Wir saßen an einem schönen Sommertag auf der Terrasse. Ein tolles Ambiente direkt am herrlichen Baldeneysee. Das Essen und die Getränke haben hervorragend geschmeckt. Ein tolles Ausflugslokal mit einer wunderschönen Umgebung. Wir haben das Mittagessen in den Südtiroler Stuben sehr genossen.

Die Südtiroler Stuben am Ufer des Baldeney-Sees sind ein beliebtes Schönwetter-Ausflugsziel in Essen. Der Großgastronomie-Betrieb mit einer schönen Seeterrasse verfügt ebenfalls über Hotelzimmer. Wir sind kürzlich Sonntagmittag dort eingekehrt weil, uns die Südtiroler Spezialitäten interressierten. Der Besuch hat unsere Erwartungen in allen Belangen deutlich übertroffen. Für ein Restaurant mit mehr als 700 Plätzen war der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam - keine Spur von Massenabfertigung. Unser Kellner erkundigte sich sogar in der Küche ob es möglich sei, den Tafelspitz mit flexigem Fleisch zu bekommen - weil er ohne Fettanteil einfach zu trocken ist. Das war überhaupt kein Problem und meine Frau erhielt ein saftiges Stück Rindfleisch mit der gewünschten Textur. Meine Schlutzkrapfen mit Spinatfüllung schmeckten wie in einer Südtiroler Berghütte - das war authentisch zubereitete Regionalküche in sehr guter Qualität. Der offene Wein aus einer Bozner Kellerei und ein kühles frisch gezapftes Forster Bier machte den kulinarischen Abstecher nach Alto Adige perfekt. Neben der mehrstufigen Uferterrasse und den Idyllischen Plätzen am Ufersteeg verfügen die Südtiroler Stuben über sehr geschmackvoll und wertig eingerichtete Gasträume. Ich war begeistert von den italienischen Catellani & Smith Stchu Moon Pendelleuchten - Kultprodukte für Design-Liebhaber. Fazit: Wer in Essen auf der Suche nach original Südtiroler Küche ist, der ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Der freundliche Service und das gepflegte Ambiente mit Blick auf den See machen den Besuch außergewöhnlich.

Wonderful location, very lovingly managed. The staff is quick and extremely friendly. I haven't used the hotel yet, but I celebrated my wedding there and have enjoyed going there since and before. The cake there is worth a trip, but the food is always good too. The meat is always perfectly prepared. The menu offers enough variety, from good home cooking to burgers. Every dish is prepared to perfection and is served by friendly staff or the family themselves. The restaurant is idyllically located directly on Lake Baldeney and offers a great view of the lake from the terraces.

I met three colleagues for coffee today. A very nice location right on the lake. The service was excellent. A waiter of Hungarian origin served us very attentively, he was very courteous and funny. We'd love to come back!

We ate very tasty food. The beetroot carpaccio was a special. Not a large portion, but with the caramelized walnuts (plenty of them) and the light vinegrette, it's a treat for the palate. The Tyrolean salad consisted of a lot of leaf lettuce and was a bit much for 1 portion. The service attentive and friendly.

Well-attended restaurant. Reservations make sense. Friendly service and good food.

Beautiful location right on the water. I was cycling and was hungry. Wiener Schnitzel (veal saddle) ordered delicious. Side dishes are rather average but I can understand the crowds that come here. Service, thank God, not artificial / intrusive 5 stars. Prices okay. 4 stars because the side dishes and dressing (salad was ok) were more canteen style. But I still recommend the store. Come again

