Unfortunately, my stomach didn't feel particularly good after eating. Tasted good, rice unfortunately bland. Personally, I don't have to go again.

Briefly in advance: - DANGER!!! The prices are more expensive than on the menu!!! Be sure to check!!! - Card payments are not welcomed - Gourmet blocks/vouchers are not welcomed - However, the dishes are comparatively tasty The owner of the restaurant, as we assume, greeted us very friendly at the beginning. However, as soon as she noticed that we came with a voucher from the gourmet block, her friendliness diminished. Her harsh tone towards her own employees, whom she literally shouts at, confirms this unfriendliness. The employees, on the other hand, served us very friendly and we almost felt sorry for them. Dealing with vouchers: The negative reaction to the Schlemmerblock is unprofessional. If the restaurant participates in this program, customers who take advantage of it should be treated equally. We noticed something similar with the Schlemmerblock in the same restaurant on a previous visit. This is not an isolated case. Prices of the dishes: When paying, it turned out that the price for the main course had suddenly increased by four euros (!!!). The bill was calculated again by the owner(?) with pen and paper. This is completely unacceptable! Card payment: During our last visit, the owner (?) explained to us that card payment was not possible because she would have to pay additional fees, which in combination with a voucher would lead to a loss-making transaction. Behavior of the owner: The owner's change of mood after recognizing the voucher is unprofessional and customer-unfriendly. The behavior described towards employees is unacceptable and can have a negative impact on the working atmosphere and ultimately on the customer experience. Conclusion: It seems as if the restaurant, despite good food and friendly staff, suffers from problematic management. The practices described and the behavior of the owner are customer-unfriendly. We can completely understand why, on our second attempt and the chance we gave this restaurant, we sat alone in this restaurant again as a family of four. We won't come anymore!

I don’t understand where this “restaurant” got its 4.2 application from. Food really bad and extremely overpriced. We specifically asked if there was Cola Zero and he said yes and then brought light. Waiter doesn't speak a word of German. Ambience really cheap, there are cables everywhere that aren't laid, the guy at the entrance is loudly watching some series. I've really never experienced anything so bad. I really hope you close!

Placed delivery via Lieferando and did not receive an order. After 2 hours I asked by phone what was wrong with my order and was told this restaurant doesn't deliver.

I'm just commenting on the very strange phone call. I spontaneously wanted to reserve a table for two at lunchtime in the next 90 minutes. A lady asked if I had a voucher. I replied with what she meant. She said some come with a voucher. I asked if that made a difference. She said no. Then she asked again if I had a voucher. I then, yes, a gourmet block. “Then nothing is free, only after 5 p.m.,” she said. I then asked if I didn't have a gourmet block if there was a table available. She laughed cheekily and said, no, not until 5 p.m. If that were really the case, she wouldn't have asked for a voucher, but would have said straight away that something wouldn't be available again until 5 p.m. For me, this has an aftertaste and I will complain to the provider Schlemmerblock, as they shouldn't ask about the block when making a reservation or make any distinctions.

First of all I have to say that the delivery was really quick, which is great since we live in the same neighborhood. Unfortunately the quality of the food was disappointing. The Keema Naan was average at best and arrived cold which didn't improve the taste on a rainy and cold day. The Murgh Masala (Butter Chicken) was an even bigger disappointment. Although the portion was generous, the sauce did not resemble either a traditional masala or butter sauce. It seemed like the chicken had been marinated, grilled and then tossed in a red tomato sauce, which was not what I was expecting. The texture of the chicken was inconsistent, with some soft pieces and others chewy. The rice was also a disappointment as it tasted like an inferior store brand and was cooked with too much water. Overall, the restaurant needs to pay more attention to improving the quality of their dishes rather than just the presentation. We were sitting in a kind of dark hole where hardly any daylight reached us. The service hardly spoke a word of German and even after repeated inquiries, dishes that were not ordered arrived and the actual food was never brought. Unfortunately, it was a complete disaster from start to finish. Definitely not coming anymore.

