What's so difficult about communicating on Google Maps, Instagram or the website that the store is temporarily closed?

Opening hours seem to be followed rather optionally. Apart from the fact that there are 3 different versions of it on Google, Instagram and the website, you can also just stand in front of a closed door. There is no information about public holidays, so assuming that it is open like every other restaurant was a mistake. Once again an hour's drive for the bin.

We were there yesterday, Sunday April 13th. On Google and the website it says that the restaurant is open on Sundays. But that was closed! Not cool.

Update: unfortunately both quality of food and service deteriorated. It's still good but not as good as before. But today we came at 18:00 to the closed doors, without any explanation. This is definitely not 5 stars any more. Amazing ramen with a very strong and exciting taste.

The Takumi in Leipzig was directly opposite our hotel and we were there at lunchtime. We were surprised that everything was completely full. We had to wait about 30 minutes until the queue was cleared and we could sit down at a table. Since we had already studied the menu in advance, we ordered quickly and the ramen arrived very promptly. The taste is as I know it from the other Takumis in Germany, very tasty al dente noodles that are specially delivered from Japan, the broth (chicken or vegan in Leipzig) was very complex and tasty and the side dishes in the ramen bowl were also very tasty. In terms of price, Takumi has increased significantly in recent years, but in my opinion it is worth the price. We even went to Takumi again on the second day, this time (Monday) evening, where we got a table straight away without waiting, although there were only two other tables available, which were occupied shortly after we arrived.

Definitely best ramen in Leipzig. The soup base and noodles are good. Gyozas are very good as well. Just a bit pricey.

I ate a vegan soup and the gyoza here. There is a large vegan selection. The food was incredibly delicious! The price was almost too low for this huge portion of soup. I would come to Leipzig again just for this soup.

After standing in the middle of the room for five minutes and being deliberately ignored by the waitress before being seated, it took another 15 minutes before our order was even taken. Now an hour has passed, and there's still no food in sight. I've never experienced such terrible service. Even the people at the neighboring tables seem annoyed, and no matter how chic the decor is, I finally got my food 1:10 hours after entering, but then the egg was completely missing, and only after asking twice did I get an ice-cold one.

The Takumi in Leipzig is an absolute insider tip for lovers of Japanese cuisine! The karaage (fried chicken pieces) were incredibly juicy and crispy, exactly how you want them - perfectly finished with a small dollop of mayo and lemon. The gyoza were also fried crispy on the outside and wonderfully hearty on the inside - super tasty! But I was particularly impressed by the ramen! The broth was deep in flavor, not too salty, with a nice umami. Plus perfectly cooked eggs, tender meat, fresh vegetables and of course the crispy karaage on top - a real treat. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

Incredibly delicious! Service friendly, but it takes a while to get your food.

We came spontaneously and managed to get the last table. The food came quickly and the service was nice. However, the table was quite small with little legroom. There was also no way to hang up the jackets and due to the lack of backrests on the stool we had to keep them on our laps the whole time. Anyone who doesn't have a problem with that will definitely be quite happy here!

Waited 40 minutes for the order to be taken even though the store wasn't full and then waited another 30 minutes for the soup. It was worth the experience, but what healthy person pays €20 for a noodle soup? I definitely won't do it again.

We would have liked to try it, but unfortunately we weren't served and couldn't take our order. Despite waiting half an hour. The waiter always looked past us and hardly responded to any attempts to contact us. When the people behind us, who also came later than us, were able to place their orders and the waiter walked straight past us again, we left. It wouldn't have gotten any better. The ambience is nice, but the stools are very uncomfortable. Especially if you have to sit on it for half an hour. I also found the music way too loud. This causes unnecessary unrest and mistakes are made more quickly (such as overlooking customers). There are no options for hanging jackets and bags safely. There are hooks next to the entrance. The entrance is a bit around the corner and is not really visible. The stools don't have any backrests where you could put your jackets. Overall, the operating concept would have to be reconsidered. You should wait at the entrance and a place will be assigned. Because the entrance is around the corner, it is difficult for the waitress to see people waiting. Some people kept leaving during our stay.

UPD. Now with the new waiter my impression has changed a lot. The food tastes and smells good, looks good too; Compared to another famous ramen joint with numbers in the name, it's better - the menu is richer, and the food just tastes better. However, the "spicy" items on the menu aren't even a bit spicy, so you have to let them know if you want something really spicy. But the al dente noodles are an absolute hit; I would come here for the noodles alone.

