TAJ MAHAL Indisches Spezialitätenrestaurant Ulm in Ulm

Habe zum liefern nach Wiblingen bestellt. Auf der Webseite war dies auch möglich mit Mindestbestellwert von 30 Euro. Meine Bestellung war für 35 Euro. Direkt nach Bestellung wurde ich vom Restaurant angerufen, ich solle noch eine Speise hinzufügen da es sich nicht lohne. Er wollte mindestens 45 Euro. Dies habe ich mehrfach abgelehnt, da ich schlicht keine weitere Speise benötigt hätte. Er hat mich mehrere Minuten lang bearbeitet, ich solle eine weitere Speise hinzufügen. Habe stattdessen angeboten, die Bestellung zu stornieren. Er hat darauf mit seinem Chef Rücksprache gehalten und mich zurückgerufen, dass es "diesmal ok ist, nächstes Mal aber nicht." Das gesamte Gespräch war dermaßen unfreundlich, verabschiedet hat er sich auch nicht, sondern noch während ich gesprochen habe, einfach aufgelegt. Die Lieferung erfolgte pünktlich nach 45min. Allerdings hat das Essen sehr zu Wünschen übrig gelassen. Es hat nicht schlecht geschmeckt, denn es hatte schlicht keinen Geschmack. Ich hätte auch auf Papier kauen können. Kräftiges Nachwürzen hat zumindest dies teilweise behoben, nochmal werde ich nach dieser Erfahrung allerdings nicht dort bestellen.

Wir werden nicht mehr bei Taj Mahal bestellen. Ich hab ausdrücklich laut Karte eine knusprige Ente bestellt, habe aber eine labrige Ente bekommen, die nicht annähernd knusprig war. Das geht gar nicht! Des Weiteren schmeckt jedes Gericht irgendwie ähnlich. Wir haben heute dort zum letzten Mal bestellt.

Das Essen ist wirklich lecker, aber das einzige Problem ist, dass die Lieferung ewig dauert, wenn wir online bestellen.

Ich war letztes Jahr schon einmal hier und wollte dem Restaurant eine zweite Chance geben. Das Essen war recht gut, aber der Hauptgang wurde zusammen mit der Vorspeise serviert. Der Empfang war nicht vorhanden; der Kellner war abweisend und lächelte kein einziges Mal, um mir das Gefühl zu geben, willkommen zu sein. Laut anderen Bewertungen scheint dies häufiger vorzukommen. Das mag der Grund dafür sein, dass das Restaurant an einem Samstagabend um 20 Uhr leer war, während das asiatische Fusionsrestaurant nebenan voll besetzt war.

Das Taj Mahal wirkt sehr einladend. Ein großer Raum mit angenehmer Deko und sehr sauber. Das Essen war sehr gut, mit einem Gruß aus der Küche vorweg. Die Portionen und Preise sind in Ordnung. Wir würden wieder kommen. Eine Punkt Abzug gibt es für die nicht sonderlich freundliche Bedienung, er war leider unaufmerksam und nicht sehr bemüht.

Ich habe dieses Restaurant gestern besucht und war rundum begeistert. Das Essen war absolut köstlich – von mir gibt es volle 5 Sterne! Jedes Gericht schmeckte frisch und war perfekt zubereitet. Der Service war gut und die Mitarbeiter freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Das Essen hat etwas länger gedauert als erwartet. Aber das Warten hat sich definitiv gelohnt, also kein Grund zur Beschwerde. Das Restaurant hat außerdem ein tolles Ambiente. Die Atmosphäre war warm und einladend, ein wirklich angenehmer Ort, um eine Mahlzeit zu genießen. Fazit: Leckeres Essen, tolles Ambiente, guter Service – ein etwas schnellerer Service hätte es perfekt gemacht. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Im Januar/Februar 2026 waren wir 2x im Taj Mahal in Ulm, jeweils direkt zur Öffnungszeit, also kurz nach 17h. Beide Male betraten wir, das Ambiente betreffend, eine kleine indische Insel: dezent indische Klänge und Gerüche im Background, die Tische schön eingedeckt. 1x entschieden wir uns für vegetarisches Thali, das andere Mal für ein vegetarisches Gericht und eines mit Huhn. Eine indische Authentizität war geschmacklich gut erkennbar (das Huhn war etwas zu trocken). Als Getränk entschieden wir uns für den sehr leckeren indischen Haustee. Service war ok, Lautstärke absolut angenehm, insgesamt entspannte Atmosphäre. Wir gehen wieder hin.

