Spicy Karaage Onigiri with three small strips of chicken in a mass of rice. I ordered two onigiri, both super small. I have no idea who keeps saying they're so big and so much. It's ridiculous for 3.80, but with just rice, it's a rip-off. Overpriced and completely overhyped. There are better ones in the Asian supermarkets to the right and left of this store. Never again.

Very good food for a fair price. I ordered the Onigiri Set ( I chose the tuna and the teriyaki Onigiri), and I was speechless. The Miso-soup comes very warm and salty, the sausages are okay, but the fried chicken pieces and the onigiris took my breath away. 10/10 recommend.

The takoyaki on Tako Tuesday are very, very delicious. They don't skimp on the bonito flakes, and the balls themselves offer an unsurpassed flavor. I'd love to come back :)

they recently changed their policy for indoor seating, it's only exclusive for customers who order their set menu and single orders has to take it to go. before, it was already expensive but the taste was really good and you get indior seating so it was worth it...but now it's no longer worth the price. taking it to go just doesn't taste as good.

By far the best Takoyakis and Onigiris I’ve had so far. Everything was fresh, authentic and extremely delicious, I always come here anytime I visit Düsseldorf. I also had the Croissant Taiyaki which was probably the best one I’ve ever had. The red bean paste was smooth and not chunky and the outside really tasted like a croissant

I only ordered a taiyaki to go, but I have to say it tasted incredibly good. Service was fast, and the croissant taiyaki with bean paste was amazing. I'll definitely be back.

Oh my goodness, this was the BEST birthday meal! 🎉 From the moment I walked in, I felt transported straight to Japan. The authentic Japanese decor is stunning — it truly captures the vibe of being in Tokyo. And the food… wow, just wow. I had to try their specialty Takoyaki (so delicious 😍), a huge, perfectly stuffed onigiri, refreshing algae salad, and a warm cup of matcha tea. For dessert, I had the croissant taiyaki, which was absolutely incredible! Each dish was bursting with flavor, and I loved how everything felt so authentic and fresh. The staff was super friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. I loved being able to watch them cook live — it really added to the excitement. Plus, the cute kawaii details throughout the restaurant were just the cherry on top. 🍣🍵 I can’t wait to go back to Düsseldorf and try even more dishes from this amazing place. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving authentic Japanese food!

Three reasons to always come here: The staff are always very nice and friendly :) I arrive at some point, I never wait, I go straight in and order :) And most importantly: it's very tasty!!!

In my opinion one of the best restaurants here - I really felt like I was in Japan for a moment.

The hot, tasty takoyaki filling was really nice in the cold weather. The croissant-style Taiyaki were also amazing, and the black sesame hot latte was simply perfect.

I spent a short break in the Japanese Quarter with my girlfriend and went here twice for lunch. All in all, I was more than satisfied. Good atmosphere, not too big, and absolutely authentic food with excellent service. It's worth it!

Great place for takoyaki and onigiri!

A small, lively shop with a variety of delicious takoyaki. The batter is crispy on the outside and super creamy on the inside. The squid is quite large and really tasty. Each variety has a special sauce and a delicious topping. Unfortunately, there aren't many seats, and the wait is quite long. Always happy to go back...

I've been here many times and ordered takoyaki to go, and I was very satisfied. However, today was a disaster. I came all the way from Cologne to eat here. My two children and I were seated at a table where water was dripping from the ceiling, making it impossible to sit and eat properly because the table and benches were filled with water. They apologized, wiped it away, and that was it. All the tables were free, so why did they have to seat us at that table? Then I ordered a set meal with two onigiri that were very dry and had very little tuna. The nori sheet was completely soggy, and the rice was a bit hard. I ordered the takoyaki teriyaki mayo and received takoyaki sauce mayo. I only noticed it when I opened the takoyaki to cool. But no one had eaten it yet. When I asked, I was told I had to order new takoyaki and that they couldn't change it. That's really bad service. I pay a lot of money as a customer and then have to accept the waiter's mistake and pay for and eat a dish I didn't order. I've never experienced anything like this before. I'm usually very satisfied with the restaurant, but today it was all too much.

