A high-quality yet cozy restaurant in the heart of Winterhude-Süd. From the reservation to the friendly farewell, everything went perfectly! We were even offered a parking space in the underground garage, which was very convenient given the limited parking available nearby. Excellent food, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere. The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable considering the outstanding quality. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back!

The price-performance ratio is spot on. My recommendation: the mixed appetizers (with or without meat) and the octopus. Very clean restrooms. Anyone looking for a flaw here will have to search long and hard.

A lovely evening with truly excellent food. Because it was so nice, 5 stars. We would have appreciated the service; we could have ordered drinks sooner. After the meal, although we were asked if we wanted dessert, no one came by to take more drinks. It's always a bit disappointing when you're left without a drink. We had lunch at Surfen Torf Kitchen in Hamburg and had a truly lovely time. The service was exceptionally warm and welcoming – we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The quality of the ingredients was particularly noteworthy. My only personal suggestion would have been a slightly higher proportion of vegetables and, conversely, less meat and potatoes – then it would have been perfect for me. Apart from that, everything was excellent, and we will definitely be back.

A spontaneous visit on Sunday evening, and what can we say: Amazing! Atmosphere: A super cozy restaurant, furnished with great care and attention to detail! Food/Drink Menu: Small but excellent, there's something for everyone when it comes to fish, meat, and Mediterranean dishes. There's a daily/weekly specials menu. Keep it up! Service: Super attentive, discreetly reserved yet always present and personal, with a real connection to the guests (the chef even served the main course himself!) - that's how service should be! Taste: As we all know, taste is subjective… but we thought it was fantastic! Steaks cooked to perfection, vegetables fresh and crisp, flavorful and beautifully presented, because presentation matters! Conclusion: Almost a hidden gem, we'll be back! :) Note on Parking: There is an underground parking garage, as the restaurant is located in a mixed-use area and parking spaces can be scarce (depending on the time of day).

November 7, 2025 Today we had a perfect lunch with 12 people. The lunch menu had something for everyone at truly reasonable prices. We tried the hake fillet, Duroc pork roulade, zucchini risotto, and Wiener schnitzel. The house Pinot Gris and all the other drinks were also really good. The restaurant is cozy, and the service is very friendly and professional. We will definitely come back. This restaurant changed ownership four years ago. Since then, it has been called SURF 'N TURF KITCHEN. The service is super friendly. The interior is a bit dated, but I always find white tablecloths nice. The terrace is beautiful, by the way. For starters, we had the Surf and Turf Appetizer for Two. It was a diverse selection and a really generous portion. Half of it would have been enough for the two of us as a starter. Our main course, Pasta Truffle, consisted of tagliolini with fresh truffles served in a Parmesan wheel. We were very satisfied and would gladly return. Next time, I'd like to try the meat or fish, and then perhaps I'll add another star.

We've eaten at Surf'N Turf several times, and it's always been very good. Nice atmosphere, great service, and the food is delicious.

I celebrated my birthday belatedly with a small group. My friends only brought a small gift bag, and without any prior arrangement, I was served dessert with fireworks and birthday music. A wonderful surprise that rounded off the evening perfectly. The food was excellent, the portions absolutely adequate. The service was warm, attentive, and very friendly. Overall, a fantastic stay that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

The truffle pasta was very good, but the Parmesan wasn't that strong. I had a lot of truffle on my pasta, my companion not so much. The rhubarb tiramisu tasted only of mascarpone, unfortunately. The pistachio ice cream was okay.

Fantastic as always! My veggie burger was incredibly filling and prepared with so much love – I've never experienced anything like it. No artificial meat patty, but a homemade vegetable patty with fresh lettuce, crunchy cucumbers, plenty of avocado, and other fresh vegetables, all on a crispy burger bun – simply fantastic! The fries were also fantastic, super crispy and homemade. My husband's schnitzel was, as usual, world-class, and all at a really good price. The owners are also super nice and even treated our dog to treats. What more could you want? Absolutely recommend it! :)

The starter plate for two (Mediterranean with scampi, ham, melon, salad, vitello tonnato, etc.) is plentiful and highly recommended. Bread, oil, and a dip are served beforehand. All of our dishes, whether fish, meat, or pasta, are highly recommended. We'll definitely be back. My only criticism is the decor. But that's also a matter of taste! Overrated! We came to the restaurant due to high rating. There are places inside and outside. We chose the place inside. To start with, the restauran is rather expensive. I ordered pasta with fresh chanterelles. 20 euros. It was served in a broth (liquid); the chanterelles looked poor, there were two lonely tomatoes inside as well. I had much better pasta with chanterelles at the same price in the neighbouring restaurant. Just a poor story. We had prawns: there were served in shell and too dry. About 20 euro. The dessert /about 10 euro/ too expensive, the taste was fine. The service is friendly. Well, I was not impressed by this experience.