Very tasty 😋 Friendly, really pleasant. The boss even had time to chat a few words with us. Lovely again.

We have on May 30th. Ordered via Lieferando at 7:55 p.m. Confirmation from the restaurant came at 7:56 p.m. At 9:25 p.m. there was still nothing there so we called them. We were told it was on the way. The food didn't come until 9:55 p.m. When the food came, the employee rang the bell and waited at the entrance door for us to come down from the 1st floor (apartment building) to receive it. In addition, the food was delivered cold. We immediately called the restaurant but two employees there acted as if they didn't understand us. They kept asking for the names even though we said and even spelled them more than 10 times. We will never order here again and will demand our money back from Lieferando.

NOT RECOMMENDABLE!!! Best 0 stars. I have never experienced such cheekiness. I ordered via Lieferrando shortly before 8 p.m., it hadn't been delivered for an hour and a half, then I called where the food was. The man on the phone said "It's on the way, you ordered too much" so please!!! I only ordered three meals (biryani, bread and dessert) 🙄 if you are overwhelmed then don't take orders!! - then called a woman again and told her about the order and she said "it's on the way" - Finally after 2 hours at 10 p.m. the order came, which is when I'm already going to bed 🙄🙄🙄 thank you for that Go to bed hungry Taj Mahal!! and lastly, the woman who delivered the food was just waiting downstairs at the main hallway door and told me to run downstairs to take the food!!!! So!! the food and service is bad. NOT RECOMMENDABLE!!!

I'm writing this review to raise awareness of an issue I encountered with my recent order from Uber Eats. I placed two orders that were part of a "buy one get two" offer. Unfortunately, when I received my order I discovered that I only received one item instead of the two items I was expecting according to the offer. After noticing the discrepancy, I contacted the restaurant directly. However, they were unhelpful and rude and told me that I should have written a comment pointing out that it was an offer that was not mentioned in the app or through any visible instruction during the checkout process was required. I am disappointed with this experience as it caused inconvenience and did not provide the expected service.

Too expensive, quantity is low with average quality food, if you order something which is not in there menu, they put their generic gravy which cost 19 euro, like in our case kadhai chicken which has low quantity as per the price and that too without rice. Bill of 100 euro worth nothing.

A pleasant atmosphere with very nice and attentive wait staff who responded to our wishes. The food was very tasty and, as requested, not too spicy for the children 🤗 Definitely recommended and we will come back, it was very tasty.

We sometimes had to wait a long time for drinks and food and then we got something wrong. Even though the place was empty except for one other group, we were seated close together at two tables. The friendly remark that the food was not as expected and almost without meat was followed by an unfriendly, irritated reaction. Payment process - even at the next table - a bit dubious. Portions small and very expensive despite a block of vouchers.

Delicious food. Tastes like vacation! The lunch menu with soup, two different main courses, salad, raita and bread is particularly recommended.

Food is OK. One of the oldest in Nuremberg. Waiting time and service sucks! If it's full - they just bring you something similar to what you ordered (3 times so far) That's not possible!

Four of us were guests this evening. The dishes come wrapped in aluminum foil. I ordered a few vegetables for my dish. 8 euros extra charge!! My dish therefore cost 30 euros! We only found out when we paid. Naan bread tasted like nothing. A meal was forgotten. Was handed in later, unfortunately very burned. Was a meal forgotten at the next table? Toilets dirty. Floor dirty. When paying you have to be careful that you don't get scammed. We said three times that we wanted to pay. You can't pay with a debit card using the voucher booklet? Without already? Strange! Curry rice that doesn't taste like curry? Coriander is not for everyone! I was happy when we were outside. Won't be coming back!

The food is delicious ! However, the portions are not particularly large. Good eaters should also order a wine starter. You have to like the ambience. The service is OK. We were there with the Schlemmerblock and everything worked well.

Very good Indian food. We've been here several times and the papadums in particular are an absolute hit. The dishes are sometimes a little more authentic than elsewhere and therefore sometimes a little spicier. Therefore, as a precaution, you should ask and let us know if you prefer it less spicy.