Were there at 2:40 p.m. and unfortunately the kitchen was no longer open. Which isn't a bad thing, but my girlfriend urgently needed to go to the toilet and we were denied even that. I find something like that inhumane. Therefore 1 star, won't come back.

The visit to Takumi Leipzig was fantastic! The ramen was delicious, authentic and just perfect. The service was friendly, quick and attentive – simply outstanding. Absolutely recommended!

Very good ramen and good service

When I was there live, I thought the food and service at Takumi was great. Since the seating is not very comfortable, it is more designed for a quick meal. My rating is due to today's event. We decided to order food there. So far so good, everything worked and I received an order confirmation. The food was supposed to be delivered at 12:35. At 12:20 I received a cancellation of the delivery without giving any reasons. Very annoying.

Chic, small restaurant. I've never tried ramen before, but these were absolutely delicious. Really good portion, reasonably priced. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We didn't have a reservation, but still found a table.

Very tasty and nutritious. The uncomfortable tables and chairs bother me a little, but you come for the ramen. So: the portions are sometimes a bit small, which makes a starter very good. Especially the octopus balls and the edamame are mega! Small ramen are the shoyu and miso. A normal or good portion would be my favorite of the Creamy White Tan Tan Men. It says 'spicy' behind it, but I would describe it as spicy. Personally, I like the spicy one more, but if you really need it spicier, go for the Kara Negi Miso Ramen. Yes, we almost all know ramen with meat. No, unfortunately we don't know the vegan versions.

I've eaten here twice now and both times the soups were "ok" - "kind of edible", but absolutely not comparable to the other restaurants in Cologne or Düsseldorf. Everything was very bland and the shoyu only seemed to consist of water and soy sauce. In addition, it quickly smells musty in the small room and the service is not very attentive. I will eat here again.

Fast service and the long wait (45 minutes) for the delicious food was totally worth it. Very busy small location (space for around 34 guests indoors), so please allow for a waiting time.

The prices are very inflated and the ramen was absolutely plain, the broth was like fast food noodles. There are places in the city that are much tastier and cheaper.

The egg in the noodles has gone bad and smells really sour. The staff said they’ve been getting feedbacks about the egg but they apparently didn’t do anything. It’s actually shocking that a restaurant should serve food that they know is wrong and charge the same amount of money. Insane, I’ve been here many times but now would just never go back.

Had a vegan ramen. Unfortunately, for the very high price, the broth is weak and there are hardly any toppings. Tomatoes and a bit of cabbage on a ramen? Really? There's a lot of tofu and mushrooms missing, without having to pay extra.

3.5 stars The food was OK. It was unusual for us that the only meat we had was chicken. Unfortunately, the Tantanmen Ramen wasn't spicy. Chicken was good though. All in all it was a good solid meal. But it can't keep up with what we already had. The rooms didn't have much character or comfort.

The ramen is delicious and large portions! The space situation is difficult. Unfortunately you can't make a reservation, no one ever answers the phone number that's stored here on Google, I tried it at different times several days in a row. It's best to be there as soon as it opens, otherwise you'll end up waiting in line until a spot becomes available. As a guest, you feel under pressure when new guests are waiting behind you. It is also very loud in the store because of the wooden chairs on the wooden floor. Overall, delicious food, but the location doesn't invite you to linger or meet friends.

As a customer I almost feel cheated. Takumi offers a points card, which was full for me. According to the label, I could get my favorite ramen free. Then when paying: Etch! The use of the bonus card must be registered when ordering. But this is nowhere apparent on the map. The reason: The cash register device cannot do otherwise. No goodwill or anything like that, just had to pay in full. That's unprofessional and disappointing. At least state that on the card! It's a bit of a mess for me.

