Spizz in Leipzig

Drinks came quickly and tasted good. Waiter very nice. But the drink prices are clearly too expensive. The prices on the drinks menu on their website are not correct! The nasty surprise on site: €1.20 more expensive on site... Beers 0.5l €6.50, pale ales 0.5l €7.50

The pistachio cake was very delicious!!! Diet Coke 👍. The currywurst with fries was horrible. The sausage is soggy and lukewarm. The sauce was okay but also almost cold. The repeatedly heated fries peppered with 5 fresh ones in between are the cherry on top. Something like that simply shouldn't be allowed to happen. The whole dish cost €10.90 and wasn't even at kiosk level. Transcripts are part of doing business. The kitchen should learn to estimate portions so that markdowns are kept smaller and are not foisted on the customer. The lady at the service was great. When I presented the criticism, her attitude towards the guest changed to a derogatory one. When paying, she was just like she was before, nice and accommodating.

Unfortunately, the Spizz cellar is no longer what it used to be. Over the last few months we have been repeatedly disappointed by bad DJs or yawning emptiness. Today the groaning: advertise that two floors are open, collect €8 and then don't keep your promise. Because there was supposedly too little going on, no Blackfloor was opened, which is why we came to you specifically. After we asked for the boss, we were turned away disinterestedly and told that we should write a bad Google review and be happy that we didn't have to pay €10. So don't let the advertising lure you in, ask specifically at the checkout before you pay. Simply outrageous 💁‍♀️

Super attentive. Security does a great job

We were celebrating there, it was a really nice evening and the prices for cocktails were absolutely reasonable.

Mega location. Gastronomy par excellence. There was absolutely NOTHING to complain about. Keep it up!

One floor had OK music but the air conditioning was broken, the other had bad music but the main thing was way too loud so that the speakers screamed for help. Only bearable with a lot of alcohol.

The veggie burger was better than expected, not the cocktails though. There was a cool club party going on downstairs.

I was in the club with friends at Spizz on Friday. There wasn't much going on and the clientele was mostly at least over 30. The DJ was only moderately good; when good songs were played, they were unfortunately “mixed to death” by the DJ. Unfortunately, the drinks were also relatively expensive.

Great restaurant with a great breakfast. A really nice café right on the market – perfectly located in a busy area with lots of atmosphere. The breakfast is absolutely recommended: fresh, varied and with a great selection. There is also a good selection of food throughout the day, with something for every taste. Ideal for a relaxed start to the day or a leisurely break in between. I'd love to come back!

Hallo liebe Leute. Wir hatten Besuch von schwedischen Kollegen und wollte gepflegt essen gehen. Gesagt,getan. Wir setzten uns zu fünft an einem Tisch. Die Bedienung kam Recht schnell und wir gaben unsere Bestellung auf. Die Getränke kamen dann nach 10 Minuten einzeln. Warum nicht zusammen. Prost. Punkt 1. Das erste Essen kam dann ca. nach 35-40 Minuten. 5 Minuten später das zweite Essen. Ich habe dann schon angefangen mit essen, da die restlichen drei Essen noch nicht serviert wurden. Meine Bohnen waren dann schon kalt. Nach insgesamt weiteren 10 Minuten kamen dann die restlichen drei Essen. Guten Appetit. Ich halb fertig, stellte dann fest, dass nicht nur meine Bohnen kalt waren, da ich gewartet habe, bis alle ihr essen haben, nein, ich musste feststellen, dass mein Schnitzel ein TK Schnitzel war. Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln (gekochte Kartoffeln bissl angebraten, ohne Zwiebeln und sonst was) ,Bohnen und Champignons. Das ganze kostet im Einkauf ca. 4-6 Euro. Bitte? Ich habe 20 Euro bezahlt. Für ein TK Schnitzel, für ein convenience Schnitzel, was aus dem Frost geholt und angebraten wird? Mh ok. Das esse ich definitiv nicht nochmal. Dann sahsen wir 30 Minuten nach dem Essen und wir hatten das Gefühl, uns gibt es nicht. Keiner hat abgeräumt, keiner mal nachgefragt, ob wir noch was trinken wollen. Dann dachten wir uns OK, dann gehen wir eben. Ich musste drei Mal reinrennen und sagen, dass wir bezahlen wollen, weil wir gehen wollen. Der Laden war nicht ansatzweise voll. Da waren mindestens ein Drittel der gesamten Plätze frei. Zu wenig Personal? Oder woran hat es jeleschen? Beim bezahlen, ach die wollen mir Karte bezahlen? Ok, dann hole ich noch das Gerät. WTF. In diesem Sinne. Anspruch und Realität klaffen etwas weit auseinander. Macht eure Erfahrungen, aber eine Empfehlung gibt es von mir nicht. Schönen Abend.

