went there with my little sister, the waitresses were super rude, even though many people left and there was no reservation sign on the tables they let us wait for a long time. no one greeted us, no one asked us questions or informed us about anything. my sister is wearing a hijab and the waitresses literally ran away from us, we had eye contact many times( especially the blonde woman) but they just passed by, after that they said „we dont have seats“.. mind you; there were many seats available. super dissapointing because we knew that place when they were new and when they were a „family restaurant“.. it seems to have changed…. never again.. service 0, communication 0, affability 0, hostility 0

We spontaneously decided to go to Taklamakan, were actually lucky enough to get a table for two, and were absolutely delighted. From the service (many thanks to Nadine!), to the truly delicious food, we were very, very pleasantly surprised. The value for money was outstanding!

A definite recommendation if you want to try something different! I'm a huge fan of Kesme Laghmen, and the portion is usually enough for the next day 😉 You'll be more than satisfied, and considering that, plus the fact that it's homemade noodles, I think the price is really good value!

Service and atmosphere were good, 2nd level has a very cosy feel. The food was yummy but really nothing special, and we felt overall was abit over priced.

There were five of us eating here. We had to wait for several minutes at the entrance before anyone even spoke to us. The service was generally very slow and unfriendly. The pasta was okay, but there was very little meat, making it far too expensive in my opinion. My girlfriend's meal (number 15, filled dumplings) was rather bland and had an odd texture. The food was then served to us without cutlery, which took another two or three minutes. We only received four napkins for five people. This could be improved with a little more thought. Overall, the price and quality don't match. My girlfriend and I paid 70 euros for two main courses, two drinks, and a bottle of water. We've had much, much better meals elsewhere for the same price. The place was packed, but I honestly can't understand why. It was our first and last time there.

The food is way too greasy; there was lochia living in my plate. The egg soup smelled like feet. The chairs were incredibly uncomfortable. And the price was outrageous. Go to the Riem Arcaden and try Taklamakan. It's cheaper and tastes much better.

In a beautifully decorated room, delicious and pleasantly exotic dishes are served with a smile by an attentive waitress. Be warned, some palates might find it a little spicy!

Unfortunately, the food couldn't quite keep up: The prices are very high for what's on offer, and the taste took some getting used to. Perhaps something for adventurous palates, but for me personally, it wasn't an experience I'd want to repeat.

Very tasty noodles! There's a small but adequate menu of Uyghur specialties. We had dumplings with beef filling. Very finely seasoned. Egg custard soup, which was sensationally seasoned. And noodles with beef. Very long noodles. Truly something different. The service was friendly and efficient. The ambiance was a bit unusual for an Asian restaurant. Reservations recommended.

The atmosphere is very comfortable. There's enough space for private conversation. The service is pleasant, too. And the food tastes really good.

We initially had a reservation for weeks close next door at Gasthaus Istarthur, but when we got there the people acted as if we had no idea what we were talking about. We said the reservation was made weeks ago and the host didn’t even answer, just walked away. So we went outside to try and look up another place, but the people inside came chasing us outs saying they were sorry and they had our table. We went in and sat down and it was extremely dirty with stains everywhere so we decided not to go there and stumbled next door to Taklamakan. That was the biggest blessing that ever could have happened to us. We have been on vacation for two weeks and this is the best meal we have had by far (we’ve been to 3 separate Michelin star restaurants thus far so that is saying something). The service is fantastic (Selen was our waitress, and she is incredible!!!), the servers work their butts off and the food is quite literally to die for. We had dumplings and the minced meat buns for an appetizer and they were so good we wanted to order two more of each. We saved ourselves for our dinner though, and it was incredibly delicious. The noodles, the meat and every single thing we ordered was phenomenal. We were so full but just kept eating because it was so good. If you have any chance to go here, definitely do so. Every other place we passed by was completely packed tonight with no room for reservations, but this place was took us in graciously and blew us out of the water. We would come here a thousand times over. We hope they open one in America!!

Our family has been on a 2 week European vacation and this was the best meal we’ve had on the whole trip! We originally were supposed to go to a traditional German beer garden but the atmosphere was terrible, loud, and the food didn’t even look good. We did a quick google search and this place was a 2 min walk, and thank god we made the switch. The staff was so nice, sat us down in 2 minutes even when the place was full of people. The drinks were delicious, the appetizers were fantastic, and the main noodle plates were full of flavor and had enormous portion sizes. Our waitress was so kind and helpful and provided great recommendations. She was such a hard worker, helping every table around us while still providing our table with plenty of attention. I cannot recommend this place enough, 5 stars is not enough to give. If you are looking for a delicious meal, flavorful food, and top notch service, give Taklamakan a try - you won’t regret it!!

Top-notch and exceptionally good! Clear recommendation

Aside from the €80 for two people and the hair in the food, I can't recommend this restaurant under any circumstances. My partner's food had a hair found in it. The plate was sent to the kitchen, the hair was removed, and the food was microwaved for 10 minutes to make it look like it had been freshly prepared. No free drink or bill reduction. I would be ashamed as a restaurateur. Of course, we had to wait almost 20 minutes for the bill. First and last time.

