Sukido - Sushi Bar St. Ingbert in St. Ingbert

We had a lovely evening at Sukido Sushi Bar in St. Ingbert. The restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes – not just sushi – and impresses with its pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. We opted for various sushi combinations, which were beautifully presented and delicious. The only slight drawback was the wait time of over 1.5 hours. Since we were there on Valentine's Day, the restaurant was fully booked and preparing many takeout orders. Even so, the wait was a bit long for us as dine-in customers. All in all, a highly recommended place where quality and service are excellent – ​​only the wait times could be a little shorter.

Unfortunately, after the change of ownership, I had to revise my rating downwards. Despite the menu being the same, the dishes are cooked completely differently, "expensive" ingredients have been replaced with cheaper alternatives or omitted entirely (no more avocado in the salad, for example), and taste-wise, I might as well go to any random Asian fast-food place now; it tastes just as much like it's been artificially enhanced with MSG.

That was the last time we'll order from there. Two days ago, the order was already wrong, and today we received completely wrong sushi… the chicken poke bowl was filled with cheap ingredients; green salad was the most abundant ingredient, which, of course, costs next to nothing. The cucumber came with the peel on—I doubt it was organic! Not a single order has been taken correctly so far, nor have any requests been accommodated, probably due to language barriers.

Hair in the food and unfriendly staff. Absolutely the worst place. So if you want hair in your food, this is your best choice.

Before the change of ownership, this was my favorite restaurant; now I deliberately avoid it. The staff is unfriendly and incapable of taking orders, and the food was always oversalted, to the point where it smelled, no joke, like vomit. I used to eat there daily a few years ago; this year I've only been two or three times and have been completely disappointed. Honestly, I'm surprised the place is still open.

I really loved the atmosphere here, the cool decor, and the friendly waiters. The presentation was impressive and beautiful, and the sushi and rolls were so delicious that I don't think I've ever eaten anything better! 🤤🍣

Fried rice with breaded chicken... simply the best

We were there for the first time yesterday. The sushi was very fresh and delicious. The duck rice dish was a bit too spicy because of the sauce. When we asked for the food to be served on a new plate with a fruity sauce, they served us a completely new dish with duck and mango sauce. We had to wait a bit, but we thought it was great. The other food was packed for us and we were allowed to take it home. They were very friendly and accommodating. A great, attentive team. This certainly won't be the last time we'll be there. Thank you for your efforts.

The food was really great, but unfortunately, our requests weren't taken into account (no vegetables), and only a portion of what we ordered was served. The excuse was that they were so busy that they couldn't fill any orders. Cheeky.

The value for money is simply fantastic; we love coming here! The sushi is very fresh. I highly recommend the mango lassi!

Stay away from that place!!!! We haven't had such bad food in a long time. I ordered rice with vegetables and beef. The sauce was so oversalted it was almost impossible to eat. We also had sushi with "Philadelphia" and chicken soup. They completely omitted the Philadelphia sauce from the sushi, and the soup broth was just as oversalted as the sauce. It's a shame I can't post a picture here. Otherwise, I would have noticed that our plates were almost full. It was really impossible to eat. You have to wait forever for service here. I'm going to kill the friend who recommended this place to me right now 😂

My soup consisted of heavily salted water with Maggi seasoning, rice noodles, and two small pieces of chicken. We've been waiting for our bill for half an hour. I'm never going back here.

My sushi was dry and inedible. Served without sauce. The service is terrible; you wait a veeeery long time for service. My first and last time here.

The food was unloving – some of it was completely overcooked – and complaints were met with a rude response… we sent back most of the food – it was simply inedible. Unbelievable that this still happens today. Even the chef himself was simply rude. Instead of tasting and correcting the food… accusations and insinuations… We could have done without this experience. This used to be a fine restaurant. I have no idea what happened. But neither the service nor the food even remotely lived up to expectations!

It was our first time there. Overall, it was quite good. However, I've definitely had much better sushi. The service is friendly. They have homemade lemonade that tastes good but isn't exactly cheap (€5.50). The ambiance is very strange. There are these embroidered pictures on the wall that have absolutely nothing to do with Asia, and it's incredibly dark in there. I would change that. But as I said, it was okay overall.

Unfortunately, I had to change my five-star review to a three-star review. The sushi is no longer what it was in the beginning. My photo shows the sushi that was served at the time of opening (!). Unfortunately, it didn't look like that on my last visit. Dead fish are swimming in the aquarium. The 0.2-liter wine comes in a glass without a measuring line, a maximum of 0.1 liters. The service is attentive, and the location is clean and nice. Edit: Regarding your comment that the photo wasn't taken at Sukido Sankt Ingbert: yes, it was! In the first week, when the restaurant opened. These tables were outside the restaurant in the outdoor area! The cutlery baskets, which they still use, can also be seen on the table. So, please. And as I also said: the photo was taken before the change of ownership. And since you're commenting on my review: what do you think about the dead fish? What do you think about the insufficient wine? My tip: get glasses with a calibration mark, like those used in restaurants. Then there won't be any discussion.