Never again! Unacceptably long waiting time of almost 2 hours for a meal that was not convincing in terms of taste or quality. A significant increase in speed and quality is urgently needed.

Kitschy, theatrical Indian decor of the restaurant - something special. Small portions but the taste of the food was ok - the Tibet 200m away is of much better quality with more pleasant service. If you hold out a voucher from the gourmet block to the supposed owner of the Taj Mahal, be careful that she doesn't scratch your face and remember to request the bill early so that it arrives before the store closes. All in all, a fun evening, but not worth a visit without a voucher.

Caution! Restaurant has bad reviews deleted. Customers from the Schlemmerblock are not welcome and you wait forever for your food. Cash payment is required if you come with the block. Keep your distance!

We were here for the first time and came across the restaurant through our voucher book. The price-performance ratio is good and the food (lamb) was very tasty. The service was very friendly. We would definitely like to come back!

The dishes were very appealing both in terms of taste and appearance (e.g. the Paneer Tikka Masala dish). The restaurant is a true institution in Nuremberg and can only be recommended.

The furnishings are getting old, but the service and food quality are always excellent.

Had dinner here today thanks to the voucher block. I can only agree with previous bad reviews. We only had two skin dishes and had the feeling that they were trying to sell us an appetizer that we didn't want. Portions were quite small. I had the 33 and my partner (I think it was the) 1138 or something. There was only a hint of the yogurt mango sauce on the meat. My vegetables were already very black, unfortunately you couldn't eat them without the burnt taste. We won't come again.

Mein Vater und ich sind seit mehreren Jahren regelmäßig Gäste im Tadsch Mahal. Die Einrichtung ist sehr urig und gemütlich. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und bislang waren wir mit dem Essen immer hochzufrieden, ist auf jeden Fall Empfehlung wert. Der Service ist teilweise nicht so aufmerksam und freundlich, hier wäre noch eine Steigerung möglich.

Die bei Google angegebene Telefonnummer scheint eine Privatnummer zu sein, aber auch unter der auf anderen Seiten angegebenen Festnetznummer meldet sich niemand mit Namen des Restaurants oder zumindest der Person, stattdessen nimmt meist jemand mit einem grummeligen, fast genervt wirkenden "ja?" ab. Auch im Restaurant selbst entsteht durch die kalte unfreundliche Art des Personals (bei Abholung) eher der Eindruck man sei unerwünscht. Als wir vor Ort essen waren und mehr Geld dagelassen haben wurden wir ganz anders behandelt. Wirklich schade, da das Essen sehr lecker schmeckt! Besonders die Mittagskarte ist für den Preis unschlagbar! Bei Abholung wird auch hier manchmal die Suppe oder andere Bestandteile kommentarlos weggelassen. Hier sollte dringend am Service gearbeitet werden. Wir kommen aufgrund des guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und dem leckeren Essen trotzdem weiter zur Abholung, auch wenn es jedesmal auch etwas unangenehm ist.

Indisches Restaurant in Johannis mit einer umfangreichen Speisekarte. Lecker abgeschmeckt und gut aufbereitet. Aufmerksamer Service. Reservierung wird empfohlen, da gut nachgefragt. Aus meiner Sicht eine Empfehlung.

Leider eine überwiegend negative Erfahrung und daher nicht zu empfehlen! Wir waren zu 4 da, zwei Essen kamen nach ca 30min was okay war, 2 wurden erst nach ca 1.25h bemerkt, dass fehlen. Wurde eher so verkauft, dass menschlich sei und passieren kann, man gab und zwei Stück Naan als „Kompensation“. Das Essen war nicht schlecht, aber auch keine Offenbarung. Wir haben definitiv schon besser indisch in Nürnberg gegessen. Das Bezahlen erwies sich etwas kompliziert, die Gutscheine aus dem Schlemmerblock wurden teils fälschlich verrechnet, dann korrigiert, es gab Unstimmigkeiten bezüglich der Erstellung eines Bewirtungsbelegs. Insgesamt eine unprofessionelle Abfertigung mit normalem Essen. Für uns wird es keine Wiederholung geben.

