Taco Loco in Köln

Das Ambiente ist eher rustikal. Eventuell ist es nicht Jedermanns Geschmack. Persönlich finde ich es absolut in Ordnung.

Taco Loco ist für mich eines der besten mexikanischen Restaurants in Köln! Die Speisen sind frisch, authentisch und voller Geschmack. Besonders die Tacos, Burritos und hausgemachten Salsas haben mich begeistert, man merkt sofort, dass hier viel Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und lädt zum Verweilen ein, während das freundliche und aufmerksame Personal dafür sorgt, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Die Portionen sind großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Wer echte mexikanische Küche in Köln genießen möchte, sollte Taco Loco unbedingt besuchen. Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann das Restaurant jedem wärmstens empfehlen!

Alles war gut, aber wir hatten den Eindruck, dass die Authentizität der mexikanischen Küche etwas verloren gegangen war. Die Gerichte schmeckten jetzt eher europäisch.

Trotz 38c und voller Hütte wegen dem Konzert waren die KellnerInnen super freundlich & schnell und es lief schon Helene-Musik zur Einstimmung :-)

Na ja...eigentlich wollten wir woanders essen aber haben dort keinen Tisch mehr bekommen. Also zum Mexikaner. Die einladende Terrasse, die reichhaltige Speise- und Getränkeauswahl und der sehr nette Service machten uns erwartungsfroh. Die Drinks waren noch okay aber das Essen war sehr enttäuschend. Überhaupt kein Mexican-Flavour, null Gewürze oder irgendeine besondere Note. Stattdessen alles wie in den frühen 80ern mit Käse überbacken. Das Fleisch in den Burritos war auch nicht der Hit. Schade eigentlich...das geht auf jeden Fall besser...🙄

Vor dem Besuch des Pokalfinale der Frauen wollten wir, 4 Personen, noch etwas essen. Wir waren positiv überrascht von der reichhaltigen Speisekarte. Obwohl im Lokal sehr viele Gäste waren bekamen wir einen schönen Sitzplatz im Wintergarten. Eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Bedienung nahm unsere Bestellung auf. Das bestellte Essen kam schnell und war sehr schmackhaft. Beim nächsten Besuch in Köln werden wir gern wieder dort essen. 4 Sterne plus!

Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Top Service der Bedienung! Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Kurzum wir waren sehr zufrieden!!

Nee, einfach nee. Essen: Das "Dry aged" beim Basic Burger steht wohl eher für Tiefkühlpatty. Generell wirkte der Rest auch eher nach Fertigfraß. Der Käse auf dem Patty war nicht einmal geschmolzen. Service: Die meiste Zeit sitzt man vor einem leeren Glas. Eine Kellnerin flirtete lieber mit einem Herrentisch als weitere Gäste zu bedienen. An diesem Tisch wurde bei jedem Teller/Glas noch ein kleiner Plausch gehalten und gescherzt, am nächsten Tisch wurden Teller kommentarlos abgestellt. War jedenfalls sehr interessant zu beobachten. Ambiente: Meiner Meinung nach etwas heruntergekommen. Die Flecken an der Wand laden jedenfalls nicht wirklich zum essen ein.

Immer gute Qualität & freundlicher Service.

Ich bin wirklich enttäuscht von meinem Besuch in diesem Laden. Der Service war von Anfang an unfreundlich und desinteressiert. Obwohl draußen Sitzplätze vorhanden sind, wurde mir gesagt, dass ich nicht bedient werde und mein Essen selbst holen soll – was bei einem Gastronomiebetrieb absolut unangebracht ist. Besonders schockierend fand ich jedoch eine Aussage des Personals bezüglich der Heizstrahler im Außenbereich. Auf meine Nachfrage hin wurde sinngemäß gesagt, dass diese „nicht für Ausländer angemacht werden“. Eine solche Bemerkung ist nicht nur respektlos, sondern auch inakzeptabel und diskriminierend. Insgesamt hatte ich den Eindruck, dass Gäste hier nicht willkommen sind. Kundenservice, Freundlichkeit und ein respektvoller Umgang sollten selbstverständlich sein – hier habe ich leider das Gegenteil erlebt. Ich kann diesen Laden daher nicht empfehlen.

