The restaurant was recommended to me by a Turkish colleague, and it exceeded all expectations. Upon entering, we were immediately struck by the traditionally dressed staff, who fit in like a fairytale in the magnificent, yet not kitschy, ambiance. The friendly greeting made us feel very welcome. The service was attentive from the first minute to the last, without being intrusive. There were eight of us, and we had a beautifully set table that was easy to serve from all sides without feeling like we were in the way. The selection of dishes was a bit overwhelming. Much was unfamiliar and piqued our curiosity. We each had something different, both an appetizer and a main course, and everyone was delighted with their choice. Everything was carefully prepared and very delicious, and the portions were very generous. It was also striking that everyone at the table received their dishes at the same time—a great organization that you don't often find. The dessert menu, like the main menu, included many things we weren't used to, and those who dared to try something new weren't disappointed – so delicious! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly enjoyable and delicious evening.

Great food and a fair waitress service… but… is focused on local market, because it’s not understandable that a restaurant of this level will not accept any other payment than local EC/debit card… and even worst is that the service was speaking to us in English without letting us know in advance or at least make a polite comment about their payment rules…

A disaster! The meat wasn't cooked through. The pilaf and the rice were disgusting. Not good Turkish cuisine. Once and never again!

This is a superb restaurant where you can dine in a wonderful atmosphere. The food is prepared with exceptional taste. The presentation is impeccable. Every dish here is superb. For those seeking a pleasant dinner in a high-quality restaurant, this should definitely be their first choice. There's nothing better in Hanover. Prices are reasonable, not exorbitant. Reservations are required, otherwise it's difficult to find a seat. I congratulate and thank the restaurant for the wonderful atmosphere it provided me. It's simply perfect. The touches of Turkish cuisine and Ottoman motifs are a lovely touch.

The food and the ambiance are truly highly recommended. The staff were very attentive and even willing to joke around. They initially refused to accept my credit card when billing. It would have been too complicated. The amount was just over €200. I was asked to pay with my debit card. But I didn't want to. Suddenly, it wasn't a problem anymore. When I looked at the bill again at home, an additional scoop of ice cream had been deducted. I can live with that (€1), but given the arguments while paying, I regretted the generous tip.

The taste is okay, but the prices are above average. Service could be improved. We had to wait 40-50 minutes for dessert, and then, when asked, we were told that the kitchen hadn't taken our order yet. We had to wait another 15 minutes and finally we were told that we ordered two things instead of three. This was my fifth time there with my family, and after seeing that some tables were given preferential treatment, I'm considering whether it's worth another visit.

The Sultan's Palace impresses with its cozy oriental ambiance and traditionally dressed staff, who are extremely attentive to your meal selection and happy to fulfill your every wish. The menu is very well-balanced and offers cold and warm appetizers, meat and fish dishes, vegetarian dishes, and desserts that are decoratively presented, juicy, and flavorful. The entire restaurant, as well as the outdoor terrace and hygiene rooms, are clean and well-maintained. It is not wheelchair accessible. The restaurant is only accessible via a steep, multi-level external staircase and is located somewhat off the street. A few private parking spaces are available. We parked at the school behind the nearby Rewe supermarket on the weekend.

An exceptional restaurant with traditional oriental/Ottoman cuisine. And the ambiance...somewhere between kitsch and 1001 Nights, including the waiters' outfits :-) I was really impressed. It was only thanks to the "Maschsee Festival" that we immediately got a table for seven on Saturday. I chose "Ispanak" (leaf spinach with onions, etc.) as a starter and, on the recommendation of our friends from Azerbaijan, "Hünkar Begendi" (The Sultan's Delight). And I was delighted, too. This dish probably best represents oriental cuisine, which suited me perfectly. Our food was extremely delicious. Everyone was satisfied and happy, and the price/performance ratio was good. As we left the restaurant later in the evening, it felt a bit like "The Expulsion from the Seraglio." Well, my wife and I will definitely be back.

Yesterday, I went to this wonderful restaurant with my family for the first time. All I can say is, it was fantastic! Very friendly and attentive service, a lovely atmosphere, and simply stunningly delicious food! We're already looking forward to our next meal at the Sultan Palace!

