I ordered two traditional Georgian dishes: khinkali and khachapuri. The khinkali were too large, and 10 pieces were far too much for one person, although the meat tasted good. The atmosphere wasn’t very pleasant as we were the only guests. I had a glass of dry Georgian wine, which was okay. Overall, I wouldn’t say the experience was perfect. We couldn’t finish our food, and the price didn’t match the quality.

Wir kannten die georgische Küche bisher nicht. Daher haben wir mit Khachapuri einem Hefegebäck mit Käse begonnen. Super lecker! Mit ein paar Kräutern oder Knoblauch wäre es sicher noch besser gewesen.Danach hatte meine Tochter Hähnchen mit Brombeersoße und ich Stör vom Grill.Die Brombeersoße war etwas zu süß daher durfte man nicht zuviel nehmen. Die Quitten dazu gaben einen guten Kontrast. Der Stör war lecker gewürzt und sehr saftig. Alle Portionen waren riesig und nicht teuer. Das Ambiente war gemütlich aber etwas hausbacken. Sah aus als ob man in einem Wohnzimmer sitzt. Da die Bedienung alleine war hat es etwas gedauert aber alles im Rahmen. Wir kommen wieder.

I guess you have to like Georgian. It was my first time eating Georgian so I can't compare it. Unfortunately I found the food terrible :( The operation and service was ok. The cutlery could have been a little cleaner, the Georgian music was annoying, air conditioning wouldn't hurt.

Después de una visita al restaurante georgiano bastante decepcionante en Colonia, más cerca del centro, decidimos darle otra oportunidad con Tamada. Los entrantes (phkali) eran suaves y ricos en sabor, y cayeron bien con el pan suave y el vino blanco georgiano. Los khinkali imprescindibles eran de paredes delgadas y estaban llenos de carne jugosa. La carne a la parrilla era irreprochable. El personal, aunque limitado debido a la temporada de vacaciones, era atento y amable. Iría por una segunda visita sin dudarlo.

We ordered pork, lamb, eggplant rolls, khachapuri. The only things I liked were the rolls, they were delicious and the tarragon was delicious. The meat was seasoned, and the side dish of potatoes was generously sprinkled with chicken spice..

Visited June 2, 2024 The order consisted of Khachapuri and Khinkali. The khachapuri was over salted, there was even a piece of rock salt. There was also some raw dough around the edges. Khinkali was not trusted. There was raw meat in it (you can see it in the photo), we showed everything to the staff. The staff didn't apologize, just deducted half the cost of the khinkal. There is no service, just non-existent. The food is poorly prepared. They don't know how to serve customers. There was no apology either. We won't come here again...

When we entered the restaurant there was initially no one to be seen. After a few minutes we were probably greeted by the owner. We also had a gourmet block (two main courses for one price) and wanted to try the Georgian restaurant. After we pointed this out, we were informed that an APPETIZER was free. But that was quickly clarified. She recommended that we order a bread and some pastes as a starter before the main course (after she had already collected the menu), which we accepted. The starters were also interesting and tasty. The amount of bread filled with cheese would have been enough for me. However, the price on the bill wasn't that tasty. The pastes were shown on the bill as a 'kitchen specialty' for over 12 euros. Afterwards, no such 'offer' could be found on the menu. The main course was mediocre, some of the vegetables were reminiscent of market vegetables from the frozen food section. Conclusion: Beware of business-minded 'advice'

After traveling through Georgia last year, we wanted to enjoy the delicious food here in Cologne! The food is authentic and just as delicious as in Georgia! This was our second time eating at Tamada and, just like the last time, we were thrilled! It's worth trying out different foods! Price-performance ratio is also right! We will be back definitely!

We were there yesterday with the Schlemmerblock (voucher book). I had never eaten Georgian before and we wanted to try it out and shared two dishes. Firstly, chicken with blackberry sauce (Rabaka), this was a very interesting dish that we both enjoyed. The other dish was the 10 traditional dumplings with minced meat (Khinkali), these were ok but I felt like the spices were forgotten. There were only 3 tables occupied on a Thursday between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., so we got a table even without a reservation.

