The ambiance matches the restaurant's name. Although it was almost full, it was still easy to have a conversation. The meat was delicious. The menu is very extensive, and it takes a while to decide. I would eat here again. Prices are on the higher end – €€-€€€.

A great atmosphere with an attentive team and delicious food.

We had a Christmas party there with 16 people. Everything went perfectly. The staff was very friendly, and the food was amazing. The highlight was definitely the variety of traditional clothing you could wear. Absolutely fantastic. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

We recently visited this restaurant and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was absolutely perfect warm, clean, and very comfortable. The food was super delicious and very well prepared, with flavors that stay with you long after the meal.We also tried on some traditional outfits they offered, and we really enjoyed the experience; it was fun and unique.Definitely a place worth visiting. It was far too cramped, no room for a stroller despite the prior announcement that this was possible. A baby had to be held the entire time, making it impossible to eat, and the atmosphere was awful. There were long waits for both drinks and food. The wrong food was delivered, drinks only arrived after repeated requests, and we were charged twice – unacceptable!

My husband and I went to the Sultan Palace together, and we can only say one thing: we were impressed! Even though it was very busy, we didn't have to wait for our food. The service was excellent! And I've never eaten better meat anywhere else. The food is perfectly seasoned, and the menu leaves nothing to be desired. The staff was very attentive without being intrusive. We've been to several good restaurants, but here the food and service are outstanding. We'd love to come back again and again, and it's a shame we didn't go sooner.

The ambiance is nice, but the space feels far too cramped and is therefore very noisy. The real disappointment, however, lies in the value for money. Compared to similar restaurants, the dishes are significantly overpriced. I went there today full of anticipation, as the first impression was promising – unfortunately, the prices don't live up to expectations. Anyone looking for a truly satisfying meal should probably avoid this restaurant. Paying a lot of money for a small portion simply doesn't make sense to me. There are plenty of other restaurants that offer comparable quality at much fairer prices. Pure disappointment. I would like to reiterate that the sole subject of my review is the value for money. I therefore expressly request that you do not steer the discussion in any other direction.

We went to the Sultan Palace Hannover for a business meeting. The restaurant's decor was truly elegant, the ambiance impressive, and the waiters were extremely friendly and engaging. However, the food was unfortunately far below expectations—not only were the prices exorbitant, but the taste was seriously disappointing. It was just a visual spectacle, but the taste was nonexistent. The venue is beautiful, but the food quality is completely inadequate for a place of this caliber.

The Sultan's Palace impresses with its cozy oriental ambiance and traditionally dressed staff, who are extremely attentive to your meal selection and happy to fulfill your every wish. The menu is very well-balanced and offers cold and warm appetizers, meat and fish dishes, vegetarian dishes, and desserts that are decoratively presented, juicy, and flavorful. The entire restaurant, as well as the outdoor terrace and hygiene rooms, are clean and well-maintained. It is not wheelchair accessible. The restaurant is only accessible via a steep, multi-level external staircase and is located somewhat off the street. A few private parking spaces are available. We parked at the school behind the nearby Rewe supermarket on the weekend.

The restaurant was recommended to me by a Turkish colleague, and it exceeded all expectations. Upon entering, we were immediately struck by the traditionally dressed staff, who fit in like a fairytale in the magnificent, yet not kitschy, ambiance. The friendly greeting made us feel very welcome. The service was attentive from the first minute to the last, without being intrusive. There were eight of us, and we had a beautifully set table that was easy to serve from all sides without feeling like we were in the way. The selection of dishes was a bit overwhelming. Much was unfamiliar and piqued our curiosity. We each had something different, both an appetizer and a main course, and everyone was delighted with their choice. Everything was carefully prepared and very delicious, and the portions were very generous. It was also striking that everyone at the table received their dishes at the same time—a great organization that you don't often find. The dessert menu, like the main menu, included many things we weren't used to, and those who dared to try something new weren't disappointed – so delicious! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly enjoyable and delicious evening.

Great food and a fair waitress service… but… is focused on local market, because it’s not understandable that a restaurant of this level will not accept any other payment than local EC/debit card… and even worst is that the service was speaking to us in English without letting us know in advance or at least make a polite comment about their payment rules…

You receive a warm welcome as soon as you enter; the staff is attentive, friendly, and always helpful. You feel not just like a guest here, but truly welcome. In conclusion: An absolute highlight in Hanover – if you want to experience good food, a magical ambiance, and warm hospitality, the Sultan Palace is the place to be.

A disaster! The meat wasn't cooked through. The pilaf and the rice were disgusting. Not good Turkish cuisine. Once and never again!

