Whenever i ate sushi i always tried it without soyasauce first, just to see it it insists upon itself lol, more times than not it it tasted absolutely horrible and i had to spit out short after, this is however the first time, ever since i started eating sushi, that i finished an entire dish with Zero soya sace, ginger or wasabi, its made so perfectly, served so nice and warm, its definitely my new favorite and beats the old king ( sorry oppenheimer sushibar )

Delicious ramen! I got tonkotsu ramen with pork and egg for takeaway, it was amazing: the noodles, the soup, the toppings, everything. A bit on the pricier side, my order cost €17.3 They separate noodles, broth and toppings for takeaway orders which is very convenient. I would still opt for dine in option if possible, as its not very crowded (I went at 2pm) and the packaging does leak

Asked for a recommendation with a budget of 60€. Got a bill for 150€. 😡 -- In reply to the response below: We were indeed satisfied with everything, until we saw the bill. The order of events was as follows: 1. We first asked for recommendations. 2. After we got the recommendations, we double checked with the waiter that our budget was 30€ per person, for 2 persons. We trusted that whatever was being recommended was somewhat within that range. We didn't double check the prices in the menu. (After receiving the starter dish (which indeed looked quite fancy and was delicious), I even jokingly asked the waiter if that was all of our budget gone. He didn't respond to that concretely.) 3. When we paid at the cashier, we were presented with a ~150€ bill, out of which the one starter dish (6 pieces of Sashimi) was 60€ alone. It's hard to believe that this is based on a misunderstanding. And even if it was, I would have expected from the cashier that he would try to mitigate the situation after we pointed that out. Anyhow, maybe we should have insisted on the spot to talk with the waiter again to clarify things. It sure did leave a bitter taste after an otherwise pleasant experience and I think the situation should have been handled differently by the cashier.

Worst place in the world for sushi

A very cosy little sushi restaurant situated underground in the U-bahn station. The service was good. The food was absolutely good, better than the average sushi joint - but I don’t think the price is justified.

Everything was incredibly delicious

Tuna nigiri was good, rest of the food was normal/ok, nothing spectacular. What did blow my mind was the price. Insanely expensive and not worth it for the portion size and the location. I ordered a menu with 8 small pieces and 3 tuna nigiris with a 0,5l still water and paid 34 euros + the commission. There’s a 5% charge if you want to use a foreign credit card, FYI. Definitely not worth it and will never go back.

Small, delicious sushi, ramen, and dessert deli, hidden underground. The prices are a bit on the higher side, which I think is justified by the quality and presentation. When you sit at the counter, you can watch the artists at work creating the delicious sushi. The ramen was super tasty and beautifully fresh. You definitely won't leave hungry after dessert.

Tucked away in the subway station is the exquisite Takahumi Sushi restaurant. We were there with a stroller, and they made extra room for us. The service is very friendly and attentive. You can tell the chefs are passionate about their work. The food is outstanding and worth every penny. You can also find off-the-shelf sushi variations here. If you want to treat yourself, eat here. Unfortunately, Frankfurt is so far from Kiel, otherwise we would be here more often.

The sushi was delicious, and the way it was served was also very nice. Unfortunately, it's a bit cramped there. And the fruit flies were really annoying. The prices are also quite high. But it's Frankfurt, after all.

The food is so expensive and not very tasty. It is not worth the price. I hope that they can pay attention to food hygiene next time. I found a small fly on the salmon, but the store immediately replaced it for me.

I understand the comments below! The sushi is very good. But although the place is small the service was not able to keep up. We where unlucky the place was full so service after 1 round of drinks was to slow. With these prices I don't wave anymore to the service I expect better! So waited 45 minutes and than walked out after paying the bill.

We visited this spot for ramen, but were pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of sushi on the menu as well. The café is uniquely located right inside the metro station, yet the atmosphere is surprisingly warm and cozy. You can sit at the counter and watch the chefs prepare sushi right in front of you — a nice touch! We went on a Monday, and unfortunately, only one type of noodle was available out of the usual three options for ramen. The waitress mentioned a few items were out of stock, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the ramen we had was delicious, and overall, it was a nice experience.

I didn't order anything there. The menu is unclear. The prices are above average. PS: I thank the owner for the sarcastic answer - if the menu was as eloquent, perhaps I would have ordered. Apparently, a clear menu is also an art, accessible to not everyone. The owner's answer itself speaks about his approach to customers.

A lovely little restaurant, located underground near the Zeil shopping center, with very friendly staff. I highly recommend the yakitori skewers! (They melt in your mouth, although it's not on the menu.) The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented. In the tuna combo platter, however, I would have preferred a bit less of the California rolls with siracha. The Kirin Ichiban draft beer was also very good. My companion also enjoyed the coconut dumplings for dessert.

What a wonderful restaurant! At first, you think, "Huh, in the middle of a metro station?" But it's totally worth it and even has something unique. We've eaten a lot of sushi, but this was the best we've ever had. If we ever go to Frankfurt again, we'll definitely be back. And everything is freshly prepared right before your eyes. Fantastic!

I had the salmon B2 special roll - it was salty. Salmon nigiri sushi was okay. It was packed with many guests and the review was 4.8 on Google so I had higher expectations, as someone from New York City and been to Japan.

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was very friendly. The location is downstairs in the Allianz Passage, so it's not a great location. But it's all about the food, and it was excellent. You can tell the quality from the fish.

5 stars for the food!! The service is extremely slow and unfriendly. Hopefully, the lady is the owner or related to the owner... otherwise, I can't imagine how she's allowed to do her job. We were practically alone there, and it took her forever to bring our food to our table. The sushi masters were quick, but that's no use if the wait staff is "asleep."

