Unfortunately, I had to wait about 40 minutes around lunchtime today before I could even order, and then the sub got cold while the staff were busy processing the many orders. The food was okay, but soggy and completely cold because it had been sitting around for quite a while after being toasted. I really wouldn't recommend this place around lunchtime. 😖

The service was absolutely awful. They didn't listen, and even though I understand they're not working at a breakneck pace, the speed was outrageous. A footlong sandwich was filled incorrectly, and I didn't even say anything. I ordered the second one, a 15cm sub, because there was a special offer this week where it was free. What wasn't at all clear, however, was that you needed vouchers for that. I had no idea – it really wasn't mentioned anywhere – and then they waved them in my face, gave me annoyed looks, rolled their eyes, and still charged me the full price. Never again.

Here, the sandwiches aren't made according to the customer's wishes, but rather according to the employee's. I had to ask a young Black employee four times what the sandwich was for because I definitely wasn't paying for it with those ingredients. I know other Subway locations and I have to say that they fill their sandwiches more generously. The filling isn't that much because the sandwiches are very thin, and then they're filled very minimally here. A half sub doesn't even get a spoonful of meat; half a sub is perfectly sufficient. One cucumber, one tomato, two olives, six kernels of corn, and two meticulously counted arugula leaves. That's what I got when I said "complete, please." Well, I know better Subways. It's time to visit them again. The sandwiches are good, but the employees and the value for money are inadequate. I won't be going to this branch in the future.

Today, November 23rd, around 3 PM, I ordered from Lieferando because I wanted to have a relaxing Sunday. The delivery arrived, but it contained completely the wrong sandwiches. I paid over €30, including cookies. I called several times, but no one answered. To return them, I had to drive there in the middle of a snowstorm. When I pointed out the incorrect delivery, the employee seemed very annoyed. She inspected the baguettes critically and reluctantly agreed to redo the order. There was no attempt to say "sorry" or to handle the situation in a customer-friendly manner. Her colleague then started making the sandwiches again, but they were wrong again and had to be corrected. She then wanted to throw the old sandwiches away; I should have asked if I wanted to take them. There was no compensation, no apology (mistakes happen, but the way the situation was handled was the most unprofessional I've ever experienced), instead just annoyed faces, snappy behavior, and rudeness beyond belief. When I then saw that the phone was right by the cash register, I told the employee that I had called several times, but no one answered. She replied that it probably sometimes doesn't work... I think it was deliberately ignored, since the store was empty when we arrived and the phone was lit up red due to missed calls/voicemail messages. Once home, after trying the sandwiches, it quickly became apparent that the bread wasn't even toasted properly. The overall experience was abysmal, which is a shame. I won't be ordering from them or going there again.

Ordered via app. Received completely the wrong sandwiches. Unreachable by phone. Had to go there in person to have the order corrected. No understanding, no apology, no compensation for the trouble of making the trip. The server was also unfriendly and annoyed. The new order would have been wrong too if they hadn't corrected it on the spot. Overall, a really bad experience instead of a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Not recommended, and unfortunately, this will be my last time here.

I went to Subway again after a long time. And it immediately reminded me why I hadn't been there in so long. I ordered a Footlong Philly Beef – but apparently got the "homeopathic dose" of meat. The ladle was, if anything, only a third full. My question about whether that was really all was completely ignored by the employee. Maybe he was working in a parallel universe – who knows. Since I'm not one for arguments, I paid, took it to go, and ate it… Well… with great difficulty, at least. Since my complaint was successfully ignored in person, I'm writing this here now – maybe someone will at least hear it. That's it for me and this branch. If I'm going to be ripped off, I'll at least find a place where they put in more effort.

Then I ordered two cookies, one chocolate chip rainbow candy and one chocolate chunk. The chocolate chunk arrived but the chocolate chip rainbow was missing and was replaced by a chocolate chunk. It was very disappointing but at least I got a different cookie. I'll order again. I'd rather not.

Last night, we specifically checked how late Subway would be open. Google and the store door listed opening hours until 11:00 PM. However, the employee present said that opening hours are the same as working hours and therefore decided the store would close at 10:30 PM. There were still five potential customers standing outside. We pointed out the opening hours on the door and were kicked out. To top it all off, the employee locked the door in our faces at 10:35 PM. That's not how I imagine customer service. Of course, employees are entitled to a well-earned rest, but then the opening hours should also be officially adjusted and not left open to interpretation...

Of course, I don't know every employee, but the ones who were there today seemed very unpleasant and listless. Furthermore, the entire sub was shriveled and outdated. The salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, and bread were also beyond acceptable. Hygiene seemed to be a secondary concern. I'm not expecting a Game of Thrones remake, but they should be able to meet the minimum requirements. At least the ambiance was quite nice, but that was about it.