For those seeking a pleasant dinner in a high-quality restaurant, this should definitely be their first choice. There's nothing better in Hanover. Prices are reasonable, not exorbitant. Reservations are required, otherwise it's difficult to find a seat. I congratulate and thank the restaurant for the wonderful atmosphere it provided me. It's simply perfect. The touches of Turkish cuisine and Ottoman motifs are a lovely touch.

The taste is okay, but the prices are above average. Service could be improved. We had to wait 40-50 minutes for dessert, and then, when asked, we were told that the kitchen hadn't taken our order yet. We had to wait another 15 minutes and finally we were told that we ordered two things instead of three. This was my fifth time there with my family, and after seeing that some tables were given preferential treatment, I'm considering whether it's worth another visit.

The food and the ambiance are truly highly recommended. The staff were very attentive and even willing to joke around. They initially refused to accept my credit card when billing. It would have been too complicated. The amount was just over €200. I was asked to pay with my debit card. But I didn't want to. Suddenly, it wasn't a problem anymore. When I looked at the bill again at home, an additional scoop of ice cream had been deducted. I can live with that (€1), but given the arguments while paying, I regretted the generous tip.

An exceptional restaurant with traditional oriental/Ottoman cuisine. And the ambiance...somewhere between kitsch and 1001 Nights, including the waiters' outfits :-) I was really impressed. It was only thanks to the "Maschsee Festival" that we immediately got a table for seven on Saturday. I chose "Ispanak" (leaf spinach with onions, etc.) as a starter and, on the recommendation of our friends from Azerbaijan, "Hünkar Begendi" (The Sultan's Delight). And I was delighted, too. This dish probably best represents oriental cuisine, which suited me perfectly. Our food was extremely delicious. Everyone was satisfied and happy, and the price/performance ratio was good. As we left the restaurant later in the evening, it felt a bit like "The Expulsion from the Seraglio." Well, my wife and I will definitely be back.

Yesterday, I went to this wonderful restaurant with my family for the first time. All I can say is, it was fantastic! Very friendly and attentive service, a lovely atmosphere, and simply stunningly delicious food! We're already looking forward to our next meal at the Sultan Palace!

There were three of us in the restaurant and we had made a reservation. Luckily, the restaurant (and unfortunately, the lovely terrace) was very busy/full. We would have preferred to sit outside in the nice weather. The chairs inside are very comfortable. It was a bit cramped, but otherwise, the atmosphere was good. We would especially like to highlight the service and the food. The waiters were incredibly friendly and attentive. Empty bottles were immediately cleared from the table. The food was delicious. We found the wait between the starter and the main course pleasant, as the food had time to settle a bit. Both vegetarian and meaty dishes are recommended. Not too spicy, and there's something for everyone. The only drawback is the small drinking bottles (0.2 L for €3.30) – unfortunately, they don't offer any larger soft drinks, so you'll end up spending a lot of money here. But we will be back anyway. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Highly recommended, very tasty and well-seasoned; the cold and warm appetizers are definitely worth trying. For four guests, one cold and one warm appetizer are perfectly sufficient. Place them in the middle of the table and you're good to go. The main course was a plate with four different types of meat, all grilled to perfection. As a side dish, the often-maligned pearl barley with lentils was served. It was very tasty, nutty, and rounded off with butter. It's worth a try; it's worth it.

As soon as you enter the restaurant you can feel the warm atmosphere - stylishly furnished with great attention to detail and a touch of oriental flair. The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. The evening was a real culinary highlight: from the starter to the main course, everything was freshly prepared, tasted excellent and beautifully presented. The portions were so generous that we actually didn't manage to finish it all - and that's saying something! An all-round successful evening with excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the Sultan Palace.

Das Sultan Palace überzeugt mit einem stilvollen, orientalischen Ambiente, das Gäste in die Welt der osmanischen Küche entführt. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll gestaltet, das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Das frisch gebackene Brot und die Vorspeisenteller sind ein echtes Highlight – vielfältig, aromatisch und typisch für die türkische Küche. Das Adana Kebap wurde kross serviert und ist solide, wenn auch nicht herausragend. Das Lammfleisch war bei unserem Besuch zum Teil trocken und zäh. Der Nachtisch, wie etwa Baklava oder Künefe, wurde frisch und sehr heiss serviert. Der türkische Mokka rundete unser Menü authentisch ab und wurde stilvoll serviert. Das Sultan Palace bietet ein besonderes orientalisches Erlebnis mit leckeren Vorspeisen und Brotspezialitäten. Insgesamt ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant für Liebhaber der türkisch-osmanischen Küche, auch wenn nicht jedes Gericht immer perfekt gelingt.