Ich war am Samstag um 20.30 Uhr dort essen und wurde vom Kellner vorgewarnt, dass ich länger auf mein Essen warten müsste, da das Restaurant sehr voll war. Nach einer Stunde kam mein gutes und warmes Essen. Alles bestens und gerne komme ich wieder!

Sie liefern keine Bestellungen von Lieferando aus, obwohl sie die Bestellung bestätigen und man 3 Stunden warten muss. Update: Sie lieferten um 22:30 Uhr das Essen, das ich um 18:36 Uhr bestellt hatte.

Ihr wart 4-5 sterne. Kommt bitte wieder zurück dazu.

Sehr sauberes Restaurant mit ruhiger Atmosphäre. Das Essen war richtig lecker und das Personal super freundlich. Gerne wieder!

Sehr schlecht essen , hat gar nicht geschmeckt

Der Lieferservice ist äußerst enttäuschend. Es wurde eine Lieferzeit von einer Stunde angegeben. Nach zwei Stunden war jedoch noch keine Lieferung erfolgt. Auf Nachfrage wurde mir mitgeteilt, der Fahrer sei bereits unterwegs und das Essen würde innerhalb von 20 Minuten eintreffen. Nachdem erneut eine Stunde vergangen war (insgesamt drei Stunden Wartezeit) und ich ein weiteres Telefonat führte, stellte sich heraus, dass die Zubereitung der Speisen noch nicht einmal begonnen hatte. Zudem teilte man mir mit, dass das Restaurant Taj Mahal die Bestellung selbst stornieren wolle.

Leckeres und authentisches indisches Essen. Service in Ordnung. Gute Lage, Zentrumsnähe. Gerne wieder.

Äußerst enttäuschende Erfahrung. Wir besuchten dieses Restaurant und bestellten Kadahi Paneer und Palak Paneer. Die Qualität des Essens war sehr schlecht. Das Kadahi Paneer schmeckte wie ein fades, liebloses Curry ohne jeglichen Geschmack. Beim Essen entdeckten wir plötzlich ein Stück Hühnchen im Gericht, was absolut inakzeptabel ist, insbesondere für Vegetarier. Wir informierten den Kellner sofort. Er wirkte überrascht, entschuldigte sich aber nicht. Er nahm das Gericht einfach mit und brachte es kurz darauf zurück. Es schmeckte, als wäre das Curry aufgewärmt statt frisch zubereitet worden. Er bot uns kostenlos zusätzliches Naan an, das aber auch nicht schmeckte. Aufgrund dieser Erfahrung konnten wir das Essen nicht aufessen. Als der Kellner fragte, ob wir den Rest einpacken lassen wollten, lehnten wir entschieden ab, da wir nichts mehr essen wollten. Daraufhin räumte er die Teller ab und wir warteten auf die Rechnung. Wir saßen etwa zehn Minuten lang da, ohne dass sich jemand um uns kümmerte. Wir fühlten uns ignoriert oder hatten den Eindruck, ohne ordentliche Erklärung gehen zu müssen. Schließlich gingen wir selbst zur Kasse und bezahlten den vollen Betrag. Während des gesamten Besuchs entschuldigte sich kein einziger Mitarbeiter und zeigte auch nur das geringste Bedauern. Für uns Vegetarier war das sehr ärgerlich. Fleisch in ein vegetarisches Gericht zu mischen, ist ein schwerwiegendes Problem und zeugt von mangelnder Sorgfalt und Hygiene in der Küche. Das Essen, der Service und das Verhalten des Personals waren allesamt sehr schlecht. Ich kann dieses Restaurant Vegetariern und Veganern absolut nicht empfehlen. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht und werden nicht wiederkommen.

Die Qualität des Essens, der Service und die Reaktion des Personals waren allesamt enttäuschend. Ich rate Vegetariern und Veganern dringend davon ab, dieses Restaurant zu besuchen. Wir verließen es frustriert und werden nicht wiederkommen.

Zum Lieferservice kann ich keine Aussage machen. Aber das Essen im Restaurant ist voll okay und dies zu einem erstaunlich fairen Preis. Die Kellner waren stets höflich. Ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen hier nicht verstehen.

