Good price and delicious food, although the service and kitchen were a bit slow.

It was our first and last visit. The best thing was the gentleman at reception, who tried to get us a table despite the cash reservation only possible with Opentable and even helped with delivery at times. Our waiter was impossible. We sat waiting for a long time while he drank a coffee and chatted with a colleague at times. We only received his attention after my companion looked for a bowl to fill it and stood around a bit perplexed. Then we were told that it didn't work that way and that he would come straight away to explain it to us. Even the drinks that were ordered straight away took a lot of time even though it was still almost empty and someone was working at the bar. The selection of raw materials for preparation was good, but the preparation by the obvious assistants in the small kitchen was not at all. It made me think of a review I read where the rhetorical question was asked how you manage to have one side burnt and the other side still raw. Some of my things were burnt and that. My companion's meat was fried to death. We asked if we wanted something more to drink, dessert or something else, there was nothing else.

We ate the Asian Sunday buffet. The selection of salads and starters is very limited. The vegetables are freshly blanched at the soup station. The waffles are also only baked when needed. The main focus is on the grill station. The selection of vegetables is huge. For example, there were four species of mushrooms, three of which I didn't know. The selection of fish is also amazing. But you also have to watch out for bones. However, the baleening takes quite a long time.

The staff were consistently attentive and friendly, as well as being extremely sociable and joking. You had the feeling that they enjoyed their job. The selection of ingredients is large, the quality is good and the finished products (which of course you largely influence yourself) were always very tasty! Great marinades and exceptional meat selection. The atmosphere is cozy and it's not too loud in the shop. The seating is comfortable and invites you to linger for a longer period of time. A very cool concept with great implementation. Gladly again!

The food was great and the selection was large, there was something for everyone. There are little things that can be improved - there is a lack of salt while the dishes are being prepared, even if you have salt there with the ingredients, it would be better to add it in the kitchen and/or place salt and pepper on the tables if necessary after seasoning. The ambience is very nice.

The buffet is extensive and exceptional. There should be something for every taste. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I am very satisfied and would love to visit this restaurant again and again.

I've been a fan of Mongos for many years because I can get fresh food from an endless selection of ingredients. In addition to the special exotic types of meat, there are also classic things, lots of fish and many more vegetables. All the marinades are super tasty and you can't manage as much as you would like in one visit. The prices are between really high and the biggest point of criticism in summer is that there are no outdoor spaces and no air conditioning or good ventilation inside. (In summer it is better to go to Duisburg's inner harbor.)

Reminded me of a school cafeteria. Do It Yourself might be seen as flexible and fun - but the quality just isn't there. I don't want to pay $30+ for a bowl of frozen vegetables and meat that's been out all evening to be overcooked in a flavorless sauce. I tried 2 sauces. The first bowl with pineapple curry sauce was drowning in flavorless sauce and wasn't very hot. The second bowl has massaman spice sauce (it had ok flavor, so I added Chinese 5 spice) and this bowl was overcooked. IT ALSO CONTAINED INGREDIENTS I DIDNT ADD! I believe they don't clean the pan every time. I shouldn't find other people's food in my bowl!

We have been regular customers for almost 15 years, unfortunately the quality of the food has really declined. This time the chicken was very fatty, and unfortunately the salmon wasn't of good quality either, some of it was oily. Some ingredients such as ginger and sunflower seeds are missing. The sauce from the bread was very “watery” compared to before. The sauces don't taste as great as they used to either. The desserts at brunch have also gone way down. We can understand that for economic reasons certain products can no longer be sold in line with the market, but one should at least maintain a quality standard that was undoubtedly top in the past. Even if it means limiting the offering a little more, the quality itself is and remains important. It's really a shame because you can see that there are a lot of corners being cut. It felt like the windows hadn't been cleaned for months. We will stay away from Mongos for now and hope that the quality will return to what it used to be. As always, the service staff did a great job, even though some of them appear to be still at the beginning of their careers.

wir hatten an dem Abend mit dem Mongos Rabatt eingecheckt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und zu unserem Tisch gebracht. Der weitere Service war hervorragend, freundliche Bedienung, immer gesehen, dass Teller abgeräumt werden können, nach Getränkewünschen gefragt, etc. Die Neuerung mit dem Salatbuffet ist ebenfalls sehr positiv von uns angenommen worden. Immer wieder ein Vergnügen. Interieur schön, Essen super. Service ausnahmsweise mal so lala, weil ganz neue Kraft, aber bemüht. Sonntagsbrunch einfach toll mit Kindern. Zum Glück nur halb voll. Was man wissen muss: es ist einfach laut, viele Tische, Akustik sorgt für sehr hohen Geräuschpegel. Chef ist einfach super

Wir haben einen schönen Abend im Mongo's verbracht. Man hat die Wahl zwischen Mongo's Total für 32,90€ oder 100-Gramm weise abgewogen für 3,55€/100g. Wir haben uns für Mongo's Total entschieden und uns durch die frischen Zutaten geschlemmt. Neben den gängigen Fleischsorten gab es noch Elch, Strauß, Känguru und Zebra. Beim Fisch war die Auswahl auch toll. Frische Tintenfischringe, Seekarten, Knurrkahn, Kabeljau, Miesmuscheln, Tigergarnelen, Lachs und noch mehr. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Mongonade. Sehr lecker und erfrischend. Der Service war freundlich und wir waren zufrieden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We tested the Asian Sunday brunch for the second time. The food was great the second time too. The meat, vegetables and other ingredients were super fresh. We tried the Mongonade Mango drink this time. Very refreshing and super tasty 😊 For dessert we had chocolate cake with a liquid center 😋 a dream 😁

One of the best restaurant concepts I know! The only negative point is that you can't try everything 😂 Fresh ingredients, large selection (there are 4 types of mushrooms!), cool interior. On Friday and Saturday evenings it's always quite crowded with party people, so my tip is Sunday brunch, where everything is much more relaxed and family friendly.