Only affects the restaurant. Today (08/23/24) we had dinner there with my friend and his family. I was there myself on the occasion of my birthday a few months ago. I have to say up front that the waiters are all great and the food is good (that's why not just one star despite my displeasure). But the person in charge of reservations had a very bad tone today. Due to Corona, we were three fewer people (out of a total of 11) and therefore couldn't cancel beforehand. When I had to call to change the reservation, I was made to feel like I had wasted my time. That's why we didn't think that calling shortly beforehand on the same day would make that much of a difference. Something similar to "I assume a recent infection was said in a very condescending and inappropriate tone? Otherwise you could have let us know in advance. We have specially prepared the table". And just left us standing there. I have to say: I can understand why this is being pointed out. But the tone wasn't okay, especially since Corona is also to be taken seriously and you might be a little worried about these people. But there was zero compassion. And the supposedly prepared table didn't look very inviting (in contrast to my visit a few months ago). It wasn't set, a tray was just being placed on it and what he meant by "preparation" was pushing several tables together plus the sign "reserved". In addition, the following situation came up again for me: during my visit a few months ago, a wedding party was celebrating there with extremely loud music, which I found very disturbing. I could have been warned. I'm used to this from other restaurants. However, the nice waitress made it all right again. This was almost the case with the waitress today, who listened to our criticism and took it seriously. However, I told her that I was considering not coming back because I was really really upset about the way she was treated all evening. Unfortunately, her very last wink and “see you next time” made me a little angry. I work as a service provider myself (albeit in a different industry) and I'm the first to say you don't have to put up with everything from the customer. There are certainly enough guests who never say anything and don't care. But we acted to the best of our knowledge and remained nice and friendly. The offer to talk came later from the waitress. We didn't get a chance to explain in the acute situation (with the man who welcomed us). We were simply labeled, which I think is very unprofessional. If that had been my family, I would have skipped eating there and left immediately. It's a shame. The location is really nice, the food is good and the waiters do a good job. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they think this approach is okay. Definitely not me. I originally planned to celebrate more birthdays there, but I won't anymore.

Kann man besser sitzen und den herrlichen Blick auf den wunderschönen Baldeneysee bis hinein ins Bergische Lang genießen und noch dazu bei einem wirklich leckeren Essen einen tollen Spätnachmittag bis Abend verbringen? Klare Antwort: Nein! Nicht in dieser unserer geliebten Gegend des Ruhrgebietes. Es war wie ein Urlaubstag irgendwo in Süddeutschland. Die Vollendung war eine tolle gutgelaunte und fachlich überaus kompetente Kellnerin in einem tollen Team von Mitarbeitenden. Rundum ein unvergesslicher Tag. Vielen Dank.

We were there for dinner. The food was okay. Here you pay for the view.

Booked for an overnight stay and asked for a cool room as 35 degrees were expected during the day. The only cool thing was the reception: "ID card please" instead of hello or good day. It was a good 30 degrees in the room with the sun protection up and when I asked about a fan I was told: should I also put a coffee machine in your room? Service so far unsatisfactory. The service stars are only for the nice lady who prepared a nice breakfast.

Unfortunately we had to wait over 2.5 hours for the main course. The food was mediocre and only slightly reminiscent of South Tyrol, more like frozen pizza, burgers etc. We won't be coming back.

Leider hat sich die Qualität der Küche sehr negativ entwickelt. Vor ein paar Jahren noch eine der besseren Adressen am See, gibt es jetzt Systemfrass, Massenabfertigung, mangelnde Qualität bei den Speisen und der Laden ist völlig überlaufen. Die Lage am See ist nach wie vor super. Parkplätze sind vorhanden, wenn auch je nach Andrang nicht genug. Der Aussenbereich ist gross und entsprechend überlaufen, man wartet überdurchschnittlich lange auf Speisen und Getränke. Die Karten entspricht einem typischen Biergarten / Ausflugslokal, die Preise sind durchaus gehoben. Die Qualität und Frische der Speisen sind nicht mehr empfehlenswert. Ohne Geschmack, nicht richtig durch / heiss, eindeutiger Systemfrass und ohne "Liebe". Mengen naja. Tipp : NIEMALS hier einen Salat essen. Katastrophe. Dann lieber abgekochtes / gegrilltes bzw fritiertes Zeug in sich reinstopfen.

I can't judge what the food is like, after my wife and my 16 year old son asked for a table (both don't look typically German) and were ignored, we moved on. My wife said try it, Germans seem to serve them better. But honestly, if the reception is bad, the service won't be any better.

