10/10 Simple, delicious, homemade tacos 🥲

With Spanish and English being the official languages, you'll immediately feel like you're on vacation. The warm welcome and atmosphere are top-notch. They also serve the typical drinks, horchata and Jamaican rum. The food could be a bit spicier and juicier for my taste, but if you want, you can spice things up with the homemade salsa (watch out for the pops 😜). We'll definitely be back.

I ordered The carnitas burrito. Filled with beans and rice and cheese and tender pork carnitas. The food was flavorful and was accompanied by house- made sauces. One was like a typical salsa/Pico but with a spicy kick. The other was creamier and had a smokiness of Chipotle. I arrived early for dinner, but the manager allowed me to order early. I am grateful for such excellent customer service. I can't really comment on the Atmosphere because I was there alone.

The first truly Mexican restaurant I've found in Bayern. The traditional food is excellent, and the atmosphere is equally exquisite.

Extraordinary! Tuesday special menu with "surprise tacos"

For a relatively high price, I got four small, poorly seasoned tacos with chicken and a few crumbs of cheese. Sorry, guys, I can do much better at home. The guacamole and taco chips for the appetizer, the chips were old and hard, and the guacamole was meaningless. At least the non-alcoholic beer was cold. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

This was our second time here. The atmosphere is very authentic. The interior is beautifully decorated. There's also a small terrace where you can sit and relax. We had the tinga tacos and carnitas tacos. The meat in the tinga tacos isn't as seasoned, unfortunately. However, the carnitas tacos are really delicious. The horchata drink is also delicious. Due to a special offer, we got four tacos for €10, which was good. All the tacos are a bit pricey for the size, but you can treat yourself every now and then. The staff is friendly. We will definitely come back :) Buen provecho!

Second time here and I absolutely loved it, would highly recommend coming here with a party or even a solo treat.

I had tacos and quesadillas. Both were tasty, but really nothing special. The chicken filling in the tacos was dry and unseasoned. The quesadilla was better, but only because of the cheese. Considering the extremely high price, however, I can't recommend the restaurant.

The service made us wait forever for expired beer. The tacos were served with dirty napkins. Given the poor hygiene conditions, I was already worried about the consequences while eating. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Authentic California Mexican food in Germany. Best I've had in all of Europe.

We visited with high expectations and were promptly seated by Constanza. As we waited for our food, the place began to fill up quickly. By my estimate, there were over 30 people seated both inside and at the sidewalk tables. We started with Salsa and Chips, but the chips were disappointingly hard and over-fried, tasting almost like cardboard. Our Nachos con Carne Asada suffered from the same issue. We also tried their Birria, Chicken, and Carne Asada tacos. While the meats were flavorful, the tortilla shells were again disappointing, and the food arrived cold. The most concerning aspect of our visit was that Constanza seemed to be the only server on duty. This is unacceptable given the number of patrons and reflects poorly on management's consideration for their staff, who are vital in the food and beverage industry. Improvements in kitchen timing, food quality, and staffing are essential to enhance the dining experience. Additionally, we had to wait another ten minutes to receive our bill when we were ready to leave. Despite these issues, I am willing to give this restaurant another try because it is veteran-owned, and as a veteran myself, I make an effort to support those who have served. However, improvements are needed, particularly with the tortillas, which should be soft, and the chips, which should be crisp and lightly fried. With the right adjustments, this place has the potential to offer a much better dining experience. I hope to see positive changes on my next visit and will continue to support veteran-owned businesses.

Amazingly authentic tacos! Go there on tuesday for Taco-tuesday🍀 or any other day. Very friendly service as well.

Super delicious food and great margaritas. The ambiance is rustic, but the name suggests "Mexican street food." The owner is a really great guy who's always friendly and relaxed.

Ordered for takeout, order was repeatedly delayed and took 2 hours to arrive. Food itself wasn’t that impressive, burritos didn’t have much taste and felt very mushy. Quite disappointing for the price it costs. The experience is maybe better in person but would not recommend ordering takeout from them.

I was born and raised in Mexico and I can say that it lacked the Mexican seasoning and for me it is not authentic, the carnitas were very salty and the pozole for the price I thought it was going to bring its snack, or at least chopped onion.

Really authentic food, cool atmosphere, good selection of drinks (the margaritas are awesome). However, the portions (especially the burritos) used to be significantly larger for the same price. We were also here at the end of December and it felt like there was no heating. Super cold in the shop, so uncomfortable... The service was friendly, but we waited a long time for the food or for the order to be taken...

I come from a Mexican upbringing in Chula Vista San Diego on the border, I grew up with it my whole life including in my family. I think we had carne asada bbqs once per week growing up. I also know how to make a lot of authentic Mexican myself. That being said The Burria wasn’t fully authentic made but tasted ok for what it was. they didn’t have steak at all which limited a lot of the menu. There is no Al pastor tacos on the menu normal, it’s only for special days which is strange because it’s a Mexican street taco must. I wasn’t a big fan of the verde sauce and other taco sauces in general they didn’t have the old school authentic tastes I was hoping for. The restaurant is not perfect in every way possible but you have to remember your still in Germany and their doing the best they can getting ingredients. I didn’t See Cotija cheese and other little things like that I guess the food they are doing doesn’t require it so much but once again I understand it won’t be perfect..when you walk in the smell right away had me at least. It’s Actually Mexican owned and overall good taste. Price is higher than usual but once again I understand due to location but at least it tastes great and the portions are not bad. Seems more family Owned and operated so service is a little slower then normal but idc about that I’m there for food and I understand now a days things will Be slower due to Lack of employees in the business. I really really enjoyed the fish tacos and would Highly recommend them the shrimp is great too but be warned super spicyyyy.

