Öz Urfa, Helal Restaurant Hannover in Hannover

We were there today with my family and absolutely cannot recommend it. The staff were very poor, playing on their phones. The restaurant was unkempt. We know Öz Urfa to be different, hence the poor rating.

A grill platter so large the table was practically bending, the intense smoky aroma from the charcoal grill was accompanied by fresh bread. The sheer volume of food they obviously process also contributed to its freshness. The interior is showing its age, and the service wasn't exactly enthusiastic during our visit. Nevertheless, it was a lovely evening and definitely recommended.

It takes a thousand witnesses to call it tripe soup, unfortunately I was not satisfied at all.

The meat was overcooked, almost burnt, and the mixed salad consisted of plain onions.

It was always our favorite kebab dish, usually veal. It was simply delicious! That seems to be over now. We had the impression that the meat supplier or the spices had changed. The flavor was far too overpowering, far from delicious. We all left without eating, and the food went straight into the trash. What a waste... After over 20 years at ÖZ URFA, we'll be changing. It's just a shame and sad. 👎☹️

The owner has changed, the food is not as good as it used to be, unfortunately it was the only place to go in Hanover, but now I do not recommend it, and the portions are too expensive.

This was the worst experience ever! We sat in the restaurant for over 20 minutes and no one even came to us or acknowledged us. Zero service, zero respect for the guests. In the end, we left without eating. A chaotic and unprofessional restaurant – absolutely not recommended and definitely never again!

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that tasty. Service was super fast. Restaurant was clean. Atmosphere was cozy. The kebab food was simply terrible. Never again.

The food isn't clean and the potatoes are cold. And the fried food isn't even and has feathers. Unfortunately, it was a failed experiment and I wouldn't recommend returning it. And the price is very high.

Ordered a platter for 4 people for €100. The table was dirty, and the meat was completely raw, the chicken still pink inside. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he took the raw meat onto a plate with my fork and knife and said he'd grill it again. No apology, etc. I would no longer recommend this place.

The staff is friendly. Urfa Spies is one of the best in Hanover. It's definitely worth a visit.

The service was bad. Normally everywhere in Öz Urfal offers salad with the soup but this place didn't offer salad with the soup. We ordered lahmacun but there was really no minced meat in it, it was very little, almost non-existent. We didn't like it. It was really bad. In short, I can say that it is a place that gives a bad name to other Öz Urfal residents.

After a friend's stag party, we stopped here for dinner late one night on the recommendation of the taxi driver and the doorman. The service was super friendly and patient with nine drunk women. The food was delicious. I miss the "roll with fries" here at home now... If I'm ever back in Hanover, I'll definitely come back for dinner! :)

Delicious food with a great Turkish-Kurdish flair. The dishes are fresh and well-seasoned; I particularly enjoyed the Urfa kebab. The service is friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is simple but cozy. The price-performance ratio is excellent. A good address in Hanover for anyone who enjoys authentic specialties!

I was there for the first time today and the food is really great

I cannot really comments bcs I haven’t been served yet. I walk in the restaurant and choose a seat then wait for 10min for nothing. The waiter seems too busy to notice me. I pick up the menu myself, still no one there. Then I decide to leave just bcs I’m too hungry. I’m a fan of öz Urfa Hamburg and ordered many time there, but the Hannover one, is very disappointed.

I actually only ordered fries and tea, but everything was perfect. The fries were really delicious. Thank you, I'd be happy to come again 🙏🏻

The service is incredibly rude and, above all, lazy. You really get the feeling the waiters don't enjoy working here. When we asked for toothpicks, we were told to find them at the cash register instead of having them brought to our table. We also paid €1.50 per glass for the usual complimentary tea. And there's a lot more I haven't mentioned. So, all in all, a really bad experience.

10/10 Very hospitable staff, everyone super friendly, food delicious, the food looks like a luxury restaurant, Turkish culture perfectly captured, and it's open 24/7. Simply perfect for everyone.

None of the employees understand German; you have to explain everything 100 times, and you still get the wrong thing. The waiters don't accommodate customers' requests. They're only interested in the customers' money. I'll never go there again.

No matter how late it is, how busy or how stressful the day is/is, you should always be professional in your service. As soon as you took your order you could tell the man was stressed and annoyed, and when you wanted to add something he had already turned away and the man just carried on with his poor job with an annoyed gesture. We ordered a doner kebab plate with mixed meat and extra fries. The meat wasn't mixed and the fries never arrived, and the plate was slammed down on the table and the cutlery thrown at us. We spoke to the man straight away and he just said, what more can I do, you've had your food. Unfortunately the place has gone downhill a lot. This kind of service cannot be tolerated, we will never come back and will spend our money somewhere else where the customer is still welcome.