Einen super Abend hier verbracht. Angelina ist die Mitarbeiterin des Jahres und muss zwingend mehr Gehalt bekommen. Wir kommen wieder! Das ist ein Versprechen, keine blinde Drohung.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tolles mexikanisches Restaurant mit herzlichem Service und hervorragendem Essen Während unseres Aufenthalts in Köln – wir waren am Abend auf einem Konzert – sind meine Tochter und ich spontan in dieses mexikanische Restaurant eingekehrt. Schon beim Betreten fiel uns sofort die angenehm rustikale und sehr einladende Atmosphäre auf. Der vordere Bereich, in dem wir saßen (direkt am Eingang an einem Tisch nahe der Bar), war liebevoll dekoriert und wirkte gemütlich und authentisch. Die Dekoration war wirklich süß gestaltet und passt sehr gut zum mexikanischen Stil des Restaurants. Von außen wirkt das Gebäude recht groß – wir selbst waren allerdings nur im vorderen Bereich. Service – außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam Wir wurden von Anfang an sehr herzlich empfangen. Besonders positiv ist uns eine junge blonde Kellnerin aufgefallen, die zusammen mit einem Kollegen im Service gearbeitet hat. Die junge blonde Frau erwähnte nebenbei, dass sie das Bestellgerät erst seit Kurzem eigenständig nutzt und noch dabei ist, sich daran zu gewöhnen. Dafür hat sie ihre Aufgabe wirklich souverän, freundlich und sehr professionell gemeistert. Sie war aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und hat zwischendurch nachgefragt, ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit ist. Man hat gemerkt, dass sie sich große Mühe gibt und mit viel Freundlichkeit arbeitet. Essen – frisch, lecker und großzügige Portionen Die Küche bietet eine Auswahl an mexikanischen Gerichten. Meine Tochter hatte Chicken Wings mit einer Ofenkartoffel und Sour Cream und dazu zwei Cola – ihr hat es hervorragend geschmeckt. Ich selbst habe ebenfalls Chicken Wings bestellt und zusätzlich einen frischen Salat mit Lachs, Zwiebeln und Garnelen. Zu Beginn habe ich mir einen Cocktail und ein Heineken bestellt. Zuerst habe ich den Cocktail getrunken und anschließend das Heineken zum Essen. Die Portionen waren wirklich sehr großzügig. Tatsächlich war es so viel, dass ich nicht alles geschafft habe – sogar ein paar Garnelen sowie etwas vom Salat und Lachs mussten übrig bleiben. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Für die Qualität, die Portionen und den freundlichen Service ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut fair und sehr gut. Speisekarte Die Speisekarte mit den mexikanischen Gerichten kann man auch auf der Website des Restaurants einsehen, was sehr praktisch ist, wenn man sich vorab einen Überblick verschaffen möchte. Fazit Sollten wir wieder einmal in Köln sein – was durchaus passieren kann, da wir dort schon zum zweiten Mal für ein Konzert waren – würden wir definitiv wieder hier essen gehen. Der Besuch war rundum gelungen: leckeres Essen, gemütliche Atmosphäre und ein Service, der in Erinnerung bleibt. 📸 Fotos und ein Video vom vorderen Bereich des Restaurants lade ich ebenfalls hoch. Klare Empfehlung – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Taco loco ist ein wirklich erstaunlich guter mexikanischer Burger Laden - die Musik ist mir allerdings oftmals ein wenig zu laut

Sehr leckeres Essen, sehr große Portionen, nette Pub-Atmosphäre. Allerdings an den Tischen nahe der Fenster im Winter ziemlich zügig.

Mir gefällt die Atmosphäre hier sehr. Ich habe ein paar Coronas genossen, aber die Fahitas waren mir zu fettig. Ich hoffe, sie lesen meine Bewertung und nehmen sich das zu Herzen. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn sie wachsen und das beste mexikanische Essen der Stadt servieren.