Unfortunately the service was poor. Unfriendly and not honest I have a garlic allergy and I was still served a dish with garlic. The waitress told me there was definitely no garlic in it... I couldn't finish it. Impossible!!!! I pointed this out several times but she insisted it was without and she would ask the chef. When I was clearing the dishes, I asked if she could find out anything, but I was turned away again! A good service would have apologized and not charged for the food… Price-performance okay. Plumbing impossible. I wonder if there isn't a veterinary office in Cologne that checks regularly. Other guests had their food taken away which they had already begun to eat, saying it was not intended for them. If they paid it, they could keep eating. So all in all, a disaster!!!!

Everything tasted very good. The ambience could still be worked on a bit, but I think the most important thing in a restaurant is the food and it was by far the tastiest Georgian food I've tried in Germany so far. I would love to come again and can recommend this restaurant if you want to try authentic Georgian food. This comes from me as a native of Georgia. In addition, the staff was very friendly and contributed positively to the entire experience.

Very tasty, authentic Georgian food and a nice atmosphere. The Khinkali and the Adjaruli Khachapuri were excellent, the Chakapuli was a bit lacking in mirabelle plums, but we were also visiting there in the dead of winter. If you are in Cologne, you can eat very good Georgian food here.

Bad value for money. Manageable portions. No comparison to Ehrenfeld times.

The actual restaurant is located at the back of the ground floor. When you enter there is a shop counter, which is closed in the evening. So it doesn't seem inviting at the beginning. The restaurant is hardly heated and we sometimes had to sit at the table with jackets on. The service was friendly, but never once came for new drinks. The food was okay, but depending on the dish you chose, the portions differed greatly. We wouldn't come again.

If you want to fill up cheaply, this is the right place 👍

A disgusting place and a contingent to match.

We were there on a Saturday evening and had made a reservation accordingly. There was already some confusion upon arrival, as the reservation had apparently been entered half an hour later and we were initially standing somewhat deserted in the guest room - which was far from full at that point - and didn't really feel welcome. It took over 15 minutes for the drink order to be taken. It has to be said that the service person (presumably also the owner) was friendly and also apologized; She managed the entire store virtually single-handedly. The second service person often just stood at the counter uninvolved or disappeared completely. This restaurant visit was our first experience with Georgian food. The stuffed eggplant rolls for the starter (although strangely they came at the same time as the main courses) were delicious and tasted good. The main course of chicken mzwadi was well seasoned, the vegetables served with it were a strange mix of frozen products and freshly added vegetables. The dumplings, Khinkali, which we also ordered, unfortunately did not suit our taste at all and had an unpleasant aftertaste. Overall, the evening left us with a less than satisfactory feeling. We try a lot of new things and of course it can always happen that expectations are not met. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio was definitely not there and therefore the journey of over half an hour was not worth it for us.

Light and shadow We were at Tamada in Cologne-Niehl on a Saturday evening. To get something out of the way: the half hour drive wasn't worth it. We found the atmosphere uncomfortable, the service was friendly but overwhelmed. The food was generally good, at least we enjoyed the Badrijani Nigvzit & Mzwadi. Unfortunately the dumplings weren't to our liking. There was an aftertaste that we couldn't identify exactly, but it was unpleasant. The two Georgian sauces were very tasty. The food was plentiful, but for us it wasn't worth the price quoted. We paid €72.25 for 2 people, but with a soda and water. For the amount we definitely ate and drank a lot better. All in all, our evening was unsatisfactory; we expected more here.

The lady from the service was very unfriendly when we greeted her, but we accepted that for now. Everyone has a bad day sometimes. But when she became more than unfriendly while taking the drinks and rolled her eyes because 2 out of 4 people asked for a little more time to decide on a dish, we didn't feel like it anymore. We canceled the drink order and left the store. I've actually never experienced anything like this. I would have loved to try the food, but the treatment just makes you lose your appetite.

Uriges Restaurant. Das Essen ist super 😋. Der Wein lecker. Und auch das georgische Wasser war für mich toll, aber ich mag auch leicht salziges Wasser. Wer georgisches Essen mag, ist hier gut aufgehoben und die es noch entdecken wollen auch.