The shop is extremely busy, probably simply because there is a lot of vegan ramen here. But here's a rule that can apparently now be applied to Europe: good ramen shops never have more than a handful of ramen on the menu. In any case, the ramen is just not good. Example Yuzu Ramen, carelessly put together and not coordinated, the thin broth tasted as if Knorr chicken broth had been "refined" with ready-made lemon seasoning. The noodles had not taken on the bland taste at all. In addition to a few carelessly arranged pieces of vegetables, there was also an unappetizing, thick piece of chicken fat floating in the bowl; there wasn't much of meat to be seen. We ordered takoyaki that came with a sauce that tasted suspiciously like curry ketchup(!). When it comes to the negative reviews, the store is sometimes very sensitive to criticism, but that doesn't surprise me when it comes to the kitchen. But at least the service on site was nice and the atmosphere is really nice. Too bad.

By far the best ramen in Leipzig so far. The limited dishes are highly recommended. Very tasty strong broth. Unfortunately, the stools are a bit uncomfortable in the long run, but otherwise the furnishings are very harmonious and inviting. I come here again and again and have never been disappointed

Likely one of the best Ramen places you will find in Leipzig. Let's start with the best: Their Karaage is amazing. It came out hot, larger cuts, solid crisp, fatty meat, juicy inside... it's a great dish! The Ramen itself had a very good broth and great noodles. We ordered Creamy White TanTan Men and Spicy Miso. I wonder if the recipe was adjusted for the area, as a lot of the garnish they added distracted from the actual Ramen experience, which was a shame. It started to overwhelm the dish, which some people may actually enjoy more than the traditional experience. The broth was solid but could have used more depth (it was lighter than my experience in Japan and LA). We had some bad luck with the service, where the waiter responsible for us kept forgetting about us even after approaching them. That was frustrating. It's definitely a bit on the pricier end (even compared to LA where I'm from). Usually I would have been harsher with the star rating, but I really appreciate them spreading the love for Ramen in Leipzig, so go check it out.

The service is extremely poor where cleaning, serving, ordering and paying are managed by one waiter. I spent 20 mins waiting for a seat where there's clearly an available table and more also waiting for more than 20 mins just to pay my bill. I am not complaining about the waiter, but how Takumi run a restaurant, if you just hire one more employee how much turn table you can generate is not that hard to calculate, tremendous amount of disappointed customers only make you survive when there's no competition. The service and operation process of Takumi in Germany is extremely poor, it only gets popular because people don't have a better option. The abnormal waiting queue is very normal for Takumi and as they would keep the table open and not serve anyone but Takumi Leipzig is a new low by keeping me waiting for crazy long just to pay the bill.

I really liked the large vegan selection! The taste was solid, I would have liked a little more spice. The service was really not good. I always have a lot of sympathy for the service staff but I was really very annoyed. At first we had to wait a very long time (Sunday 6:30 p.m.), which the staff can't do anything about, but later we realized why there were always such long waiting times: We had to wait a long time at the table to get tickets and be able to order. The food was brought relatively quickly (30 minutes). An appetizer wasn't included in the order but at least we didn't have to pay for it. Unfortunately, cutlery was only available upon request and we had to ask for napkins twice. When we were finished we had to wait a long time to be able to pay while many people were waiting for a table. That was a real shame.

If you want to enjoy real ramen, this is the right place! Taste and ingredients are of the highest quality. We also recommend the side dishes, which are absolutely convincing. After I've been there a few times now, I unfortunately have to give a massive deduction for the service. At times you feel like you've been turned off and forgotten. It can take over 10 minutes just for an order to be taken. The store is very busy, no question. But the organization simply doesn't work.

Service is underground. It's hard to believe that it's possible to forget your guests in such a small room. The table is not wiped down, no card is brought. The waiter sits down next to you for a small order and is totally unfriendly and unprofessional. We had to wait three quarters of an hour to order while four groups that came after us were already served and finished their food.

Safe and stable artisan ramen. There are ramen restaurants all over Germany where you can enjoy consistent quality and a wide variety of ramen. When it comes to greed, it's the type of noodles, pork bone ramen, etc. It seems like the possibilities are still expanding...! If I was going to try a middle-class ramen shop, I would choose Takumi Ramen.

I have no idea how the main dishes taste because we went for the entries. The entries were fantastic! We had most of the entries of the fist side of the menu and one vegetarian spring roll. I actually liked the spring roll most. But all very tasty. I can recommend going to Takumi.

We had to wait in line outside for a while, but it was worth it. Really delicious ramen with good noodles, super tasty soup and fresh ingredients. Crispy Chicken as a starter...highly recommended. Price performance is simply top. It wasn't the last time we were there.
