Wunderschöne Lage, sensationelles Essen und erstklassiges Personal. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder.

Ich werde definitiv oft wiederkommen – das sagt eigentlich schon alles!

Wir waren heute am Nachmittag für Kaffee und Kuchen in diesem Restaurant und hatten zusätzlich für unsere Tochter eine Schorle bestellt. Leider mussten wir über 45 Minuten auf unsere Bestellung warten – ohne jegliche Entschuldigung oder Erklärung. Das war bereits ein sehr enttäuschender Start. Im Anschluss sind wir noch zum Abendessen geblieben. Das Essen selbst war wirklich sehr lecker, allerdings trübt der Service das Gesamtbild erheblich. Wir baten die Bedienung freundlich, die Jalousie ein kleines Stück herunterzulassen, da unsere kleine Tochter durch die Sonne gestört wurde und bereits über Kopfschmerzen klagte. Die Bedienung fragte daraufhin ihre Chefin, die lediglich wortlos den Kopf schüttelte – ohne Begründung oder Entgegenkommen. Dabei hätte eine minimale Anpassung der Jalousie niemanden beeinträchtigt, da die anderen Gäste bereits im Schatten saßen. Dieses Verhalten empfanden wir als wenig kundenorientiert und schlichtweg unangemessen. Guter Service gehört für uns genauso zu einem gelungenen Restaurantbesuch wie gutes Essen. Leider hat es hier deutlich daran gefehlt. Wir hatten insgesamt den Eindruck, dass man auf Gäste nicht besonders angewiesen ist. Wir werden daher nicht wiederkommen.

Unser Besuch im Restaurant Südlich in Lauf bot eine insgesamt angenehme Mischung aus guter Küche und mediterranem Ambiente – mit einigen kleinen Schwächen im Service. 🍽️ Essen & Qualität - Fischvariationen: Sehr gelungen. Frisch, aromatisch und schön angerichtet. Die Kombination der verschiedenen Sorten wirkte stimmig und zeigte, dass die Küche ihr Handwerk versteht. - Pizza Carameliatta: Eine interessante, geschmacklich runde Variante, die positiv hervorsticht. Der Teig war gut gebacken, die Zutaten harmonierten und boten eine angenehme Süße-Herzhaft-Balance. - Tiramisu: Klassisch, cremig und ein würdiger Abschluss des Essens. - Espresso: Kräftig und aromatisch – so, wie man es sich nach einem italienisch angehauchten Menü wünscht. - Latte Macchiato: Leider der einzige Ausreißer. Geschmacklich eher flach und nicht auf dem Niveau der übrigen Getränke. 🕒 Service & Aufmerksamkeit Bis zum Hauptgang war der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Allerdings ließ die Betreuung später deutlich nach. Ab etwa 21:30 Uhr wurden keine Getränke mehr aktiv nachgefragt, was den ansonsten positiven Gesamteindruck etwas trübte. Gerade an einem gemütlichen Abend wünscht man sich, dass der Service bis zum Schluss präsent bleibt. 🎯 Fazit Das Restaurant Südlich überzeugt mit sehr guter Küche, besonders bei Fischgerichten und kreativen Pizzen. Auch die Desserts und der Espresso sind empfehlenswert. Beim Service besteht jedoch Verbesserungspotenzial, insbesondere in den späteren Abendstunden. Insgesamt dennoch ein lohnenswerter Besuch – mit kleinen Abstrichen.

Immer wenn wir in dieser Gegend sind, ist ein Besuch im Südlich ein absolutes Muss. Sehr schnuckeliges Ambiente. Mega freundliches Personal. Bisher war alles, was wir da verzerrt haben richtig lecker .

