As an Indian, I would give 11/10

There were four of us at the restaurant on November 30, 2025. All the dishes we received were excellently prepared. The selection was extensive, and the value for money was outstanding. The service was also friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant! Richard B., Austria

Very friendly staff, fast service, large portions so you get full and still have some left over, and very, very delicious food.

Compared to many other Indian restaurants that I have eaten at around the world, they mostly hit all the right notes. The only criticism is the sauce was a little bit less thick and more watery than I would’ve preferred (chicken tikka masala). Quality of food, service and proportion size was excellent.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere seemed pleasant, and the hospitality was good as well.

Indian food as a reward is always a win.

The value for money was top-notch for us! Service: attentive, friendly, and fast (to put it in perspective, it was only moderately busy, but it was still very good nonetheless). Food: we had butter chicken (very tasty) and a garlic naan bread (a real treat...). We'll definitely be back!

The food was very Germanized. I missed the variety of spices in Indian cuisine that I'm used to. A shame.

Me and my friends visited Ulm for the first time and we enjoyed the hospitality. Restaurants staff were polite and gave excellent service. We enjoyed the food and the complementary papad was good touch from hotel side. Will recommend anyone who is trying to explore authentic Indian cuisine.

I used to go there often for the lunch buffet. It always tasted good. This time, it just wasn't good. I didn't like anything they offered. Aside from the location, nothing tasted authentically Indian to me. I didn't even like the yogurt they offered.

A very cozy Indian restaurant. Located right next to the town hall. Very friendly staff. The price/performance ratio is sensational. Never in my numerous previous visits to Indian restaurants throughout Germany have I had such a great meal! TOP-notch food! Extremely satisfied. The portions were truly generous. One of the Good indian restorant in Ulm.

We went there today for lunch, the first time in years. It was very good back then and made us want more Indian food. Today, however, it wasn't quite as great. The food had little flavor but the portions of meat and rice were excellent. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very solid. Overall, unfortunately, we'd rather go to other Indian restaurants again!

Had so much fun, the ambience was good, manager was friendly and cooperative. We got Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken, they adjusted the spiciness according to us. Mango is a must to try.

Was full when we got there, but got seat in minutes, it was great, we were vegetarian but had plenty of options to choose from. Staff was cooperative and we got complementary papads. Its vibe is traditional and elegant. Nice for a good date if you like Indian Food

Excellent food, good service, reasonable prices.

We were there for the lunch buffet. Nothing, absolutely nothing, tasted good! The meat dishes had watery sauces. The chicken was almost flavorless. The soup was bland. The salad was a joke. They don't even give you a drinks menu. The price is far too high for the quality. The ambiance was not pleasant and almost shabby. Service was nonexistent. The dirty dishes were piled up on our table and weren't even cleared away in between. We don't understand who thinks this restaurant is good. Never again!

Not recommended, bad food, unfriendly service...

We had the Vegetable Thali and the special request that we get six different vegetarian dishes for two instead of two identical dishes. This wish would also be implemented. We were served in a friendly manner and had very, very good thali in a well-kept atmosphere, certainly one of the best we've ever had. When we are back in Ulm, we will definitely come here again.

We often go out for Indian food because we have lived there and love it. We think this restaurant is one of the best we know. Very tasty Indian food and friendly service. Soul food at its best.

Amazing place. We arrived at 22:30 and still got served. Super friendly staff even at Sunday night. The food also delicious. I ordered one of the kebabs with lamb and would definitely repeat.

I eat here regularly. Before the starter there is crusty bread with various delicious dips. I don't always make it to dessert after the starter and main course, but I can recommend absolutely everything. Any leftovers are often packed up, which guarantees another meal for the next day. The staff is very polite and the atmosphere is more than appropriate. As a small bonus, I would recommend a table by the window of Ulm Town Hall and its beautiful facade. With that: bon appetit!!

Random, stop for a quick lunch. 🍜😋 It's definitely a good decision. 👍😊 We were very well treated by a person named Gill. ⭐👏 Ate samosas (crisp, a bit spicy); the chutney provided elevated the taste. 😋🌶️ Mixed pakora of vegetables, chicken, and fish—not so good personally, as you hardly had any chicken or fish in it. 😕🤔 Main dish: Karahi chicken and chicken Tikka masala (spicy). To be honest, very few restaurant has different tastes when you compare their gravies, and this one truly had a unique, spicy, rich taste to both chicken curries, of course served with complimentary rice 🍛🔥💯 Price to quality: I would definitely recommend it. 👍✅ Until next time to try some other dishes as well. 🍽️😋 P.S. Until 2:30 p.m., you can enjoy a vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffet option costing €11.99.