Nice restaurant, but the service is visibly overwhelmed on a warm day, you are left sitting for 20 minutes even though it is not full (I would understand if there was a lot going on). Otherwise the rest is pretty good :)

Drink yes, eat no. Probably the worst Königsberger Klopse in the world.

Unfortunately, an absolutely disappointing experience. There were four of us and wanted to end our evening comfortably in Spizz. But as soon as we entered via the advertised entrance, we were treated extremely disrespectfully and condescendingly by a small, tattooed bouncer. Such behavior towards paying guests is completely unacceptable. Instead of letting it ruin our evening, we decided to spend our money somewhere else - in a place where guests are treated with dignity. One thing is certain for us: never again Spizz!

I'm new to Leipzig and a regular at this club. One floor on Fridays, two on Saturdays. Friendly, competent bartenders, and the bouncers and security do a great job. All the staff were always polite and competent to me, and waiting times were minimal. I always enjoy coming here, keep it up!

There were five of us there (two adults and three children). We found a place outside. When the waitress came we immediately ordered drinks and food together. When the drinks came, two were missing. Had to point this out to the waitress. Then came with a bit of a wait. Our food all came individually. The first meal was for the oldest child. When she was finished, another one finally arrived and then two meals came in one fell swoop. At the end there were still two meals missing and one of them was a children's meal. Had to speak to the waitress again. She assured us that she would clarify this and that the food would come quickly. The portion of fries came, but the missing children's meal never arrived. When paying, the waitress was surprised that the food hadn't come. Because we didn't pay for that. I was very disappointed with the service because all the dishes came individually and we couldn't eat together. And the waitress didn't take our complaints seriously and asked us every now and then whether everything was okay and everything was there.

Chris had given us free tickets to the club and we wanted to take advantage of it. We had never been there before and were immediately shouted at by an arrogant security man that we had no business here and that we should go out again and go to the other side. Completely rude, unobjective and looking down. That's not customer service; security can also show respect, especially if you treat them with respect. We ended up going to another club and I won't mention going here again.

Drinks came very quickly. Toilets today, ladies and gentlemen alike, are dirty, dirty and stinky.

As far as the service goes, I can't complain. But what's absolutely unacceptable is that once the club opens, we have to go to the restroom in the smoking lounge. Unfortunately, this involved a long line, and it gave me an asthma attack. I had to rush out of the restaurant because I needed oxygen. That ruined the evening for me.

We went here for breakfast, it was delicious and quite inexpensive. The service was friendly and accommodating. We can recommend the Spizz.

We often come to Leipzig from Berlin and we always go to Spizz, it has become a tradition, we love it, the food is absolutely delicious and I recommend the cauliflower casserole 🤤🤤

Food was ok, service took a long time, but was nice. However, the negative bird was shot down by the security service, which denied you as a guest access to the toilets in the basement if you didn't have a ticket for the basement. That leaves 1 basin and 1 bowl for all the guys sitting upstairs, drinking and eating. - and the men's toilet looks so overused.

The ambience was chic and because there was a lot going on, “our” service was on the ball. What is not possible, however, is this smoking lounge. The dividing doors to this “lounge” were of course all open so that everyone in the non-smoking area could deeply breathe in this lounge feeling. Not that the poor people are missing out. Next are the toilets. Really disgusting! The best thing is, when the club area is open, you can only go to the toilet in the smoking lounge! Because the lower toilets are for club visitors. Thanks! I like doing that as a non-smoker and the toilet there is also much cozier! Is this in line with the Non-Smoking Protection Act?

Actually a great place, but the service wasn't good and everything took longer. We got a small table, too small for 4 despite a reservation. The view of the historic buildings from the entrance is great.

Unfortunately we didn't find the food that good. 2 out of 3 had a stomach ache from the veggie burger in the evening. Service was great and quick.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is delicious too.

I went with a couple of friends to spend some nice time together and the atmosphere was perfect for it since it wasn’t too loud but there was still some nice music playing. We ordered the hot chocolate, which was decent, some got the chicken wings, which also were okay but nothing so special. I think all the food lacked some spices and condiments. However the sauces were super tasty. I do believe the prices are nothing out of the ordinary considering that is in the city center.

Vine aquí en mi primer día con amigos y la comida y el servicio estaban en el lugar. Pedí una hamburguesa y fue una de las mejores que he probado. Más tarde volvimos a sentarnos en la sala de fumadores para tomar unas copas. En general, es un buen lugar para estar en una ubicación central. Recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera. Volvería cuando visite Leipzig de nuevo.

The burgers are very tasty as well as the house lemonade are very tasty. The service was very good and the waiting time was very short. All in all, highly recommended for a quick lunch during a city trip.

Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for the food, which is supposed to be normal according to the service. Instead of Radler we got beer, and the Königsberger Klöpse unfortunately had far too little sauce for the many potatoes.