Das Restaurant ist meiner Meinung nach etwas in die Jahre gekommen (Deko, Geschirr und Besteck)Das Essen war top. Und am Service muss auch gearbeitet werden zwecks Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit.

Essen war richtig lecker! Nettes Ambiente. Service war zwar nett, allerdings saßen wir ewig vor leeren Gläsern und als wir bestellten wurden die Getränke erstmals vergessen, bis wir erinnerten. Dann hätte sie fast das falsche Getränk bei der Bar bestellt obwohl wir 2x Gesagt haben was wir wollen. Kann passieren. Mit dem Reis das Gleiche. Wir haben Bescheid gegeben, dass wir nochmal etwas bräuchten. Als ne Weile nichts kam fragten wir jemanden anderen. Dann kam ne Weile nichts und so haben wir den Rest eben ohne Reis gegessen. Dann kam der Reis, nur leider etwas zu spät. Auf unser Essen haben wir so 55 min gewartet. Es war nicht viel los. Das Essen war dafür wirklich sehr lecker.

Richtig leckere Samosas! Einer der Besten, die ich hier gegessen habe. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist auch top!

Das Essen ist in Ordnung. Nicht besonders gut, nicht schlecht. Das Knobloch-Naan leider mehr oder weniger ohne knoblauch, dafür frisch. Der Reis sehr neutral. Die sonstigen Gerichte alle OK. Die Bedienungen konnten nur teilweise Deutsch, manchmal Englisch, was vor allem beim Bestellen von alkoholfreiem Bier zu einem Missverständnis führte, obwohl in Summe 6 mal gefragt wurde, ob es wirklich alkoholfrei ist. Die Antwort war immer 'Jaja, Bier'. Bis die Getränke kamen sind 1,25 Stunden vergangen. Das Essen kam nach mehr als 2 Stunden. Die erste Person von uns musste bis dahin leider weg zum Arbeiten in die Nachtschicht. Die Rechnung war per Hand geschrieben. Die Preise aus dem Gedächtnis einer Mitarbeiterin, vielleicht der Chefin, waren teils zu hoch. Als am Ende des Besuchs wurde uns gesagt, dass gerade wegen der Messe Personal fehlt und sie nicht immer 'so arbeiten', was keine Entschuldigung, sondern ein Hinweis war. Aufs Haus gab's deswegen aber nichts ;)

Das Essen hat richtig lecker geschmeckt und kam auch schnell an! Die Portionen waren auch groß und man wird aufjedenfall satt(Service auch sehr lieb). Ambiente auch richtig schön Traditionell man hat sich richtig wohler gefühlt. Nur zum empfehlen!!

Schade. Sehr gutes Essen in einem in die Jahre gekommenen Lokals. WC sehr sauber. Personal sehr zurückhaltend. Wir haben uns nicht wirklich wohl gefühlt. Insgesamt auch nur 4 Gäste an einem Donnerstag Abend. Mit Schlemmer-Gutscheinbuch.

Sehr leckeres Essen in guter Qualität. Die Bedienungen und die Chefin sind sehr nett. Alles in allem ein wirklich tolles indisches Restaurant. Waren vor Jahren schonmal dort und sind jetzt wieder durch den Schlemmerblock darauf aufmerksam geworden. Kommen sehr gerne wieder. Der Raita Mix ist wirklich zu empfehlen !

Creo que hubo un problema ese día porque normalmente dicen que es un restaurante muy bueno. Ese día no estuvieron los propietarios y solo había una persona sirviendo a los clientes. Bueno, además de nosotras solo había una mesa más con una pareja. El camarero casi no habló nada de alemán, prefería hablar en inglés, y tardó media hora en servirnos las bebidas. Me sentí muy mal atendida.