Very nice Apenstil gastronomy. Since we only drank a cappuccino on the boom, which was good and inexpensive, I can't say anything about the food yet. However, what we saw looked very well prepared and delicious. Our service was courteous, friendly and attentive

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing lake view! They serve great food with big portions. My absolute highlight was the Apfelstrudel with (Bourbon!!) Vanilla Ice Cream - simply delicious. Worth mentioning was the excellent service and friendliness of the waitress. She was absolutely on top of things all the time! A visit is highly recommended!

There's probably a reason you can't rate the restaurant. In any case, I found the food to be totally overpriced and not particularly tasty. 21.90 for a salad plate that consisted almost exclusively of leaf lettuce, a teaspoon of grated carrots, half a radish, a tasteless tomato and chanterelles. Plus some rubber bread. My mother's chanterelle dish looked suspiciously like convenience food as the chanterelle slime shone like the stuff from Bofrost. You don't need to go there to eat, the location by the lake is quite nice. Service was also good.

Stop after a Segway tour around Lake Baldeney with a beautiful view from the step-shaped terrace. Hearty menu with many delicious South Tyrolean specialties. Service is friendly and confident. A reservation in advance ensures a stress-free place, even during busy times.

Fantastically located, great service, good food, beautiful view of the lake from the terrace. Like a little vacation. Biggest drawback: Smoking is allowed on the terrace, but unfortunately you often end up sitting in the smoke while eating. Hence 1 star deduction

We weren't in the hotel, just in the restroom...friendly service, coffee and cake was delicious, but the pizzas were very carelessly topped, no spices, no taste...the salad could use dressing. . Food could be better with a little love when preparing it. The view makes up for Viekes, but not for everything..

Great location right on the lake and very good service despite the large crowds. Still, the food didn't take too long to arrive. We sat protected from the sun under large parasols and had a refreshing breeze from the lake.

The Kaiserschmarrn was a sponge cake with powdered sugar. Otherwise, the food was okay, but the price was probably only justified because of the restaurant's location on the lake.

Tolle Location mit Urlaubs-Flair, vielen leckeren Köstlichkeiten und stets freundlichem Personal! Wir wurden zuletzt vom Kellner Xherat sehr aufmerksam und gut gelaunt bedient. Aufgrund der zahlreichen Besucherschaft mussten wir auf unser Essen zwar ein klein wenig warten, aber dafür hat es uns dann umso mehr gemundet! Regelmäßig schauen auch die Chefs Roman Pichler und Catrin Linowsky vorbei, um sich bei den Gästen nach deren Wohlbefinden zu erkundigen, so dass wir das Restaurant summa summarum wirklich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können!! :-))

We ate there with a few people as we were on a trip have made Lake Baldeney. The very large terrace with a view of the lake and the huge umbrellas is quite attractive and invites you to linger for a longer period of time. The drinks were nice and cold and came quite quickly. Several people in our group ordered the large salad with turkey strips, I had the pork goulash. As the When I started eating the salad group, I noticed that it was getting longer and longer growing faces and asked. Everyone was, without exception extremely disappointed. I now also tried my little side- layered salad. There were pieces of lettuce leaf, iceberg lettuce, completely dry and without any dressing on the plate. The others also confirmed this to me about their salads. With the large salads there was ONE small slice of tomato and a small piece of cucumber on the side of the plate, nothing else except turkey and salad. Under the salad I found something that looked like some rapeseed oil, WITHOUT any vinegar, salt, pepper, etc. and it was not mixed with the salad, but was lying thinly on the plate under the salad. I also had a mini piece of cucumber and a small one Piece of tomato, cold, hard and completely tasteless. I asked the others if at least the turkey meat was tender, and they unanimously said no. An absolute total failure. A request to the waitress to pass this on to the kitchen, was met with a listless face. It should be understandable that people didn't get fed up with it, but were just annoyed. My goulash tasted quite good, but half of the pieces of meat were firm and dry. The "bacon dumplings" were even worse than you could have feared - clearly not homemade, but small, rubbery, tasteless, not a hint of bacon taste. Convenience wouldn't have been a bad thing, but this could only be described as fake. It was one of the most negative experiences I've had in the restaurant industry in several years. Then we just wanted still gone and forget this experience as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we can now only warn acquaintances who also wanted to come here. The most annoying thing is that this debacle is so easy to avoid would have been - you can teach any kitchen assistant how to mix a delicious vinaigrette (and stir it in the salad) in just 2 minutes. And a large salad for a whopping €18.50 includes a few other ingredients such as: b. Corn, red peppers, etc., you get that as standard elsewhere. Everyone can speculate for themselves why that's not the case here - none Quality control in the kitchen, incompetence, calculation or? One thing is certain for all of us: never again.

