Ochsenbäckchen oder Knödel. Alles schmeckte frisch und stimmig. Zu erwähnen ist, dass die vegetarischen Speisen mit derselben Liebe und Hingabe zubereitet waren wie Fleisch und auch Beilagen. Einfach gute Küche. Zusammenfassend wurden wir sehr gut betreut, beraten und das auf eine zielorientierte und entspannte Art. Gerade in der Vorbereitung einer Hochzeit ist es genau das, was man sich wünscht. Für die Parkschänke können wir daher nur unsere wärmste Empfehlung aussprechen und überlegen zu welchem Anlass wir noch einmal hier feiern möchten. Habt vielen lieben Dank für diesen sehr schönen Tag!

Kurz gesagt :Es hat alles gestimmt. Personal freundlich, schnell und wachsam. Essen super lecker, Kompliment an den Koch. Werde wieder kommen

Wir waren heute mit 4 Personen in der Parkschänke und hatten reserviert. Das Personal nahm uns freundlich in Empfang war zünftig zum Anlass gekleidet. Die Karte zum „Oktobärfest“😆 macht uns Appetit und wir freuen uns auf die Bestellung. Doch dann kam die erste Enttäuschung, Ochsenbäckchen und Bauerngulasch waren leider aus. Ja, aber es gab auch Alternativen, die lecker klangen. Also entschieden wir uns auch zweimal das Wiener Schnitzel zu bestellen. Ich muss leider sagen, ich habe noch nie ein so schlechtes Wiener Schnitzel serviert bekommen. Die kompakte Panade war regelrecht am Fleisch festgeklebt überwürzt und noch voller Fett. Doch damit nicht genug. Der Kartoffelsalat war sicher ein Convenience-Produkt aus dem Eimer und dort gehört auch wieder hin, Schade. Die Knödel mit Pfifferlingen und die Spinatknödel waren wirklich besser. Die Punkte gehen an das freundliche Personal, dass trotz vieler Gäste einen guten Service lieferte. Nachtrag: 9.10. der Geschäftsführer hat heute auf die Bewertung echt professionell reagiert Siehe Antwort: Leider wohne ich zu weit weg um das freundliche Angebot anzunehmen. Sehr lecker nette Bedienung immer einen Besuch wert

Nettes Personal. Ambiente sehr schön und gut gelegen. Parkplatz vor der Tür oder Stück weiter rauf beim Tennisplatz. Warme Küche von 11 bis 14 Uhr und 17 Uhr bis 21 Uhr glaube ich. Also nur ein Stück Kuchen gegessen und weiter gezogen.

Wir haben den 85."Geburtstag meiner Schwiegermutter hier gefeiert und es war wirklich perfekt.. Ein sehr stilvolles Ambiente.. Super Service.. all unsere Gäste waren sehr zufrieden.. Wir fanden es sehr gut dass wir im Vorfeld alle Details besprechen konnten und dann auch wirklich alles genau so geklappt hat..Eine sehr gute Auswahl an Speisen und das ganze schön angerichtet und lecker.. Von uns eine klare Weiterempfehlung...

Das Essen hat etwas lange gedauert, das wurde geschmacklich aber wieder gut gemacht.

Essen wirklich sehr Lecker, nette Bedienung, schöne Umgebung. Alles in allem sehr gutes Mittagessen, jedoch hätte man von alleine auch drauf kommen können den Hund eine Schale Wasser hinzustellen. Ansonsten vollkommen zufrieden, jederzeit wieder

Für eine Feierlichkeit ist die Parkschänke wunderbar. Viel Platz, tolle Lokation, Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür, das Essen und Trinken wunderbar, das Personal steht's nett und freundlich. Für die Kinder gibt es einen Spielplatz direkt im die Ecke, sowie ein Teich der zu einem kurzen Spaziergang einlädt, machen den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm.

Wir haben im großen Saal der Parkschänke + Terrasse unsere Hochzeit (ca 130 Gäste) gefeiert und es war wirklich rundum perfekt. Herr Lindner und sein gesamtes Team haben hervorragende Arbeit geleistet. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend umsorgt. Man merkt deutlich, dass alle sehr professionell ausgebildet und als Team super abgestimmt und organisiert sind. Organisatorisch lief von der ersten Absprache bis zur Veranstaltung alles reibungslos. Wir wurden sehr professionell hinsichtlich der Umsetzung beraten und uns wurden auch immer alle unsere detailreichen Fragen, die man als Brautpaar eben so hat, beantwortet. Das Speise- und Getränkeangebot war super, es hat alles wunderbar geschmeckt. Auch hier wurden individuelle Wünsche nach vegetarischem / veganen Speisen berücksichtigt. Generell war das Hochzeitsangebot für uns der perfekte Mix aus Baukastenprinzip und individuellem Spielraum. Das wir die Tisch- und Blumendeko auch direkt bei der Hochzeitsmesse mitbuchen konnten war die richtige Entscheidung, hat uns einiges an Stress erspart und es sah alles wunderbar aus. Wir hoffen natürlich, dass wir nicht nochmal heiraten, aber wenn dann würden wir die Feier wieder in der Parkschänke veranstalten :) Ob kleinere Familienfeier oder einfach mal so zum Essen - Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Wir waren gestern zum Abendessen in der Parkschänke,Tisch wurde vorbestellt. Alles super, sehr leckeres Essen. Unser Kellner war sehr freundlich.

Waren an einem Samstag Mittag dort. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Die Speisenauswahl war gut und der Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen selbst war sehr lecker und die Portionsgrößen vollkommen ausreichend. Ein großes Lob an den Rotkohl, der 1:1 wie bei Mama schmeckt. Von Grund auf selbst gemacht und super lecker.
