Lagman with beef very tasty. I ordered from the regular menu and saw too late that it was available as a lunch menu on Tuesdays. Was pleasantly surprised when I was only charged the lunch price. Gladly again!

Tohuk Laghman costs 22/23 EUR and the portion has become smaller than before and you can hardly find any vegetables anymore. There were no pieces of meat, just scrap/bone parts. The dish looked better 6-7 months ago. Doesn't skimp on quality, is too noticeable and disappointing.

Super tasty food, definitely recommended

It was a real pity, my wife and i were really curious about the Uigur kitchen would be. The experience was disastrous, we had booked a table for Friday night, in principle restaurant looked nice, also the dishes. The menu is a bit limited, basically rise and noodles, but we can accept that. We had to wait almost 1 hour to get the food on the table. In the meantime, i asked how much more should we wait, at the end it is just noodles, the waiter was very unprofessional and unpolite, i would have not expect this kind of answer and behavior. At the end dinner was a fiasco. My recommendation is the time to wait and the price is not worth, food is quite similar to any fast food asiatic restaurant

Very easy to reach and located in the immediate vicinity of the Isar Gate, the Taklamakan is very modern and well-kept. You can also sit outside, the inside area is two floors, the view is quite nice for this location in Munich. You should definitely try the hand-pulled noodles - fresh and without a lot of frills, simply a pleasure. We were there at lunchtime and the service looked after us in an attentive and friendly manner. Recommended 👍🍻

We discovered this restaurant by chance. Since I'm originally from Kazakhstan, I'm very familiar with the main dish, lagman. I haven't eaten it as tasty as it does here at home either. Everything very fresh, perfectly seasoned, served hot. Service and ambience are great. I will definitely come back the next time I visit Munich. Thank you very much!

Very authentic restaurant, I can only recommend the hand-pulled Lagman. A little more expensive, but quality. However, it would be advisable to train the employees a little more on the menu. Otherwise everything was great

Friendly attentive service. The food - especially the noodles - tastes very fresh and is well seasoned. Depending on your taste, you can eat mild or spicy.

Unfortunately rather disappointing. The handmade noodles were delicious and the meat was tender, but the sauce with vegetables consisted entirely of peppers and was very bland. It reminded me more of goulash and I think it had nothing to do with Chinese/Asian. The restaurant was busy - but there weren't enough staff and so no one came by even after ordering. Although that's the case almost everywhere right now... The table arrangement was pleasant and not too cramped and the restaurant was attractive.

One of the worst places to be in the city. Food is nothing to talk about. Service is EXTREMELY bad and really slow. Prices are definitely not worth. Add on top a crappy atmosphere and acoustics and you have a recipe for "greatness".

I recently had the worst dining experience of my life at this restaurant, where I was discriminated against and treated unfairly compared to white customers. When we entered, the waitress told us we needed to wait 20 minutes before she could take our order because their system was closed. However, a group of white people came in right after us, and the same waitress immediately took their order. Our group of four Korean ordered four dishes and four drinks, but only one dish and the drinks arrived after 45 minutes. After waiting another hour, we asked about the rest of our food. The waitress responded extremely rudely and arrogantly, admitting she had forgotten to place the order for the remaining dishes, without offering any apology. Throughout our time there, the waitress ignored our attempts to make eye contact to order drinks, yet she was always busy and kind around white customers. We paid for the one dish and the drinks we received and left ourselves since the waitress continued ignoring our request to order. In total, we spent almost 3 hours there and experienced blatant unfair treatment. This racist experience made us feel really bad and deeply disappointed. I wouldn't recommend going there if you're not white to avoid discrimination and huge disappointment, as everyone goes to a restaurant for a pleasant experience. The lack of basic customer service and courtesy was shocking and unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different place where all customers are treated with respect.

Very good food. What is marked as spicy here is also spicy. Very nice service. Outdoor seating. The inside is also very attractively decorated.