Unfortunately the rooms are disproportionate to the price. These are getting old and only very sparsely equipped. The water temperature in the shower could not be regulated. When I wanted to hand over the key at checkout (weekdays at 7:30 a.m.), no one was there.

Super beautiful place, located directly on Lake Baldeney. You can enjoy the great view on 4 terraces in (hopefully) good weather. A snack, coffee, cake or various hearty dishes are offered here. The service (Daniela) was absolutely great - so warm and nice, great! ❤️

A super tasty restaurant, fast and very attentive service, great quality, large portions, tasty selection and a great view. In addition, both the interior and the great terrace are more than inviting. Larger celebrations can be held here. The price-performance ratio is great, because the high price level is justified by the very good quality.

There were three of us there today and we sat by the water. I took another chair to put my purse down. Then the waiter (a strawberry-blond man with an accent) came and forbade me to put the bag there because the chair would be occupied immediately. It would be full soon. We sat there for about 1 1/2 hours and the tables by the water were all still empty. Rude waiter. Not recommendable.

We took a short break there and were satisfied. So can't say much about it.

Very nicely located restaurant where we wanted to have a little something to eat and drink. The quality of the food was good, but many little things were not as expected, given that the prices here are very high. The burger was not available. The food we ordered did not come with the side dishes we ordered. The saucer of the soup was completely smeared with it. An additional portion of fries could not be ordered (only for children). The table wasn't cleaned. Preparing the invoice appears to have caused major problems for the staff. The expectations were simply different. There is definitely still work to be done here.

It was my first time here and I was very impressed by the location. I was invited to a larger group for my birthday. We had a beautiful table, the service was very friendly. The main course took a little longer... It was very well attended due to the beautiful weather and the rowing regatta. The food was very tasty and the portion was generous 🥰 All in all, a wonderful and successful day... it felt like a day on vacation. I'd love to come back 🥰

On a lovely summer day in Germany, you should visit Baldeneysee and you must eat at Südtiroler Stuben. Next by the lake, with a lovely view accompanied by a nice breeze and amazing food. I had a tasty fish plate with fresh vegetables and potato. I enjoyed every bite👍 Plus the staff is so friendly and welcoming especially my Kosovan waiter is the best. I am coming here again for sure, well done👌

The waiter was extremely friendly. The breakfast was very, very extensive.

We were there with a large group of 30 people who all paid individually, which is certainly not the most pleasant type of guest when it comes to service. The employee was just great. Incredibly friendly, service-oriented - I haven't experienced anything like that in a long time. We all got our food at the same time, which was also delicious. The location with the view of the water is of course almost unbeatable! Gladly again!

Yesterday we had dinner in the restaurant with 63 people. An hour in advance we chose from 7 dishes and sent the order. When we got to Tristan's we were served immediately, the food was great and extremely plentiful. After 80 minutes we were all able to leave the restaurant including billing. We would like to thank you very much for the top service and the great food.

Very disappointed! South Tyrolean farmer's salad with 3 zucchini slices and a grilled mushroom for €18.90 is way too expensive, fried blood sausage is very soft and full of cartilage. We were very disappointed, 3 years ago it was much better!

We went there for dinner twice, it was just great 😋. Highly recommended, especially the spinach dumplings and the homemade apple strudel. You feel like you're on vacation. The location is of course perfect and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the rooms, we didn't stay there.

