I can't understand the bad reviews here. We were served extremely quickly and in a friendly manner and enjoyed a delicious sub. Even when the restaurant got busier, all customers were served politely and competently. Truly excellent!

Unfortunately, the colleague behind the counter couldn't understand me, or perhaps he didn't want to. His colleague joining him didn't help matters. Almost everything we ordered was mixed up. However, they salvaged things somewhat with the salad, and with plenty of dressing, it went down quite well.

A rude (female) waitress. Our children wanted to order, but without asking, she told them what to order. It was immediately pointed out that only card payments or the exact amount had to be paid in cash! My child then wanted to know the amount, which was not mentioned! My child was only concerned about whether their cash was sufficient in case the card didn't work, so they left without buying anything. Then they went back in together. The female waitress was very rude to us, too. She immediately snapped at my nephew that he wasn't allowed to drink the drink he had brought with him because it wasn't purchased there. It's strange that in a store like this, there's no change, but they accept cash, and they can't even give you €0.20-€1 in change. When I spoke to Ms. Stefanie Grothe and I will send her a message about what kind of employees she employs there, the waitress suddenly became unbelievably hypocritically nice out of nowhere. It's a shame there are lots of nice people looking for work!

It's 45 degrees Celsius in the shed, and the nice gentleman doesn't want to open the door, even though there are 20 people in the shop. He insists it stays closed, probably so no one sits down with them and they don't have to clean anything. Impossible.

Very poor service. The staff barely speaks German. It also seems as if the two employees are completely unfamiliar with the Subway ordering process and the products themselves. They're probably the ones who are the least to blame for that. The cash register can only be operated with telephone assistance. At the end, a single amount appears on the cash register, with no overview or traceability due to the lack of a monitor. The store is very hot, the dishwasher is very loud, and the portable air conditioner, whose exhaust hose hangs through the open door, doesn't contribute anything positive to the situation. Outside, the umbrellas aren't open at 27°C. At least the food tasted just like in all other Subway branches. I won't be coming back.

Criticism of processes at Subway Bad Schwartau The situation at Subway in Bad Schwartau has become truly disappointing. The new staff is apparently struggling with the cash register system – you stand at the checkout for five to ten minutes and nothing happens. Meanwhile, the freshly prepared food simply gets cold. Even if you ask for the amount to be debited normally at the official price, it's not done. It seems as if the staff on site can't make any decisions on their own. Unfortunately, there's no way to contact the owner anymore – which makes improvements or queries practically impossible. As a customer, you quickly lose patience and even the desire to return. -

I've been a loyal Subway customer for many years, but what I experienced today at this branch was simply disappointing. Even though the store was completely empty, I had to wait over 35 minutes for my order. My sub was actually ready after about 5 minutes, but then I stood at the checkout for over half an hour because the two employees didn't know how to handle the current menu. One was on her first day, the other on her fourth. Both were completely overwhelmed. On top of that, they didn't speak German, which made communication extremely difficult. Particularly annoying: The churro, which was part of my meal, was completely unknown to both of them – even though it's currently being actively promoted. Only a third colleague, who happened to be in the store on business, was able to help me. Now I'm sitting here with a cold sub for €11.49 and seriously wondering how such an experience is even possible at an international chain. No training, no support, no organization. Absolutely disappointing. I never normally write reviews, but I just have to, in the hope that something will change. You can't treat customers like this in the long run.

The employee was completely unmotivated, under time pressure, and deliberately slowed down cleaning the counter instead of serving us. The time was 8:50 PM, and I was there on August 3, 2025. I won't be going back to that store...they would have easily had enough time to serve us, because our bus arrives at 9:05 PM. They really should be careful about the kind of people they hire. They're ruining their business by employing people like that.

It's been a while since I've been to the store. After not having such a good experience the last few times, I wanted to give it another chance. The employee didn't seem particularly motivated. I don't know if it was the loud music or the earpiece that made it difficult for him to fully understand my order, but I can overlook that. While my sub was in the oven, I was able to pay. He was already complaining that he didn't have any change. If I don't have change, I have to put up a sign saying that only card payments are accepted at the moment, which isn't a problem. While I was checking out, I noticed that the employee hadn't taken off the gloves he was wearing to prepare the sub. After every last cent had been paid, the sub was finished. To my horror, the gloves weren't changed. That's an absolute no-go. The store management needs to retrain them. After I asked him about the purpose of the gloves, I only received an indifferent response. No apology or understanding. If the store hadn't been so busy, I would have loved to have the sub reassembled.

Very bad store with bad staff. After I finished my order and wanted to return the deposit bottle I purchased there, the staff, neither of whom spoke German, were very overwhelmed and didn't want to take my bottle back. When paying, the staff had no change in the cash register and couldn't give change. The place used to be really good, but that was definitely the last time I ate there.

Mega bad service and unfriendly. We (me and two kids) came with vouchers for the current promotion and when we showed them we were immediately asked whether the three of us live in the same household because we only took one coupon per promotion After all, we should be happy that paper vouchers are accepted, that's what they say. Normally we should download the app. I said "Good, then I'll come in again..." but the answer: "Even then we won't take a voucher..." Okay - kids grabbed and our money spent somewhere else... So last time I was here...

