The food was anything but tasty. The chicken in the chicken bowl was totally mushy and super greasy, which actually had nothing to do with chicken. Not even the rice was tasty and that should be the easiest thing to eat in an Asian restaurant. Unfortunately very disappointing…

Down in the underground station, the best Sashimi we’ve found in Frankfurt! Not too thick (unlike the 3 other places we tried), super fresh and tasty - the Salmon and Tuna in particular. Tempera as also not to thick and hard unlike other places. Wonderful, thank you!

Takahumi Sushi is without a doubt one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever visited. From the moment I entered the restaurant I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant's stylish and modern design conveys a feeling of elegance without losing the traditional Japanese aesthetic. The quality of the sushi was absolutely outstanding. Every single roll was prepared with the utmost care and precision, and the freshness of the ingredients was clearly noticeable. The fish was buttery tender, perfectly cut and of first class quality. I would particularly like to highlight the selection of special creations that go far beyond what you would expect at your average sushi restaurant. The combinations of flavors and textures were perfectly balanced. The service was also exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Every question about the food was answered with patience and expertise, and recommendations were even made for suitable drinks that complemented the taste of the sushi wonderfully. Another highlight was the presentation of the food - each dish was a small work of art, prepared with great attention to detail. Even the smallest details, like the decoration of the plates, showed the passion and dedication of the team. The price-performance ratio is more than justified given the quality and the overall experience. Here you get sushi on a level that you rarely find anywhere else. I would recommend Takahumi Sushi to anyone who loves authentic, quality sushi and is looking for an unforgettable dining experience. For me it is definitely a new favorite place that I will visit again and again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5 stars!

It is located inside the subway/train station and therefore underground. High price range with some smaller solutions. Excellent quality and presentation of the dishes. Small but well presented place in the room, then towards the toilets it looks like a warehouse, the bathroom a disaster, everything broken. Of course I don't go to restaurants for the bathroom, but I believe that taking care of the environment matters, from the dishes to everything else.

An unforgettable New Year’s Eve experience – a clear recommendation! I spontaneously reserved a table for New Year's Eve using the “OpenTable” app and the booking went smoothly. The restaurant is located right in downtown Frankfurt, which is why the MyZeil parking garage is ideal. From there it's about a 6 minute walk. However, a little adventure awaits you when you arrive: If you don't know the restaurant, you'll find yourself standing at the top of the street and wondering where exactly it is. The answer: You have to go down to the main guard station. This contrast – the rather uninviting surroundings of the Hauptwache and the stylish, elegant ambience of the restaurant – creates a very special atmosphere that I personally found to be very charming. Inside, the restaurant impresses with its stylish furnishings and an ambience that immediately creates a feel-good atmosphere. The service is excellent: the waitress is friendly, speaks perfect German, is attentive but never intrusive. The manager of the house was also present and proved to be extremely hospitable. Although the restaurant officially closes at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve, we were allowed to stay until 9:45 p.m. so we didn't have to wait over an hour in the cold for our next reservation. Big praise for this flexibility and hospitality! Culinary highlights: • Baked Chicken Bowl: The portion was filling and the baked chicken was crispy, perfectly seasoned and not at all greasy. Absolutely convincing in terms of taste! • New York Rolls (Sushi Inside Out with Salmon and Avocado): The sushi was outstanding. The rice had a pleasant tenderness without appearing mushy - in terms of taste it was grade 1! • Dessert – Sweet rice with mango: The taste was great, but the portion was quite small. At a price of 8 euros I would have expected a little more. However, the taste here is also a grade 1. Of course, the prices are partly influenced by the central location, which is understandable. Conclusion: This restaurant is a real insider tip in Frankfurt. From the atmosphere to the service to the food – everything was consistently convincing. I can fully recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Very picky eater here and was very pleasantly surprised by this amazing Japanese restaurant . Miso soup was great, Nigiri special for two was fresh, delicious and delicately served. Sashimi was superb. On the pricier side but worth it. This restaurant is a find. Recommended.