Chicken tastes weird and old!! I got a stomach ache

Was there at lunchtime by chance. Selection of lentil dish, hot chicken, rice, potato dish, salad, dips and bread. Missed dessert. Quality of the food is good. Service very good.

We tried the lunch menu (buffet) today. The selection was mediocre, so not huge. The restaurant didn't suit my personal taste...the usual quality (Indian cuisine) that I know wasn't there either. The dishes were kept in warming boxes, unfortunately only lukewarm...we were there at 11:30 a.m. This is my personal impression, we will try something else next time.

Curry is poor, but the lamb tandoori is very good!

It's always a pleasure to enjoy the varied Indian cuisine. Today it was the offer at the lunch buffet. There was something for every taste, from mild to spicy meat dishes as well as vegetarian versions and soup. A good tip for weekdays.

I was here for the first time today and I have to say I was very satisfied. At the waiter's recommendation we took number 42 and it arrived after a very short time. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who is in the mood for skilled culinary food. Gladly again at any time

I had a tandoori mix. Different types of meat marinated differently. One was better than the other. You can talk about a taste explosion. Will definitely come back. 👌

We ordered the buffet, but there were only 6 dishes available being one of them just rice. They were also too spicy giving no alternative options.

I was not satisfied with the quality of the food, especially the vegetable biryani, which is stored food and was reheated. As for the vegetable soup, it is wonderful, and the lentil soup, other than that, I do not recommend the prices. It is completely similar to other restaurants and the service. There is no outdoor seating on the other side.

The Himalaya is very centrally located in Ulm and is easily accessible by public transport. In terms of price, it is quite cheap to eat there. We all liked the taste and were full too. Rice was refilled at no extra charge. We had made a reservation, which went smoothly. Access is not entirely barrier-free/wheelchair accessible.

We visited this place for the very first time and the impression its owner & staff left on us is unforgettable. It was during lunch that we went to this restaurant & asked for menu card. We started looking to order our food. Within 30 seconds of getting menu, the staff member visited us 3 times, continuously asked for order and he was more focused on its buffet. First of all we were reluctant but he insisted. We asked for buffet menu and he told us there is salad, bread, lentils and mix veggie. Somehow we chose to go for buffet as he was keen to get the orders on buffet. We missed the trick here. We took the plate and took lentils, rice and salad. As soon as we started taking bread, it was super cold, and hard to chew as if it is cold pressed. Here it starts the drama - I asked the owner if he can provide us hot bread, he simply made the stmt - "If you need hot bread, you can order additionally. No hot bread on buffet even if its stone harded." Then why did he insisted so much on buffet? We were not asking free food. We were paying for his buffet menu. WE did not like his way of talking. As we already had some food in our plates (we did not want to continue but), we continued our spirit of not wasting the food. As it was buffet, I took lentil another time... In this scenario, staff started gossiping that they already took the food 2-3 times. Customer does not exptect such stmts from restaurant owner & staff. They were talking in Punjabi (Indian language) and somehow we understood what he was saying. Now, you can guess the type of mindset they are having. We were not having free food. Of course, we were paying for it. Quality of mix veg - Stale veggies used Quality of lentil - OK (but below than other restaurants) Breads - Thick and hard like anything. Attitude & customer handling - Less than 0 Mindset of this restaurant - Money Money Money Wont recommend it to others.

What can I say!! I’m an Indian looking for nice authentic Indian food in Germany and this place isn’t the one to visit!! The dhal looked like dishwater. All the curry’s had the same sauce with no flavour and all ever so brown sludge, no spice or any taste to it. I do not recommend!! Do not come here

Delicious Indian food in the heart of Ulm. Well flavoured food. Menu 3 had a good Dal soup, papadums and 2 mains with rice. For desserts we could choice what we like. Menu 3 for 52 euro for 2 personnes.

Literally bad food in taste. Ambience wasn’t great and service was okay. You will find a better indian restaurant than this atleast in food. Not only vegetarian food taste bad, my friend tried beef curry and some other dishes and he too disliked it.