I haven't been there for several years because the service was always so slow (once, as a single guest, I had to wait 90 minutes for my entree!). But the food has always been very good in the past. Now I took advantage of a time when it was empty to finally eat Uyghur food again and was unfortunately disappointed in a different way: The service was good this time, but unfortunately the food no longer tasted authentic: both Uyghur salad and lagman were not spicy and it lacked the special Uyghur taste. Unfortunately, Lagman is no longer available with lamb and Da Pan Ji has also been removed from the menu. The food wasn't bad, but the lack of authenticity means I won't have to come back to risk catching the infamous Taklamakan service. It didn't matter that I paid more for the drink than what was listed on the menu.

I arrived when the restaurant just opened and no guests were inside. I asked for taking away 2 dishes, but still waited for almost 30 mins. As Chinese food standard, the food is just okay. I think it's not worth waiting for such a long time for the food, and it's way too expensive for this quality, even in Munich. I would only recommend this restaurant for people who want to talk for a long time and don't feel too hungry when entering the restaurant because the restaurant looks big and cosy. Then the price and quality fit.

Unfortunately not recommended. The service is practically non-existent, nobody comes by and other guests felt the same way. The location and view from the restaurant, especially from the first floor, is really great. The facility as well. In addition to the really terrible service, the food is definitely tasty but absolutely nothing special for these prices. There are really enough other good options in Munich where you can go out for dinner in the evening.

So very slow…. Three dish and we waited over 2 hours… not coming a agin, waste of my time.

Fantastic noodles - also with a meatless side dish

-The food was good but not exactly cheap (just under €19) for a pasta dish -Ambience nicely decorated -very long waiting times for food -Waiter was nice but unfortunately very bad (slow, repeatedly forgetting orders, not clearing away empty glasses, plates of the starter were there until the end)

So first the positive: The food tasted very good and the waiter was nice. However, the noodles were served ice cold. That doesn't work with supposedly freshly made pasta. Then they warmed up somehow. The soup we ordered wasn't available either, which can happen. But was informed 45 minutes after ordering.

Uyghur cuisine, authentic, discovery for the palate, interesting family history on the menu, I liked it, I liked it, would be happy to recommend it

The homemade pasta is delicious, but unfortunately some of the sauces are a bit tasteless and too greasy. There were still small bone fragments in the chicken dish. The service is friendly, but unfortunately very inattentive and the waiting times are very long. Unfortunately we don't come here anymore.

Anyway, I don’t believe that Xinjiang cuisine only contains these few pages of carbohydrates.

Pure failure. I ordered from the lunch menu on Friday. Läghmen noodles (chosen from 2 dishes) and Samsa starter. Läghmen noodles came lukewarm after 45 minutes. Samsa's starter was more than below average. Service was bored. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not recommended. Maybe the chef was on vacation?

The food here is like I know it from my grandmother and my mother with Uyghur roots. The style of the restaurant is pleasant and the workers were also friendly and nice.

The hand-pulled noodle has a perfect chewy consistency and is really delicious. The sauce can be even thicker :) Anyway worth a visit.

Very nice restaurant with super friendly service. The food could be served a little warmer. I love visiting Thai or Vietnamese restaurants, but now I tried Uyghur cuisine and found that it doesn't suit my taste.

Super delicious food! The pasta can also be ordered vegetarian and if you are a vegetarian you should definitely try the eggplant - the sauce is incredibly good! I would love to come back. Ah and the atmosphere inside is super nice and cozy.

The starters only came after half an hour and were now completely cold. After the complaint, they were simply warmed up briefly and served lukewarm again. The cutlery was sticky Probably not completely clean, The food took so long that we left after a total of over 1 hour without eating.

To date, I have never experienced a store where you are so far removed from the catering industry. I got the warm starter cold, after I pointed this out the same plate came lukewarm after 15 minutes. After waiting a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes, I said that I didn't want the pasta anymore, only then was the kitchen ready to make the pasta. All in all, I spent money on nothing and nothing. These dumplings that simply taste like nothing and come cold. Cutlery that is completely sticky. Don't ever do that to yourself again.