Früher war es noch gut, heute eine Katastrophe. 2 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet (liefern lassen). Über 70€ ausgegeben und alles schmeckt gleich was es nicht sollte (als halbe Inderin weiß ich das, habe mein halbes Leben dort verbracht)! Egal Ob es die Kichererbsen, das Chicken oder die scharfen Kartoffeln waren. Alles hatte dieselbe Sauce. Selbst das Biriyani war eine Enttäuschung. So leid es mir tut. Aber das war die letzte Bestellung bei Taj Mahal.

Über 2 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet. Als es ankam war es schon eher kalt. für je 16€ die Portion war es einfach viel zu wenig und auch nicht wirklich mit Variation.. Fleisch etwas Soße und 50 cent Reis.... Ich bestelle nirgendwo mehr. Man kann einfach nicht mehr normal essen gehen weil die Qualität so unterirdisch geworden ist.

Das Essen war Durchschnitt, nicht gut, nicht zu schlecht, aber es waren drei unterschiedliche Gerichte die alle fast gleich geschmeckt haben. Eins mit huhn, eins mit fisch, eins mit käse... Das schlimmste: die Wartezeit. Wir saßen eine Stunde bis das essen kam und es waren außer unserem Tisch, nur zwei weitere besetzt.... Der Service? Uff... Bis wir sagen konnten das ein Teller schmutzig ist.... bis wir endlich einen Anderen bekommen haben... während eine von uns da saß und keinen Teller hatte, war der Kellner bei anderen Gästen das Essen bringen. Bin dann selber aufgestanden. Beim Bezahlen dasselbe... Außerdem sehr wortkarg und lustlus, nicht angenehm.

Unterirdisch. Leider. Ich gehe gar nicht darauf ein, dass ich hier schon ein zwei mal essen war und der Service eine Katastrophe ist. Hier geht es heute um eine Bestellung. Auf die wir 2,5 Stunden gewartet haben. Telefonische Nachfrage ist gar nicht er möglich. Da nie einer ans Telefon geht. Das Restaurant nicht und auch die Fahrer nicht. Auf Lieferando wurde über eine Std angezeigt, dass es jeden Moment da ist. Das mit dem bestellen hier, werde ich in Zukunft eindeutig lassen.

Das Restaurant Taj Mahal in der Nähe des Rotkreuzplatzes ist ein wunderbarer Ort für authentische indische Küche. Die Atmosphäre ist warm und einladend, und der freundliche Service sorgt dafür, dass man sich sofort wie zu Hause fühlt. Die Speisen schmecken authentisch und traditionell, mit reichhaltigen Aromen und perfekt abgestimmten Gewürzen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Dal Makhni – cremig, perfekt gewürzt und mit jener tiefen Geschmacksnote, die man außerhalb Indiens nur schwer findet. Auch die anderen Gerichte sind hervorragend zubereitet und ansprechend angerichtet, und der duftende Reis rundet das Essen perfekt ab. Insgesamt ist das Taj Mahal eine ausgezeichnete Wahl, wenn Sie in München Lust auf echtes indisches Essen haben – authentisch, sättigend und voller Geschmack.

Gutes indisches Restaurant, aber ich wurde beim zweiten Mal enttäuscht, da ich fast 2 Stunden auf die Lieferung warten musste.

Vegetable samosas were mostly dough, and the chicken vindaloo was ok, but 0% spicy

I visited there one month ago. I order a kadahi chicken but they serve me butter chicken. Staff is also rude i visited there at 14:00 told me to order fast because of closing time 14:30 and ask me to eat fast and pay the bill just to enjoy the rest time. Staff have no sense how to treat with a customer just because of my brown skin and my indian look. Other hand restaurant have good atmosphere and sitting but owner must teach their staff spaek politely with all customers no matter indian or white people.

Ordered from the new menu(Masala Dosa, Samosa Chat and Chole Bhature) .All dishes were really nice. Good to have some Dosa"s in Ulm.

Extremely rude waiter with no manners to speak with customers. Brought wrong item and refused to change. Absolutely unfit to work in a restaurant. Food was also just ok, nothing special. There are better Indian restaurants with much more polite and professional staff and food. Please avoid this place.

The two appetizers weren't that good, but the main course was good. They dropped a dish of rice and left it on the floor. Be careful if you leave a negative review. You'll get a complaint, and Google will want to remove it. So make sure you have proof. Google case about removal: [3-8906000036973] I even sent photos and bank statements to Google to prove I'd been there.