Leckere Spare Ribs gehen da immer. Die Burger sind auch Klasse. Nur nicht hingehen wenn der FC spielt. Überfüllungsgefahr!

Das Essen ist fantastisch! Die Preise sind sehr angemessen, vor allem angesichts der großzügigen Portionen. Eine sehr herzliche und familiäre Atmosphäre mit hervorragendem Service. Dies ist einer meiner Lieblingsorte in Nordrhein-Westfalen!

Netts mexikanisches Restaurant/Bar. Essen ist ganz gut, Getränke sind bzgl. Alkoholanteil sehr schlaff. Happy Our sind nur 1,5 oder 2 Euro günstiger als normal. Alles im allem ganz Nett.

Sieht toll aus, aber schmeckt nicht sonderlich besonders. Ist einen Besuch wert, aber ist nicht wirklich wiederholungsbedürftig. Zu der bestellten Bruscetta (wo Tomatenstücke drauf sind) kamen keine Teller mit, weswegen alles auf den Tisch/ auf die Kleidung gefallen ist. Ebenfalls sahen die Tacos nach mehr aus, als sie wirklich waren. Die Garnelen/ das Hühnchen oder Pulled Pork waren lecker, jedoch war sonst nur billiger Salat drauf und überall war dieselbe Soße.

Bester Caipirinha, lecker Essen und furchtbar nettes Personal! Wir sind nach Erftstadt umgezogen aber dem Taco Loco auf der Aachener Str. bleiben wir treu ❤️

We had reserved a table at Taco Loco Müngersdorf two days before. When we arrived, however, the restaurant was completely packed – mostly with very drunk football fans. The atmosphere was extremely loud and chaotic, more like a bar than a restaurant. When we told the waitress that we had a reservation, she was visibly surprised – apparently, there were no tables available. She wanted to save us a seat, but given the enormous noise and the hectic atmosphere, we didn't feel like staying there. We left disappointed and annoyed. It was especially unfortunate, as we had traveled all the way there and were really looking forward to the evening. Unfortunately, reservations don't seem to be reliable here.

Our food order was declined, even though it was easy to order a simple side of fries without a steak. The cocktails were also, unfortunately, only average. Service was practically nonexistent; four waitresses repeatedly forgot about us. The ice in our wine bottle wasn't refreshed; the water just ran out. One waitress even broke a glass at the table and didn't apologize. The ambiance was also nonexistent... The music was very quiet, so we asked for it to be turned up a bit. The music was turned up louder and then 2 minutes later, it was turned off completely. After an hour and a half, it was turned back on and sad love songs started playing. When you go out to eat, you have a happy, festive atmosphere. Here in the restaurant, I only see long faces; apparently, I'm not the only one. This was my first and last time. I'm used to a completely different quality from Tacco Loco...

Unfortunately, apart from the meat and tomatoes, nothing in the burrito was as advertised. The food is truly disappointing. If you have the opportunity, you should always make the trip to Cafe Especial in Deutz (it's 10 times better).

Well, I have to say, unfortunately, that I didn't like the food at all. The burrito consisted of nothing but stale beans and tasted like beans. I liked the other Mexican restaurants in Cologne much better, and the prices were also very high for the quality. Contrary to the other comments, however, I have to say that the food came very quickly and we didn't have to wait long. The servers were nice, too. We won't be coming back, though, because it simply didn't taste good and was way too expensive.

If you're hungry, don't go there. I waited 1.5 hours for my burrito, which ultimately wasn't warm and didn't taste very good. While my friends' food was being served, I still had to wait at least 30-40 minutes. When I was paying, I asked how it was possible that my friends had already finished eating and my food hadn't even been served. I was told that the kitchen was very slow.

We come back every now and then... we've always received friendly service! The cocktails are delicious and the food is excellent. We often order the "House Sampler" appetizer as our main course :) Highly recommended :)

Nice restaurant and good connections

I was there on Saturday when FC played. You should make a reservation, otherwise you'll have to be lucky to get a spot. Despite being busy, the staff is quick and friendly.