Amazing hidden gem in the train station. Way above expectations in all categories. Best price quality sushi - extremely fresh, made in front of your eyes (sushi chefs are preparing whole fresh fish) and the sushi has lots of delicious fish (no fried BS). 10/10

We spontaneously visited Takahumi Sushi on a Friday evening and were lucky to get a spot. After a short wait, we were seated at the counter, offering a front-row view of the chefs preparing sushi. An experience as captivating to watch as it was delicious to eat! And we even received our sushi directly from the chefs, adding a personal and interactive touch to the experience. The staff is really friendly and attentive. Reservations are highly recommended for this popular spot. We ordered the Flying Salmon Roll, which was flambéed and full of rich, smoky flavor, and the Rainbow Roll, a beautifully arranged dish with various fresh fish toppings. The edible flowers, fresh herbs, and delicate garnishes added an artistic touch to the presentation, making the dish a feast for both the eyes and the palate. For dessert, we had crispy fried coconut rice balls, served with fresh berries and dusted with powdered sugar - really tasty. We also enjoyed a refreshing rose lemonade, served with berries and mint for a hint of sophistication. The menu at Takahumi Sushi offers an array of exquisite and creative sushi creations. Just browsing through the menu and their Instagram account is enough to spark ones imagination. On our next visit we want to explore more of their unique offerings. It's truly a must-visit for sushi lovers!

You can find this restaurant in the Allianz Passage, Hauptwache B level. Excellent sushi, sashimi, ramen and more. Modern, cozy furnishings, the open kitchen allows a view of the preparation. The dishes are artfully prepared and of high quality. I'll definitely come back.

The best sushi in all of Frankfurt! I go there very often and everyone I take with me is without exception enthusiastic about the chef and his wonderful sushi creations! Also try the ramen soups! I tried just about everything on the menu and can promise that every single dish was well thought out and executed. Thank you for having the wonderful and extremely nice Takahumi team!

The overall experience was unsatisfactory. The ingredients are not fresh enough, especially the sea urchin does not taste like fresh sea urchin, and even has a bit of an off smell. The shrimp has a slightly fishy smell, and the salmon also has tendons that affect the taste. Although the presentation is exquisite, there are too many decorations and it looks too fancy.

I was so excited about the sushi on my first visit to Takahumi that I drove back to Frankfurt the following month to eat it again. It's super tasty and you can definitely taste the quality of the fish, unlike other sushi providers. The sushi melts in your mouth because the fish is so tender and fresh. The service is good and very nice, they even took our jackets from us and took them to the cloakroom. All in all, a great experience for sushi lovers!

This is a gem that is quintessentially Frankfurt. Inside the subway station you will find one of the city’s best Japanese restaurants. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. Do yourself a favour and accept their recommendations, you will thoroughly enjoy them. Don’t skip the nigiri! The eel was particularly tasty. The only downside is the size, which might at times make it feel a little crowded. But I honestly think it adds to the experience.

Always new and not everyday. We have known the owner and his team for several years and it is always something special to eat here. The ambience speaks for itself, if you want to visit a run-of-the-mill sushi restaurant, this is the wrong place. Here you can watch how the dishes are prepared freshly and individually with great attention to detail and you can not only see this quality and freshness, but also taste it. The owner and his team are happy to accommodate any requests and you are always recommended something new. For us, no other restaurant comes into question when it comes to sushi.

Unfortunately the food was too tasty and didn't survive waiting for a photo. But I promise that in real life everything looks at least as great as it tastes. I think the price is very good for the fresh taste. The shop is tiny but has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I can only recommend the shop. Starter shrimp crispy with truffle, super tasty and cheap 4 pieces 12 euros I forgot the rest as it was called but it was everything.

Seriously - who goes to Frankfurt for killer authentic, ordering and serving in Japanese, oishi sushi. Also, in a subway hall. Well, I am so doing that for one. This place was amazing. As a foreigner going to a foreign place in a foreign country I almost gave up when I walked to the spot Google Maps told me it was, and found a…. News Stand? After circling the block I realised I was standing on a giant underground labyrinth of other shops and restaurants and ventured below the surface. It was completely worth spelunking through the tunnels, and pretty easy to find. The staff were very accommodating, even though there was an extremely Japanese Karaoke party clearly booked in when I got there (again - let me reiterate, in downtown Frankfurt). When my German failed me and my server’s English failed us, we fell back on Japanese, and I was sold. Great food, great experience, and now I’m two amazing sushi places down in Frankfurt and I’m coming here when I need a fix.