I went there last night at around 11 p.m. with some fellow musicians after playing a concert in the Gewandhaus. According to Google, the place was open until 2 a.m. According to their own site, open end. We were there with about 10 people and there was another group of about 6 and a few other people scattered around. Nobody came to take our order so we had to order at the bar. The waiters were just hanging around the bar snacking on fries and just ignoring us. After our first round we wanted to order another round and they said that the last round was already announced. Which was not true. This was at around 11:40 p.m. When I told the waitress about the opening times on Google and their own site she told me flat out that it just wasn’t worth it to stay open. There were at least 20 customers in the place! This is just a horrible attitude towards people in general. They shouldn’t advertise open end hours and Google should change the opening hours too. All in all a terrible experience because of the people working there. I also noticed that one guy behind the bar always seemed annoyed when he looked at our table. Avoid this place!

We were just there. At the entrance I asked nicely if there was room for 3 people? We were sent upstairs and the great waitress said no, there was no more room and sent us away. However, there were still a few tables available. We stood there for a few minutes downstairs and saw that other guests went up and sat down and were not sent away. What's that supposed to mean? Where is justice here or did the nice waitress not feel like making sales? It's just a good thing that as a customer you also finance your wages. Kind regards

I came here with my friends, good experience

We were there spontaneously on a Friday evening. The two waiters who tried to seat us were slightly overwhelmed. The food was average, the price was ok. The service can definitely be improved. We had to wait forever until someone took our order, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink, what dressing we wanted with the salad, and when we paid we had to wave someone over because we were ignored for a long time despite the empty plate in front of us .

A nice atmosphere and aesthetic. Although there are a lot of staff running around there, it took a while until we were served - but that's not a problem and still very reasonable. None of the glasses were very clean; even after replacing them, impurities or food residue could be felt and seen. Hence a star deduction. The food, especially the burgers, were great. The burger bread is excellent and looks like it was homemade. All in all, a big recommendation - as long as the dishes are cleaned a little more thoroughly ;)

We really liked it! After seeing a musical we came here for food and drinks. Everyone found something and everything was very tasty, whether it was burgers, noodles or spicy meat. Our reservation request that we wanted to sit upstairs was also taken into account. The drinks are varied and there is an additional cocktail menu. We'd love to come back!

The bouncer is brimming with incompetence, arrogance and unfriendliness. I showed my ID (Austrian ID card) as requested. The doorman, who was visibly pissed off and overwhelmed with reading, said that everything was fine and that I could enter the restaurant. My colleague shows his German driving license and the gatekeeper says there is no address on the ID so he can't let him in. 1. Why does the restaurant need the customer’s address? 2. The address is not recorded on any Austrian ID card. When I mentioned this the gentleman looked amazed. My tip to the local operator! Spend a little more money and look for well-trained employees. At least those who can read and know how to behave towards customers. This arbitrary selection without rhyme or reason coupled with unfriendliness is incomprehensible to me. P.s. We weren't drunk, badly dressed or rude.

We drank mulled wine today. My husband wanted to use the toilet while walking and was refused. We returned our glasses and received a fake Thai coin instead of €2. Was that really a coincidence 🧐This is a perfidious scam

2 mal im Jahr Leipzig seit über 30 Jahren. Der Weg führt mich dann immer dorthin, weil ich begeistert war. Heute allerdings nicht, schmutzig, Tische nicht richtig sauber, unproffessionelles Personal. Ich ging zur Toilette, ließ aber sichtlich meine Sachen am Tisch zurück. In meiner Abwesenheit wurde mein Getränk, welches noch 3/4 voll war, abgeräumt. Es war einmal.....nie wieder

Unfriendly staff I was there today and even though I'm a regular customer, I was told there was no space available - despite several free, unreserved tables. I had previously asked two waiters if there was a seat available for us and both had confirmed this. I suspect this was because we came with a child and a stroller.

Cappuccino without tap water? They're not in Italy either. However, cocoa topping is a must. Barely a year has passed and: price increase again. The smell from the smoking lounge is pushed cleanly into the main room. Anyone who likes it… Thank you

Unorganisiert und unaufmerksam. Der Laden er zu 50% gefüllt (Mittags) und es sind 7 Bedienungen unterwegs gewesen. Nach 20 min. immer noch keine Aufmerksamkeit oder Hinweise. Aber hauptsächlich versammeln sich rottenartig alle Bedienungen am Hauttresen zu Gesprächen. Frechheit und Unprofessionalität in einem Raum. Wir sind dann einen Laden weiter (Barfusz) … übrigens: qualitativ und vom Service komplett das positive Gegenstück als Highlight.

And you won't be asked if you have another wish. There were enough staff. What's the point now? It was in the afternoon, so the day was still quite young... Too bad.

