Yes, I can recommend this place. Friendly service, very attentive to guests, very tasty food, lots of choice, albeit small portions (you order five dishes per "round" (if there are two of you)) and try your way through the menu. After about five rounds, you've already eaten so much that you could be "rolled out." A very interesting concept; you can try many Japanese dishes. Definitely an experience!

Some of the food was cold. There was no personal contact between guests and hosts. After being assigned a table, the food and drinks ordered via the app were hastily placed on the table one after the other in a random order, without any commentary.

The food is incredibly delicious, and the service is simply fantastic. Arman and Salar, in particular, were very kind and respectful. We'll be back again

A very nice place with a unique concept where you choose your dishes in a fun, game-like way. The staff were excellent, especially Noor, who was kind and helpful. There’s a lot to choose from, particularly if you’re into sushi and non-vegetarian dishes. If you’re in Köln, I highly recommend giving it a try!

This was my first time at Okinii Cologne, and I can't say enough about it. The selection is huge, and the food tastes delicious. I also have nothing but positive things to say about the service; everyone who served us there was extremely friendly, especially the waiter, Arman, and everything was served quickly. Two thumbs up. I will definitely eat there again and recommend it to everyone.

Of course this is big restaurant and the kitchen also but I think there is a big problem about the workers and service. They have robots that is really nice to see. But I don't know why foods are coming too late that is very annoying. I will not come here anymore.

Many thanks to the young waiter who tried very hard to remedy the disastrous situation in the restaurant, but unfortunately last night the situation got out of control. The service was very bad. Unfortunately, management has been slacking recently. At Okinii Cologne we have to look for alternatives at the same price that offer better service and better quality. The food came half an hour late. The drinks didn't come, even though we asked several waiters and waitress for them, they weren't served until 40 minutes later. The table was only cleared when we asked service. The neighboring tables were also upset about the poor service.

Unfortunately I didn't like it here. Price performance is not right, the food was cold, dry and bland. The service was stressful and I sometimes waited 15 minutes for my 5 pieces of sushi only for them to be placed on the other side of the table as I walked past. Yes, the store was relatively full (I don't know why), but it was that way the last 3 days I walked past. The service needs to be better planned. Neither the food nor the service has anything to do with the experience of Japan. Very unfortunate. Ambience is ok for such a big store. A bit noisy and at the high tables you won't fit into the chairs if you're a little taller 🙄 but what should have put me off are the cheap disposable chopsticks that are left at the seats. In the future, this will be an indicator for me of how much quality a restaurant is run with. You don't eat good sushi with cheap, fibrous wood.

A very bad evening today at Okinii Cologne. The food came very late, the table wasn't cleared at all, and some parts were missing. Drinks came very late. Although the young waiter tried to improve the situation, unfortunately it didn't go well. Only two stars because the waiter asked us to rate the restaurant.

Poor quality food. We had stomach aches afterward. Not recommended. Just disappointed. The food wasn't fresh. The shrimp smelled. The tuna was from a can. The salad was from a bag.

Disappointing experience at Okini Cologne I recently visited Okini Cologne with two friends and unfortunately our visit was anything but pleasant. The food we were served was often cold and did not meet our expectations. We were looking forward to a delicious meal, but the quality left a lot to be desired. But the worst came the next day: all three of us had severe diarrhea and stomach pain. It's really unfortunate that we had to have such a negative experience. I therefore cannot recommend the restaurant as the health and well-being of the guests should come first. I hope that Okini Cologne will work on the quality of its food in the future so that other guests don't have to have the same experience.

No, I wouldn't recommend it. I don't go there anymore either. The service was underground. First we waited at the entrance for 10 minutes until someone came, even though the conditions had passed us twice. Then we waited at the table for 30 minutes. The ordering process is also unnecessarily complicated. Food is okay, but doesn't justify the high price. P.S. No, the restaurant wasn't full to justify such waiting times.

I always enjoy visiting the Okinii in Cologne again and again. The food tastes very good and the atmosphere is great and matches the food very well. The staff is always friendly and the service is good. Only when ordering the rounds is it sometimes confusing when a few items (I assume based on demand or preparation) are only delivered 2-3 rounds later.

A great birthday experience for my wife was a great and unforgettable experience. My wishes when making the reservation were exceeded by my expectations. Seeing my wife's joy and smile was an absolutely amazing feeling when the Okinii team prepared the happy birthday song and a great drink in the restaurant. The whole restaurant also took part and some guests also personally congratulated. Thanks to Team Okinii

0 stars! The all-you-can-eat experience here was an absolute failure. For €75 we received cold, inedible food. The noori leaves were particularly bad - they were so tough that they stuck in your mouth like chewing gum because they had obviously been sitting for hours. After sending some dishes back, we didn't receive a fresh replacement, but continued to receive cold and expired food. The service was unfriendly and absolutely not helpful. Despite multiple complaints, there was no response whatsoever. If you would at least expect fresh and warm food for this price, but there doesn't seem to be any quality standards here. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Completely unprofessional and a total disappointment!!!