Excellent Indian restaurant, a little out of the way. The food is really good. The butter chicken is excellent (although a little too sweet for my taste), the samosas are delicious and generous (the dough is excellent), and the naans... perfect! The server was friendly and let us charge our phones without any problem. A great place!

Food was just ok…actually for the prices, we expected much better tasting dishes. Samosas were pretty bad, very bland, my sister actually makes much better ones. They were crisp and huge. Sauces were watery, tasteless. Chicken Tikka was actually pretty good, little bland too but def the best. Very juicy. Chili chicken was really bad. The sauce was weird. It seemed like a jar sauce with artificial color was used but not sure. Very bland as well but it dawned on me, they never asked us what spice level for any dish. And I also forgot. Naan was very good. One odd thing was the charge that hit our card. Our card does not charge any upcharge on the currency conversion so it’s always a straight conversion from Euro to USD at the current rate. Charge should have been $48.10 but I was charged $50.29 when I checked later. There’s nothing on my receipt about DCC conversion and the POS didn’t ask. It’s even too high for a credit card fee. So I’m thinking they charged me extra for some reason without disclosing it. We will try another local place while here or just wait until we are in Munich. If you want to eat here, I would say move on and try another place.

Attitude need to be changed for repeat clients. You are treated with respect only if you have drinks and make fat bills. I gave another try assuming yesterday was an accident but I will never ever go there nor suggest anyone who cares for self respect.

Overall, nothing special. The food is rather traditional, but maybe... not completely freshly prepared. It tastes as if the different sauces had been stored for a long time, then simply warmed up and fresh vegetables and meat were added. Still superior taste. The prices on the cards are different. We ordered food from this restaurant. It was indicated to us for over an hour that the food would arrive soon. After 2 hours we were suddenly informed that the restaurant had apparently delivered over an hour ago. I'll never order here again.

Went to the Taj Mahal for the first time today. I enjoyed it very much. I'd love to come back. The menu has many dishes that I would like to try. Tasty, good portions, friendly service = 👍 P.S. The ringing from the telephone and the device for external orders can be quieter or located somewhere else. This is a friendly tip for the ambience.

We used to really enjoy being here. It was delicious. Now they have slacked off dramatically. The food tastes bland, the service is so-so. Unfortunately we won't be coming here anymore. Too bad.

I came into an almost empty restaurant and waited a moment to see if anyone would come to seat me, no; So I go to the waiter who is taking an order at a table, wait a moment and ask for a table for one person. I was shown carelessly to the empty restaurant - all right, I'll take one from the window. I sit down and then pass (there are 5 guests in the restaurant) for 5 minutes - nothing. Then I get a card, choose, order and eat. The food wasn't a highlight but it was okay - but charging over 30 euros for that is steep. What I'm definitely missing is advice on my own. What is what; It doesn't pay to order extra bread because it comes with the main course; a greeting comes from the kitchen; etc... But what is NOT possible at all are the "wiping notices on the window panes" which point out that you are not allowed to take drinks into the restaurant - just because this happens once or twice a year.

Bland food and loveless service That was nothing...

We waited 15 minutes for a card, then another 15 minutes until we could order and from then on 1 HOUR until the food arrived. Although we were in the restaurant at a busy time, we were never informed that it might take longer. So we sat there feeling like we had been forgotten in the restaurant. The employees seemed massively overwhelmed and sometimes didn't clear tables during our entire stay. There was no excuse for the long wait, instead the waiter added a €10 tip to the card payment without asking, which I noticed at the last moment. Absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

While you wait for the delivery service, you can simply cook the food yourself or pick it up. From India.

No matter how delicious the food may be, if the delivery takes twice as long as stated, then the store is not worth it! I called after 1.5 hours and was blatantly lied to about the remaining delivery time. When it arrived the food was cold.

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. We didn't receive a particularly friendly welcome, possibly because we were traveling with our dog. We were assigned a table in the back area. The welcome snack (papadam with 3 sauces) was not appealing and did not suit our taste. Compared to other restaurants we visited, this snack was less successful and didn't wow us. We ordered the platter with 4 different types of meat for 2 people. Visually, the dish initially looked good, but when we ate it, it became apparent that the quality of the meat did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, the taste was not convincing and left an unpleasant aftertaste. Overall, our impression of this restaurant was rather negative. Although we have had many good experiences with Indian cuisine, this experience did not live up to our expectations. We hope the restaurant makes improvements to increase guest satisfaction. For a small amount of spinach with cheese and rice, you pay surprisingly much in terms of price for a main course and the quantity of a children's plate. Very tasty, but definitely too expensive. The guests at the next table had ordered the 164, supposedly two meat dishes according to the menu, each meat dish consisted of 2 very small pieces of meat (no bigger than nuggets) and a total of 3 sauces for €21. Plenty of rice and bread.