Ich war im restaurant Südlich und habe die Spaghetti mit Muscheln probiert einfach richtig gut. Die Pasta war perfekt al dente, die Muscheln frisch und saftig, und die Sauce schön leicht mit Knoblauch und Kräutern, nicht zu schwer. Man merkt direkt, dass alles frisch zubereitet ist. Service war freundlich und entspannt, man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir hatten Gestern auf der Durchreise für ein Abendessen einen Tisch reserviert. Leider mussten wir schlechte Erfahrungen machen. Nachdem man uns zuerst vergessen hatte, wurde das Essen nachgereicht. Lieblos angerichtet und verkocht. Da ich Pfeffer nicht vertrage, bestelle ich üblichweise Pizza Bianchi. So auch an diesem Abend. Dort wurde mir dann eine Pizza Bianchi MIT Tomatensauce serviert - von Schmand oder Frischkäse als Grundbelag war nichts zu entdecken - und die Tomatensauce war natürlich mit Pfeffer gewürzt. Ich hatte im Vorfeld der Bestellung explizit nachgefragt und hingewiesen, dass Pfeffer für mich nicht auf den Teller kommen darf. Mein Eindruck: die Köch*innen scheinen sich nicht ab zu sprechen über die Zubereitung der Grundsaucen, was für Allergiker*innen sehr gefährlich und schädlich ist. Die Kellnerinnen scheinen einem gerne etwas zu erzählen, was im Preis der Pizza für 14,90 € verständlicherweise inklusive sein muss! Gute Küche und Service sieht für mein Empfinden anders aus - ebenso authentische italienische Küche. Das Vertrauen der Kunden sollte neben den Gerichten und dem Service ebenfalls an erster Stelle stehen. Schade, der sehr gute Eindruck vom 1. Besuch hat sich nicht bewährt.

Wir waren an einem Freitagabend dort und hatten vorab per E-Mail reserviert. Nach unserer Ankunft wurde uns ein Tisch zugewiesen. Nach lediglich einer Stunde wurden wir jedoch gebeten zu zahlen, da der Tisch erneut benötigt werde. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt warteten bereits mehrere Personen im sehr engen Eingangsbereich. Über eine zeitliche Begrenzung des Tisches wurden wir im Vorfeld nicht informiert. Dieses Vorgehen empfanden wir als unangenehm und eher an ein Schnellrestaurant erinnernd, was wir sehr schade fanden. Das Essen war zwar sehr gut, der Gesamteindruck wurde jedoch durch die Hektik und die kurze Verweildauer deutlich getrübt.

Wir waren zu fünft nach einer Wanderung ohne Reservierung dort. Hat perfekt gepasst. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Kellnerin freundlich. Preis Leistung top.

Sehr gutes Angebot und gutes Essen. Die Pizza ist super.

Das Essen war sehr gut und das Servicepersonal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Einzig, dass man für die Kartenzahlung (bei getrennter Zahlung in der Gruppe) an den Tresen muss, dort zwischen anderen essenden Gästen, dem Durchgang zur Küche und zur Toilette steht, ist wirklich verbesserungsfähig.

Unser Lieblingsitaliener in Lauf! Das Essen ist immer lecker, der Service immer freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Ambiente einfach zum Wohlfühlen! Hier gibt es auch den besten Espresso weit und breit 😘. Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne hierher !

It's very nice and comfortable to sit in. The service is usually very good, but today it was very poor. The wait was long, and the man seemed overwhelmed. We had to wait a very long time. (We arrived at 12:30 p.m., the order was taken at 12:50, and the food for two pizzas still wasn't there after more than 15 minutes) but otherwise, it's fantastic.

After making a phone call to the Südlich restaurant to redeem Medicon tokens, our son wanted to redeem his tokens today. The Medicon website states 28 tokens for one pizza. However, this wasn't the case. 1. My son was served very rudely. 2. He should have given me a lot more Medicon tokens. In the end, he left without a pizza. It's just a shame for the children; they really had a great time.

