Paradiso Restaurant in Köln

I really like this restaurant; we like to come here whenever possible. We recently went for dinner, and everything was actually fine. I ordered Adana with yogurt, and the food came pretty quickly. The Adana kebab tasted good, but the bread in the yogurt was unfortunately moldy. That was a truly sad experience :( I hope something like this doesn't happen again in the future.

I've been living in Germany for a while and have eaten at many Turkish restaurants in many cities, but this one stands out. It's truly delicious, a friendly, and clean establishment. The music might change, but the flavor is incredibly good. The lamb shish kebab and lahmacun were delicious. We also went for the open buffet breakfast, which was quite varied and satisfying. I wouldn't say it was particularly delicious, but it was quite good, and we left satisfied.

We were there with the whole family. Unfortunately, we only had small drinks. Service was poor. The menu and floor were absolutely dirty. A shame.

We ate at Paradiso for the first time. It wasn't too crowded on a Saturday night, so we had a good conversation. The food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait long. The portions were very generous. The four of us had a large starter platter and then each had a main course. The conditions were very nice. And the whole thing was quite affordable, too. We'll definitely be back.

Came for breakfast and stayed until the afternoon! :D I was there with a friend, and we had a delicious breakfast, coffee, and tea, and felt so comfortable that we stayed there until the afternoon and then had pudding. We ordered from Paradiso a few days ago via UberEats. When the food arrived, one dish (a salami pizza) was missing. We immediately mentioned it to the driver, and he told us that he had received the bag that way and that we would have to clarify it with the restaurant. When we called Paradiso, an employee told us they would send a driver with the missing pizza. After almost three hours and several calls from us (each of which only told us the driver was still on the way), the same employee then told us we could come back to get our money in the next few days. We didn't receive a call or a ring, so we assume a driver was never dispatched. We then asked the restaurant to at least transfer the money for the missing pizza so we wouldn't have to make the trip. That wasn't possible, we were told, and when we asked to speak to the manager or for him to call us back, the employee took down our number, but of course, we haven't heard anything since. No one apologized for the three-hour wait and the frustration we experienced due to this poor service. To this day, we haven't received a refund for our pizza or money, and we haven't been contacted. We are stunned.

Not only has the store become much more expensive, but the service has also deteriorated significantly. I was there, a regular customer. But after my last and second-to-last visit, is the store dead for me? They no longer serve flatbread, but rather French baguette bread without dips. When asked, they look for various excuses and then quickly realize that they aren't true and can refute them. But the new waiter doesn't care at all, judging by his statement. If you can afford to scare away customers like that.

The food was good, but not great compared to other Turkish restaurants of this type. Unfortunately, the meat was only lukewarm, and the minced lamb skewer from the grill plate tasted a bit stronger than usual. The service, especially the woman, was very nice. You can eat really well here, but not top-notch.

Oriental breakfast buffet - Very good breakfast buffet. Everything was fresh, and there was a wide selection of various oriental dishes in the buffet/finger food area. The fresh tea was also very good. The ambiance was very quiet, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. One star deducted because the restrooms, while generally clean, could use replacing the furniture.

The place is nice, with plenty of options for an open-air breakfast. However, the tea seems neglected. It could be fresher and better brewed. I think the price is high for families with children. At least half the price should be charged for children ages 9 or 10. This might be why it's not a popular choice. I suggest you consider it.

We recently visited the Paradiso Restaurant in Cologne and tried the mixed grill – simply fantastic! 🥩🔥 The meat quality was top-notch, especially the kebab, which was grilled to perfection. Plus, the super friendly service and cozy atmosphere – you immediately feel welcome.

Adana and Urfa Kebab were not good. They made kebab from meatballs. They messed up the previous menu. The first hot pita that came was good. The appetizers were very few and weak. The sauce of the beyti was too much and the taste was not good.

The grill is delicious. The staff is friendly.

I was so full afterward that I simply had to come back to try more dishes.😍 I was there again this evening and ordered a delicious grill plate. Everything was very fine and I recommend it. As we were leaving the restaurant, a man approached us with two bottles of whiskey and raki...why can't I have a cold beer or a glass of wine?? They offer Red Bull, which is absolute junk, and all the smokers are outside too...I would be happy if they thought about offering guests who like it a fine bottle of beer or wine. Those who don't like it for religious reasons can stand their ground.

Friendly people and great food. The Turkish food here isn't too salty like the other ones I've tried, so you can really taste the different flavours. The sardines dish was tasty and the dish with lamb, vegetables and rice were the best of all the dishes we have ordered.

We ate at this restaurant with the family and were initially given a very friendly welcome. The service was attentive and polite, which we would like to emphasize positively. Unfortunately, our visit ended very unpleasantly: my child had a pizza, of which I also ate a few pieces. A few hours later we were both suffering from severe abdominal pain, nausea, cramps and (repeated!) vomiting. The next day my child wasn't even able to go to school. This raises serious questions about the quality and freshness of the ingredients used. The price-performance ratio wasn't convincing either - we would have expected much more for the price. Despite the nice staff, we will not be coming back and unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant at all.

Very tasty fresh food..nice service and pleasant climate

I ordered Adana three times, but it was delivered after 1.5 hours. Apparently there had been an accident on the way and the roads were closed, which made me despair. The menu used to be much clearer when ordered via Lieferando, now ordered via Ubereat and the menu is confusing. The previous owner was different and delivery was not delayed like it is now. It's a shame, I liked going to the restaurant earlier.

Not recommended – disappointing breakfast buffet Unfortunately, my visit to the Paradiso Restaurant was a complete disappointment. The breakfast buffet was anything but fresh - the pasta was completely cold, although the warm lighting gave the impression that the food was being kept warm. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. What struck me particularly negatively was that eggs with onions looked more like using up leftovers than like a freshly prepared dish. The sesame rings were also completely dry and tasted old - they were probably just warmed up from the day before or even longer. Overall the food was bland and inedible. The service also left a lot to be desired. The waiter just stood around without offering us a menu or explaining the buffet to us. Friendly service looks different. The only thing that was really edible were the olives - fresh and tasty. But of course that's not enough for a breakfast buffet in a restaurant. All in all, it was one of the worst open buffets I've ever experienced. I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant.