The service was really bad. Super slow and arrogant. My friend would like to ask for a spoon. Then the waiter just ignored us. Later we asked another waiter what's happened before? Then we got told that our german was rude ... well ... first of all we are sorry if our german was not polite. Second of all, you could have told us if you thought you were offended. Obviously you can tell that german is not our mother tongue ...

Uyghur cuisine is not very familiar in Japan, but it has the taste that Japanese people like and it is all delicious. Especially the handmade noodles are similar to Japanese udon.

The location is also very central, in the city center ⛔ The prices are a bit too high, the quality of the food isn't great either and it's not really authentically tailored to the Uyghur palate, it's more because the owner is a Turk and only knows something about Uyghur culture from Google. ⛔ Unfortunately the price range doesn't really match, so we wouldn't come again, but for those who have never been there I would recommend seeing it and making your own opinion.

Really nice restaurant centrally in Munich. Very pleasant atmosphere, lots of space between the tables. It was very busy on a weekday, but due to the facilities it wasn't noisy, it was easy to have a conversation. The food (Uighur) was really tasty, everything was freshly prepared and visually appealing. Even when it comes to drinks, nothing is left to be desired. There is still a bit of room for improvement when it comes to service, but I can really only recommend Taklamakan if you want to eat something really different.

I loved the food and the place. It was so much food that they prepared the rests for me to take home. I had it the next day and it was still delicious. It is the type of restaurant that once you find it, you create excuses to bring your friends over, one by one so that you can eat here more often!

We were there today around 18.45 and ordered Lagmans and a few salads. We ordered 2 regular and 1 vegetarian Lagman. They were so delicious but served roughly 45 mins later. Uygur salad was also delicious. Selin helped us there. She was so nice and friendly but she was almost alone upstairs, that is why she was running around all the time. We may go there again but we would try to order beforehand.

Wow!!!! Very tasty dishes and you can tell the noodles are homemade!!! Everything was fresh and tasted great, we were thrilled.

The food is excellent and the taste is a new discovery! It's very comfortable to sit in and the restaurant is stylishly and lovingly furnished. We will be back definitely!

The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the food is simply nothing special, no particularly outstanding taste, no special creations and, above all, very overpriced. You pay €24 for chicken breast with peppers and rice... It definitely wasn't bad or lacking, but in my opinion it's not worth visiting.

Our favourite restaurant in the city. The great taste every time we eat here. Without any exaggeration, we are addicted to the noddles ( qorup and taklamakan laghman). Just be ready to wait for a while until you are served. But it will worth it.

The food lacked the bold flavors we are used to in Uyghur cuisine and the service was really slow the day we ate there.

We ordered Manty to take away. The dough was soggy and torn, it happens when manty is not freshly cooked but warmed up. Totally disappointing at a price of around €24. These were not only the most expensive, but also the worst manty I have ever eaten.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting your restaurant and overall my experience was extremely pleasant. The pasta I ordered was prepared to a high standard, and the service was attentive and friendly. The ambience in your restaurant is truly remarkable and definitely contributed to my well-being. However, I have to note that my starter was a bit too traditional German and I missed the Asian spice I was expecting. A slightly more pronounced Asian note would certainly have enhanced the dish and suited my taste better. Overall, I am satisfied with my visit and confidently give it four stars. Waited a very long time. 1.5 hours a meal. After the third drink we finally got food but it was cold. The manager or boss was arrogant and unfriendly. Never again. Don't recommend it to anyone either.

I recommend making a reservation for a table for two on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. It was my first visit to Taklamakan. Unfortunately, the first impression was not so positive. Since we had reserved, we waited at the entrance to be seated. This turned out to be a slightly annoyed waitress who simply pointed to a table on the first floor and said that we could sit at "that one". I wouldn't have wanted a reasonable placement for a restaurant of this reputation. After placing ourselves, we more or less had to claim the cards. After 18 minutes of studying the menu, we were finally asked if we would like something to drink. So we ordered drinks, starters (to share) and the main courses together. The service itself was very friendly and helpful. The starter (10 dumplings) were gelled correctly after about 8 minutes. We requested two plates because we wanted to share the starter. The dumplings were pleasantly seasoned, so you could still clearly enjoy the taste of the dough and the beef. The main course was appropriately brought to the table after about another 15 minutes. The waitress also asked whether we were satisfied with the starter. The main courses (noodles with beef) were also pleasantly seasoned, although the waiter offered a chili paste for additional seasoning. Together with the starter, the meal was very filling, although I would consider the portion size of the main course to be too small for the price. I will definitely get more impressions when I visit Taklamakan again.

