Sultan Palace in Hannover

Yesterday, I went to this wonderful restaurant with my family for the first time. All I can say is, it was fantastic! Very friendly and attentive service, a lovely atmosphere, and simply stunningly delicious food! We're already looking forward to our next meal at the Sultan Palace!

Very tasty food and attentive service

There were three of us in the restaurant and we had made a reservation. Luckily, the restaurant (and unfortunately, the lovely terrace) was very busy/full. We would have preferred to sit outside in the nice weather. The chairs inside are very comfortable. It was a bit cramped, but otherwise, the atmosphere was good. We would especially like to highlight the service and the food. The waiters were incredibly friendly and attentive. Empty bottles were immediately cleared from the table. The food was delicious. We found the wait between the starter and the main course pleasant, as the food had time to settle a bit. Both vegetarian and meaty dishes are recommended. Not too spicy, and there's something for everyone. The only drawback is the small drinking bottles (0.2 L for €3.30) – unfortunately, they don't offer any larger soft drinks, so you'll end up spending a lot of money here. But we will be back anyway. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Highly recommended, very tasty and well-seasoned; the cold and warm appetizers are definitely worth trying. For four guests, one cold and one warm appetizer are perfectly sufficient. Place them in the middle of the table and you're good to go. The main course was a plate with four different types of meat, all grilled to perfection. As a side dish, the often-maligned pearl barley with lentils was served. It was very tasty, nutty, and rounded off with butter. It's worth a try; it's worth it.

An unforgettable evening in the Sultan Palace – highly recommended! Yesterday we had dinner at the Sultan Palace in Hanover and were completely thrilled. As soon as you enter the restaurant you can feel the warm atmosphere - stylishly furnished with great attention to detail and a touch of oriental flair. The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. The evening was a real culinary highlight: from the starter to the main course, everything was freshly prepared, tasted excellent and beautifully presented. The portions were so generous that we actually didn't manage to finish it all - and that's saying something! An all-round successful evening with excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the Sultan Palace.

Das Sultan Palace überzeugt mit einem stilvollen, orientalischen Ambiente, das Gäste in die Welt der osmanischen Küche entführt. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll gestaltet, das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Das frisch gebackene Brot und die Vorspeisenteller sind ein echtes Highlight – vielfältig, aromatisch und typisch für die türkische Küche. Das Adana Kebap wurde kross serviert und ist solide, wenn auch nicht herausragend. Das Lammfleisch war bei unserem Besuch zum Teil trocken und zäh. Der Nachtisch, wie etwa Baklava oder Künefe, wurde frisch und sehr heiss serviert. Der türkische Mokka rundete unser Menü authentisch ab und wurde stilvoll serviert. Das Sultan Palace bietet ein besonderes orientalisches Erlebnis mit leckeren Vorspeisen und Brotspezialitäten. Insgesamt ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant für Liebhaber der türkisch-osmanischen Küche, auch wenn nicht jedes Gericht immer perfekt gelingt.

Worst service I've had in a long time had. I recently went to break my fast with three other friends Sultan Palace. We were served super unfriendly after the waiter found out that we were fasting. When we asked whether you could get the soup in half a portion, we were told “everything ends up in the trash anyway”. It's an impertinence for customers to say something like that. Apparently we didn't fit in with the German clientele. Never again.

Success gone to your head?! I was there personally 3 months ago to reserve the "Separee" for a class reunion for 10-12 people. A week before, I called again to confirm the reservation for 10 people. The guests arrived one after the other, requests for drinks were ignored. When there were 8 people there (2 were late), we were greeted in a friendly manner, but the tone was clear and firm. Where the waiting area with a sofa used to be, a table for 10 people was "clamped" right next to the door, which was constantly open, and between the counter and the toilet passage. Everything is more than embarrassing for me as an organizer!! The suspicion also arose that the implementation was planned from the outset when a birthday party came. In addition, the service left a lot to be desired. How can you set up additional places if you don't have enough staff? I had chosen the Sultan, which I have visited very often, specifically because of the separate room, as other guests had often complained about our noise in the past... In the Sultan Palace, guests were always treated in an extremely friendly and courteous manner, which not only added to the ambience, but also to the charm! What a shame! The food was good as always. But since our dog is no longer allowed to come with us, I'm going to look for a new favorite restaurant.