Good Takoyaki and excellent service.

Wow, I don't even know where to begin. The takoyaki were the worst I've ever eaten. A millimeter-thick layer of crispy batter, then a liquid batter and chewing gum octopus inside, and all this after waiting half an hour because two other customers were ahead of me. The staff were completely overwhelmed; two people served the shop and the takeaway, and they cooked—a disaster! At least the shop still looked somewhat Japanese, that was the only bright spot.

Unfortunately a complete disappointment. I had the takoyaki menu, which included 6 takoyaki, 2 small sausages, 2 onigiri of your choice, and a miso soup. The takoyaki were much too light on the outside and very soft. The inside was as soft as usual, but the octopus inside felt like chicken. I had to check twice to see if I could see a tentacle. I had the standard version with mayo and bonito flakes, but there was still a minty taste that I found completely out of place. The service was great, fast, and friendly. The onigiri tasted good but not outstanding. The filling was very sparingly applied but tasty. I thought the miso soup was perfectly seasoned and as it should be. The little sausages on the side were simple, run-of-the-mill mini Krakow sausages, but they were filled with cheese, which softened the flavor and made it less heavy. The price is actually great for so much, but the taste was a disappointment for me personally. The ambience is really nice and designed with a lot of love, and being able to watch the takoyaki being made is an absolute highlight.

First of all, your food is delicious. We always came all the way from Aachen to come to you. But you're not doing yourself any favors with your new "seating rules." If you don't eat a set meal, you have to sit outside despite the rain and order takeout, even though the restaurant was empty and the individual items were far more expensive than your set meals. Unfortunately, you lost us as customers and gained the Korean restaurant around the corner. Best regards

Unfortunately, the filling was tough and the sauces were way too sweet, so I didn't really enjoy it. However, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was nice and hip.

Extremely delicious food and lovely ambience!

We visited with our family and ordered takoyaki in original and kimchi cheese flavors as well as croissant taiyaki with red beans and edamame. Everything tasted really good and we enjoyed the food outside in a cozy atmosphere. The portions were a nice size for both kids and adults and the place felt very family friendly. Perfect little snacks to experience the atmosphere of Little Tokyo. Definitely worth a try!

Takoyaki Tuesday is definitely worth it, and it tastes so good. Be sure to let it cool down, though, because you can burn yourself so easily.

Restaurant with takeout, indoor and outdoor seating. Outside, you order at the takeout window, but your food is brought to you. However, there are no menus outside. One star deducted for the ambiance because the outdoor seating is next to the street, but nicely shaded by trees. Everything is freshly prepared, so we had to wait about 20 minutes in a relatively long line. We had veggie mala pakuchi takoyaki, original takoyaki, yakitori, and various onigiri: unagi, spicy karaage, and tempura mix. Everything was delicious, especially the onigiri, which are a hit. We'd go back.

I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. Their most famous dish is these octopus-filled balls. Their dough is firmer on the outside than the inside. The inside is soft and has different flavors.

Stopped here for Japan Day. Incredibly good and absolutely authentic takoyaki. They're freshly made and incredibly delicious. We'll be back soon and try the rest of the menu! And here we are again on our vacation; today we tried the set menu with onigiri, takoyaki miso soup, and two small sausages. Simply amazing and just as delicious as everything else! Will probably become our permanent spot in Düsseldorf!

Didn't try takoyaki before so can't compare, but I'd say they were pretty good. Matcha latte was nice as well. What's very good is that in case of dine-in you get a card and when you're done you bring it to counter to pay or order more. Very convenient since you don't have to wait for waiter after you finished your meal.

Really nice place with a good-looking interior and exterior. It can get a bit busy after lunch, so if you’re not patient, the wait might be a downside. That said, it’s worth it the takoyaki was excellent and definitely something I’d recommend trying.