We were in this location years ago. At that time it was an Italian restaurant. Now there is a different kitchen here with a different concept and of course a new name and different owners. Because of an average rating of 4.8 on Google Maps, I made a reservation here for July 23, 2024. My name was not written down, which suggested that the restaurant would not have that many guests that evening. There were 4 guests in the restaurant when we arrived. We quickly received the menus. There was also a slate with daily specials. The prices are in the higher price segment. We ordered pasta with fresh chanterelles (18.90 €) and shrimps in the pan AHOI (24.90 €), dessert chocolate mishap (9.50 €), 1 scoop of pistachio ice cream (3.50 €), water Aqua Panna (0.25 l = €3.00) and non-alcoholic Budweiser beer (€3.50). The pasta was floating in the water. The chanterelles were clear and not of good quality. We had the comparison to better chanterelles a week earlier in a restaurant in Poelchaukamp. The too small pan with the shrimp and pieces of toasted bread was far too small for the portion of vegetables. There was nothing to cut in it, so I removed the toasted bread from the pan. ( See photo). The toasted bread tasted like fish or shrimp because it was put in the pan. This certainly can't be the right idea. Unfortunately, the 6 shrimps also lacked any spiciness. These were way too dry. You could already tell from the outside. They were badly fried. Since they were all still in their shells, I had to remove them with a knife in the pan. The chocolate malheur dessert was well done, but too expensive for this location (€9.50 for 1 cake with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream). There are also plenty of green plant decorations here. Unfortunately, it is made of PLASTIC and is on and in every corner of the toilet. This destroys any good ambience in a higher-priced restaurant. The presentation of the bill was also somewhat unusual. I was shown the final amount that had already been entered into the card reader. I paid for this with my credit card. Only then did I receive the invoice, which I could only check after payment. WIFI INTERNET is available.

Rabattaktionen werden nicht eingehalten, Reservierungen nicht angenommen. Das Essen ist gut, aber nichts besonderes. Preis/Leistung eher schlecht. Kein Mittagstisch, weil man da ja preislich nicht ordentlich zuschlagen kann.

This restaurant deserves 3 Michelin stars for unique cuisine that is absolutely worth the trip here!! A great general menu and always seasonal dishes on the table. And let me tell you, the plates with the dishes always look really good!! I even like to take a picture of the food here... Vasile, his wife and the entire team there do an excellent job and every time we are there we go home overjoyed!! Also worth mentioning are: The very good sanitary facilities, the tables with the layout and the entire ambience inside and outside, the great huge parasols outside, even two large TVs for e.g. sporting events, the selection of wines and spirits, the ability to customize dishes, ask any question can and get an honest answer and and and.. These are all reasons for me to visit this restaurant again and again!! For this quality of food, service and ambience, every euro is well invested here!! The SURF'N TURF is one of our absolute favorite restaurants and, due to its somewhat hidden location, it is almost an insider tip! The menu is very varied. There will be something for every guest. My personal favorite dishes: Salmon tartare with avocado and mango and the Angus sirloin steak, which is served as tender as a fillet - to the point. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptional service provided by the owner couple and employees. The atmosphere here is very warm and special food requests are happy to be fulfilled. When the temperatures are warm (there are also large umbrellas and heaters), the cozy terrace invites you to linger. Whether on site or take-away - always a pleasure.

We went to Surf & Turf Kitchen last night and I was very positively impressed by the friendly, open and honest manner. In addition to the dishes from the menu, there were other dishes on offer, such as the green asparagus with Serrano ham and Parmesan that we ordered . We also ordered the beef fillet, which was definitely hand-cut. This was great and very good value for money. The main courses were pasta with Italian sausage and a very tender lamb fillet on fresh vegetables. Afterwards we ate the nougat cheesecake. everything was definitely freshly made for us. There was nothing prepared there. As a tip for the shop, I would say lay wooden parquet, the floor is no longer what you think of as beautiful today. I can imagine that in summer you can sit outside very well. The food was a dream, the service was great, we would love to come back.
