A very nice restaurant, with very nice staff 😊

We happened to pass by there and thought we'd go in there. Pleasantly surprised by the ambience and the food. The portions are huge, the meat is tender as butter, the service is extremely charming. We will go there again at the next opportunity, although I didn't find out whether the toilets are wheelchair accessible.

Very nice old restaurant, i ate so good and délicieux rumsteak with cook potatoes, so big portion., and people are kind and service was fast, you dont wait so long, good placement where they are located . I promised i will come again with mein LIEBLING and have again lunch or dinner there 👍

I ate sour Leberle with fried potatoes again... Simply brutally delicious 🤤 ✌️ It's a down-to-earth, delicious kitchen with lovingly prepared plates at fair prices. The ambience is rustic, but totally fits the atmosphere of the restaurant. The service is super friendly and knows how to deal with the guests. Unfortunately, the toilets don't fit in at all with the rest... Something definitely needs to be done. We always enjoy coming back ☺️

Food is always delicious and sitting in wooden barrels is always great. Unfortunately the portions are always a bit too big for me (even the small ones) but the price is really great for the portions

If you want a good home-style meal... you want a really nice, friendly and sweet service and all of it in a huge wooden barrel... then you've come to the right place! The brewhouse, at first glance not necessarily inviting and chic 😉, impresses with authentic service staff, really good and simple food and a very special flair! And the schnitzel with a side dish and salad for under 15 with a very generous portion is even more impressive! We'd love to come back! Thanks for the great evening

Went there for dinner for the first time today. I chose the rump steak with fried potatoes and salad. The preparation was very quick and the food was delicious. Service was also great! My recommendation!

While I had given 4 stars, I am forced to change my rating, based on my last visit with my friends! Yesterday was Sunday. Around 16.30, we went once again with my company for dinner. We were seven people. We sat in the room facing the Bier Garten, from which a couple had just left. The room was empty, so we were alone there. As the shops happened to be open until 18.00, and the Bier Garten was full, we were willing to wait until we were served. After 10 minutes of waiting, my son told the owner lady that we are sitting in this hall and ready to order. But apart from a smile, he didn't get an answer... Because we could see the Bier Garten from the glass, we could see customers leaving, and customers coming in were served before us! After another quarter, my husband came out and told a blonde young lady serving that we wanted to order. She abruptly said to "wait our turn!" We waited another ten to fifteen minutes, seeing other customers being served before us, when a friend of ours got up to ask if we would finally be able to order. The young blonde lady started yelling in exasperation that "we had to wait our turn"!!! My friend told her she's rude, without getting a response of course, and we left at that moment! We were barely able to and were served in a neighboring restaurant, with extremely friendly staff despite all the pressure of the day! I regret that until now we were customers together with our friends there. While they have good food, their reserved behavior shows unprofessionalism... If they can't serve a few more people, they should have closed that hall.! However, we are not going to go again...

The food is incredibly bad. Steak fried to death, fried potatoes barely fried properly. The cook has to be an amateur because the simplest mistakes are made. Not recommended at all.

Beautiful and good portions on our plates

We actually only came here by chance while passing through on vacation, but the rustic ambience immediately appealed to us. So we went in and asked if we could accommodate two more hungry hikers. Sure, no problem. Although the restaurant was already quite busy, around 6 p.m. on Saturday. Lucky, I would say. The service is extremely friendly, really warm and you get service very quickly, even though it was quite full. That speaks for the good cuisine and they are obviously experienced in dealing with a lot of visitors. Top! There was also live music, 80s hits from Hammond. Totally cool. The food was really great, exactly our taste and what we had imagined. Overall, a nice evening. Delicious beer with it. Perfect. Many thanks again to the hosts. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back if the opportunity arises. You are great!

Wir waren wieder einmal im Sudhaus, was soll ich sagen! Wie immer waren alle zufrieden 😀 ich hatte das Steak vom Rind, es war klasse, Medium und saftig. Die anderen hatten das Schnitzel mit Pommes oder Spätzle. Es gab 2 sehr große Schnitzel für jeden, die einfach nur lecker waren!! Die Beilagen waren so wie sie halt sind, Pommes und Spätzle halt. Soße war lecker und der Salat ok. Das Schnitzel für unglaubliche 12.90€ und das Steak für 23€ 😳😳 Preis Leistung ist hier mit einer 1aaa zu bewerten!! Ambiente ist einfach gut und die Bedienungen sehr nett und schnell. Ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen nicht verstehen, ich war jetzt bestimmt das 6 mal dort zum Essen und immer war alles so wie beschrieben!! Geht hin und schaut selber. Ich komme wieder, ganz bestimmt!!