There were three of us in the restaurant and we had made a reservation. Luckily, the restaurant (and unfortunately, the lovely terrace) was very busy/full. We would have preferred to sit outside in the nice weather. The chairs inside are very comfortable. It was a bit cramped, but otherwise, the atmosphere was good. We would especially like to highlight the service and the food. The waiters were incredibly friendly and attentive. Empty bottles were immediately cleared from the table. The food was delicious. We found the wait between the starter and the main course pleasant, as the food had time to settle a bit. Both vegetarian and meaty dishes are recommended. Not too spicy, and there's something for everyone. The only drawback is the small drinking bottles (0.2 L for €3.30) – unfortunately, they don't offer any larger soft drinks, so you'll end up spending a lot of money here. But we will be back anyway. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Highly recommended, very tasty and well-seasoned; the cold and warm appetizers are definitely worth trying. For four guests, one cold and one warm appetizer are perfectly sufficient. Place them in the middle of the table and you're good to go. The main course was a plate with four different types of meat, all grilled to perfection. As a side dish, the often-maligned pearl barley with lentils was served. It was very tasty, nutty, and rounded off with butter. It's worth a try; it's worth it.

The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. The evening was a real culinary highlight: from the starter to the main course, everything was freshly prepared, tasted excellent and beautifully presented. The portions were so generous that we actually didn't manage to finish it all - and that's saying something! An all-round successful evening with excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the Sultan Palace.

Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll gestaltet, das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Das frisch gebackene Brot und die Vorspeisenteller sind ein echtes Highlight – vielfältig, aromatisch und typisch für die türkische Küche. Das Adana Kebap wurde kross serviert und ist solide, wenn auch nicht herausragend. Das Lammfleisch war bei unserem Besuch zum Teil trocken und zäh. Der Nachtisch, wie etwa Baklava oder Künefe, wurde frisch und sehr heiss serviert. Der türkische Mokka rundete unser Menü authentisch ab und wurde stilvoll serviert. Das Sultan Palace bietet ein besonderes orientalisches Erlebnis mit leckeren Vorspeisen und Brotspezialitäten. Insgesamt ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant für Liebhaber der türkisch-osmanischen Küche, auch wenn nicht jedes Gericht immer perfekt gelingt.

Worst service I've had in a long time had. I recently went to break my fast with three other friends Sultan Palace. We were served super unfriendly after the waiter found out that we were fasting. When we asked whether you could get the soup in half a portion, we were told “everything ends up in the trash anyway”. It's an impertinence for customers to say something like that. Apparently we didn't fit in with the German clientele. Never again.

Success gone to your head?! I was there personally 3 months ago to reserve the "Separee" for a class reunion for 10-12 people. A week before, I called again to confirm the reservation for 10 people. The guests arrived one after the other, requests for drinks were ignored. When there were 8 people there (2 were late), we were greeted in a friendly manner, but the tone was clear and firm. Where the waiting area with a sofa used to be, a table for 10 people was "clamped" right next to the door, which was constantly open, and between the counter and the toilet passage. Everything is more than embarrassing for me as an organizer!! The suspicion also arose that the implementation was planned from the outset when a birthday party came. In addition, the service left a lot to be desired. How can you set up additional places if you don't have enough staff? I had chosen the Sultan, which I have visited very often, specifically because of the separate room, as other guests had often complained about our noise in the past... In the Sultan Palace, guests were always treated in an extremely friendly and courteous manner, which not only added to the ambience, but also to the charm! What a shame! The food was good as always. But since our dog is no longer allowed to come with us, I'm going to look for a new favorite restaurant.

If you value good food and haven't been here yet, you're definitely missing out. A magical ambience, staff dressed like in the fairy tale 1001 Nights, they take you on an Ottoman journey. Yes, we didn't know it either, but there really is something for everyone here. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. If you like photos, you can dress up in the robes that are hanging ready for you and have your photo taken in the Golden Throne. In summer the terrace invites you to eat. Prices in the middle range which are already close to the upper range. Nevertheless, the price performance for the quality, ambience and service is fully justified. We've been there several times and always go back.

New glasses were brought with each new water bottle, but the old glasses were not cleared away for over an hour. At some point there were 4 of us with over 9 glasses on the table, even though the waiter often walked past us. Otherwise I can recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately, the name and image with which the restaurant advertises do not correspond to expectations at all. Unfortunately, a huge bar with various types of alcohol and waiters dressed in traditional Ottoman clothing don't go together at all and leave a very bitter, cheeky and sad impression. I'm not against bars being set up in restaurants, but then please don't advertise with Muslim history and tradition and pictures of former sultans/religious rulers! Very disappointing how tradition and values ​​are not respected!

Our table was lovingly decorated with rose petals because I had written when making the reservation that we wanted to celebrate the engagement of our son and daughter-in-law. When you enter the restaurant you are in another world. The beautifully detailed furnishings allow you to forget everyday life for a few hours.