Really cool, delicious food and good service

I only tried one taiyaki to go, so I didn't have to wait too long. The cake was hot and crispy, but one corner was a bit burnt. The red bean paste was cooked with sugar and was too sweet, and the pie crust tasted a bit like a croissant.

The environment is great, but the octopus balls are terrible... too much ginger, soft ball skin, and the octopus is fishy. Run!

Their takoyaki taste like the ones in Osaka. Iced matcha latte is also delicious.

Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside – really well made. The onigiri were just as delicious, so I immediately ordered six more to take home. 😍 A real insider tip for anyone who loves Japanese street food. We'll definitely be back!

I’m not a big fan of takoyaki, so I got the ramen instead. No regrets! It was tasty! The broth was light and the noodle was chewy. I’d recommend it!

Takoyaki Teppachi is a must-visit! Proper authentic Japanese street food, and the octopus-filled dough balls are unreal, crispy outside, gooey inside, packed with flavour. Loved watching them being made fresh right in front of us. So, so good!

The best Takoyaki I have ever had and I'm also in love with their Onigiri & Karaage as well. Even my husband, who has studied there agreed with me. We wanted to dine-in so we waited until 12am but if you want to take-away then it starts at 11:30am already. The service is amazing, staffs are really nice and the food arrived fast. Highly recommended 😆😆😆

We wanted to eat takoyaki at the store, but even though several groups of people who came after us for takeout have long since left, we're still waiting in line for food at the restaurant...

I arrived there first because I saw online that the onigiri are freshly prepared there. I saw a lady at the reception who didn't hear me at first. It can happen. She looked pretty stressed but didn't think anything of it and spoke to me normally. I got my order pretty quickly and sat down straight away to eat the onigiri. I opened the box and saw that it was almost falling apart. These aren't real onigiri. The nori sheet is also very soft, even though it should still be relatively brittle for real onigiri. The meat itself was quite good, tender and with a good sauce.

Based on many positive reviews and YouTubers, I tried this shop because I eat onigiri quite often. I ordered three varieties here. Tuna, chicken, and spicy chicken, all to go. The shop was completely empty, and there was no one in line for takeout either. However, when I got home, I discovered that my order had been prepared incorrectly. - The onigiri with tuna on top only contained chicken. - The onigiri with chicken on top had no filling other than rice. - Only the onigiri with spicy chicken actually had spicy chicken in it and was prepared correctly. Unfortunately, this onigiri can't compete with all the shops in the area. The rice was really tasty, but all the other ingredients were more than disappointing. Especially for the price of €4 each, I expect better quality. Several other shops (less than a minute's walk away) offer significantly better onigiri in terms of taste and quality, and they also cost a bit less. I can't say anything about the other products.

Always crowded but more then worth it if you want to taste something really unique. I highly recommend getting the classic first if you are new to takoyaki. It is such a bizar experience. A massive flavor explosion and flavors you never had before with new textures. Nothing is really comparable and I feel like this is the real deal. Also. If this is your first time, CAREFULL, HOT! They have liquid inside that was boiling.

Absolutely excellent takoyaki in various variations. The ramen soup is also extremely delicious. From 5:00 PM onwards, the line sometimes starts to get quite long.

This was my first time here. The restaurant is simple but beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly. I tried the takoyaki and karaage. The takoyaki were surprisingly soft, almost runny in consistency – completely different from what I had imagined, but still delicious. The egg on top went particularly well with it. The karaage with the spicy mayo was also really good – the mayo, in particular, had just the right amount of spice. Overall, a delicious experience; I'd be happy to come back!

The takoyaki here is delicious. The onigiri are also very tasty. Very pleasant atmosphere, very authentic food. All at a very reasonable price, very good value for money.

You can get delicious, freshly prepared takoyaki here. We had the original version and the kimchi with cheese, and we can recommend both versions. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Düsseldorf.

Wow—those were the best takoyaki I've ever eaten! Super juicy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. You can simply taste the real passion and craftsmanship that went into this. If you're in Düsseldorf and love takoyaki (or want to try it), you have to stop by!

