Longhorn Steakhouse in Bad Schwartau

An incredibly rude young woman works at this restaurant. I've never experienced such insolence in any other restaurant. Even though I was a regular customer, I was very rudely told that we could only stay for an hour because only three out of five people had eaten, and that she would then kick us out. My colleague's steaks were burnt, and after complaining to the supposed manager, she was told she had mentioned it too late and had to pay the full price. Despite complaining, my colleague reluctantly paid for the burnt food and said she would never come back. The waitress replied, "It's not a big deal." A Muslim woman was with us, and the rude waitress served her food with the words, "The meat is overcooked because foreigners always complain." What a racist remark! The food tasted awful, and they were clearly trying to get rid of us. We all paid immediately without a tip and were practically laughed at with the ironic words, "Have a nice evening." I warn everyone against eating at this low-quality restaurant and subjecting themselves to this abysmal service. Dear spa guests, avoid this strange restaurant to avoid ruining your evening!!! In short: never again. Unfortunately, zero stars isn't an option.

Service was quick, and the atmosphere was okay. Unfortunately, the steaks weren't very good: the beef tasted very sour on two (!) different plates. The turkey and pork were alright, but almost too dry and nothing special. The fried potatoes and bread were also just average. We probably won't be back. What a shame.

We went to the steak house yesterday, and it was simply fantastic! The food was excellent – the steaks were truly delicious and cooked to perfection. One wasn't quite as cooked as I like, but it was immediately and easily rectified. That's exactly how you'd expect it to be. The service was truly outstanding: always friendly, attentive, and quick. They checked several times to make sure everything was okay. When our son spilled his water glass, someone was there immediately and sorted everything out in a relaxed and friendly manner. You rarely experience such great service – you can really tell that the people here enjoy their jobs. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back. Absolutely recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Simply awful!...the potato gratin was a disgrace (day-old potatoes doused in milk, salt, and pepper), canned mushrooms with the 30 Euro steak, I beg you. The Longhorn is busy this Saturday at lunchtime, but we manage to get a table by the window. The restaurant is interestingly decorated, with a few eye-catching features. Service is quick, relaxed, and always with a funny comment. Drinks arrive promptly, and we wait a maximum of 15 minutes for our food. The grilled vegetables with beef are delicious, but the vegetables could have been a bit more varied. The beef is well-cooked and there's plenty of it. The salad with chicken and shrimp was fine. We left full and satisfied. All in all, including tip, it came to just under €60.

Really good! We were all thrilled after our two visits. The food is great, and the prices on the menu are, in my opinion, reasonable and also quite reasonable for what you get. For three people, you get delicious meat and great sides + a drink for €60. The sauce for the steak snack is really good, and even I liked the mushrooms, even though I don't usually like them. We always went there for lunch and enjoyed the sunshine in the courtyard. It's a bit too gloomy inside for me personally, so I prefer to visit in the summer when you can sit outside. It's on two levels with umbrellas and cute plants. I'm not a steak expert, but to me, the meat tastes high-quality and really good. The service is great, and the staff are super friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend it!

Today the two of us decided to try out the asparagus offer. Unfortunately, the asparagus was very thin and woody and also not fully cooked. The pork schnitzel was not properly pounded and the breading was unfortunately not crispy. Both the hollandaise and the schnitzel made me feel like I was eating a convenience product. And I've had better asparagus from a jar. For 22 euros per portion, we were full for about 2 hours until hunger set in again. But that was foreseeable given the (if any) 2 potatoes on my plate. The service person was friendly and immediately warmed up additional holandaise when I asked for it. Unfortunately, the bowl that came with the meal wasn't enough. In this restaurant, for unfortunately too much money, you can get the quality that can be quickly created at home with canned goods, an oven and a stove.

Tasty and inexpensive. The service is also nice and usually attentive. Some chairs are a bit worn out and need to be repaired. Due to the open design of the restaurant and the high ceilings, it can get very loud in some places when a large group of people dine there.