If you like photos, you can dress up in the robes that are hanging ready for you and have your photo taken in the Golden Throne. In summer the terrace invites you to eat. Prices in the middle range which are already close to the upper range. Nevertheless, the price performance for the quality, ambience and service is fully justified. We've been there several times and always go back.

The food was very tasty, especially the meat dishes (very tender meat). The furnishings are very authentic and of high quality. Unfortunately, with this quality and price range, the service was not good. Cutlery was pressed into the hand and not put down. New glasses were brought with each new water bottle, but the old glasses were not cleared away for over an hour. At some point there were 4 of us with over 9 glasses on the table, even though the waiter often walked past us. Otherwise I can recommend the restaurant.

The side dishes were also fresh and tasty, everything prepared with great attention to detail. A special highlight was the service staff in traditional clothes, which gave the whole thing a special authenticity. The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. People regularly asked if everything was OK without seeming intrusive. The atmosphere was beautiful – stylish decoration, a pleasant volume and a very harmonious mood. The music in particular was just right, so you could have a quiet conversation without having to shout at each other, as is the case in many other restaurants. Overall a great experience! Here, eating becomes an experience. The location and atmosphere are special and very cozy. The service is super nice and very attentive. Prices are slightly higher but large portions are served and the food is without exception great. This wasn't our first and definitely not our last visit.

Unfortunately, the name and image with which the restaurant advertises do not correspond to expectations at all. Unfortunately, a huge bar with various types of alcohol and waiters dressed in traditional Ottoman clothing don't go together at all and leave a very bitter, cheeky and sad impression. I'm not against bars being set up in restaurants, but then please don't advertise with Muslim history and tradition and pictures of former sultans/religious rulers! Very disappointing how tradition and values ​​are not respected!

What a lovely evening we had…! Our table was lovingly decorated with rose petals because I had written when making the reservation that we wanted to celebrate the engagement of our son and daughter-in-law. When you enter the restaurant you are in another world. The beautifully detailed furnishings allow you to forget everyday life for a few hours. And then the lovely attentive service that looked after us all evening. The food was delicious as usual. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and would love to come back! We were there on Christmas Eve and unfortunately none of us were convinced. We ordered two cold appetizer plates for 4 people and when they came I almost lost my faith. I expect at least four pieces of cheese and 4 grape leaves on two plates. No, 6 small bowls came with really little content. Price rounded up to €30. I was so perplexed. The food itself was bland and half of my Adana was raw. It's a shame, because we were thrilled a few years ago. We knew that it would cost more here, which is totally fine BUT that didn't work for me at all. Really a shame.

If you want to try a little better Turkish cuisine, this is the place for you! The map is relatively extensive. You can eat your fill just from the numerous appetizers. We chose the meze platter and were able to try some delicacies. The bread that came with it was fresh and warm. The main course was lamb, the meat was really tender and well seasoned. There is a nice selection of vegetarian dishes. The food is served very nicely, the eye can eat along! We should have left out the dessert, it was very tasty but a bit too much and too heavy, baked halva with sesame. The delicious mocha with it was delicious! The service is good, an extra smile would be nice sometimes! The ambience is very pleasant, the many beautiful curtains ensure coziness and, above all, muffled noises. The atmosphere is great and you feel like you have been transported straight to another country. Unfortunately, the team and kitchen are not familiar with gluten-free dishes. Rice and bulgur are equated, bread is served and contamination is ignored. When asked, the chef wanted to prepare everything gluten-free. Unfortunately it is not suitable for people with celiac disease and despite the lovely ambience I will not be able to visit this restaurant again. The team is not informed and the risk of consuming gluten is too great