I was really looking forward to takoyaki – a dish you don't find very often in Germany and something I miss from Japan. But what was served was a disappointment: The batter wasn't crispy on the outside, but rather soft and sloppy, which robbed the dish of any interesting texture. Especially considering the price, it wasn't worth it for me. Maybe it was an outlier, but I had hoped for much more.

Absolute recommendation! We were there on Monday lunchtime. The employees were all so nice, the food came to the table quickly, fresh and hot. Reordering is then done via a website. We drank Kiwi Calpico, which I thought was delicious! The original karaage tasted best. Thank you!

Fantastic food, highly recommended! Incredibly delicious food here! The choice is enormous and everything we tried tasted perfect. You can look into the kitchen and see that everything is freshly and carefully prepared to order, which makes it extra special. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and both the portions and the decor are excellent. A really nice place to sit and enjoy good food. The only downside: the extraction does not seem to work optimally, causing your clothes to smell like cooking odor afterwards. But to be honest, we like to take that for granted, because the quality of the food makes up for everything. We will definitely come back here again, it was truly a great experience!

Inferior store. A small position takes 30 minutes even though I was given 10 minutes.

This is one of the cooler to go street food orders I’ve had in a while! Absolutely authentic with a great vibe, beautiful decor and laidback, but efficient and friendly employees and food packed to the brim with great love and flavors. We ordered their croissant tayaki with bean paste which felt both fresh and of high quality and good ingredients. Super tasteful and fun to eat. Their veggie tuna onigiri was also a great purchase and perfect snack on the go. A must visit while in Düsseldorf if one is on the hunt for snacks and street foods!

Spending the Easter weekend in Düsseldorf in Little Japan, wandered the city and needed refuelling. Walking along Immermannstrasse, I saw a huge queue outside one of the Japanese street food restaurants. When there is a queue outside, it’s usually a sign of something good to come. Originally, I joined the queue for the takeaway hatch. Then I noticed that there was actually some space to dine indoors after a couple of groups left. The welcome was warm and I was quickly sat down with a selection of menus. Unfortunately, there are no menus in English…. but I speak a little German and I have google translate on my camera. When you are seated, after a quick intro to the menu by the team member and an initial order of two items from the Takoyaki options and a beer, you are introduced to the online menu system. From the first item order, you’re invited to add more items via a QR code system. Again, this is in German only, so have your google translate to hand. My only gripe with this system, is that it of course requires an internet connection. The restaurant does not offer WiFi for diners, and not all tourist diners are equally supplied by roaming data as I am. Regardless of that, I easily added some items to my order. First of all, I ordered the Teppachi Ramen… and not long after that, a second beer. The food, both the ramen and Takoyaki were extremely delicious and you can tell the Takoyaki is made fresh to order. The food was lovely and hot and full of flavour and texture. Feeling peckish, I added three Onigiri; Unagi, BBQ Pork, and Spicy Karaage. The rice was perfectly cooked and the interiors were again full of flavour. By the middle of the second Onigiri I was at bursting point. Truly a meal that satisfied me. Definitely a place to visit and experience. Even though the shop is particularly known for its tako-yakis, I ordered a set consisting of two onigiris, 4 karaage and a miso soup. These were the best onigiris I have eaten so far. Freshly made and therefore still warm. Super tasty. The karaage was also very tasty and juicy. The service cannot be surpassed in terms of friendliness. The shop itself is totally authentic. Unfortunately, one point deducted for the air in the store. Unfortunately, either the exhaust didn't work properly or it's always like that. But after you've been there, everything smells extremely like a snack and unfortunately the scent doesn't go away that quickly. Still a spot that I would love to come back to when I'm in the area again.

The original takoyaki had a soggy taste. We went there about 12:30pm. The line for ordering take out was very long. After finally finished ordering, we waited another 15 minutes to get our food. If the food was good, we might be able to tolerate the longer period time of waiting. But the takoyaki was nowhere close to tasty.

The freshly made onigiris were generously filled, and the takoyaki were also delicious.