Actually, unfortunately, my bad experience so far when it comes to Indian food. I hope it was a “Monday” or the cook was sick or something similar. Sauces tasted like “nothing” in the starter (as if they had been stretched) and in the main course they tasted like soup powder (?!). When I asked to pay by card it was basically rejected with a clear “unlikely”. I've been there before and it wasn't like that back then. Therefore rated a little better than it was this time. Ordered Garlic Nan (off the menu) - and that was good..

We only ever came here because we always thought it was very, very tasty, but unfortunately that was the last time. We were there, ordered our food, had to wait a little longer, no problem. But the food this time was not as we know it. After eating it started with a bad stomach ache and immediate vomiting all night long. Therefore it was the last visit for us. Very unfortunate unfortunately.

The location promises more than it delivers. Orders are forgotten, mixed up, the table was cleared when someone sitting next to us went to the toilet. The dishes don't seem expensive, but considering the portion size, this is not only put into perspective, but downright cheeky. Only the rice will fill the guests. The portions correspond to those of starters or children's portions. The quality of the dishes, however, can be classified as good. Our neighbors at the table were really ripped off because of the amount of meat and after the mini meal for €42 they went to a kebab shop after having to wait an hour for the food. Anyone in their right mind won't go here a second time. The first invoice was also issued incorrectly; it did not correspond to the dishes ordered and eaten. The boss also groomed his employees in front of the guests.

I have loved this place for about 3 years now. This Indian food is the tastiest in the city, in my opinion. The service is also great, both in the restaurant and when delivering. I ordered very frequently through Lieferando and now also through their website. Today I ordered through the website, which offers customizable spicy levels and a wider variety of dishes. Unfortunately, I wrote my address incorrectly. They were very understanding, contacted me promptly and brought the food. I want to recognize this effort as well. An interesting first experience. Unfortunately the food arrived a little late. Since we wanted to surprise ourselves with the special menu, we would have expected more expertise from the waitress. It would have been nice to know more about the dishes that were offered to us and how they were prepared.

Food being served took more than 75 minutes after placing order. Would never recommend to anyone. Totally understaffed

We actually always enjoyed ordering here and found the food to be very tasty. But this time the meat in our butter chicken was very tough and we thought it might have been thawed. Turns out it was really bad. My friend got serious food poisoning and vomited all night. Unfortunately, that was probably the last time we ordered there.

No payment by CARD. We were not warned about this. The service is good, the staff is friendly. Cocktails and drinks for 5 points. The establishment is very stuffy, there is no proper ventilation and all the smells from the kitchen get into the hall. The food is not bad, but I spent the next morning in the toilet 😂🤪🤪🤪🤪

Order details 01.06.2024 at 12:57pm. Last review was complaint and removed ststing scam while it is absolutely real experience. Only for vegetarian food. Staff is okay. Ambience is a bit better and delivery is literally worst. It was 30 mins more late than delivery and when i called they said wait we are preparing other orders too because they have self delivery they make customers wait and deliver 2-3 orders together. The food tasted bad (veg only) even after late delivery. I have dined in here earlier as well as ordered home delivery. I ordered Paneer butter masala, Garlic Naan, Daal tarka and Gulab Jamun. The basic daal was too bad leave other things. Most of vegetarian options are not good in taste. Only dal makhni is best in taste as it should be. Overrated Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was friendly (but sometimes difficult to understand). The ambience was appealing. Unfortunately there was only one handwritten invoice, which always smells like tax fraud.

The rating is not for the food but for the staff's rude behavior. The food quality was average. When we asked for a glass of tap water, they were not allowed to give it and then gave us a glass of tap water saying they are just doing us a favor "Pani ke liye Kaise mana kare(How can we say no for a glass of water)?". Later they included an additional 3 euro in the bill for the glass of water. When we asked them that they said they were just doing us a favor then how can they charge us for it? Then they refunded us the 3 euro with a rude attitude stating to the waiter that you don't give water to anyone next time.
