Very remote! It's hard to imagine finding a restaurant offering such first-class cuisine on the edge of a rural residential area! Simple, honest, and high-quality. You don't need a knife for the sauerbraten, the appetizers are delicate, and all the other dishes are highly recommended! The service staff is very courteous and attentive! Absolutely recommended!!!

So, now that my vacation is over, I'm finally taking some time to write something: Having spent my entire childhood in Unterwössen, growing up with the old post office and the brewery, I was more than happy to discover Foglwuid with a colleague in the restaurant business in April. It quickly became clear that this would be THE "local pub" for our summer vacation. After 6 days there in April and 10 days in June, during which I felt like I spent 5 and 8 days respectively at Foglwuid, here's the review: The restaurant scene in Wössen is quite limited these days, with some establishments having inconsistent opening hours, and the variety is nowhere near what Wössen was like in the 90s. At Foglwuid, we always had a good meal in April, and I also had a great time in the summer – thanks in part to the changing menu with weekly specials, burger menus, etc. – and the place was always open as advertised. This needs to be mentioned here, as it unfortunately isn't the case for all local restaurants. The menu was both seasonal and regional in both months and also offered some bistro basics (burgers, tarte flambée, etc.). As a big beer fan, I was all the more pleased with the relatively extensive beer menu, which—apart from the German Purity Law—also offered some local specialties for craft beer enthusiasts. This was another nice feature that I hadn't found anywhere else in the region. The openness to new things is also reflected in the drinks and food menus. In addition to the above, the owner's wife and family bake fresh cakes daily—I must confess I didn't try any, although everything looked incredibly tempting, even though, with my calorie intake in mind, I decided to stick to the beer. . ; ... I had the pleasure of experiencing the place during both the off-season and the beginning of the peak season – regardless of how busy it was, the Foglwuid team handled even the biggest crowds with ease and professionalism, without compromising on service quality. All in all, thank you again for the wonderful time – it's not often that a tourist feels so at home so quickly. Thanks to Schorsch, Lars, and the team for the great time. I'm sure we'll be back!

We hiked to this hut on Thursday, September 11th. Unfortunately, the hut was closed. Isn't it possible to post information online or down at the parking lot these days? It's not an easy walk of a few minutes to the top. We then continued on to the Enzian Hut. A guest sitting upstairs eating food he had brought with him told us that the hut had been closed for a very long time.