Yesterday, when I visited Subway for the first time in a long time, my mother and I received a warm welcome and super friendly and detailed advice regarding the toppings for our subs. 👍🏽☺️ The baguettes were generously filled and, thanks to the great advice, a taste explosion in the best sense of the word! At the same time, there was apparently a new employee or young man on a trial basis who was being introduced to the menu in a calm and friendly manner. 😃 Delicious and fast food. Quiet and clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and good value for money, as the menus and other items are reasonably priced. 👍🏼

I ordered by delivery. Two 30-piece subs. The salad only had red onions and pickled cucumbers. I specifically wrote in the notes function that I'd like plenty of both, since I hadn't chosen any other ingredients. That should be normal, right, if you deselect the other 10 or so salad ingredients? What arrived were two subs, one with 5 and one with 6 slices of cucumber. And maybe 12-13 pieces of onion on both subs combined. Extremely dry, the ends of the bread were like rusks, as if they'd been sitting around since this morning. Never again.

Employees only know the bare minimum. This already causes problems with orders through Lieferando. Additionally, the order couldn't be prepared due to a torn (i.e., much too old) wrap... which they tried to prepare anyway. Recently, some inspector had 42 ready-to-prepare loaves of bread thrown out of the cupboard. I'm now waiting for my refund from Lieferando customer support, because they had no technical knowledge or anything helpful on site other than sayings like, "Do something, I don't know anything"... (You can see the crumbling, torn edges of the wrap)

Absolutely incompetent and stingy staff. Three out of three orders had to be corrected; the fries were soggy (inedible), and the only correction was "put it back in the oven." The subs were exceptionally thin on the toppings, and they were very skimping on ingredients. You're not used to that kind of chain. Basically, the employees just displayed a lack of understanding about everything. And what's with that huge pile of receipts on the floor next to the cash register? All the tables are dirty, by the way. Just go to the one in the main station.

So the food was okay, that wasn't the problem. The service was really bad. Both women who were serving there were unfortunately incompetent. They didn't ask if we wanted to order anything else (because that's what we actually wanted), nor did they take our order properly. They didn't ask, spoke very quietly, and there was generally a very depressed and dreary mood and atmosphere. Because they didn't ask if we wanted to order anything else, we had to wait until they had finished the next three orders before they could take our last one. This meant it took an extremely long time, and while we were waiting for the last order, the first two had already gone cold. What a shame.

Finally, Subway again, we thought. Even though we avoid Wuppertal, we're avoiding the plague. The staff were absolutely unfriendly, disinterested, and annoyed (today, May 21, 2025, 10 p.m.). We had to ask or specify what we wanted on it ourselves. After we chose an ingredient, the baguette was simply shoved into the oven without asking and had to be taken out again because we weren't even given the opportunity to specify any extra ingredients in advance. The only response we got was "Cost extra." Yeah, we know. They don't need to point it out five times if we've already said it three times, we know. The cash register was mishandled several times, so we couldn't even pay. There were no cookies left (could have been the time of day, of course). Absolutely not recommended today, but that was definitely the fault of the staff. The atmosphere is just absolutely unpleasant, in the middle of Wuppertal, but that's not the staff's fault. At least the restrooms were clean. Normally, there's also a "uniformed discount," but no one wanted to know about it. Apparently, the manager was contacted, who also apparently didn't want to know anything about it. They kindly gave us coupons, but only after the discussion arose. There was always a "uniformed discount," but suddenly it wasn't anymore. We didn't have salt and pepper either; we only noticed this when subsequent customers asked for it themselves. They simply didn't ask for anything; you would have had to think of everything yourself. We're definitely not used to that kind of thing from there. I hope your employees are properly trained so that when we come back (it tastes delicious), we can expect the same level of service as usual. I've rarely seen such listless, disinterested employees. No customer communication, etc. Today was definitely not a pleasant experience.

Disaster! We ordered six subs and ALL were wrong. We called there and were just cheekily told that we had six subs and that it was a small matter. Nothing was right and nothing was marked. We had plant-based baguettes with us, but these weren't marked either. Breads, toppings, sauces, really everything mixed up. We had to throw away the entire order (allergies/intolerances/vegetarians, there was no other option). We don't yet know whether we will get the money back. Tonight, January 2nd, 2025 at 7:30 p.m., I was there with a friend and we each ordered a chicken teriyaki meal. As a side dish we wanted the Waffle Fries. Unfortunately the fries were totally soggy and not fresh! You noticed that immediately. We couldn't eat them. When I asked the employee about it, he was super rude and said that they wouldn't take the waffle fries back. Either we would have to eat them or they would be thrown away - according to him. I then said that we didn't want to eat the fries and would rather have two cookies instead. The employee explained that we would then have to pay extra for the cookies. We left the waffle fries behind and the employee refused to refund us the money for them. The sandwiches were also a disappointment: they didn't taste good, the meat wasn't fresh and had a super unpleasant taste! I asked to speak to the boss, but he said he wasn't there. I've never experienced anything like this! I have been a loyal customer for five years but after this incident I definitely won't come again. I can only advise everyone to avoid it! One star is already too many!