I can't recommend it to any Suhsi friend. It's definitely mass production. Often very crowded and correspondingly noisy as it is a fairly large restaurant. Unfortunately, you sometimes have to wait a long time for the food you ordered. In my specific case, I also received something wrong, but at least I wasn't charged for it. Nevertheless - the service was unfortunately completely overwhelmed, obviously had no nerves and the food was unfortunately really not good. The sushi from Rewe is comparable, but much cheaper...

We received excellent service yesterday. The service left nothing to be desired, it was perfect! The drinks were very tasty, the sake tasting set is phenomenal, the home made lemonade and latte machiato were also very good. The warm dishes are generally very tasty. We found the sushi selection to be quite limited and the sushi rice fell apart. The reason we probably won't come back is that you don't get a tablet and you have to use your own phone to order.

Disappointing across the board – never again! I was really looking forward to Okini Essen in Cologne, but our visit was a complete disappointment. The food was consistently cold - and I don't just mean sushi, which is supposed to be cold. Even then, the quality was subpar: the rice wasn't cooked properly, the rolls fell apart immediately, and overall it seemed very carelessly prepared. Unfortunately, the warm food didn't save us either. It felt like they had been cooked hours before and then reheated to lukewarm. Nothing was fresh here - you could just taste it. We had at least hoped that the dessert might still be good - but that too was a complete disappointment. The brownies were rock hard, like they were at least a week old. The cheesecake was way too watery, almost no cheese taste, just disgusting. And the fried bananas? They felt like rubber and had absolutely nothing to do with a crunchy, delicious dessert. Overall the food was an absolute disaster and I really don't understand how this restaurant can have so many good reviews. For me it was definitely the first and last time. Absolutely no recommendation!

We had dinner there yesterday after a long time. I used to love it and was really looking forward to it. Very disappointing. The food has worn off. The fried noodles and rice were dry with no taste and salty. The lamb chop was of very poor quality and had a strange taste and the chicken skewers and the roast beef had a very disgusting taste. Sushi was excellent but we won't come back again for such quality and price.

Unfortunately very disappointing. The food came very slowly and, above all, only small individual portions, which meant that we couldn't eat together. In addition, all hot dishes were either cold or lukewarm.

The food had a good selection and if you're a good eater it's very good value for money. However, you have to remember that this is a chain that relies on mass. I don't often write reviews, but this is no different. Service was terribly bad, food was cold, sushi was way too big, not all of the food arrived, etc...

“Okey” and nothing more. You have 8 rounds to order food. Every now and then something gets forgotten. The first rounds go quickly, but from rounds 3-4 we unfortunately had to wait 15-20 minutes for our orders and had to remind the waiter a few times. The sushi is supermarket quality, which is typical for all you can eat. The meat was better. It was all you can eat and a nice evening - but nothing more.

Update 02/24/24 Totally overcrowded!! , the staff couldn't keep up with assigning people to their reserved table, there was an estimated 15m queue outside, but a group without a reservation still got a large table The service was tried hard but totally overwhelmed Despite asking, we didn't get any pickled ginger until the end and some things were missing from the orders that were only delivered when we asked - the lamb still didn't come. The quality of the food itself was still good. We then paid and left. It's a shame that both restaurants - Cologne and Bonn - have deteriorated so much in such a short time. Apparently success went to your head too quickly. We are now looking for alternatives. because for 90 euros!! You can also have a good meal elsewhere. P.S. The underground car park was also completely closed and we had to wait 15 minutes for a free space Previous review: Not the first time, but still good again. Very upscale sushi restaurant. Price performance more than satisfactory. Great ambience. Very varied selection (starters, sushi, meat, fish, vegetables, dessert, unusual dishes and much more) Ordering is done via the table's cell phones (very clear and simple) Arman Akram served us. He was very accommodating and made our stay pleasant. All dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. After collecting our own experiences, we cannot understand the bad reviews. All in all, we can definitely recommend the restaurant.

The food is delicious and you have the first dishes at the table very quickly after ordering. The ordering system is really good, especially for people who are comfortable using their cell phones! However, it is sometimes difficult for older people. I was there with my parents, uncle and aunt. All over 80. That was a challenge but with a little agreement it still worked. Either way. I can recommend the experience!

Everything was actually okay until the end. We had two hours to order and placed our last order (dessert) about 20 minutes before the end. Only it didn't come at first. Even before our order time had expired (and we had our food) we were asked to pay because we needed the table promptly. From then on we were asked every few minutes what was still missing and repeatedly pointed out that we needed the table now. At some point we just left (without the last dessert) which was very unpleasant…. I can understand that you don't want us to sit there forever, but it's not possible to more or less throw us out before the end of the ordering time, not the meal time

Sushi was great, other dishes were also delicious. Taking away dirty plates could have been a bit faster and we should also get clean utensils for dessert. Otherwise, amazing. 9.5/10