Incredibly good pasta dishes with a very special texture. We always come here for handmade pasta and have never been disappointed. From the regular noodles to the slightly spicy fried ones, everything is incredibly delicious and very well seasoned. The owners are super nice and have often found us a table even though we didn't have a reservation and the place was full. Highly recommended! I can't understand the other reviews at all.

I recently had the most amazing experience at Taklamakan Restaurant in Munich 🇩🇪. The Lagmen was absolutely delicious, and I savored every single bite of it. The restaurant's ambience was so inviting, making me feel comfortable and relaxed 😊. Furthermore, the staff provided exceptional service, always attentive and friendly. Delicious Uyghur cuisine in a cozy atmosphere Highly recommended

We always love coming here. The lovely, pleasant ambiance with beautiful wooden tables and the spiral staircase to the upper floor. The food—especially the handmade noodles with vegetables, beef, and sauce—is a dream. You have to try them at least once, otherwise you're missing out.

Yes, it's delicious, but unfortunately a bit less authentic than it used to be at the main station, so the food doesn't quite match the high prices at the moment.

The food was great, but the service could have been a lot better. First they brought a beer that tasted like soup water. Then after an hour waiting for our food, we found out that our order wasn't sent to the kitchen. Then when we ordered another round of beers the wrong beers were brought. I've worked 20 years in gastro and customer service, so I have lots of patience to know that mistakes can happen. But though they corrected the mistakes, there was no compensation or apologies for the inconvenience. It left us feeling like we needed to double check the bill, which added unnecessary mistrust when all we were looking for was a relaxing night out.

Food was decent and came out in a reasonable time once ordered, but the overall service experience was very poor. We had to wait quite a while to be seated because there was no one at the reception to greet us. Our waitress served us sparkling water instead of still water, and even after pointing it out, we had to remind her twice and wait around 5 minutes before getting it. It also took a long time for her to take our orders — we literally had to wave her over. By the end, she even asked if we’d like to tip her, which felt inappropriate given the service. We still gave €3 out of politeness, but honestly, we won’t be coming back. Out of the €85 spent, only about €30 felt worth it.

Our highlight of the Munich trip: We went to the restaurant because of a TikTok video and were pleasantly surprised by the food. It was both our first Uyghur experience and certainly won't be the last. If spicy food isn't your thing, just let the waitress know, and she'll accommodate.

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. The service was slow, the staff seemed disinterested, and the food didn’t live up to the hype or pricing. What made it worse was the attitude of the manager—completely unaccommodating and unwilling to address our concerns. Hospitality seemed to be the last thing on their mind. Definitely not coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting decent service.

5 stars! Absolutely recommended! I've been to Taklamakan a few times now and have always been thrilled. The entire team is incredibly warm, attentive and makes you feel comfortable from the first moment. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, simply a place to switch off and enjoy. The food is fantastic — fresh, prepared with a lot of love and tastes really of a very high standard. You immediately notice that quality comes first here. The drinks are also great and the selection leaves nothing to be desired. A big compliment to the entire team for the passion and great hospitality that you feel here. I'll definitely be back and can highly recommend Taklamakan to everyone!

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. We had to wait over an hour for our order and had to ask several times before anything happened. When the food finally arrived, our order was incomplete, so we had to reorder. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was also disappointing—it was noticeably oversalted and overall not tasty. Had the food been good, the slow service might have been forgivable, but overall, it wasn't a good experience.

Was very tasty. Eating takes time. Is freshly prepared. The 3x spicy is not too spicy. You can still eat well.

The texture of the noodle is so tender and tough👍🏻 The taste is delicious but too rich for me since it’s oily. However, the cold cucumber is so good, you should eat it with the noodles.

Centrally located restaurant with a pleasant ambiance. The starter (samsa) was delicious, but unfortunately somewhat poorly and blandly presented. The main course was tasty, but honestly not a real highlight for the price. Unfortunately, we also had to wait a very long time for our food to be served. Otherwise, the service staff was attentive and friendly.

An okay restaurant. Don’t come if you are hungry. It will take around 3 hours until you get your food. Food is average. Prices super high. Update: increasing the stars from 1 to 2, because I went there again after a couple of years and food got much better. Maybe new cook? And the service was good. But I still cannot forgive you making us (8 people) wait for 3.5 hours on my husbands birthday.

We really enjoyed both the food and the ambiance at Taklamakan! The Uyghur dishes are delicious, especially the hand-pulled noodles and the lamb were a highlight. The spices and flavors are authentic and a little different from the usual Asian cuisine. Service could be a bit more attentive and faster, but overall, a definite recommendation for anyone seeking new culinary experiences!

We were here for Iftar (breaking the fast) this year. The service was great. We got our food straight away for Iftar and didn't have to wait long. I had No. 10 Läghmen from the menu - it was indescribably delicious. I will definitely come here again. Highly recommended.