I'm upgrading my previous 5-star review to 1 star. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience today, both with the Adana Kebab and with the behavior of the young staff. The meat was grilled on the outside, but still raw on the inside. Even the first bite caused severe nausea. I complained and asked for a refund. Instead of apologizing, they preferred to argue with me. What was particularly irritating was that they even showed me other dishes that were also undercooked, as if this were perfectly normal. I found the statement "I won't talk to you anymore" rude and completely unprofessional, simply because I didn't want to listen to any more explanations. The meat wasn't cooked. Period. I was a regular customer for years, but after this experience, I will avoid the place indefinitely. Conclusion: Unfriendly to customers, disrespectful, and unprofessional. It's a shame for Urfa, but I just don't want to deal with gastrointestinal problems. (PS: Clearly visible in the picture: the inside is still too white, too raw, too mushy. Not completely even!)

My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing and I will definitely not be returning. I was at the restaurant with my friends and we ordered lentil soup with fresh onions and tomatoes. I told the waiter very clearly that we only wanted fresh onions and tomatoes. I kindly explained that we don't want to eat old or introduced onions as it ruins the taste of the food. Nevertheless, we were served a plate with old, wilted onions, some transparent, some rotten - definitely not edible. The attached photo clearly shows the condition of the onions we were served. The tomatoes that we also ordered were completely ignored. When I politely pointed out to the waiter that the onions were old and we couldn't eat them, I received a disrespectful and arrogant response: "If you don't want to eat this, that's your problem. This is what we have." We asked to speak to the manager or the owner - but no one came, no one apologized, no one showed any interest. This is not service that should be expected in a restaurant. Appreciation of guests and quality of food are the basis for good business - neither was present here: • Bad food • Rude staff • Zero interest in customer satisfaction I can only strongly recommend that anyone who values ​​quality and respectful treatment avoid this restaurant. There are many better alternatives in the city, with good food, professional staff and polite treatment of guests.

A constant point of contact for me in Hanover for many years. Delicious food at a consistently high level, around the clock. The staff have always been friendly, I've never had a bad experience here. We've eaten there several times with my family over the last few years and we've always been very satisfied, but this time the waiter was the bottom drawer! How can a waiter roll his eyes and make facial expressions when a customer orders his food??? Or just slam the bread basket on the table when ordering more bread? Or put the drinks you ordered at the side of the table and walk away? And all without glasses! Sorry Urfa but I won't allow my own money to be treated like that.

When I went in to eat, while I was about to sit at an empty table, the waiter came and did not let us sit, saying that the boss would come and do not sit there, and we left because he did not show us the appropriate place. He was treated disrespectfully. There was no reservation sign on the table. The ventilation inside was also inadequate. Even though it looked like a Turkish restaurant, foreigners were working there. The waiters were disrespectful from the beginning. I leave the food to you so that their treatment does not affect my interpretation.

Disappointing experience at Öz Urfa I had dinner with a friend at Öz Urfa in Hanover today at 11 a.m. and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. When we entered the place it was completely empty, so we sat at a table for six in the corner. Shortly afterwards a waiter came and asked us to change seats because a family was supposed to need this table immediately. However, 20 minutes later it turned out that there were only two people sitting there - and the waiter said nothing to them. This gave the impression that his reasoning was just a pretense. There was also another disrespect: We ordered two soups and therefore also wanted two pieces of bread. However, we only got one. A seat away, other guests had exactly the same order – and they got two loaves of bread without any problem. This unequal treatment was simply annoying and reinforced the poor impression of the service. The food itself was fine, but the service was a disaster. The Öz Urfa on Goethestrasse is without a doubt one of the best Turkish restaurants in Hanover! The quality of the food is excellent - the meat is juicy and perfectly seasoned, the side dishes are fresh and aromatic. Especially the lamb skewer and the homemade bread are an absolute highlight! What makes the experience even more special is the outstanding service. Our waiter was not only extremely attentive, but also incredibly friendly and professional. He made sure we felt completely comfortable and provided great recommendations. If you are in Hanover and want to enjoy really good Turkish food with excellent service - Öz Urfa on Goethestrasse is the best choice! I'm already looking forward to the next visit.