Seldom eaten so badly. It was clear to see that nothing was fresh and homemade. The worst thing is the women's toilets... disgusting smell, no soap, no towels and just plain dirty.

We went here for dinner; nice to eat outside with the square, the Church and the other buildings in the background. Quick and courteous service, our only difficulty was reading/translating the menu which was only in German. We took spatzle, frankfurters, schnitzel (the "black forest one") and a steak; generous portions (with side dish) and really excellent. Adequate price. Of course the beer is good. Definitely a stop to do. It was all very good.

Well, the waitress doesn't ask how cooked the beef is and forgets special requests when ordering. The quality of the food is ok, but not more than that. The prices are ambitious for the performance.

This is our first time here and it's really really tasty. Big dishes we still have to take some with us. Schnitzel really really tender, well pounded, well breaded. We are with 3 adults and 3 kids and everyone was happy and full. I would love to come back again

Sehr schöne Lage am Münster, ich muss mich ebenfalls meinen Vorrednern anschließen: die Bedienung ist sehr unfreundlich, schmeißt nahezu die Karten auf den Tisch, Salate für 4 Personen werden nicht verteilt sondern am vorderen Tischeck ohne ein Wort abgestellt, auf Nachfragen pampig geantwortet … sodass man keine Lust/ Angst hatte eine neue Frage zu stellen. Essen jedoch war lecker, das Rumpsteak auf den Punkt! All in all: Essen sehr gut, Service miserabel!

We ate here for the first time and it's just great, a nice, cozy restaurant with a nice lounge and the outside area is also very cozy. The food was simply excellent in a nutshell you couldn't do it better. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back. We also liked the nice service, they were very attentive and friendly.

We were positively surprised by the very appealing ambience with tables in wooden barrels, live music, attentive, friendly service, flexible response to special requests (--> smaller portions possible) and good value for money. 'They can make schnitzel!' Absolutely recommended. There wasn't much going on today (Sunday evening). Otherwise it can definitely get louder and quite warm in the barrels.

Old-fashioned restaurant in every respect, from the ambience to the service. The specialty advertised on the menu as a "juicy ground beef steak" turned out to be a dead-fried burger patti with a diameter of 10 cm and a height of just under 1 cm, bone dry and hard. Definitely not recommended...

In der Gaststube / im Restaurant liefen während des Essens zwei große Ratten durch den Raum. Personal darauf abgesprochen, wollte nicht verstehen.

Big name, but unfortunately not what I imagined it to be. Four of us were there at lunchtime, there were enough seats available, now I know why. The ambience was rustic and at first glance exudes coziness. Service was good so far. Some of the menus stick together. The price is ok, but the price/performance ratio is a disgrace. The schnitzels are paper-thin and you can stand them on the edge and lean them against a glass without them buckling. The “schnitzel” is warmed up in the microwave before serving. So already prepared and God knows how long. One dish came with potato salad instead of fried potatoes. When it came to a rump steak, no one asked how you would like it. Fries were thicker than the meat. You eat the breading more. In terms of taste...well, I'll put it this way, the frying fat could be replaced again. Gravy... I laugh. Let's call it slightly brownish colored water. Decorations in the shop were gathering dust, everything was a bit babby. Water was leaking somewhere in the restaurant because there were small puddles to be seen. After the visit, our clothes went straight to the wash. Never, ever again.

Buon locale. Rispetto ad altri pub della città, ci è piaciuta la tranquillità. Spazi un po' ristretti, ma nello stile di un pub. Porzioni abbondanti e cibo ottimo, gestito da italiani, ci aspettavamo qualche aiuto in più nell'interpretazione del menù in tedesco, ma nel complesso il servizio è buono. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo: un'insalata con straccetti di pollo, una bistecca 300 gr di manzo con patate, una birra e un'acqua, speso 36 euro in totale. Consigliati!

Ein traditionelles Lokal, sowie in die 80 er. Schön wenn man noch solchen lokalen vorfinden kann. Die Karte ist übersichtlich und die Preise in Ordnung. Ich hatte ein Wiener Schnitzel und die Portion war sehr groß und hat auch geschmeckt. Weiter so.

