The food is amazing, and it is now my new favorite Indian restaurant in Düsseldorf! One of the best Indian restaurants in Düsseldorf! The food is quite authentic and moderately priced. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The wait time is about 30 minutes, but it's worth it. The portion size is plenty (or a little more) for one person, and it's much better than what is delivered to you. The food is spicy!!! But tastes good! I would definitely go again!👍👍

It is one of the best Indian restaurants in Dusseldorf. Their Biryanis are really good. Lassies (yoghut drink) and starters are also yumm. Price is quite reasonable.

Rating five stars as it's the best curry I've had in Düsseldorf, well Germany since I moved here from the UK. We had the Samosa, Chili Paneer, Lamb Rogan Josh and Dahl Makahni, and it was all delicious. My one slight disappointment was the thickness of the naan bread, although delicious I do like them to be a bit more pillowy. Im any case we will definitely be returning as I really want to try the biriyani.

Never expected that the Chicken Dumm Biryani will have a big quantity that you will feel soo full after having it. Taste was fine and affordable price. Loved it!!

So today we went to svaad with my in laws FROM India.. We ordered dum briyani which was good and I ordered choke bhature for me.. That was not at all good I started having stomachache no clue. May be oil Was not good as bhatura was too too oily.

We ordered Palak paneer and Paneer butter masala, both were tasty but so so spicy! Even for me who tolerates a lot of spiciness it was a bit much. Sadly that's the only reason to order from another place from now on.

Traditional Indian food. Very flavorful. I recommend ordering the super delicious Mango Lassi, as some of the dishes are spicier than in other Indian restaurants. But that probably speaks for the fact that so many Indians visit this restaurant 😊 Service is on point and very accommodating. The second visit was not disappointing either.

We visited Svaad for the third time on Sunday and, as always, were very satisfied. It was pretty busy but we managed to get a table even without a reservation. There is also a large selection of vegetarian dishes. The portions are okay, we like to order naan bread and a mango lassi with it.

Went in search of authentic Indian biriyani and we totally loved the restaurant. Unfortunately on the day we went, we couldn’t get goat biriyani, but every single dish (chicken biriyani, chicken starters, paneer curry for my little one) we ordered was remarkably good. If such restaurants come up in South-West (something like Stuttgart) that would be great. The staff members were kind too (we liked our interaction with Saravanan). Kudos.

Spontaneously visited the restaurant with 13 people and everything went great. We got a table straight away and got drinks early. Food was super delicious. If I'm in Düsseldorf again, I'll come here again.

I have only tried the chicken dum biryani here as of now, and it was fabulous. The biryani was packed with flavour and the meat was tender and succulent. The portion size is almost too much for one person, just the way they do it in India. The staff were extremely friendly and the service in general was very prompt. I will be back to try out other dishes, but the first visit has left me thoroughly impressed.

This place is probably one of the best Indian restaurant in the city. I’m not an expert of Indian food but I love what I ate. The service was excellent, they helped us a lot to choose and to understand more of the food. We even order some more to take away. We will coming here often!

Best Hyderabadi biryani out of Hyderabad (including India). Chicken and lamb biryani is ultimate but Vegetarian biryani is for some reason always over the top spicy which kills the rest of the flavors. I have tried all the biryanis from them but only the veg biryani is something I don't recommend. The flavour of veg biryani is very good and really reminds you of Hyderabad but that's only until 2 spoons. The moment you start enjoying the biryani, the spice hits you with a hammer and then you don't enjoy the biryani but only keep sipping water or cola. I highly recommend the chef to really reduce the spicy level of veg biryani. Because since last year, every time I ordered veg biryani I have struggled to finish it only because of spice level. Please bring down the heat of veg biryani to the chicken level and the vegetarians will also be able to enjoy real taste of biryani. Don't take revenge from veg people for eating veg biryani (biryani is never supposed to be veg. It's pulao).