I'd love to say I was disappointed once... but unfortunately, that's not possible – everything is always perfect! 😍 Everything is delicious and made with so much love. Hats off, and keep it up!

Pure disappointment – ​​never again! I have to be honest: the taste of the food was really good - but what good is that if the service is a complete disaster? We were there with 8 people and were looking forward to a lovely evening. Instead, it was thoroughly spoiled for us by chaotic and unprofessional service. At first my drink was simply forgotten. It could happen, I thought. But then the main course came for everyone – except for me. While the others were already eating, I waited in vain. It was only when I asked that I was told that my dish had “unfortunately been forgotten”. I was then promised that my food would come in 10 minutes. In fact, I waited for over half an hour - again, only at my own request, it was finally brought to me. And that too in take-away packaging. The evening was completely ruined for me. Something like that just doesn't work. Sure, mistakes can happen – but this level of disorganization, indifference and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. Conclusion: Never again! There are countless restaurants where you are taken seriously as a guest - this is definitely not one of them.

The quality has deteriorated a lot. It's also no longer as attractive to the eye as it once was. The “crowd” has also changed. More rice than anything else, no longer comparable. See pictures. Both pictures show the bowl with salmon and tuna. In 2022 (mango in strips and cucumber in slices) the bowl looked much more inviting and delicious than in 2025. I'm actually very disappointed. However, the service was super friendly ☺️

In the restaurant there are two small aquariums with far too many large koi fish. It's terrible to see. Will definitely not come back. Food is okay, service was poor even though almost everything was empty.

Very unfriendly! 1) There is no eel, there is no scalloped banana, There are only two types of fish 2) If you take soup instead of a drink because of the cold, you will be laughed at in the local language. Card payments aren't possible; you can't see the difference on the small device, and only at home did you realize you'd been charged more. The food is very good, but the "greens" are limited to sliced ​​iceberg lettuce and carrots, so nothing particularly Asian, more reminiscent of a kebab.

The ambience in the restaurant and - and above all - the food itself (quality, taste and appearance) were really top and easily deserve 5/5 stars here 🙏🌟😍. I found it a shame that the (really very friendly and hard-working!!) service staff apparently didn't understand a word of German, let alone speak it, and so - despite communicating with hands and feet - it felt like they didn't understand us at all. That seemed very tedious and took away from the relaxed atmosphere. I also found it unfortunate that all of the starters we ordered were served at the same time as all of the main courses -... This meant that a lot of things got cold and it was just 'uncomfortably inappropriate'. Price/performance ratio is absolutely top and hard to believe. We will be back and can absolutely recommend the restaurant apart from the little things listed above.

Four of us on a Friday evening. We had reserved and that was a good thing. The restaurant was full. If the weather is good, outdoor seating is also available. Then maybe it will straighten out a little. The food was delicious and I also found the way it was prepared very appealing. You can enter the restaurant at ground level in the pedestrian zone. You have to look for parking spaces a few meters away, but there are enough available. It was a bit too loud for me in the fully occupied restaurant and ordering drinks didn't work so well. But no wonder given the company. Ordered food was also constantly picked up. Maybe next time (and there will be a next time) when you can sit outside again.

Both the curry and the sushi are not as run-of-the-mill as all the Chinese buffets We thought it was a shame that there was only one service person walking around in the restaurant on Saturday evenings. The poor young girl was visibly very stressed and at times overwhelmed. Sorry, that's on the management. Use more service staff on the weekend and your customers will be happier. We were only asked once for something to drink. The other service person behind the counter took our food order but unfortunately didn't speak a word of German and couldn't even explain to me what the house sauce was.

We spontaneously went to Sukido to eat sushi and were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and shown to a table. The selection of sushi is very extensive and includes everything from classic nigiri to extraordinary creations. The service was always very nice, quick and attentive. The sushi tasted delicious and was very nicely prepared. The homemade lemonades are highly recommended as drinks. The restaurant is lovingly decorated in a Japanese style, including a very large and “blooming cherry tree”. The restaurant is very clean, tidy and, apart from the toilets, completely new. You can have a good time here!

Wirklich sehr sehr schmackhaftes Restaurant in der Innenstadt mit perfekter Lage, guten Portionen und Preisen, und schöner Ambiente. Ich geh seit langem immer wieder gerne hier hin, eigentlich ein Muss für jeden Mal. Essen gibt es vorallem eins, Reichlich Sushi. Aber auch mit klassischen, asiatischen Speisen und Suppen ist man hier gut bedient, auch Desserts sind vorhanden. Alles spielt sich jedoch besonders fein auf der Zunge ab, daher, Falsch bestellen kann man hier nicht. Service lieb und bei selbst kleinen Fehlern in der Bestellung wird der damit verbundene Betrag -Beispiel fehlende Sushi- nicht einberechnet. Ambiente ist wirklich auffällig bemerkenswert. Passt absolut zum Japanischen Flair. Einer meiner Favoriten in St.Ingbert, 5/5. Immer gerne wieder