We came because of the review, however it was underwhelming for us. First of all the server cant speak english, so got our orders wrong. secondly, the menu doesnt show the simple sushis like what i wanted to order. perhaps the menu has changed? We lived in japan for many years and this is definitely not real japanese sushi. I ordered one chirashi sushi, and it came as 2!! one chirashi is €30. My son ordered the vegetarian one €28. Husband ordered a mix sushi € 28. Not really cheap and the bill comes up to €125. The green tea is not green tea, it is chinese tea! (oolong maybe) And lately germany has this tip section when you pay. Will i come again ? Not really. Across is a taiwanese dessert shop with same name.

Absolutely blown away!! The sashimi was super fresh and had a great variety — totally satisfying! Their bread tastes just like the ones back home in Taiwan — so good! Highly recommend the sausage bun and the Taiwanese pineapple bun!!!

Highly recommended if you like sushi. Yes, sushi is on the expensive side, but this place is definitely worth the money. So we've saved this place and will be happy to come back.

What a delicious little hidden gem! I tried the Ramen and it was simply amazing! The atmosphere is really nice and even though the place is small, at no time did I feel rushed to finish my food and go. If looking for some delicious food, definitely give it a go!

I went because of the good reviews. I actually had the most delicious Shoryu Ramen there (and I've had quite a few ramen in Germany). Unfortunately, I can't comment on the other dishes. But I'll be back for a second visit soon 😊

I went with a friend and ordered chirashizushi and nigiri. They were fresh, delicious, and really pretty because of the flower decorations😊 Especially the doro was oily and melted like beef steak! The ice cream seemed to be squeezed by a machine from a tub, and it was sweet and sour, which was good for the palate~ There weren't many seats, but they moved to a larger space next door. But the seats were cramped and uncomfortable. The quality of the sushi was 👍🏻

Found this place by chance and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. The sushi is good but the ramen was a little overcooked. Service can be better especially the chefs at the sushi counter, can be more welcoming to non-german speaking tourists.

We read good things about the restaurant and the menu was also very appealing. Unfortunately, it is also very small and hidden underground. The navigation didn't help much, so we had to ask around. When we got there, despite our high expectations, we were even further surprised. Well, it's expensive. The cake stand cost €180. There are only the best and exclusive goods. Anyone who is not willing to pay that; There is also a supermarket nearby. ;-)

At five-star hotels or high-end restaurants in the city, you often have to pay a high price for the ‘pleasure of sight’ and the ‘place to be seen’. Food quality is often just a secondary factor. Takahumi Sushi is completely different from those places. We love sushi and ramen, and Takahumi is definitely at the top of our list! Exceptional quality, stylish design and creative construction – all elements come together perfectly. Each dish is like a work of art that can be enjoyed not only with the taste but also with the eyes. Above all, the biggest attraction is being able to see the chefs preparing the food. You can feel the sincerity and delicacy, and it makes you feel like you are in Japan. Just as many of Japan's great restaurants are hidden in inconspicuous alleys or underground, Takahumi Sushi is not located on the busy streets, but inside S-Bahn stations. But those who visit this hidden gem will be rewarded more than worth it. I'm already looking forward to seeing a new dessert cafe, Takahumi Pastry & Tea, opening next door. I can't wait for the sweet pleasures presented in Takahumi's unique style!

In any case, visually very unusual sushi variations. Simply well done. It doesn't actually get any better. The taste was very high quality, but for me personally the rice should have been a little bit softer and the avo was just a little bit too hard. The service was excellent. I found the atmosphere difficult. I couldn't find myself through the big window in the underground. The toilets were also not clean and unkempt. A must for a restaurant like this. The price was high for the look, but too expensive for the taste. I've had better sushi many times. I would choose another restaurant in the future.

The best food you'll ever have in an underground station! Absolutely incredible sushi, well worth the price, the actual ingredients had taste and flavour (unlike the average sushi places). We tried one with scallop on top and it was just incredible!!

A bit hidden and inconspicuous from the outside, but it tastes great! The sashimi melts in your mouth, everything is super fresh. Had the D4 Deluxe Bowl, highly recommended.

However, you can if you don't have budget problems. I went today, March 29th, 2025, because of the good reviews and once again I had to realize that the positive Google reviews in Frankfurt am Main have unfortunately become as inflationary as the Reichsmark in the Weimar Republic. Positive points: -The store's marketing is sensationally good. You get a first impression of quality and the presentation of the food is also top notch. -The service is very quick, polite and friendly. -Chicken karaage was delicious/recommended. -It's fun to watch the sushi masters prepare the food at the counter. Neutral: -The sushi is "good" with benevolence. That would still be completely OK, but the price charged for it suggests “very good” to “excellent”. However, that is not the case. I clearly see room for improvement in the quality of the raw materials. -With the octopus balls, the octopus was almost undetectable. -Both chairs at the counter were dirty with leftover food when we arrived and needed to be cleaned first. -The ramen was also "good" but for 19 euros it is in the "very good" range, which wasn't the case here either. In summary, I personally will not come again because I have to work too hard for my money and consider the price-performance ratio to be inadequate. I still urge the reader to try Takahumi Sushi to gain experience and form your own opinion. I understand the situation of restaurateurs, especially with a government that is hostile to business, but as a consumer I have to represent my interests and look for the maximum value for my money.

We go here regularly for lunch and always get a seat, the best sushi in town and incredibly good jasmine tea. Please keep it up, but please put the tip cat back on the checkout😉