The food is very tasty, but sometimes you have to wait a few minutes because no one is there. Food is made fresh. Cookies don't sit around for too long. There is relatively little space in the store, which is not so nice in the winter. Nice employees. But the card reader goes crazy every now and then.

Just twenty minutes ago we got two ice-cold subs with hair in them, then the staff tried hard and fast to find out what was wrong using Google translate. Then we just wanted to put the already eaten sub back in the oven (hygiene is a priority). The new subs ten minutes ago were then baked with paper and lettuce and therefore they were inedible. In addition, half of the ingredients were missing. We really have a stomach ache now. Never had such a bad experience in a restaurant. Be careful when choosing employees.

I suspect probably the smallest SW in the world!!!😜🤣 But it was a really great atmosphere, the employee who served us was really nice and everyone had fun, she didn't seem to mind my fooling around and, happily, given the time of day, she even played along!! Respect!!🤪 You really can't complain about the quality of the end product, as always, everything tasted very good and we licked our fingers!😋 I'm sure that I can also say on behalf of my accompanying guest that, based on our experience, we can recommend them without hesitation!!🫶

Preferably no star at all!! To this day, the branch in Bad Schwartau has always been our favorite. But thanks to the non-service-oriented employees who were on shift in the branch today, Friday March 8th, 2024 around 7:30 p.m. It's probably the last visit. When asked if you could leave something out of the sub because of allergies, the answer was then you just have to take something else. Unfortunately there may not be any other choice!! Apparently service is no longer really important and apparently people don't want to make money either!! It's a shame, but it's better to support smaller companies before you end up in the hospital with an allergic shock!!

Hallo, wir waren am Freitag, den 6. Oktober abends gegen 20 Uhr dort. Wir betraten die Filiale und standen minutenlang allein am Tresen. Kein Mitarbeiter in Sicht. Irgendwann kam dann doch mal ein Mitarbeiter von hinten zum Tresen. Er fragte, was wir bekommen, verstand aber nur die Hälfte. Wir mussten immer wieder wiederholen, was wir gerne hätten. Sonderlich freundlich war er dabei auch nicht. Während er unsere Bestellung bearbeitete, kam irgendwann eine zweite Mitarbeiterin von hinten dazu, die ihm dann half, unsere Bestellung zu bearbeiten. Wir waren zu viert. Die drei bestellten Subs hatten alle "wabbeliges" Brot, das deutlich zu kurz im Ofen war. Die Kartoffelspalten unserer Tochter waren überhaupt noch nicht durch. Wie beim vorherigen Besuch einige Wochen zuvor waren sämtliche Tische dreckig. Haufen von Salat, Röstzwiebeln und so weiter "dekorierten" die Tische. Das ist umso unverständlicher, wenn doch vor unserem Besuch der Laden komplett leer war und beide Mitarbeiter erst irgendwann "ganz gechillt" von hinten zurück zum Tresen kamen. Es dauert nur eine so kurze Zeit, die wenigen Tische zu wischen und macht doch so viel aus. Wir werden diese Filiale nicht mehr besuchen!

Seit etwa drei Jahren besuche ich diese Subway Filiale. Seit 2023 bin ich allerdings nicht mehr begeistert. Die Musik ist meist sehr laut, das Personal überfordert und unfreundlich. Eine Dame versteht schlecht deutsch sodass meine Zutaten und Soßen des öfteren falsch waren und sie mich einfach nicht verstanden hat. Leider wurden auch die Preise enorm angehoben. Die Sauberkeit lässt innen und außen sehr zu wünschen übrig. Auf meine Bitte den Sonnenschirm aufzuspannen wurde gesagt, dafür haben wir keine Zeit. Ich möge es selber machen. Schade...

Leider erlebe ich es immer wieder, dass die Mitarbeiter/innen keine Ahnung haben was für Produkte sie haben. Wenn ich nach einem glutenfreien Sub frage, verstehen die meisten das garnicht und wissen auch nicht was damit gemeint ist. Die anderen, sagen einfach es gibt keins, obwohl man dann 2 Stunden später bei der anderen Schicht doch welche bekommt. Es ist wirklich toll, dass Ihr glutenfreie Subs anbietet, aber es bringt leider nichts, wenn angeblich keine da sind oder die Mitarbeiter keine Ahnung davon haben.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, das Personal ist von sehr nett und kompetent bis hin zu sehr unerfahren. Auch die Einrichtung ist für die paar Quadratmeter gut gelungen. Als Kritikpunkt ist daher auch zu erwähnen das es keine Toilette gibt.

Ansicht gut, lecker und auch soweit sauber. Aber an dem Musikkonzept sollte man vielleicht ein wenig arbeiten, ich weiß nicht ob teils vulgärer HipHop & GangstaRap so die Beste Musikwahl ist, zumal dort auch Eltern mit ihren kleinen Kindern essen gehen. Macht jetzt nicht so den besten Eindruck. Daher erstmal nur 3*, und 1* für das Ambiente, sollte sich das wieder bessern, gibt es gerne wieder mehr Sterne. So aber kaum auszuhalten, wenn man dort sitzt und etwas essen möchte.