During my last visit I noticed how the Apollinaris water bottles were filled with the Kraneberger and were served to the tables again.

Plate was dirty, burger/bun was dry. The sauce provided is not for everyone.

Food is delicious. New staff is not possible! Neither a friendly hello, nor a how did you like it or a friendly smile (blonde, petite, in her 20s). A female waiter (long brunette hair with glasses) didn't want to take the order because her colleague was taking a break (she had just received a big plate of food). The store wasn't even full!!!! Shameless, next time I'll think twice before doing that to myself.

If I could I wouldn't have given a star. Roasted onions instead of crispy (as mentioned in the menu) unfortunately more than 1 day old, cold, nothing tastes good. To charge €17.50 for this is pure impudence. Preparing tacos doesn't mean boiling chicken in water and serving it with old, but really extremely old, chicken. Pineapple pieces with mold for cocktails... keep it up if you don't care about keeping your guests happy and serving good food. ;) Never again .

- The food tasted like I made it myself. - The beef* was unfortunately very tough, and one piece had a chewy consistency. Service was nice, but we waited 20 minutes for another three small flatbreads for dipping.

The selection on the menu is great, I also liked the fajita idea, there is enough for vegetarians. The staff was also very friendly. I wasn't very convinced by the ambience, it seemed as if a little carelessly Mexican elements (a sombrero on the wall, plastic cacti on the tables) had been packed into a sports bar. Unfortunately, I didn't know beforehand that football was broadcast here with loud sound, which dampened the mood at the table. That's why I probably wouldn't come again. But well, there is a restaurant near the stadium. The food and drinks were delicious, except for the nachos, which unfortunately only tasted like cardboard.

Waited 30 minutes for drinks and then over an hour for food. All dishes except one were served. The missing dish was no longer there and they notice something like that very late. When everyone else was already finished, one dish was submitted later, which was of course rejected. Then another dish came as a replacement, which was also rejected because all the others were already finished. There was no apology, let alone a discount given. Instead, you got the cheeky answer that others had to wait too. The request as to whether the operations manager could be spoken to was also answered in the negative. Staff were completely overwhelmed and delivered completely haphazardly. There is no need to be polite where walk-in customers are the main source of income. If you want to be the kind of customer who is supposed to sit down and then keep his mouth shut, you will be well served here.

Were there with 5 people, the service took forever. We waited over an hour for food, sometimes something was missing, one person didn't get his food at all because after an hour they realized they didn't have it anymore. The French Frise I ordered with my dry chicken wings didn't come either. So absolutely not recommended and then not even giving a discount very outrageous, not recommended on my part. If you were confronted with the idea that you wanted to speak to the managing director or someone who was responsible, no one would be there. 0 out of 5 stars.

There was no goodwill, we waited an hour for the food. When the food finally came it was missing a complete meal and something simple like fries. To then be told the last meal is no longer available. When paying you even had to make sure to pay for the food you didn't receive. A goodwill discount was simply rejected for the poor service. Were the first and last people in the restaurant.

Went there for dinner yesterday. Amazingly delicious steak surf and turf. I'm an absolute steak critic. This was a very perfectly grilled steak for a long time. Medium rare to the point. Tacos and enchiladas were super tasty, not to mention the cocktails. Her Everything just fits. Service, food, drink. Mittmerweiler is our favorite/regular restaurant

Pleasant nice employees. You will be greeted in a friendly manner. There was no México feeling in the store. More of a touch of Mexico. The food was delivered quickly and was a decent portion size. However, nothing was spicy, except maybe the jalapenos. But it still tasted good

We booked for a lot of people, the tables were separate so the waiters thought we didn't belong together. So we could forget about eating at the same time. The food is not outstanding. If you can't find anything, there's only a small portion of French Fries. This is really a joke. Barrel shower comes in a plastic glass and the nice smell of toilet sometimes comes through. I won't come back again.