Nice, modern restaurant. We had chicken and lamb korma and although I've been to a few Indian restaurants I didn't recognize the korma as such. It wasn't sweet and mild at all but very spicy and the coconut note was missing along with the raisins. So either it was too authentic for my palate or it was off topic. I can't assess that. However, if you can hardly tolerate spiciness, you should be warned that it can also be found in extremely mild dishes. Unfortunately there was no (as I thought was typical) yogi tea, i.e. a spiced tea made from cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cardamom and pepper, which is usually served with milk and honey. Update: I was in India and I can say that this is surprisingly close to the original. The other restaurants simply sell very mild dishes adapted to European palates. Unfortunately, I don't understand why there isn't tea because it's common everywhere in India.

Once upon a time, this used to be one of our favourite places to order food. Extremely disappointed and sad that the quality of the food is no longer good. Why do you'll have to make your food so spicy that you almost want to kill your customers of the spice level. I usually like spicy food but this is an untolerable spice level that can cause customers to fall sick. Hoping to see the old svaad back!

Tasty food, great ambience, friendly staff! But what really makes this place stand out is that the dishes are served with just the right level of spice. Make sure to ask for the indian pickles (also known as achar) since it is not listed on the menu. As a plus, you can also watch the football matches there!

Vegetarian Food tastes average. Gobi 65 was way too salty and the plate had only maida/flour pieces. Cauliflower was sparsely found.

I asked the food don't spicy and bring me the food 2 times spicy. The food of my cousin was very spicy too and she can't eat. I think whit out nothing of spicy will be delicious. It is not optional the spicy bring so from the kitchen. I asked for the food without any spice and they brought it very spicy, they took it away and brought it back to me spicy. My cousin couldn't eat her plate because it was so spicy. It would have been delicious but not spicy 🌶️

Svaad is a restaurant anyone should have visited at least once in their life! North and South Indian dishes are served in a welcoming atmosphere and never disappoint. Svaad is definitely the best address for Indian food in NRW!

I think this is the best Indian food I have had in Germany. It’s just as good as any Indian restaurant in India.

We spontaneously ate in this restaurant on a Saturday evening during a short vacation in Düsseldorf and were totally thrilled! We didn't have a reservation and were very lucky to arrive before the big evening rush. From around 6:30 p.m. the restaurant began to fill up rapidly. What was remarkable was that three quarters of the guests were Indians speaks for the good, local cuisine. Conclusion - highly recommended! Be sure to reserve!

Authentic Indian restaurant In Germany I ever tried. My 2nd visit to Düsseldorf, the quality is highly maintained. I highly recommend Gobi 65 which is a must try and a show stopper.

The vepudu tastes more like north Indian curry than the curry from Andhra. Naan was good. Was also disappointed with the gongura chicken as we ordered with bone and they have boneless.

Loved Chole bhature and gobi manchurian😍 Highly recommended. Chicken starters and fried rice must try If you want to try biryani, go before evening. Generally it gets over in the evening.

Yesterday 17Apr.lunch time. Catatrophal Food..Veg Chilli Paneer extremely salty. Otherwise no Lassi available, yes only Mango lassi, Reasons were given that, No staff to make plain lassi. . No Zero cola, no alcohol free beer, ...... High and don't care attitude,service , body language of Walter, while taking order. .with 2 only tables occupied the guy wants us to hurry up ,mind you it was. 12.30 PM , restaurant closes again maybe at 3 pm. .. Guest WC extremely dirty with remnants of excreta, definitely with no guest at that time, could be one of the team .. Perfect case for Gesundheitamt inspection. .. Disappointing as in past have had, Excellent food,friendly welcoming service, ALL THINGS OF PAST. Hope for betterment.

Amazing! So far, my favourite Indian restaurant in Düsseldorf. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Now the food: wow! Everything that I ordered was delicious and full of flavour. The portion sizes are very generous and the prices are unbeatable. Do yourself a favour and order the brownie sizzler to end off your meal - it’s so worth it! I can’t wait to come back and try more food.👍🏼

I used to be huge fan of Svaad hyderabadi chicken biryani and have it at least once a week. I used to promote the dish within my circle but recently the taste deteriorated and the quantity/size of chicken too. When i keep calm and ordered Chicken Majestic(starter) to have it with biryani, it came with good amount of gravy 😉 Probably, it's not a good idea to come here anymore!!!
