Quite a nice ambiance. Unfortunately, the service was a complete disaster – our order wasn't taken until we had to wait about half an hour. Then it took another hour for the food to be served.

The food is okay. Personally, I felt it lacked more sauce, and the rice was a bit dry. The good bread should have come with the barbecue, not just with mascarpone.

It's a place I love, a place I've been to many times for breakfast and hosted friends. However, what we experienced on July 20, 2025, was a complete disappointment. We had our breakfast, sat down, and asked the waiters for a quiet spot. Just as we were starting to eat, we were greeted with ridiculous music, as if everyone had to listen to the same music. It was music specifically chosen for a group, and after a while, the group started applauding and having a blast. If everything is being done for that group today, I don't understand why you're accommodating other customers. Anyway, we went out to the terrace because it was quieter. "We're taking breakfast away, would you like anything else?" a waiter asked, and I told him I'd stick to tea. "Okay, we'll serve it," he said, and when I asked for tea twice in a row, it didn't arrive, I got up and complained to him. His response was, "We're busy." He meant busy, that spoiled table. I probably won't go back.

No, absolutely not. I ordered kebab. The meat wasn't cooked or seasoned. It tasted absolutely nothing. A spoonful of rice, two spoonfuls of bulgur, and a small salad plate, and that for 18 euros is pretty hefty. Never again!!!

What a great meal. I was a little skeptical at first. Our first visit was so pleasantly surprised that we went back the next evening. I had two different dishes, and both were truly delicious. I would definitely go back. It's a shame I don't live around the corner and can't go there whenever I want.

One of the best Turkish restaurants in Cologne! The food is always fresh, delicious, and authentic. The service is friendly and attentive, and you immediately feel welcome. Unfortunately, the dishes at the breakfast buffet aren't clearly labeled, so you don't know what's vegan, vegetarian, or similar. For example, I personally don't like olives at all and suddenly bit into a green olive in a pastry. Overall, the food was very greasy, but there was a good selection of different dips, salads, and hot brunch dishes. The only drink available at the buffet is black tea; everything else costs extra. For €13.90, it's okay. Overall, I wouldn't come here again.

Good place to eat. We were there for dinner and i found it good. The only thing I would suggest is if they can include more vegetarian and vegan food into their menu then it would be really great. Overall good location, good space, environment is also good here. Food served was also good. I would definitely recommend this place.

I ordered tripe soup, which was hot and delicious. We also ordered chicken soup, but we didn't particularly enjoy it. It was a bit greasy, and they added extra vegetables like cauliflower, peas, and beans to enrich the flavor. Friendly staff, fast service, and delicious food. We ordered dessert, and it was fresh and delicious. The menu is also extensive. In the city where we were staying, we were able to relax and fill our stomachs. There was no overly loud music that would have suffocated the people inside. The music played in a calm and light tone. It was cozy. Thank you for everything.

We went to the breakfast buffet today, as we have done many times before. The buffet is simply magnificent, there's something for everyone, and the taste is simply perfect. Everything is so fresh, so clean, so accommodating, simply beyond words. When I read some of the reviews, I just shake my head. We've been to several restaurants and, like many others, can't find anything negative here at Tandir. ‼️ Period. Great restaurant, keep up the good work. ‼️ Thank you sooooo much.

As a large family we went there for the first time to eat because it looked very nice, we all started to eat hungry, a long hair came out of my plate, we all lost our appetite and still had to pay, totally rude, they didn't even say goodbye to us, I don't recommend this place to anyone

We found the food delicious and freshly prepared. We felt the selection was too limited. The atmosphere could have been better. It was nice that there was a terrace, however, we had a table next to us where a girl talked more than she breathed (very annoying). The service was friendly.

Whatever you ask, the only answer you will get is open buffet breakfast. The gentleman standing at the reception with a medium height and far from hospitality and business culture answered in a rude manner that he will offer open buffet breakfast for all the products we requested as extras with his fee.

