Today's lunch special: Strips of roast beef with Spätzle and a lovely festive soup to start. Wow, very good! 👍 Please keep it up!

After a 10-minute wait in the dining room for our table despite our reservation, and with the waiter prioritizing pouring drinks even though tables were free and we were repeatedly assured he would be right there, we left the restaurant. If you're hosting a theatrical performance, perhaps you should allocate more staff accordingly and not skimp on them. It's a shame, but that was our first and last time.

Thank you for taking over the restaurant and continuing to run it in such a down-to-earth way!

New owner, new beginnings. I was very pleased with my first visit. The sauerbraten was fantastic, and the atmosphere in the restaurant has always been great. I hope that Prinzregent Garten will become the established institution it once was. Since my first visit, I've been very optimistic. Keep up the good work, and I and the people of Pasing will be back again soon!

Finally reopened in Bavarian-Franconian style, very good food, authentic Bavarian-Franconian cuisine with good value for money, very good desserts and cakes

Since the new owners took over, this place is a case for Frank Rosin. We waited about 40 minutes for a large salad with tasteless turkey strips, which didn't come with any bread (and was very dry and stale), a liver dumpling soup whose dumpling tasted faintly of sawdust, and a carp that was also tasteless. As compensation, we were offered an espresso or a schnapps. We declined. The beer is good, but you can't really go wrong with that. We won't be back.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. My food was cold and the service was overwhelmed despite the restaurant being empty. A 30-minute wait for a shandy is a record.

I can't comment on the food. We arrived on Sunday at 2:30 pm, so not during peak hours. We stood there for two minutes. Although there were at least six people behind the bar, no one greeted us. I then went over and asked for a table. Without saying hello, a table was shown to us with a nod. Right in front of the bar. We sat there for ten minutes. No server greeted us or brought a menu. Nothing. Then we left. The atmosphere behind the bar was also very unfriendly. P.S. I'm also self-employed and offer debit card payments. Since then, I understand how it works. If a machine is truly broken, it's replaced within 24 hours. Otherwise, contactless payment is available via the app. It's unprofessional not to offer card payments. According to reviews, this has been the case for weeks. Perhaps the owner will read the review and reconsider their service offerings. This is the third tenant in 5 years, so it's not easy to keep guests there, despite the beautiful location.

We were there on November 16th after the reopening, and it was immediately busy. The service was excellent, and the schnitzel, roast pork, and roast beef were all very good – we'll gladly come back. The waiter was very attentive, and everything was perfect. Currently, they only accept cash, but this is clearly indicated on a sign at the entrance. Highly recommended (again :-))!

We finally went there again today after the reopening. I had €70 in cash with me and didn't see the sign saying "no card payments." Before ordering, we had a nice chat and found a solution that worked for both of us so we could still have a proper meal without having to go to the bank. It seems no one questions the fact that card payments are still held up by bureaucracy. It's all about complaining instead of giving the owner and his family a chance. Perhaps a friendly approach could lead to a solution, but unfortunately, that's where most people fall short. We had a quarter of duck, veal schnitzel, Wiener schnitzel, etc., just to try a few things. The duck was incredibly tender, and the dumplings and sauce were fantastic. All three schnitzels were perfect; the fried potatoes could have been improved with some bacon or something similar. But that's a matter of taste! There were four of us today, and we're going back tomorrow with eight because it was so delicious. We were a party of four today and will be going back tomorrow with eight people because it was so delicious. ... It's simply difficult these days to get off to a perfect start with all the bureaucratic hurdles and cost coverage. Staffing, etc., should be obvious to everyone… Before you immediately start complaining online again, maybe have a friendly chat with the owner. If it's the same next time, you can also leave a review if it wasn't so great. Everyone carries their own burden through life, some heavier, some lighter. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

The supposedly Franconian cuisine featured in the media piqued our interest. We went for a test meal this evening. First, the ambiance: cold and impersonal. Lighting like in a train station pub. A real shame, because the old, actually quite nice decor deserved better. As for the food: the Franconian carp in beer batter had been dead for a while, as it was completely flat on the plate. This was to be expected, though, since carp isn't a common dish here. The carp itself tasted fine. The breading, however, was a disaster. Two to three times as thick as that of a breaded schnitzel. Naturally, the inside was soggy. So we steamed the carp. The potato salad was hard, and the potatoes weren't cooked! The second dish was the Prinzregent Burger. Using a pretzel as a bun was a good idea. The beef strips inside were very tough. The overall flavor was just so-so. Conclusion: The food is not recommended. The service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. We probably won't be coming back. It was no fun, neither in terms of the food nor the atmosphere.