Mega delicious tacos! Very fresh and authentic. The birria tacos with the consomme for dipping were indescribably good. We are already looking forward to our further visits.

There is laughter and the staff is really very friendly. The food is sensational. I can only recommend Tacos Del Mar Gobernador. There are also fries and quesadillas on site. I even really liked the karaoke. I will definitely eat here more often because of the atmosphere and the great strawberry margaritas, thank you ❤️‍🔥

Today was my first time eating at this restaurant. The food is super delicious and the stuff was amazing, friendly and welcoming 🤗. The atmosphere makes you feel at home. 10/10 Birria tacos 🌮

Me and my two friends ordered food for almost a hundred euros. The portions and the taste do not match the prices at all. The fries in the burritos were soft and the burrito itself was tasteless. Nachos were hard and not seasoned, and the guacamole also tasted like nothing. All in all, the price-performance ratio is not right.

What a great place to eat authentic Mexican food in Germany! I ordered a burrito and not only was it the best burrito I’ve had since coming to Germany, it’s the best one I have ever eaten. The guacamole is fresh and delicious and the meat cooked to perfection. If you’re in town you have to try this place.

After visiting Mexican places all over Germany I can state, El Kaiser is the best I have ever had! Great food, handsome portions and lovely staff. I truly recommend it to anyone around Nuremberg.

The food itself was delicious, but it was followed by food poisoning... My boyfriend and I both lay flat for several days and there's no way we caught it somewhere else. Unfortunately, a friend and her family had the same experience, unfortunately I only found out about it afterwards. I definitely don't want to scare away customers or spoil business for the operator, but rather I want to make the operator aware that something may be spoiled in their food range and that this should perhaps be checked and improved.

We have fought in worse places, prices not cheap, food could be better, nothing out of this world. I'm very sorry, I know that in gastronomy there is a lot of work and very little remuneration but this restaurant is not for me.

We found it based on Google reviews and were not disappointed. One of the few places that call themselves Mexican and do not serve store-bought nachos, only homemade ones. Real street food - fast and friendly service, dishes served very quickly. Fresh and tasty. Consider adding a small portion of salad to your dishes, such as tomato, cucumber, parsley sprinkled with lime.

I was here a few days ago. We really enjoyed it, the tacos were delicious as always! 😋 But the margarita wore off a bit and was more watery compared to before.

Growing up in San Diego, I'd give it a four. The fact that these were the best Baja Style Fish Tacos since I've been home... Amigos, if you need that Mexican food fix, this is the place!

The food is really okay, but it has happened several times now that if you don't eat on site, you only get half of your order delivered. There was simply no availability by telephone afterwards. (Which is a shame for two people who want to be fed)

We went to this place to see the comedian show. All good, but I found the drink prices a bit expensive, especially the water.

Apologies for the late reply! A friend and I were at the "Kaiser" more than a year ago now. We both used to live in Mexico and therefore know the “real” Mexican cuisine. And that's why we were so happy and almost melancholic, because the place is really a small Mexican place in Germany. The food is great, the service is super authentic and overall we had an unforgettable evening! Thanks for that! So if you're looking for authentic Mexican food, you'll find it here!

The food was extremely good and authentic, the restaurant is small and cute, definitely make a reservation on the weekends. the service was fine, they didn’t speak a lot of german or english but all in all it was great. It’s a little bit expensive but it probably is the only authentic place in nuremberg so it makes sense.

FINALLY A TACO PLACE THAT IS GOOD!

This was our first time at El Kaiser. From the outside, nothing special or outstanding. The service is very attentive, as it should be. The location and the ambience are quite simple but the food is absolutely amazing. We had various tacos with beef, shrimp and chicken. All tasted excellent in their own way with fresh ingredients. A little spicier, a little more neutral. Personally, I liked the tacos with shrimp the best because I'm a big shrimp fan. 🦐 The price is OK. Parking spaces are quite difficult to find in a residential area. We'll definitely be back! 🤩

Staff shortage + Over booking tables maybe not the best idea. Kinda sad that multiple angry customers left the dining area due to no one attending them. Tacos were good, but pricey for three tacos.

Very good tacos but small portions and very overpriced

The store is no longer directly in the city center where the most visited walkways are, but south of the train station on a smaller street. The owner (presumably) is very friendly and in a good mood, singing along to the Mexican songs that echo through the dining room at a decent volume. When you enter the shop you immediately notice the smell of corn tortillas. Very good, because that's how it has to be. Wheat has no place in tacos. The decoration consists of colorful garlands on the ceiling and a huge Mexican flag. Feels authentic. We ordered tacos and Mexican soda. The tacos were okay but there is still a lot of room for improvement here. Unfortunately, El Kaiser loses out compared to the Regensburg Mexican “Guacamole”. The price is therefore a bit too expensive for this level.

No recommendation. Slow or overwhelmed service. Overpriced and bad tacos that are not even remotely original and you can only choose one type. The cactus nachos were just tasteless. The hot sauces are okay, but unfortunately there are two too few to choose from. There is no draft beer and instead of the beer I ordered I was simply given a Corona without any comment. Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended.

The Mexican restaurant has okay tacos, but could use a little more spice. But the price is right for what you get. It's a bit cramped inside, with chairs and tables fairly close together. The employees are nice, but unfortunately they forgot the menus and served us a little late. 🌮🇲🇽😐🍽️