Muss mich leider der Rezension mit Paaren leider nicht willkommen anschließen.Erst wurde uns gesagt alle Tische im oberen Bereich wären reserviert. Obwohl alle frei waren ohne Reserviert Schilder. Dann wurden wir in eine Ecke am Eingang gesetzt .Der Tisch war nicht sauber! Wir mussten darauf hin 15 Minuten auf die Karte warten. Als sie dann gebracht wurde, wurden wir gefragt was wir Trinken wollen, wir bestellten zwei Radler,dann nach Zehn Minuten wurden wir nach dem Essen gefragt. Bis dato keine Getränke am Tisch ! Nach ca. weiteren 10 Minuten kam der Salat. Immer noch keine Getränke dann kam das Schnitzel immer noch nichts zu Trinken!! Auf Nachfrage kamen dann endlich die Radler! Wir bestellten Soße, die aber den Tisch nie erreichte. Fazit: Essen nicht gut Service mega unfreundlich, hat nichts im Griff und auch im Team stimmt es nicht was man deutlich gespürt und gehört hat. Da fühlt sich doch der Gast sehr wohl und willkommen 😕😕 Wir sind seit langem nicht mehr dort gewesen,hat sich leider von einem sehr guten Restaurant zu einem sehr schlechtem Restaurant entwickelt.!!!!

Waren als Paar dort, alle Tische reserviert obwohl keine Reservierschilder zu sehen waren, wurden dann in eine Ecke gesetzt der Tisch war noch dreckig 😕 und auch nicht abgewischt habe die Tischdecke umgedreht. Nach 15 Minuten kam die Speisekarte dort wurden wir nach Getränke gefragt wie bestellten . Nach ca 10 Minuten wurde das Essen aufgenommen. Der Salat kam immer noch keine Getränke! Die Schnitzel kamen immer noch keine Getränke. Erst auf Nachfrage wo denn die Zwei Radler bleiben. Wir hatten noch Soße bestellt die den Tisch nie erreicht hat. Fazit: Die Servicekraft mega unfreundlich hat nichts im Griff und im Team stimmt es auch nicht was man leider gehört und der Gast leider zu spüren bekommt. Wir sind seit längerem nicht mehr dort gewesen, leider hat es sich von einem sehr guten Restaurant zu einem schlechten entwickelt. 😕😞

Sehr gutes Essen für einen guten Preis. Fleißiges, freundliches Personal.

Wir saßen in einem riesigen Bierfass, und hatten praktisch keine Wartezeit bis uns der freundliche Kellner die Speisekarten brachte. Es dauerte nur wenige Minuten bis wir unsere Getränke hatten, und das Essen wurde auch sehr schnell serviert. Die Preise sind für das leckere Essen günstig und angemessen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder vorbei.

Unter vier Personen war das Restaurant ausgebucht. Wir waren dann über 1 Stunde an der Bar und siehe da, das Restaurant war nicht voll, so wie sich das die Restaurant-Besitzer erhofften. Dann wurde die Strategie geändert. Wer nach uns kam (auch nur zu Zweit), durfte ohne Reservierung Platz nehmen. Da fühlt man sich mehr als nur verarscht.

In einem urigen Ambiente/Haus befindet sich das Lokal. Wir waren in einem Fass zum Mittagessen. Leckere Gerichte wurden serviert. Mein Rumpsteak (300 Gramm) war superlecker. Wiener Schnitzel und die Bratwurst waren auch sehr lecker. Preis - Leistung Topp

Selbst gemachte Schnitzel, frisch paniert schnell serviert und hervorragend im Geschmack. Gute Größe der Portion. Die Ambiente in der Gaststätte erinnert sehr an ein altes, uriges Restaurant/Gasthaus der Villinger Innenstadt.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung hier... und haben vorher die Rezensionen gelesen, die ja echt dafür sprachen. Geschmacklich ist das Essen ok gewesen gestern, was uns echt irritiert hat, waren die Schnitzel. Mein Mann hatte Jägerschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln. Davor eine Flädlesuppe und einen Salat. Der Salat sowie die Suppe waren echt gut. Dann kam das Jägerschnitzel. Wir hatten sowas noch nie gesehen 😁😁 die beiden Schnitzel waren HAUCHDÜNN.. WIRKLICH,man konnte hindurch schauen.. die Flädle aus der Suppe waren dicker 🤣🤣 das Resultat nach dem wir gegangen waren, war MC DONALDS😀 Der Service war super, gut, schnell und sehr freundlich. Vielleicht hatte der Koch gestern schlechte Laune, eventuell versuchen wir es hier zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt nochmal und hoffen das wir gestern einfach Pech hatten 😀😀

Wir haben dort zwar nicht gegessen, aber was wir gesehen haben, sah gut aus. Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Im Fass sitzt man gemütlich.