Wir haben mit 20 Leuten die Gastfreundschaft und die leckeren Gerichte ausprobiert. Jedem einzelnen hat es geschmeckt, und alle waren höchstzufrieden. Hinterher gab es fetten Lob für die excellente Küche und man fragte neugierig nach Rezepten. hier macht man anscheinend alles richtig! Wir werden wieder kommen, das steht schon mal fest. Vielen Dank! Leider gibt es nicht mehr als 5 Sterne.

Hatte so tolles vom Essen gehört, bin aber nicht dazu gekommen, es zu probieren, weil ich von den Räumlichkeiten schon so abgeschreckt war, dass ich leider wieder gegangen bin. Drinnen roch es nach abgestandenen Zigarettenrauch und die Terrasse ist in einem betonlastigen Hinterhof. Gemütlich ist anders. Bin deswegen wieder gegangen. Für mich gehört das Ambiente dazu, selbst wenn das Essen super wäre, sind für mich nicht mehr als 3 Sterne drin. Schade. Hatte mich aufs Essen gefreut.

Nettes kleines kuscheliges georgisches Restaurant, ich hatte beschränkt Hunger, und habe mir eine Suppe mit Brot bestellt .... Fantastisch lecker, Brot dabei.... Ausreichend und wirklich lecker. Es gab leider nur Kölsch, ein gutes nordisches Pils, Astra, Flensburger, Becks, Jever wäre eine echte Aufwertung. Nette Bedienung, Chefin selber, die allerdings, weil sie alles alleine macht, sehr überlastet zu sein scheint. Es dauerte eine Viertelstunde bis sie Zeit hatte für mich, weil sie bis dahin zwischen mehreren Gästen und der Küche hin und herflitzte. Gastronomie ist ein schweres Geschäft, Personal ist teuer, und ein bisschen warten, und die überaus interessanten landestypischen Dekorationen studieren, war wirklich nicht schlimm. Bei MC Doof habe ich auch schonmal länger gewartet, und das schimpft sich FASTfood.... Also alles im grünen Bereich. Einfach mal probieren.....

Waren mit Freunden da,haben zwei Schlemmerbücher mit (vorher haben wir uns telefonisch erkundigt ob das geht).Besitzerin (Kelnerin)hat uns Vorspeisen eingedrungen was angeblich jeder nimmt, auf einem Teller lag (waren 2 Teller) das gleiche was meine Freundin bestellt hat, am Schluss haben wir sehr hoher Rechnung bekommen, beim fragen haben wir Antwort bekommen Sie hat Rechnungen verwechselt (asser uns war nur ein Tisch belegt-Zwei Personen).Ich finde die Frau hat uns über Tisch gezogen, werde nie wieder dahin gehen und auch nicht weiterempfehlen und wenn jemand schon unbedingt möchte dann vorsichtig auf abzocke

Essen war schlecht. Habe selber in Georgien gegessen und dort schmeckt es ganz anders. Wenig auf dem Teller, stattdessen viel auf der Rechnung. Service unachtsam und unfreundlich. Parkmöglichkeiten, keine.

5 Sterne für das Essen Ausgezeichnetes Essen. Wie kann es auch anders sein, bei einem georgischen Restaurant. Es war nicht mein erstes Mal hier und wenn es nach den Speisen geht, auch nicht das letzte Mal. Allersings: Unschön war bei meinem letzten Besuch die lange Diskussion, nachdem mir für mein Essen ein höherer Preis berechnet worden ist, als auf der Homepage des Tamada ausgewiesen war. Die Preise seien gestiegen. Nach denen auf der Homepage dürfe man nicht gehe. Dass ich die Karte online gefunden, und telefonisch vorbestellt hatte und mir ikm Lokal dementsprechend überhaupt keine Menü mit alternativen Preisen zur Hand gereicht worden war, spielte da keine Rolle. Am Ende, nach viel Hin und Her gab es Cash zurück. Ich hatte mit Karte gezahlt. Allerdings alles.. Was ich jedoch nicht annehmen wollte. Ich nahm einen kleinen Teil und ging.

Netter Service und wirklich tolles Essen aus der georgischen Küche. Preise absolut im Rahmen.

Sehr lecker und sehr freundlich. Das Hähnchen in Brombeersauce und das mit Käse und Ei gefüllte Teigschiffchen haben uns besonders gefallen.