The Tonkotsu ramen here is my favourite in Frankfurt. I am regular client and I highly recommend it. The one and only downside is that it's located underground but the ambience is anyway quite good despite that.

Takahumi is the best restaurant with the best sushi roll: the Spider Roll🕷️ The Spider Roll is the only sushi roll with softshell crab that I have ever found in a restaurant and it tastes fantastic! Don't see them on the menu? You're right, but that doesn't change the fact that you shouldn't order them. Turn to dear Laszlo. He makes you 1A sushi rolls and is always friendly and polite. He has been with the restaurant since its previous location and is an important part of the company for us. We are always happy to see him and he now knows that as soon as we come through the door he can do a Spider Roll again :D Other great rolls that we can only recommend and that Laszlo prepares perfectly for you are the Dragon Roll 🐉 and the Flying Salmon Roll 🐟 P.S. Un posto per riassaporare i gusti del Giappone. Cibo curato e buonissimo. Otoro e chutoro davvero eccezionali. Il cuoco gentilissimo e simpatico. L'atmosfera è davvero carina, nonostante come posizione sia all'interno di una stazione. Tutto crea un connubio comunque perfetto e ogni pezzo di sushi e tempura sono un viaggio all'interno del gusto asiatico più genuino. Complimenti! Locale consigliatissimo.

The restaurant is located on the Frankfurt B level. Just take the escalator down in front of Zara. We searched for a little longer, hence the tip. This restaurant is absolutely recommended! Air-conditioned, great ambience, very friendly service and excellent food. The Suhsi is awesome. Very good quantity, the food prepared with love. From gold to caviar and edible flowers, everything is there. I am a regular at Zenzakan and an absolute sushi lover. I value the highest quality fish. I have to say that the quality of the fish and the way the food is presented is far better than Zenzakan or any other sushi restaurant. Please try it yourself 💕

Tips: it's underground on the way to S Bahn and ask when you enter what time they stop serving food. It was so good I wish I would have known about the 9p food cutoff or I would have ordered more!

It was all so delicious, and since it was aged raw fish, it had a great flavor. Salmon is especially delicious. Personally, the standard for good sushi in foreign countries is whether or not it has sea urchin roe. Although it was expensive, it was really delicious.

An exceptional place for exceptionally good sushi. Takahumi is an absolute insider tip for all sushi lovers. There are creative creations that give you an incredible taste experience. The team is incredibly nice and accommodating and there is a very good vibe in the restaurant with pleasant music. You can also watch the sushi chef prepare it directly and see how classy he is. I can really recommend Takahumi to everyone! And even if some people don't like the price, it is absolutely justified. Good food just has its price.

Definitely worth a visit. The reception is friendly, the service is attentive and overall I always had the feeling that all employees were interested in my well-being. I was skeptical at first because the Takahumi is on the mezzanine level of the Hauptwache stop and is therefore not exactly nice. But when you sit in a restaurant, everything around you is quickly forgotten. The chefs know their craft and prepare the dishes very carefully. When you sit at the bar, however, you notice that some of the moves here and there are not yet perfectly rehearsed. The prices are also a bit too high in my opinion. Nevertheless, if the price doesn't play the main role, you can have a really good time here. In any case, I wouldn't be disappointed. But I'm still missing something from the great sushi masters I've had the honor of dining with so far.

Special flair in the B level, an exquisite island in the underground. Service good, a bit slow. Food was very good, but also extremely expensive - partly just appropriate for my taste because everything is freshly prepared, but partly also a bit off the charts. My tip: take one of the lunch menus, they are reasonably priced and are completely sufficient.

To be honest I probably would have just walked past as it is underground and very inconspicuous. Now we are sitting here and are very happy that we went in after all. The food was great, the staff was super friendly, so all in all this restaurant is great and can only be recommended.