Wir waren recht spontan vorbeigekommen und hatten einen sehr angenehmen Freitag Abend im Taj Mahal Nürnberg. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und bekamen ehrliches authentisch indisches Essen. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt - besonders die vielen verschiedenen Aromen und Gewürze haben uns begeistert. Das Lamm vom Grill mit etwas Raita war mein Favorit. Ein gelungener Aufenthalt, danke dafür.

Waren zuvor noch nicht indisch Essen. Wurden toll beraten und das empfohlene Menü war sehr sehr gut! 👍 Wir kommen wieder!👍

Alles wunderbar! Das Curry war hervorragend. Das Naan-Brot war richtig frisch und lecker. Die Portionen waren großzügig und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Kann es daher nur weiterempfehlen! Kleiner Tipp: Wer das Gutscheinheft nutzen möchte, dem Personal bereits bei Bestellung Bescheid geben.

Wir waren draußen im "Biergarten". Ein paar überdachte Tische im Hinterhof einer Wohnanlage.

Vlakbij ons hotel bevindt zich dit echt indisch restaurant. Wij kozen voor een menu om een idee te krijgen van de verschillende smaken. Allemaal stoofpotjes van vis vlees en groenten vergezeld van 4 mega naan broden en geparfumeerde rijst. Een pittig gekruid soepje om onze maaltijd te starten. Goede kok en mooie porties. Zeker een bezoekje waard. Laat je verrassen .

Die servierten Speisen waren durchwegs sehr gut. Am Außenbereich könnte man noch etwas machen. Trotzdem sehr gute Adresse, um indisch essen zu gehen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

It was an amazing experience we had at this restaurant. Must visit when in Nuremberg as gives family atmosphere along with delicious food. Very friendly host who are always ready to serve you what you wish to have. A must place for Indian food lovers.

Das Essen war super lecker! Die Bedienungen waren auch mega nett und freundlich! Nur zum weiter empfehlen 🤗

Wir waren eine gemischte Gruppe, teils mit und teils ohne Gutscheinbuch und hatten einen netten Abend mit höflichem Service, leckerem Essen und keinerlei Stress oder Problemen. Die Auswahl ist riesig und alle Gerichte authentisch indisch. Das Restaurant existiert bereits seit 42 Jahren, was man dem Interieur allerdings nicht ansieht. Eine Bedienung sprach kein Deutsch, was aber kein Problem war, da unsere Gruppe sowieso englischsprachig ist. Wir würden hier auch ohne Gutscheinbuch nochmals herkommen, was ich bei weitem nicht bei jedem Restaurant aus dem Block sagen würde. Ich kann daher die negativen Bewertungen so gar nicht verstehen.

Seit Jahren das beste indische Küche genießen dürfen. Lecker, reichlich, frisch, heiß und vor allem überpünktlich geliefert. Danke und weiter so. 😊

Das Essen ist außergewöhnlich lecker und wirklich original indisch. Das Ambiente sehr gemütlich und die Bedienung nett. Besonders die typisch indischen Mixgetränke (Shakes bzw. Lassi) sind sehr empfehlenswert. Wir sind schon mehrfach dagewesen und sind einfach begeistert. und diese Bewertung ist garantiert nicht gekauft!

Innen ist das Restaurant Typisch wie ein Indisches Restaurant eingerichtet. Der Außenbereich ist etwas „rustikal“. Personal spricht fast kein Deutsch. Essen war gut :)

We had been to the restaurant for lunch. We loved the lunch thali. We have also been there for dinner and tried other items of the menu but lunch menu is our favourite! We took a Navratna thali which had a paneer curry which had the softest paneer and the curry was delicious, a vegetable curry, which was my favourite and tasted exactly like how it tastes in India. They had a salad and a raita, some rice and freshly prepared, hot naan. We got a paneer paratha for our toddler and she loved it too. All in all it was a really good experience

Butter Chicken bestellt. Die Sauce war sehr wässerig und das Hühnchen war sehr trocken. Wie man das bei Butter Chicken hinbekommt ist mir unschlüssig. Kein gutes Erlebnis, in Nürnberg gibt es echt bessere indische Restaurants.