A very friendly waiter served us today and encouraged us to try the Leipzig Gose beer. Deliciously sour. Recommended. Ambiance is pleasant, music not too loud. Bar lighting and pictures on the wall are beautiful

I visited the Spiizz restaurant in Leipzig and was overall disappointed. First of all I would like to highlight the friendly staff. It was nice to see that people of different nationalities seemed to be working together here, and the service was polite and attentive. Unfortunately, the positive impressions ended there. The food, however, was an absolute disaster. I ordered a pork schnitzel with fried potatoes and bean vegetables, but what was served was barely edible. The “schnitzel” was wafer-thin, completely fried and so dry that it was more reminiscent of a potato pancake – far removed in taste from a schnitzel. The fried potatoes were also frozen and unappetizing, and the beans seemed to have already been through several shelf life cycles. To then charge 20 euros for this quality is a disgrace. I would have expected much more for a restaurant in such a central location. In the end, I would have preferred to eat a bratwurst at the Christmas market - that would certainly have offered me better quality. It's a shame, I'll be sure

Service underground. Waited 30 minutes for service to arrive. You had to go in and let them know that you would like to order something. It was also noticed and there was no response. We went to Spizz for breakfast for the first time today. We had reserved. After 40 minutes the breakfast came, the mini portions & the croissants came later than the rest. Price performance doesn't fit here at all. Tk rolls, packaged TK sausage for €8.00. Thanks no.

Had dinner at spizz in the afternoon. In contrast to usual, service was more than listless. As soon as we entered the location, we heard groans of annoyance. Apparently she didn't think about hygiene when she prepared tea for other guests and touched the flesh of the lemon with her bare hands, which she had just used to receive the money. A nice spot for a good meal. The food was well-prepared and tasted great, with fresh ingredients and good portion sizes. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. While it wasn’t an extraordinary experience, it’s definitely a solid choice if you’re looking for a reliable restaurant to enjoy a pleasant meal in the centeral square.

Food was drowned in fat, there were extremely long waiting times for the food and drinks, but the service was friendly and very sorry. As an apology, the espresso was free. The music in the store was very loud for the early afternoon. In the evening I would understand it.

Cozy and particularly delicious food is what you expect at Spizz. The waiters are quick and notice immediately when you need something new. So you'll be happy to come back at any time 🤗

It's a racist place. I've been living in Germany for 6 years and no one asked me for a passport. I've a valid residence since last 6 years. No one has ever asked me for my passport. In Germany, in general, the service provider doesn't have any authority to demand a passport. I presented my residence permit but somehow that was not enough. And you don't carry around your passport when you've a resident permit in Germany. This is a Racist place. If you're against racism, ignore this place. Lets stand together against Racism.

I've never seen such an intelligence deficit in bouncers. I can't even say which one was worse. Whether it's the adult who systematically insults you - or the woman who reduces you to the rest of your life. I'm sure of both They either earn the minimum wage or are just dissatisfied in life. Furthermore, you can't do anything in the club because there's no one there. The organizers can't manage, firstly, to get everyone into the club in a long time (most of them were still queuing at 1 a.m.) and secondly, to clear the space on the street for guests and outsiders. In addition, the music is not appropriate (for everyone). One solution: fire the bouncers, change the DJ and let everyone in for free for half a year so that the reputation can be rebuilt

Unfreundlich, unverschämt, komplett unorganisiert und respektlos. Würde ich niemanden empfehlen. Wir standen 3 Stunden an, um in den Club zu kommen und durften am Ende nicht rein, weil der Türsteher auf Anweisungen bestand, die nicht vorher klar gestellt wurden. Geht dort niemals hin!!!! Reine Geldabzocke und hoffe, das dieser Laden bald geschlossen wird! Die Menschen, die dort arbeiten sind absolute Unmenschen, was sie wahrscheinlich alleine schon damit beweisen werden, wenn dieser Kommentar gelöscht wird und die Wahrheit über diesen unverschämten Laden weiterhin verborgen bleibt. Bleibt dem Club fern! SOS!! Ihr werdet es bereuen. ALARM LEUTE!!!!👿👿👿

Went to Spizz for the first time on a Thursday evening. Service, prices and food are ok, it's Leipzig City. I had gratinated sheep's cheese, it was tasty, but there was too much tomato for me.

First time in my life that I am typing a review, that says enough. Service was poor, unfriendly staff, and food and drinks were still not delivered to the table after asking 3 times. BAD!

The food was very tasty but we had to wait way too long for our food, we only had 1 hour to look around! Shame

A failure for the second time. The service came after several minutes, what felt like hours, when we asked whether it was self-service. Then she pointed out that breakfast had been over for a few minutes (8), took our order because it was her fault, only to announce shortly afterwards that there were no more eggs, etc. No recommendation for Leipzig's guests.

The waiter Julius is really great at his job. And Jan is really good too. The food tastes very tasty and you can't complain about the service.👍