Unfortunately disappointed: drowned in soy/salt, quality of meat, well that's how it works, all you can eat: get 2, last round, because a little later, what? The sauces, well, not exactly great either. The service was nice, if confused. Ambience nice.

Wir hatten am Sonntag um 16:00 reserviert. Ich war zum ersten Mal dort. Es waren nur 5 Tische belegt, was eine sehr ruhige Atmosphäre zur Folge hatte, sehr chillig. Freundlich erklärte man mir, wie sich die Speisen zusammenstellen lassen und wie es Preislich berechnet wird, ich wählte das Buffet aus. Essen sehr schmackhaft und appetitlich zubereitet in Verbindung mit einem leckeren Cocktail. Danke

Die Kellner:innen waren total bemüht, aber die Köche völlig überfordert. Wir haben teilweise mehr als 30 Minuten auf unser Essen gewartet und empfanden dies als so unterirdisch, dass wir definitiv das letzte Mal im Mongo's waren.

Der Service ist richtig klasse. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist bekanntlich mehr als ausreichend. Persönlich finde ich es einfach zu warm. Etwas klimatisierter und ich hätte auch noch eine Nachspeise genommen oder einen Cocktail getrunken.

Trotz Feueralarm und Ausfall der Lüftung war alles in Ordnung. Leider konnten wir nicht mehr essen aber gut, dafür können die Mitarbeiter nichts.

Wir sind immer wieder gerne im Mongo 's. Leider wurde beim letzten Mal unser Dessert vergessen und es dauerte allgemein sehr lange bis die Schalen zurück am Tisch waren. Das war aber das erste Mal so. Sonst super Location mit sehr leckeren Essen und gut gelaunten Servicekräften.

Service was really top that evening. Food was good and fresh, but you can expect a bit of a wait. Especially if you eat there on a Friday evening. The price is a bit higher, €45 (including drinks), but for fresh all-you-can-eat with a salad bar it's very good.

In this regard, the choice for people who don't know anything about grasshoppers etc. is quite limited. Long waiting time between assembling the portions that are to be fried, which then conflicts with the maximum specified dwell time. The price is justified because there are exceptional types of meat such as kangaroo. For visitors who are not so keen to experiment, it is an expensive undertaking. The staff is nice and the location is clean.

Eine Stunde nach dem ersten Gang auf weitere Getränke gewartet und 30 Minuten auf die Rechnung .

Erwartungsgemäß war es an einem Samstagabend sehr voll und der Geräuschpegel entsprechend. Der Service war sehr gut und das Essen ebenfalls. Einzig ließ das Essen jede Runde sehr auf auch warten und je später der Abend, desto länger dauerte es, obwohl die Zahl der Besucher abnahm. Mehr als vier Runden waren innerhalb von drei Stunden nicht drin, was das Preisleistungsverhältnis trübt.

On Friday evening I had dinner here with a friend and I definitely had to leave a review. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, but the best part was the service. Unfortunately I didn't ask the waiter what his name was, but it was just perfect! Even though the restaurant was full, he still had time to come to us several times and see what we needed.

Meat frozen. Meat tough and laced with tendons. Not parsed, not well cut into pieces. This results in lumps of meat in the plate. Cheapest meat quality. Just because e.g. Zebra doesn't mean delicious zebra meat. Always foreign ingredients in your own dish, e.g. Nuts, peppers, even broccoli, garlic pieces (I don't like garlic) Service top, but at the limit. Mongonade: based on lemon soda and supplemented with ingredients, e.g. Add diced mango and half (dried) passion fruit or a cut stalk of lemongrass. Dessert simple convenience products. Loading seems to be heavily optimized for profit.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 20.30 und man habe uns versichert es sei genug Zeit um Buffet zu essen. Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht da die Kellner ab 21.15 uns angegangen haben zu Stressen und alle 5 Minuten fragten ob wir noch was zu essen wollen sonst würden sie abräumen . Ab halb 10 konnten wir nicht mehr zum Buffet ganz zu Schweiger von der Vorspeise da war nichts mehr von da.. Und der Nachtisch wurde auch um viertel vor 10 weg geräumt Wir sind auf Empfehlung gekommen sind aber mit einer großen Enttäuschung gegangen und zwar wir alle , wir waren zu 6 Erwachsenen.

Das Essen war wirklich lecker ! Die Auswahl an vegetarische Zutaten war groß und vielfältig. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis für Mongos vergießen Total ist super. Wir waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal da !

Nach langem mal wieder da gewesen. Wie gewohnt sehr nettes und aufmerksames Persona. Wir sind beide mehr als satt geworden.