Today the two of us went to the restaurant spontaneously and without a reservation. When we arrived we were greeted very nicely and were immediately given a nice seat. We really liked the ambience spread over two floors. The restaurant gave a very clean and tidy impression! We felt very comfortable here. Our service “Jan” was very nice and gave us great advice about what to eat. His recommendations were very well tailored to our preferences! We really enjoyed the food! It was seasoned, yes! But not too salty or anything like that. We really enjoyed dinner and will definitely come back! Thank you and see you soon!

Very good, I loved it. And then I raved about this noodle again and again and then the poppy seed sweet dish but unfortunately the last time I was there. The taste and consistency of the pasta and the can changed completely. I was already disappointed and hope it was only like that once. Dessert was no longer on the menu either.

I ordered fried udon noodles with dumplings. The noodles really tasted great, but unfortunately the dumplings weren't that great. The ambience is really great, you can't complain about it - very luxurious. Unfortunately the prices are not that cheap, but it is definitely a recommendation if you want to eat well.

The noodles are incredibly smooth and chewy with just enough seasoning. The eggplant dish is also exceptional, so I highly recommend trying it.

I don't recommend anyone to order anything here 👎 I ordered a dish a few weeks ago and wrote specifically that I wanted pasta instead of rice, then I called and a Mr. “Jan” answered the phone. He said that wasn't possible, that there was an extra charge for pasta and he said that he would let Wolt know that you could have pasta as a choice. Today I wanted to order something again and saw that there was still no selection of pasta, I called and Mr. “Jan” promised me that I should order and that this time I would get pasta at no extra charge. I asked him if it was safe because I would only order then. He said yes he will take care of it himself. I asked him if I could also have chopsticks and said that I would write both down. I trusted him, ordered, but didn't get pasta or chopsticks. When I called him I didn't like his attitude at all, I had the feeling that he didn't care and he didn't make up for it. I would have expected him to send someone over with the noodles, that was in the evening, I hadn't eaten anything yet and I waited about an hour for my food. You pay €20 for a dish and you don't get what you want, you don't even get chopsticks. So never again, they have definitely lost me as a customer!

Nice atmosphere at this new location. Taklamakan existed for a long time near the main train station as Munich's first Uyghur restaurant. The freshly made dishes could be seen directly in the open kitchen and the quality was beyond question. The prices at the Isartor have now been raised extremely, and at the same time the food seems good, but the restaurant no longer really counts as an insider tip. The price/performance ratio for some of the dishes on the menu seems very aloof. Service is friendly and quite attentive.

Food was good, but unfortunately overpriced. Luckily, there are alternatives in Munich in the same flavor that are at least as good or better, at a more reasonable price.

We were there as a group of friends and found the location and the interior very nice. The waiters were nice and attentive. The food generally tasted very good, I just wasn't entirely impressed with the potato salad. I recommend number 12!

Service is great, ambience is also good. But unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right. Others have already written it, unfortunately they are right. Very cheap ingredients are used and the meat is of low quality. Anyone who pays attention to good quality will taste it straight away. In addition, some of the food is very salty. Unfortunately, paying €26 for rice with meat + peppers and some sauce is a bit cheeky given this quality. I would therefore not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

At the beginning the table we reserved was not yet available. Although this is generally not a serious problem, our patience was increasingly put to the test after waiting around 20 minutes. After we were finally able to sit down, a waiter named Jan approached us, who initially appeared friendly and took our order. However, the drinks took 15 minutes to arrive, which was an unreasonable delay considering that the food did not follow on time either. The food was initially forgotten by Mr. Jan and not properly forwarded to the kitchen. When we asked, he apologized and assured us that the food would be delivered within 15 minutes. However, this time also turned out to be incorrect. After 90 minutes had passed and our patience was increasingly exhausted, we decided to leave the restaurant. We informed Mr. Jan of our intentions, whereupon he responded in a louder tone and made inappropriate comments in his choice of words. Despite the obvious dissatisfaction on our part, Mr. Jan demanded that we not only have to pay for the drinks but also for the food, even though these had not even been served at that point. After intensive discussions, he finally brought the ordered food, but it was served cold and in a condition that did not meet the expected standard. The dish had no culinary special features and the taste was reminiscent of ready-made products such as Barrilla pasta and beef broth from Knorr. Given the fact that we were charged a price of 20 euros for this, we consider this request to be unreasonable and unreasonable.

The atmosphere was very nice. Even though the restaurant was full, you could have a good conversation. The waiter was very friendly and gave us very good advice. Following his recommendation, we ordered the Quorup Läghmen and were not disappointed. I can recommend everyone to come by once.

We loved this place! The service was a 10 out of 10. From the moment we arrived, we received excellent attention. We absolutely loved the food—we ordered the dumplings and the dishes 11 and 14, and they were amazing! The portions are generous; I shared with my partner, and we were both very satisfied. On top of that, the restaurant has a great atmosphere.

Positives first, the service was friendly and the food came quite quickly. The dishes themselves, dumplings and roasted lamb were ok but the price was way too high. So far, far too high for this quality and quantity. Almost 25€ and you get a few dumplings without sauce etc. And the lamb dish for just under 35€ was, to be honest, cheeky. We won't come here again. There are much better Uyghurs in Munich.