Staff friendly, steak good, but over €91 including 2 children's plates is quite self-confident when even the children go out hungry afterwards. I didn't expect that a steakhouse would serve 5 chuck nuggets made of molded meat with a small portion of fries and a tablespoon of ketchup for €7.50. There is significantly better quality at Aldi (Jack's Farm).

Bei einer Geburtstagsfeier am 9. Feb. erhielt ich das schlechteste Ribeyesteak meines Lebens. Das Filetsteak meines Sohnes war etwas besser, aber auch nicht toll. Nur die Damen waren mit ihrem kleinen Steak einigermaßen zufrieden. Werde ich bei der nächsten Geburtstagsfeier nicht nochmals aufsuchen.

Unfortunately the steak was quite tough. As a view option, there is a glass front to the next table, where you can watch the person next to you eating, or the window to the unkempt courtyard with paper waste and rotting leaves. Service was very friendly. Amount on the plate manageable. You could have done it once, but in my opinion it's not a highlight.

Our visit was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. For starters we had bruschetta which was incredibly fresh and delicious. For the main course I ate a perfectly cooked 300 gram sirloin steak with baked potatoes and the best garlic bread I've ever tasted - simply heavenly! The mushroom cream sauce and the crispy croquettes were also a 10/10 and rounded off the taste experience perfectly. The service was excellent – ​​attentive, friendly and professional. We (couple) had lunch at the Longhorn on September 27th, 2024. We ordered 2x pork loin steaks with fried potatoes, mushrooms and onions for 10.90 each. Not only were the dishes freshly prepared (nothing from a can), they were also very tasty. In addition, the waiter was very friendly, accommodating and we had a good conversation. 5 stars from us...

We had reserved a table for 4 people for a long time. Unfortunately, the food was not as expected: the meat we ordered medium was unfortunately not cooked all the way through and was therefore rare in parts. Contrary to what was stated on the menu - approx. 200g of meat - the steak snack contained a maximum of 100g of meat, which was not seasoned and otherwise quite tasteless. The fried potatoes didn't deserve their name and identified themselves as chopped potatoes in warm - not hot - oil tossed with partly raw, large pieces of onion. The garlic bread served was unevenly cooked - as expected, crispy on one side, and an almost raw baked baguette on the other. The salad with the steak was dressed with a very watery American dressing. Only the sirloin steak itself was satisfactory - apart from the degree of doneness, which was also uneven. The service can be improved: throwing beer mats and change is just as inappropriate as throwing a tray in the guest's face while the drink is being served.

This was my third and final attempt at a decent steak. The rump steaks are of poor quality. Hard to cut even with a knife. Orders were months apart, always the same result INEDIBLE. Fish is frozen goods and poorly prepared. Cheaply made sauces. All in all, below average quality. Anyone who gives more than 3 stars here has no idea about quality meat. Price performance is not right at all. The service, on the other hand, is very friendly and the store is otherwise clean.

1 week ago I tried the Longhorn Steak House for a birthday 🎂 meal... There were four of us...I told Mom on her advice that she would like to reserve a table...because it was the weekend... We had arranged to meet at 6 p.m.... We waited briefly at the counter until we were assigned our seats... we sat straight through with a view of the market square... The menu was quickly brought to us, we asked what drinks we wanted and we chose the one we were hungry for... The meal was then received promptly and special requests were also taken into account...great... Less than 1/2 hour waiting time, even though the restaurant was already very busy... That speaks for a well-coordinated team... Mom had ordered salmon in cream sauce, my sister heart...beef steak, baked potato with sour cream and side dishes from the menu...my nephew... turkey steak with side dishes of your choice and a small salad. For me, I asked if I could choose/order mushrooms and onions for the baked potato with sour cream... as it is sometimes still difficult... to eat meat... no problem... it was everything recorded the way we wanted it... The plates looked very attractive and plentiful... We enjoyed it very much. The service staff also regularly came to the table and asked if we had any further requests or if we wanted to order something else... So you're welcome to order something...which we used... We were at the Longhorn for about 2 1/2 hours and when we left, the restaurant was really full... even the back room that was booked for the upcoming birthday was well occupied... It was a lovely evening with the family... we'll definitely be happy to come back... not just for our birthday 🎂...