We ordered pizza and rigatoni with Gorgonzola sauce. The pizza was frozen pizza-level. Any Italian would be ashamed of such a pizza. The pasta was penne instead of rigatoni. When asked, "Our rigatoni is penne," was the reply, which clearly bothered the waitress. Moreover, it tasted very bland. A real outrage for 14.50. Unfortunately, the waitress has to take the criticism for her boss and "chef," which I'm really sorry about, because she was really friendly and helpful. The wine prices are really high for Lauf, to put it mildly. No comparison to the previous owner, when the price/performance ratio was still good. What a shame....

I've been here several times now and can only recommend it. The pizza and pasta are great and especially the tiramisu for dessert is made with love, you can taste it. I always enjoy coming back and the staff are all super friendly and attentive. In summer you can sit beautifully on the terrace. :)

The food was incredible, and it definitely won't be my last visit! I'll definitely come back because the taste is simply addictive. I didn't leave a crumb on my plate. In addition, the restaurant is very cozy, the atmosphere is totally pleasant, and the service is simply great. Many thanks to the team at Südlich Restaurant!

One of the best restaurants I have visited in Germany, delicious food and good prices, I will return again

Wir waren das erste Mal im Südlich, wollten etwas Neues ausprobieren. Die Lage ist echt klasse, am Fluss, sehr beschaulich. Und das Restaurant Ihnen gemütlich und einladend. Wir wurden auch nett empfangen, bekamen einen schönen Tisch - soweit alles gut. Aber als wir dann die Speisekarte studierten, ist uns schon ein bisschen die Kinnlade runtergeklappt. Saftige Preise! Unter zehn Euro finden sich nur noch Suppen oder Bruscetta - das Gros der Hauptspeisen beginnt bei 14 Euro und das sind auch Pizzen und typische einfache Gerichte. Auch die Getränke, vor allem die Weinkarte sind wirklich hochpreisig. Unser Essen kam relativ bald, wir fanden es okay, aber eher mittelmäßig. Keine Raffinesse, keine besondere Note der Speisen. Eher eine gewöhnliche Pizzeria. Dafür solche Preise zu verlangen, geht unseres Erachtens nicht. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nicht mehr kommen.

There were 7 of us eating at Südlich. The interior is relatively small and even though it wasn't fully occupied, it was incredibly loud. It was also quite dark, which was supposed to be comfortable, but a little brighter would have been good. The food was delicious. My pizza was well topped but not overly full, thin base - as it should be. A friend had ordered pasta from the weekly menu and had very little on her plate for the high price. The tiramisu was served in bowls. Unfortunately, these had much less surface area at the bottom than at the top, so there was very little base for a lot of cream. And the cream only tasted like cream and not at all like tiramisu should be. Still it was okay. The service was very friendly and quick. We were given the bills separately and we didn't have to sort out who had what when paying.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience. First we waited 45 minutes for the starter (beef carpaccio). You had to look for the porcini mushrooms on the Bianca pizza for €16 and €6.50 for 0.1l of wine, compared to €7.50 for 0.2l. We will eat somewhere else in the future.

Haven't been here for a long time. Cozy restaurant, not too extensive menu but something for everyone. My spaghetti carbonara was very tasty, although I can't judge whether it was authentic. But that doesn't matter to me personally. We also had Rigatoni al Forno which was a little tasteless. This was no exception, our companion had the same taste experience. Or just not. The service is phenomenally attentive. Empty dishes are cleared away quickly and the food arrives in a timely manner. Small drawback: we were there with our small dog. After an hour and a half we were told to please put the dog in his bag. What has changed during this time? We don't know, but we don't discuss things like that either. It still leaves a bad aftertaste and is a reason for us not to come back.

A very welcoming and cozy restaurant. We had a super nice young woman who served us food and drinks. So nice and accommodating. The dishes we chose (pizza, pasta) were all very tasty😋 We go home full and very satisfied... and we will be happy to come back 😊.