The new owner brings new energy to the inn, excellent service and superb food. Wishing you much success!

Nice inn, lots of regulars, good food, will definitely come again. Reservations recommended, especially during peak hours and weekends.

The new owners are really friendly, and the Hawaiian toast was delicious. I'm looking forward to next time.

Bavarian economy under new management

We went there for lunch on November 2nd, 2025, after the restaurant reopened. After ordering, we had to wait about 40 minutes for our appetizer. We had ordered smoked salmon with potato pancakes, baguette, and spread. The potato pancakes were poorly cooked and soggy. They were topped with slices of inferior salmon, riddled with gray bits, and the whole thing was smothered with copious amounts of semi-liquid creamed horseradish. It was all more or less inedible. After another 30 minutes, the main courses finally arrived. The beef roulade with potato dumplings was passable, but the red cabbage was completely overcooked. The potato salad served with the beer-battered carp was utterly inedible, consisting of only 50/50 mayonnaise and potatoes, and completely unseasoned. The same was true for the mixed salad, which was supposed to have bacon dressing. Our complaints fell on deaf ears. The staff and kitchen staff seemed visibly overwhelmed. These descriptions reflect our personal impressions from our stay. From our perspective, we can only recommend this place with significant reservations.

We went there two weeks after reopening, having reserved a table by email. Before we could even go inside, a sign informed us that card payments were unfortunately not accepted… couldn't they have told us that beforehand? Annoying! The food was okay, but nothing more. The roast pork only deserves two stars. The service was stressed. My husband then had to get cash in the pouring rain while I waited in the restaurant with my children. Unfortunately, we weren't even asked if we wanted anything else to drink. There wasn't even a quick "thank you" for the extra effort. All in all, a very bitter aftertaste. We found the atmosphere dreary.

Franconian-Bavarian cuisine... very good and tasty!

We had the boiled beef and the celery schnitzel today. Really large portions, each with a side salad. It was absolutely delicious. Thanks to the new management of Prinzi, you can finally eat really well again… Keep it up… We'll definitely be back often. Best regards

On the evening of November 4th, 2025, I ate a Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and gravy. Visually, it was okay, but the taste was disappointing. The schnitzel was a bit fatty, probably kept warm briefly in the oven, and tasted slightly burnt afterward, like burnt fat. The fried potatoes were soggy and bland; they should perhaps have some sautéed onions and spices. There was only a little parsley in them, making them taste bland and not recommended. The gravy was unfortunately very thin and lacked flavor. The restaurant has only been open for two weeks; perhaps the food will improve in the coming weeks!

Great Bavarian food, very friendly service. We'll be back.

Cellars small nice. Order over food, wait almost 2 hours I'm not thrilled

If you don't eat meat, you'll definitely not get your money's worth here. A salad with goat cheese was the only dish without meat or fish. That was really disappointing for my hungry stomach. The Kaiserschmarrn, however, was very good and saves a few points.

Very nice and courteous staff. So far I have been very satisfied with every meal. In summer you can sit in the beer garden with many chestnut trees.

We spontaneously visited this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday evening and found a nice place in the shady beer garden. Fast, attentive and friendly service, a good selection of food and drinks and an acceptable price-performance ratio gave us a pleasant stay. We liked the food very much and was freshly prepared. So, a clear recommendation for this restaurant.

A restaurant with a Biergarten. We were in the restaurant and there are tables for sitting outside, it was very nice. The service was nice and the food is ok. They served a few Croatian food and also some German dishes. A nice place for dining outside on a summer evening.

The atmosphere is very cozy, but unfortunately the food leaves a lot to be desired.

Recently visited the Prinzregent Garden. A pretty decent pub with great simple dishes at a really fair price. There is nothing to complain about in terms of quality, on the contrary. There is a pleasant beer garden. It's kept relatively simple, but that doesn't mean to sound negative at all. We had a pleasant time there. The clientele was just as normal, “like you and me”. The catering could perhaps be given a little more attention, but it was still okay. The friendly staff provides reliable service otherwise. Simple dishes like a cordon bleu are quite tasty here, as is the pike perch, that speaks for itself. Even the simple side salad was dressed with a delicious dressing. We enjoyed it and were very satisfied. Inside it is clean and nice - and simply furnished. The locations were also fine. It doesn't always have to be elaborate. “Invitingly simple” is the motto and that can be found here in the Prinzregent Garden. Whether it's just a half or a simple schnitzel. Here you will find what you are looking for! Fish - delicious. Salad too… “Normal prices” can also be found here. Another point that should be mentioned. This is known differently in many places in the region... All in all, I can say clearly for all the criteria mentioned - we would be happy to come back and try the other dishes. A really nice beer garden. We have both eaten and ordered on site. The food was delicious both times!

