We were very pleased and satisfied, 9 out of 10. The liquid from the menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs with vegetables) spilled onto the breakfast plate 😊 Otherwise, everything was great.

The food was excellent, I will definitely come back here next time. The prices were also reasonable. I deducted 5 stars because they served alcohol, but otherwise everything was perfect. You can come here with peace of mind.

I found this place by searching on Google. My wife and I chose it for breakfast. There are plenty of options and a wide variety. Frankly, the breakfast was high-quality and good. The place was spotlessly clean. We were very pleased with that. However, there was no welcome. There was a lady standing there. No "welcome," "please," "good morning," no greeting at all, just a grumpy face. Breakfast was listed to start at 9:00 AM. When we arrived at 9:10 AM, there were some missing items. They were bringing the missing items slowly. We started taking from the buffet. At first glance, there was an omelet with sausage. I asked about boiled eggs. They said they hadn't arrived yet, but would be soon. As we were about to eat, we noticed the bread basket was empty. We waited a bit. It was 9:30 AM and there was still nothing. We asked the lady, who was neither friendly nor helpful, to get bread. We received the answer that it would arrive soon. Anyway, it arrived after a while. Then I asked what other options were available besides bread. There were many things written there. They said pastries and bagels would be coming. The bagels arrived at 9:40. The pastries were still nowhere to be seen. I asked when they would arrive. Again, I received the answer, "They'll be ready soon." You go for a buffet breakfast. It says it'll be ready at 9:00. But there are no pastries, bagels, or bread ready. You have to constantly ask and wait. If you open for breakfast at 9:00, everything should be ready, and those who arrive at that time should start eating. We were almost done eating and leaving when the pastries arrived after 10:00. You ask questions, and the answers are vague. Their attitude is so sullen, it makes you regret asking. The staff have absolutely no interest in their work. After we left, we waited for the bill. We waited for the same lady again; she didn't even ask why we were waiting. We asked if we could pay the bill. Without even looking at us, she said the price was this much. We paid and left. Zero friendliness or helpfulness.

I ordered some takeaway. Very friendly service and everything was fresh and delicious.

I ate there for just under €21. The service was mediocre; they didn't even offer tea after the meal. You could tell they weren't Turkish, so this place isn't for non-Turks because the service isn't professional. It's a real shame. I'll be eating on Kypstrasse next time, where the Turks still understand and practice hospitality.

Super delicious food, great service

We were invited by our workplace for the participating employees of the department. The food was fantastic. The prices were reasonable, the waiters were friendly, and the atmosphere was simply wonderful. Definitely 5+ STARS.

Tandoori charcoal grill. It tastes exactly as it should in good Turkish cuisine. The grilled mushrooms as an appetizer are truly outstanding. I highly recommend them. The Sigara Böregi are also absolutely fantastic. As for soups, of course, there's the classic lentil soup. But my favorite is the grilled lamb. A superb classic.

We went there for brunch for the first time with friends. They offered both a classic breakfast with cheese, cold cuts, and jam, as well as a hot and cold Turkish breakfast including Turkish tea and savory pastries, all in an all-you-can-eat format. The selection wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate, and the quality was really very good. Everything was freshly prepared. The only things I missed were something sweet like baklava or cake and water. While these could be ordered for an extra charge, it would have been nicer to have them included in the buffet. The staff was very friendly and always made an effort to keep the table tidy. I especially appreciated that we arrived at 11:00 AM and, as the last guests, stayed until after 2:00 PM without the staff ever asking us to leave. Unfortunately, the women's restroom was extremely cold, which didn't leave a very good impression. Overall, it was a good experience, and I can recommend the restaurant.

We went to Tandir for breakfast. They offer a "breakfast buffet." We were there on a weekday without a reservation. However, you should definitely make a reservation on weekends. The buffet items are fresh and plentiful. The breakfast buffet is a Turkish buffet with tomatoes, cucumbers, various savory spreads, and well-seasoned jams. There are also attractively presented potato slices, eggs, and various types of bread. Tea from a pot for refilling is included. There are seats for two people, but also larger tables for several people and groups. The staff is friendly, and the price for the breakfast buffet is perfectly reasonable. The breakfast was delicious, and we would gladly come back to try other dishes for lunch or dinner. A visit is definitely worthwhile. I'm deducting two stars for the ambiance because the place is very open and doesn't feel particularly cozy. It's a bit like a cafeteria or a large party room.

It was a spontaneous decision to grab a bite to eat there shortly before an event. I hadn't been to the restaurant before. So I was all the more delighted by the excellent service and the delicious food. I could have tried everything on the menu. That certainly won't be my last time there.

We ate there with our family today after arriving from Portugal. The food was absolutely delicious. I must also commend the lovely waitress for her excellent service. The design of the platters, plates, etc., is also very beautiful. :) Our visit was on the evening of November 20, 2025.