Twelve of us were in the Südlich for a big birthday... From the champagne reception outside, the food, drinks, to the nightcap in front of the restaurant, everything was great. The food was very good, both in terms of taste and presentation. The times were ok even though it was a bit long between courses. Also the 2 of us had to wait a little longer for the serving. Price performance is completely clear. The ambience is nice but seems a bit crowded due to the many pictures. Service very friendly.

Cute little pizzeria in Lauf with very good, high quality food

Früher war das mal mein Lieblingslokal. Die Lage am Fluss ist wunderschön man fühlt sich fast wie in Italien. Ich weiß nicht woran es liegt, ob der Besitzer gewechselt hat oder was passiert ist, aber das Lokal hat leider stark nachgelassen. Früher hat man immer einen Tisch bekommen, und sei es, dass man am Katzentisch mit einem Glas Wein gewartet hat. Jetzt heißt es immer: sorry, kein Platz frei. Und genau so fühlt man sich auch, ein bisschen abgefertigt, man muss lange warten, und das Essen schmeckt auch nicht mehr so wie früher. Ich fände es aber super, wenn man die konstruktive Kritik der Kunden als Aufforderung verstehen würde,, sich wieder mehr um die Gäste zu bemühen. Die Lage und das Ambiente verpflichten dazu.

Food very good, service very friendly, reserved for 8 people outside, but it's a shame that we had to clear the table after two hours without prior information (not even when making a reservation over the phone). It's really a shame because some people had to travel further. Small suggestion for improvement: Maybe change the menu online, as the old menu from the previous owner is still there.

There were 5 people there for dinner. We had a super nice young lady who served us drinks and food. The dishes we chose (pizza, calzone, pasta) were very tasty. We went home full and very satisfied...and we will be happy to come back 😊.

What a fantastic restaurant! Great atmosphere and friendly service! The spagetti with prawns was one of the best I have EVER eaten. Hats off to the chef! We will be back !

We were there for dinner with 10 people. The operation and service was super nice. The food was served relatively quickly. The problem, however, was the pizzas that were served, they all had more of a biscuit character, by which I mean they were ultra thin and sparsely topped. The taste wasn't bad, but unfortunately none of us got enough of it. I wouldn't order pizza here again. We love pizza, but we're really used to much better. I would describe the pizzas served as pizza bread.

Completely overwhelmed and incompetent service, order taken incorrectly, eating together impossible, food and drinks average at best. Then there was also a dish on the bill that we didn't order. Almost everything that could go wrong went wrong. The offered (and politely declined) epresso on the house couldn't save the evening. Absolutely no risk of repetition.

Very welcoming place, right on the Pegnitz, very nice and super romantic restaurant, with Italian cuisine we ate as if we were in Italy! The pizza was also excellent and we were kindly offered a focaccia! Eating fresh fish! Everything top from the appetizer to the dessert! Highly recommended

Ottima cucina italiana è un gioiello culinario. Ho optato per il menu pesce e mi è sembrato di fare un viaggio attraverso le tradizioni della cucina tipica …. (Ligure, pugliese …). Ogni portata era una piacevole scoperta. Il personale di cucina ha saputo davvero come soddisfare un palato allenato ! Quello di sala garbato, cordiale, disponibile e soprattutto rapido nel raccogliere le ordinazioni. È un'esperienza culinaria che consiglio vivamente a tutti gli appassionati di gastronomia

Went there for dinner today. The rigatoni arrabiata was cold on the edges and a very small portion. It was significantly less than other pasta dishes, sometimes only half as much as other dishes. The Parmesan then took several minutes and was almost finished eating. I was still clearly hungry. I told the waitress that too. She said I could order something else and brought me the card again. Unfortunately she didn't come by to order or just to pay. I went home hungry. An ultimately disappointing evening with a disappointing reaction from the staff.

We sat outside and had a delicious meal. Also this time. As Italian as it gets in Franconia.

The only good thing is the location. Pizza that we waited almost an hour for was too salty. With the capaccio, two tiny slices of white bread and more champions than meat. The only good thing was the service..