War früher gern und regelmäßig da (und hätte da auch volle Punktzahl vergeben), mittlerweile hat die Qualität und die Motivation der Mitarbeiter aber sehr nachgelassen. Subs aufschneiden, Geld abkassieren und mit denselben Handschuhen das Sub belegen geht GAR nicht (war letztes Jahr wo noch strengere Corona-Regeln herrschten). Vor ca. 2 Wochen mittags war der gesamte Zubereitungsbereich sehr siffig, rotes Zeug (Tomaten? Sauce?) auf dem Scheibenkäse, braun angelaufener Salat und das schlimmste waren die Behälter der Saucen, alle total mit ihrem Inhalt vollgeschmoddert, sorry, da isst man dann nicht mehr mit Appetit :(

Gute Sandwich, schmecken wie immer bei Subway. Das Brot war etwas zu kross gebacken, wie normalerweise, aber ich fand es gut. 13.3.2022 Leider hängt die Qualität und Freundlichkeit sehr von dem jeweiligem Personal ab .Heute später Nachmittag sehr unfreundlich, auf bitten etwas mehr Salat auf dem Sub zu machen da ich keine weiteren Beilagen möchte wurden noch 3Blätter zugelegt.Sub wurde nicht richtig verpackt so das mir im Bus eine Hälfte raus gefallen ist .Da vergeht einem die Lust .

Wie immer: Sehr leckere Subs mit individueller Brotsorte und individuellem Belag. Geduldig und freundlich zubereitet von der netten Servicekraft. Es gibt sogar glutenfreies Brot (leider tiefgefroren, aber das geht ja schlecht anders) und veganes Huhn (übrigens auch glutenfrei 😏).

Ich liebe den Thunfisch Sub mit Frischkäse und Honey Onionsauce, ebenso wie das zum Tages Geschmack passende Gemüse, dass ich immer wieder nach meinem Gusto aussuchen kann. Für schnell mal zwischendurch bei wenig Zeit zum Mittag oder Abend, perfekt. Nette Bedienung in Bad Schwartau.

Bei Sitzungen und größeren regional Treffen bestellen wie die großen Platten mit den unterschiedlichsten Subs, normal, vegetarisch mit bestimmten Broten, Saucen, Belägen... Immer wieder frisch, lecker und beliebt. Wenn man das rechtzeitig bestellt, ist es jedes Mal genau zur besprochenen Abholzeit fertig.

Wie in anderen Filialen auch, gibt's hier solides Essen zum fairen Preis. Für mich gehört es vor dem Besuch im Kino nebenan einfach dazu - und das Essen ist besser und günstiger als ebenda. Überzeugend: die sehr flotte Arbeit des Teams in Bad Schwartau, so könnte es gerne auch an anderen Standorten sein...

When we entered the restaurant on an early Wednesday evening, we were the only guests—and remained so until just before we left at 6:45 p.m. We had a strange feeling about being alone in the large room with its many tables and chairs for such a long time... The service was friendly, and the menus were brought promptly. They were attractively and clearly laid out, offering the usual repertoire of Greek dishes. I opted for a small non-alcoholic beer for €4.10 and the No. 43 chicken breast fillet with fries or rice, tzatziki, and salad, plus Metaxa or cream sauce for €24.50. I asked for all sauces to be omitted, which they did, but the price wasn't reduced. The meat was tender, the fries crispy, and the tzatziki delicious. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, onions, a bell pepper, a bit of dressing, an eighth of a slightly dried-out tomato, and an even drier slice of cucumber. ... A complimentary ouzo is included. All in all, I find the price of €24.50 far too high for this dish.

An incredibly rude young woman works at this restaurant. I've never experienced such insolence in any other restaurant. Even though I was a regular customer, I was very rudely told that we could only stay for an hour because only three out of five people had eaten, and that she would then kick us out. My colleague's steaks were burnt, and after complaining to the supposed manager, she was told she had mentioned it too late and had to pay the full price. Despite complaining, my colleague reluctantly paid for the burnt food and said she would never come back. The waitress replied, "It's not a big deal." A Muslim woman was with us, and the rude waitress served her food with the words, "The meat is overcooked because foreigners always complain." What a racist remark! The food tasted awful, and they were clearly trying to get rid of us. We all paid immediately without a tip and were practically laughed at with the ironic words, "Have a nice evening." I warn everyone against eating at this low-quality restaurant and subjecting themselves to this abysmal service. Dear spa guests, avoid this strange restaurant to avoid ruining your evening!!! In short: never again. Unfortunately, zero stars isn't an option.

Very friendly and attentive staff, with whom you can also have a good laugh. The new, flexible, covered outdoor terrace with glass panels on the sides greatly enhances the restaurant's ambiance, creating a vacation feeling even in bad weather. I was very satisfied with the food, but taste is always a matter of personal preference. 🍀 Best regards, H.D. 😉