First of all, a beautifully located, highly frequented restaurant with a lot of hustle and bustle on the terrace, among other things under the rooms. The rooms rented are expensive and always without breakfast. We had several rooms with a group in which there were major problems with water pressure, temperature (sometimes only cold water) and the shower heads. For many, normal showering was not possible. As a jubilarian who wanted to freshen up again at a time when hardly anyone showers, I found myself soaped up under nothing? We are all of the opinion that price and performance do not match in any way. The staff acted like they had never heard of a shower problem. For hikers and cyclists, breakfast is served from 9 a.m. upon reservation at the earliest.

Located directly on Lake Baldeney, the terraced outdoor dining area is an absolute highlight. We were greeted by a friendly lady who, when asked, confirmed that yes, we had reserved. She showed us a table that we were happy to accept. As soon as the first of our small group were sitting down, a big guy came up and asked us in a very unfriendly tone whether we couldn't read. It says reserved, we have reserved, can't sit here, people who come here every day, what name, name was mentioned, he turned around without a word and walked away. After a while he came back, yes the reservation is booked for inside but you can take one of the tables here. The friendly lady who had been standing in the corner, slightly unsettled, welcomed us and showed us the options. The food was nothing special. The taste is not consistent with the price. Maybe the people in question will go to Tyrol and bring back a few tasty ideas from there.

“Normal” day trippers don’t seem to be welcome here. 1. The dog was not allowed to have a water bowl at the table. Reason: the waiters could step in! 2. I just wanted to have a bite to eat, so I ordered a portion of fries. I did not receive. Reason: I am not a child. Fries just for kids! 3. A colleague ordered two scoops of ice cream. Didn't get it. Reason: two scoops of ice cream are only available for children up to 12 years old! 4. I ordered an iced coffee. Here, iced coffee seems to mean pouring cold, stale filter coffee into a glass with ice cubes. The remaining 2/3 was then sprayed with cream. The whole thing for a sporty €6.60!

We were there with 5 girls for a birthday breakfast - it was delicious and lovingly prepared and we were well served, even though the restaurant was very busy. A special compliment to Violetta – our favorite waitress this morning…you made our day ❣️

We were in the Südtiroler Stuben today, the location is fantastic. But the food is mediocre, the veal schnitzel is thin like a sheet of paper under a thick breading, fried potatoes and salad tasted like nothing - just bland. The boiled beef was swimming in a broth that almost ran off the plate, accompanied by a dollop of horseradish. We had fond memories of Tafelspitz from a visit to Austria, but this meat/vegetable soup had nothing in common with it. A nice place in the sun with modest food.

I chose this restaurant to cater for a group of 40 people. The food was good to very good, but above all I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service. We were able to order about 10 dishes from a reduced group menu and ordered the dishes about 30 minutes before arrival. Thanks to the well-organized service staff, we all had food on the table after 20 minutes. And that with only one waiter and one waitress. Added to this was the beautiful location on the lake.

Unfortunately, there is no chance for adults to order a simple portion of fries with a beer in the restaurant on an afternoon, unless there are small children at the table. With small children at the table it is supposedly possible to order a portion of fries... (the operator's business sense is somehow questionable) Beer, ambience and location with a view of Lake Baldeney are otherwise nice.

The restaurant offers an average dining experience. The food was OK, but not outstanding. The service should be positively highlighted, as it was friendly and courteous and made the visit pleasant. The prices are acceptable for the location and overall still reasonable. However, the cleanliness of the toilets left a lot to be desired, which somewhat spoiled the overall impression.

Very nicely located, well-kept restaurant, service so-so, food good and plentiful, prices medium level, Sanitary facilities: for older people and disabled people, NOT accessible due to very steep and many steps.

I always feel comfortable in this restaurant, regardless of whether I'm thirsty from hiking in outdoor gear or whether I want to celebrate a special day in fine clothing. Most recently, my birthday was made even more pleasant there, after I and my guests had unfortunately left a restaurant in the immediate vicinity very dissatisfied. After a nightcap and dessert in the South Tyrolean Stuben, you know that everything is just right, from the cheerful service staff to the great lake view to the good food.