Nice place with a great view in the middle of Lauf

Südlich has been one of our favorite restaurants for a long time. The food is excellent, the seating is very nice and the service is TOP. The service has improved significantly in the last few months, has there been a change in tenant? Last year it wasn't nearly as welcoming and it was often impossible to make a reservation by phone. But now everything is good🫶

Spontaneously ate here yesterday. Delicious! Pasta and pizza were excellent. High-quality fresh ingredients, very nice attentive service, top wine selection. Very lovingly furnished restaurant with Italian flair, beautiful outdoor terrace. A restaurant to feel good. Thank you for the wonderful stay with you!

The restaurant is beautifully located and is located directly on the banks of the Pegnitz at the bridge. The Wenzelschlooss and the Schleifermühle are in the immediate vicinity. The restaurant is busy so reservations are recommended. The staff is very friendly and always looks after the well-being of the guests. The food is very tasty. Special and extra requests are taken into account.

Absolutely highly recommended. Very friendly with a nice atmosphere. The place is small, but that shouldn't be a problem. On the contrary. So it's quiet and you can expect appropriate quality. That came too. There were eight of us and no matter what plate came, it looked perfect. The noodles were perfectly cooked and there was no classic ready-made sauce like you often get elsewhere. Prices were absolutely top. Can only be recommended

The ambience is pleasant, right on the bridge and the Italian feeling comes through well. Great photos on the wall that tell stories, great and friendly staff (everyone has a great charisma 😍) The food always tastes very, very good... I personally find some portions (including the salads) quite small for the price quoted, but you can still handle it if you have the money. All in all, I still give it 5 stars. 👌 Keep it up!

I had dinner with friends in the evening and what can I say other than super nice staff and super delicious food. I immediately felt welcome and the cozy atmosphere invites you to linger and relax. The food from the starter to the dessert was completely successful. I had the Vitello tonato, which was just perfect and harmonized perfectly. For the main course I had the spaghetti a la Mafiosi, which was super tasty and perfectly al dente and at the end the tiramisu was to melt away 😋. Always my pleasure

Kleiner gemütlicher Gastraum, kleine Tageskarte und gute Auswahl an Speisen. Eine Reservierung ist erforderlich. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, die Spaghetti und auch der Wein waren sehr lecker.

Wir hatten nur Kaffee und Tiramisu, deshalb kann ich das Essen nicht bewerten. Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Tiramisu war gut, hätte fürmuch ein bisschen mehr Espressogeschmack haben können. Sonst alles top.

Mir hat es gut bei euch gefallen und es hat mir echt gut geschmeckt.

Sehr gutes Restaurant, freundliche Bedienung, sehr guter Salat. Die Nudeln sind in Ordnung. Guter Rotwein. Sehr guter Grappa. Auch bei schlechtem Wetter sehr schön drinnen!! Leider hat dies alles etwas nachgelassen, vielleicht hat der Koch gewechselt? Jedenfalls ist es leider nicht mehr so wie früher.

Die Lage zwischen Altstadt und der Pegnitz mit kleinen Biergarten ist toll. Leider bekommt man spontan schlecht einen Platz draußen im Sommer. Bitte unbedingt vorbestellen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Essen muss sich jeder selber ein Bild machen. Moderate Preise. Innen eher kühl und modern eingerichtet. Die Straße stört etwas.

Wir haben letztes Jahr auf der Durchreise dieses Lokal entdeckt. Vorgestern waren wir wieder in der Nähe unterwegs und beschlossen dort vor der Heimfahrt noch zu essen. Das Lokal füllte sich dann schnell auch im Innenbereich (dem Wetter geschuldet). Dennoch war der Service flott und aufmerksam. Großes Kompliment, da sie nur zu zweit waren! Die Pizza war sehr lecker. Es gibt „klassische“ und auch weiße Pizzen, was man nicht überall findet! Wir kommen gerne wieder :)