We were at the restaurant today and received a very warm welcome. For starters, we had delicious warm bread with two dips. The food and drinks arrived very quickly and were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it! At the end, we were even given a complimentary coffee. Everyone was very friendly, and the food was 100/100.

The atmosphere is lovely, there's seating both indoors and on the terrace for smokers, it's a very child-friendly restaurant, and the staff is always friendly, kind, and helpful. We ate at Tandir restaurant last night before our visit to the town hall. It was a rather spontaneous decision, without any great expectations. We were truly delighted. The hospitality began as soon as we entered the restaurant and continued throughout our meal. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! ☺️👍🏼

Today we enjoyed breakfast at Tandir for the first time. We were totally surprised by the wide variety of choices. There was so much to try! Our only suggestion would have been signs at the buffet so we could see what we were eating if we weren't familiar with the food. As we were leaving, the lunch rush was already starting; it smelled so good that we'll definitely be back, but next time for lunch or dinner.

We went for the buffet breakfast, and it was okay, but the place definitely needs a new music playlist. It makes no sense to have breakfast with arabesque songs in the morning. Also, the restroom was very dirty, which made us think about the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. I hope the kitchen is clean.

During our one-day trip to Cologne, we opted for the kebab menu for dinner, and it was delicious. We were so pleased we went back the next morning for the Turkish breakfast we'd been craving. Everything was wonderful, including unlimited tea and an open buffet for 13.90. The place is also open late, which is a rare find in Europe.

It was beautiful; it was right next to the hotel. We ate here every day. We came back at night and made a baklava sequence with tea.

Very tasty food and good service!

I can't recommend this place. I had a mixed grill. It starts with bread without any sauce. The bread is warm but not freshly baked; it's too hard for that. After asking if they also offer sauces for the bread with a mixed grill, I got some. The Adana in the grill is very fatty, as is the small piece of cutlet. There are only two small pieces of kuzu, although the chicken was okay. Cold rice and cold bulgur and a very meager salad. All of that for €25, unfortunately, I didn't like it. I'd rather go a little further to Keupstrasse and eat a delicious grill there. The staff didn't care whether I liked it when I left, and they didn't offer any tea either.

Our visit last Friday evening was unfortunately very disappointing. Even though the restaurant was busy, that didn't justify having to wait over an hour for our main courses. The service was inattentive throughout our entire visit – it took a long time before anyone responded to us in a halfway appropriate manner. My friend then received the wrong dish, my main course was partially cold, and when we complained, they initially discussed whether a discount was even justified – instead of simply handling the situation professionally. We weren't charged for the drinks in the end, but unfortunately, that didn't make the experience much better. The food was okay, but nothing special. So this was our first and last visit.

Tandir Restaurant in Cologne is highly recommended. We ate there on two different days and had a variety of dishes. See pictures. All the dishes were superbly prepared – Kuzu Sis, Karisik Kizartma, Sigara Böregi, and other dishes.

We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant, especially by the cozy ambiance and friendly staff. The restaurant stands out from other Turkish restaurants with its delicious food. The service is clean, our requests are catered for, and the value for money is excellent. If you're near Cologne, I highly recommend this restaurant! You won't be disappointed!

We dined at the "Tandir" not far from Keupstraße for the first time yesterday, and it definitely won't be our last. A truly pleasant atmosphere and staff who are happy to accommodate any special requests. We even got a complimentary tea to round off the meal.

I spontaneously went to the Tandir today and planned to eat a Dürüm with a chicken skewer for my Tik Tok channel. Then I have to give it an honest review. I sat down and ordered Dürüm and a water. There were four other people in the restaurant besides me. My Dürüm came after about 25 minutes. The first bite: not seasoned! Cold Dürüm, how can the chicken that has just been grilled be cold?????? I unfortunately did not give it back so as not to create more work for the chef in the heat. The middle-aged waiter not once came to me and didn't ask if it tasted good or if I wanted another drink!!! He was completely absent, not a glance, nothing!!!!! I asked a colleague behind the counter to call the waiter for the bill. It took her to call him! He came and said the amount! No question as to whether everything was OK, there was nothing! I said: sorry but if I can complain about something: everything was ice cold! Dürüm and chicken. No seasoning, taste, a disappointment. He just said: ohh ok, turned around instead of apologizing, nothing. I stood up and he had Sütlac in his hand without a tray and wanted to give it to me. In professional service you never carry cutlery to the tables on foot, which I unfortunately saw there too! I know where his hands were! Just grabbed a table with a knife in his hand and a fork! I give it a grade of 6! Disaster! Service just not customer-friendly, I would have liked to have had a cold Coke but the waiter was nowhere to be seen! An absolute catastrophe and I will be happy to share my personal opinion of this experience on Tik Tok and Instagram! Never again!