Unfortunately I have to correct my rating downwards: Food in the beer garden has deteriorated extremely - given the increased prices. The sausage salad alone for €11 was no longer like a children's portion! The pretzel for €2 is rather scandalous - freezer burn and no salt - see picture! A pity... Food good - rest, well... Actually a great beer garden - unfortunately the service is not an experience. So much could have been done with the restaurant and beer garden - especially since it was empty for some time.

A traditional Bavarian inn with a beer garden. We were there for a company event with around 75 people. There was a 3 course menu which was fine. The service was attentive and friendly.

We didn't remember him that well. Possibly a change of tenant? The beer garden was clean and well maintained. No sticky tables. There are benches with backrests and there are flowers on the tables. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. There are even Laterndl and Goasn mass. The pretzels were fresh and large. The atmosphere is simply great and cozy. No shouting, just babbling. Now all that's missing is good spareribs.

Food OK! Service was bad - we sat with a drink in 30 degrees and the waiter kept walking past us without asking if we would like anything else! It's a shame if this ruins your birthday! Never again! Fried potatoes were cheesey and sometimes mushy.

We love going to this beer garden in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, we can't go there with our grandchildren at the moment because the play equipment, which the children of course enjoy using, is absolutely life-threatening

Actually a really nice, cozy city beer garden with a long tradition and history. If it weren't for the absolutely horrible hospitality. The voucher from the Munich Beer Garden Guide was only reluctantly accepted, the spare ribs ordered were an absolute disgrace, for €12 you get a portion that wouldn't even feed a child. A complaint was succinctly dismissed by the patron (innkeeper) as a normal portion and even viewed as a personal insult. When we asked, we were offered the grill plate from the neighboring table for €120. No, we weren't at a posh Italian restaurant but in a normal Munich beer garden! A pity…. But unfortunately not recommended!

A beautiful beer garden with chestnut trees, well located for the Pasing train station. We only had something to drink, so I can't comment on the food. Prices were within the current range (half beer 4.5 and water 4 euros) The staff was friendly and spoke to the visitors more than just "what would you like?" Was pleasant! It was good but not too busy, about half the seats were taken. There is also a small playground with a swing.

Unfortunately, very bad organization, food quality as well, if it had a lower rating, it would be. The picture shows a patty, which was fried on the outside and inside as seen in the picture.

On Wednesday we were in the garden with our dog and had something to drink. The waiter clearly informed us that dogs were not welcome here because a waiter was allegedly bitten. Despite the tip, there was no thank you and the service was otherwise not friendly. We definitely won't be going to the Prinzregent Gardens again.

We often go to Munich and whenever we can arrange it we go out to eat at the Prinz Regent. We are always welcomed very personally and the food is excellent.

Hello, today was the last time I was with you. Redfish with potato salad was on the menu. I ordered that. The conclusion for this, I gave it back. A portion of redfish weighing approx. 120 grams covered in rock-hard breading. Potato salad ice cold from the bucket. Tasteless! crowned by the huge Lollo Rosso leaf with a jar of ready-made renoulade from the tube on it. The fish itself was actually very well cooked. If it hadn't been too salty. Why do you have to serve a potato salad with this poor quality out of a bucket in a "Bavarian" economy? Plus from cold storage? You are far away from Bavarian culture. Better cook Jugo cuisine if you can do it better. Please leave the cooking to the professionals. For me, €6.50 canteen quality and never €16.50 with your quality! I can only laugh about it.