We definitely do not recommend it for breakfast. We went to the place for breakfast but the attitude we encountered was quite disappointing. What was offered as an open buffet consisted of only 10-12 different appetizer plates. Probably because they serve as a kebab restaurant in the afternoon, it was prepared with the understanding of “while it is ready, let’s serve it in the morning”. When we asked something, we were met with a snarky attitude instead of helpfulness. Questions like “Is there kashar cheese?”, “Can we get eggs?” were always answered with “Whatever is available”, “This is an open buffet”, “We have been doing this for 30 years”. The tone of these answers was quite rude and uninterested. We felt like we were not in a breakfast place but as if we were unwanted guests stranded on the street and in need and we had to leave without having our breakfast. The middle-aged male staff member displayed this negative attitude. If the owner of the business was there, he probably would not have tolerated such behavior. Auf keinen Fall zum Frühstück zu empfehlen. Wir wollten hier frühstücken, aber das Verhalten des Personals war eine große Enttäuschung. The „offene Buffet“ bestand lediglich aus ein paar Vorspeisen – vermutlich, weil das Lokal mittags als Kebap-Restaurant weitergeführt wird und man die vorbereiteten Speisen einfach morgens mit anbietet. Als wir nach bestimmten Dingen gefragt haben, bekamen wir keine hilfsbereiten Antworten, sondern nur ein patziges „Was da ist, ist da“. Auf unsere höfliche Frage nach Käse oder Eiern wurde mehrmals genau so geantwortet – in einem sehr unhöflichen und gleichgültigen Ton. Wir fühlten uns nicht wie willkommene Gäste und haben das Lokal ohne zu frühstücken wieder verlassen. Die unfreundliche Haltung von einem männlichen Mitarbeiter aus. Wäre der Inhaber anwesend gewesen, hätte er dieses Verhalten hoffentlich nicht toleriert.

We ordered via Lieferando – Saturday evening. Delivery took 1.5 hours. No problem, it's just Saturday evening. As always, Tandir's suppliers can't find our address, run around the area for 20 minutes with the “Thermo” box, and the food arrives lukewarm to cold. Same problem every time. The beyti are very tasty, as is the bulgur rice. However, the fries are an absolute disaster - they smell like old oil, taste absolutely nothing and have the consistency of potholders. I miss the meze, bread and salad every time. I pay €20.50 per portion here, so I expect the full procedure. The delivery service definitely needs work. Other Turkish restaurants do this much better.

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and fast service 👍 The food tasted very tasty...we ordered Beyti, Ali Nazik and Saç Kavurma...and for dessert Künefe... Everything tasted very, very tasty….!!! Weekend breakfast is really good, keep it up and don't change the atmosphere. We only have difficulties when pouring tea - if you put the pots a little higher, the cups would fill more easily.

While we were sitting at the dining table, the tables kept moving, which was extremely annoying. The rice didn't taste like anything, the lamb skewer wasn't tasty either. The only edible thing was the lentil soup. We should have left it at that. And if that wasn't enough, we discovered a hair in the Beyti court. See image. Unfortunately, the waitress still charged the full price. Absolute no-go!!!!

Very tasty and always a pleasure. We had mixed grill platter and it was very tasty. The soup and dessert Kadayif were also above average. After several visits, we would now recommend the restaurant to anyone without hesitation.

We used to enjoy being here very much, but the service is getting worse and worse. We wanted to give the restaurant another chance, but to no avail. Everyone... And I emphasize all tables got an appetizer, no matter what they ordered. Not us. Of course it's not a given, but it's a shame nonetheless. Drinks came very quickly but without glasses, we had to drink from bottles. Other tables were properly set, but ours wasn't. Service was completely overwhelmed Unfortunately two guests were lost.

Delicious food, well priced. There were two of us and our food didn't come at the same time, we had to wait 5 minutes for the other one. Falafal and minced skewer very tasty. Unfortunately the rice was already cold. Some of the service were very attentive, others less so. First of all there was a kind of thin bread for free, like a flatbread with dip, which was very tasty.

We went to Tandır restaurant yesterday with 9 people and I can say that, except for lavash and clotted cream, the dishes served before the main menu are not recommended at all. I said a lamb tenderloin, believe me, it's 3 thin pieces of meat and that meat isn't worth even one skewer. I don't need to explain how salty it tastes. The friend next to me ordered sautéed chicken and he was not pleased at all. It was the last time we went to the tandoori.

Everything is perfect. Service and taste are top notch. I especially recommend you to try the kellepaça soup.

Very mediocre experience. We order a pide and a lamb skewer with salad and rice. After 30 minutes later, many of the guests who had arrived after us had already had their food, the waiter asked if we had already received our food, even though we were sitting in front of empty plates. Interesting question. Apparently our food was forgotten but it took another 20 minutes until our food finally came. The salad was also missing from my dish.

I have been in Germany for a long time and with pleasure it is one of the most beautiful places I have come across that suits the Turkish palate. I can say that the meat and grilled meats in the soup and the cooking were great. The dessert we ate with the meal made us feel like we were in Adana. The waiter and staff were extremely hospitable.