The starters (dumplings and cucumber salad) didn't blow us away and were not very seasoned. We've had much better food there. The main courses were basically very tasty, but some were very carelessly prepared, especially the "Kazan Kawab" (small bowl of rice and a bowl of fried lamb, no vegetables or anything similar, for 30€). In my opinion the price-performance ratio is not right. We probably won't come back again.

I ordered a chicken on the bone dish and one hand pulled noodles with beef. The chicken dish was not good at all, the sauce was very soy-ish and revolting. But the beef noodles were really great. top notch

We were a bit skeptical about the very mixed reviews, but we definitely wanted to try it. Apparently we had a good evening, the young lady from the service was very busy, but she tried very hard, there was nothing to complain about. The noodles: to your knees, I never knew anything like that! Ambience very nice, very homely furnished. a direct hit!

The chicken in the 大盘鸡 was a bit dry and it could have been a bit spicier overall. 丁丁炒面 was nothing special. The dishes were overpriced.

Unsere Reservierung für 4 Per kam leider abhanden, trotzdem bemühte man sich sofort Ersatz zu schaffen, mit kurzer Wartezeit an der Bar, hatten wir unseren Tisch. Unser Essen war hervorragend! Und ein besonderes Lob an "Jan" der uns durch den Abend begleitete. Wir waren begeistert und kommen wieder!

Sehr ansprechendes Ambiente. Aber viel entscheidender sind die exzellenten Speisen. Ich hatte die Nudeln. Das waren die besten, die ich gegessen habe. Auch konnte ich am Tisch andere Speisen probieren. Diese waren auch sehr gut. Die Karte ist schön übersichtlich und logisch aufgebaut. Der Service ist besonders gut und freundlich. Sehr leckeres Essen obwohl die meisten Gerichte scharf sind. Ich habe nach einem Gericht nachgefragt ob es möglich wäre nicht scharf zu machen, es war natürlich möglich aber letztendlich habe ich es trotzdem scharf bekommen. Unsere Bedienung hat es locker genommen. Schöne Tische und gemütliche Ambiente, nur die Baustelle vor der Eingang ist nicht so toll, aber es ist nicht deren Schuld.

Tolle Küche, viele Gerichte mit selbstgezogenen Nudeln; alles ist sehr lecker. Authentische Uigurische Küche. Sehr freundlicher Service und angenehmes Ambiente.

Wir sind heute das erste Mal ins Takalamakan gekommen. Hier haben wir die Nudeln sowie Hähnchen und Rindfleisch probiert. Mein Favorit sind die Nudeln. Sehr lecker, geschmacklich auf den passenden Gaumen gebracht, so dass wir absolute Fans geworden sind. Der Reis ist nichts besonderes, dennoch passt er gut zum pikanten Hähnchen. Wir werden sicherlich nochmals kommen.

This place offers authentic Uyghur cuisine; its cumin lamb (Kanzan Kawab) and kesme Lagman (din-din) are exceptionally delicious. Our all-time favorites also include Tohu Kordak Chicken (大盘鸡), Tohugöxi Korimisi (宫保鸡丁), and Pidigän korimisi (红烧茄子) — these spicy, oily, and super appetizing dishes guarantee satisfaction. However, prices seem a bit high for everyday Uyghur cooking. The lunch menu is more affordable, but the meat quality may not match dinner standards; for instance, my lamb from the lunch menu was chewy, though the noodles were still good. Sometimes, the service lacks consistency; staff can be a bit moody, making you feel unwelcome or as if you haven't ordered enough. Despite these drawbacks, it's still worth going from time to time to treat yourself.