This is our first time here since we moved to Blumenau! The beer garden is really nice, rustic and cozy, relatively small but not as crowded as some others in Berg am Laim, for example ;-) , price performance is also OK, and since we have the beer garden guide, there was a free beer, keg anyway came out of the fridge, and beer was poured perfectly, the Oktoberfest can take a leaf out of it ;-)

Never again ! Not recommended, food and service not good and way too late, we waited forever. Since Wirtshauser is much better, we went there afterwards and got food straight away and the service was great. :)

When you order a portion of asparagus for quite a bit of money and the heads of at least a third of the asparagus spears are simply cut off, you'll be amazed!! It just doesn't work at all. We definitely won't be coming back here again. The answer that you should have complained to service makes no sense at all. As if the asparagus had accidentally landed on the plate without its head. The restaurant obviously did this on purpose. Presenting it as if the fault lay with the customer who simply had to say something is very questionable and certainly not "charismatic", as the restaurant's commentator describes himself.

Unfortunately not what I expected. Unfortunately, the roast pork wasn't that tasty, the sauce was very watery and the small piece of crust you see was all the crust that was served. The beer garden is probably very pleasant in summer.

In the Prinzregent Garden there is good food, a great ambience and a very nice staff! The cevapcici are welcome to be made by yourself and the roast pork like classic from the shoulder! 😉

I was in the inn for a concert by an old Munich rock band. Sitting at long tables, you had a very limited menu, which was also unfortunately very meat-heavy. The menu is significantly varied for normal visitors, the ambience is typical of an old Munich tavern, it was winter, there is a large beer garden outside, certainly very nice and rustic in the summer

There were four of us there (family with grandpa). Time between Christmas and New Year. The service and bar were very nice to us. The landlord also made a friendly impression. We probably didn't have a good day when it came to the kitchen. 1) Despite the restaurant being half full at 6 p.m., we waited over an hour for food. 2) A piece of meat from the grill plate smelled very, very, very rotten (it can happen sometimes, we had received bad products from the wholesaler several times, we didn't complain and just left the piece lying there). Rest of the meal was ok. 3) The total price was very high in the end because we bridged the long waiting time with additional drinks. It's basically the chain reaction from 1) when you stare at the wall for an hour ;-) We will go back in the next few months and give the Prinzi another chance. If we do that, I'll update the review.

Traditionelle bayerische Gastlichkeit.

Mein Geburtstagsessen hier genossen und war schwer beeindruckt von der Größe der Portionen und der Qualität. Komme bestimmt wieder, auch wenn es für mich nicht gerade um die Ecke ist. Aber es ist echt einen Besuch wert. Einzig die Parkmöglichkeiten werfen leichte Schatten auf einen Besuch aber spätestens beim 2. Mal weiss man wie und wo es funktioniert.

Wir waren im SB-Biergarten. Sehr sauber. Schöne Tische und Biertischgarnituren. Ambiente ist schön. Wie ich mir nen bayerischen Biergarten vorstelle. Wir hatten nur Getränke. Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung. Wir waren heute (26.12.23) auch mal im Restaurant selber. Es gab nur eine abgespeckte Weihnachtskarte. Die Auswahl war leider sehr übersichtlich. Das Essen war bei allen gut. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis bei meinem veganem Burger war eher unterdurchschnittlich. Die Kellnerin war freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr flott unterwegs.

Sehr zufrieden ☺️Bedienung brachte sogar Wasser für meinen Hund 🐕 Essen war lecker 😋

Wirklich gute bayrische Küche, sehr netter Service und typisch bayrisches Ambiente. Aktuell wurde renoviert und neu eröffnet. Wir haben grundsätzlich hohe Ansprüche an das Essen und hier wurden unsere Ansprüche voll erfüllt. Wir können diverse Rezensionen gar nicht nachvollziehen zumal hier kein Sterne Restaurant ausgewiesen wird. Wer pikante bayrische Küche sucht ist hier absolut richtig. Ich empfehle Rindergulasch mit Kartoffelknödel. Kleiner Tipp: Zum Monatsende ist es in der Gastro immer etwas ruihger.

Netter kleiner Biergarten, freundliches Personal. Essen Geschmäcker sind verschieden. Wurstsalat kommt aus der Schublade einfach auf den Teller lieblos angerichtet. Cevapcici und Fleischpflanzerl sind nicht selbst gemacht und schmecken nicht wirklich. Obazda ist mega mit einer frischen Breze. Pommes sind auch wirklich gut und reichlich Verzehr im Selbstbedienungs Bereich.

Leider, kann ich nicht empfehlen.

Freundliches und authentisches Personal. Super Essen und Gerichte für Jedermann(Frau). Schön gelegener Biergarten und neu renoviertes Wirtshaus. Kommen gerne wieder.