Delivery orders also arrive at this branch. Now staffing a sub is relatively time-consuming anyway, when external orders come in and there are only two employees there on Saturday evenings, one of whom is apparently completely untrained, so an order like that can be quite stressful. All information is requested several times, misunderstood, there is very loud (unpleasant) music playing, which doesn't make communication easier, every 1.5 minutes the "fire alarm" of a delivery order... By the time all 4 subs were ready, the first one was cold again. The restaurant was dirty, not all bread and drinks were available, and there were no baskets for eating on site, which left the employee briefly perplexed. Subs were still tasty, but the service and "ambience" were really subpar here.

We were probably there for the last time... Our past visits have always been minor incidents. Once the cookies ran out, then there were problems with the coupons. The toilets are also very disgusting. Today, from our point of view, they shot the bird. When we entered the store they said there were no baguettes except honey oats. These will cool down in about 10 minutes. We said we wanted to wait and asked to be notified when they were ready and sat down. Over the next 20 minutes, several people entered, all able to order. And left - with orders. We were no longer informed. When 2 of 3 men put on their jackets and - presumably taking a break - left the store, we left too. What a shame!

Luckily, this subway has reopened and boasts such friendly and professional staff. It is always clean and the employees go out of their way to satisfy the customer. Special requests are taken into consideration and hygiene is the top priority here; for gluten-free bread and meatless, the gloves are naturally changed and extra care is taken without having to ask. I have to give special praise to the young gentleman with the dark hair and tattoos. Very accommodating and polite and it was the best sub I've ever had. Sometimes I still dream about it. 100/10 stars!

Pre-ordered and half of the ingredients were missing!! Not even cheese!! I can also make a dry bread roll myself. It can't be that hard to work through a list... otherwise you won't be allowed to offer pre-orders if you're not able to do so!!!

This subway seems modern to me. That's it. Toilets were locked because the staff said they were broken. There was a lot of savings on salad etc. on the sub, but there was a lot of sauce. The app rewards (upgrade to menu) are not available at this restaurant, I'm told, even though it says so in the app. The cookie tasted very dry, like it was several days old. I had to specifically ask for a receipt. I'm not coming back.

The ambience is nice. It was clean and attractively designed. The sub was also prepared with care, fresh and delicious. We were also served in a friendly and patient manner. Therefore I cannot confirm the many negative reports. You can certainly have different opinions about the prices, but if the prices are too high for you, you just won't go. In any case, we got a very tasty and plentiful sub for our money. I would only have liked the restaurant to warn me about the parking fee practices or to be made aware of it. As soon as we were inside, someone jumped out of the car and gave us a €35 ticket. That was pretty intense because of a little thoughtlessness, especially since the parking lot was almost empty. As I said, I would have liked Subway to point this out again or remind you to remember to use the parking disc.

Catastrophe!!! Just waited 20 minutes until you could place your order and then waited another 20 minutes for the food... Despite few customers and 3 employees behind the counter, well, one employee unfortunately had to entertain her child at the same time and was still the fastest. At least the food tastes good.

We have been to different subways the last few times and unfortunately these visits were very disappointing. On Saturday we thought we would test it again in Wuppertal after it had been closed for so long. I have to say I was finally excited again. Super nice employees who finally gave us the feeling that they simply wanted to make us as customers happy. Very nice and open to any requests on our part. Many thanks to Georges, Hakan, Boris and Giuilia. We'll definitely be back!

I placed an order through Uber Eats and drove there. A few customers were standing in front of me, so I tried to survey for a moment. I then went to the checkout and asked for my order. The lady at the checkout was totally overwhelmed and couldn't place my order. After more than 5 minutes. She asked me my first name and the order was already there for 10 minutes. The cookies were also forgotten in the bag. If I had left, I would have paid for cookies that were not included. What could be so difficult about that? Incomprehensible to me, a real shame. The B.M.T was tasty, but the SubMelt was dry and no longer really edible.

I found myself standing in front of a locked door again, which unfortunately happens quite often. The staff, however, seem to have no problem with it... When they finally arrive, they have all the time in the world and don't feel the need to hurry to open the shop. For me, that was the last time.
