The location of the beach cafe is very nice. The service staff are also attentive and friendly. Drinks and food are delivered very quickly. However, we experienced more than one major disappointment with the asparagus we ordered. The asparagus was not peeled properly and was more than al dente. Afterwards we really regretted not finishing the meal. When we cleared the table, we brought this to the attention of the restaurant manager, but we were only told that it would be passed on to the kitchen. Our conclusion: Drinks, cake and ice cream are recommended, but the other €50 can be better invested.

Schnitzel not through. If you ask for the full amount of the bill, you will be offered a coffee.

We were there at the end of April during asparagus season, on the first day of the summer menu. All around successful restaurant visit. Great selection, delicious food, great service and the seats right on the Spree, in the best weather, also a great ambience. We were really satisfied. You're happy to pay a euro more for the dishes. You get classic German home cooking but with creative influences and interpreted in a modern way. The linseed oil crème brûllée is particularly recommended. We'll be back!

The restaurant has a nice and stylish ambience. We had a table by the window where you can look out over the water. The horseradish schnitzel was very tasty, the Swabians can do potato salad a little better 😉 my roulade and the red cabbage were also very tasty... Very good white wines!!!!

We had a very pleasant evening as a family with excellent food, very nice service, with a great view, and reasonable value for money. Asparagus with pike perch & roulades with red cabbage were top notch!

Quite apart from the fact that this is a top location, the cuisine is highly recommended. The vegetarian and vegan menus are not on the menu because that's just how it should be, but because they were developed with a lot of love and we have the same rights for all other dishes. Wonderful and highly recommended.

A baked potato 7.90 euros that literally disappeared in the herb sauce. Far too expensive, far too little potato, 3/4 of the sauce was thrown away due to the excessive amount. The mayonnaise for the fries costs 20 cents extra. The service is good, the waiting time is too long but the food is too expensive.

We were greeted warmly and friendly. The menu is relatively small, but has it all. The horseradish schnitzel was very tasty and the potato salad with the bacon topping was a fine addition. An extra compliment to the kitchen!! We felt very comfortable here and would be happy to recommend you!

We went there with the family for breakfast. Great service, great buffet wherever refills were made. All in all a great experience. We'd love to come back. The only drawback is that the device does not accept every card when paying.

Unfortunately disappointing this time We chose this restaurant for a small celebration with 12 people because we really appreciated it because of the appealing, seasonally changing menu, the cozy atmosphere and good experiences so far. Unfortunately, our visit yesterday was a bitter disappointment. Unfortunately, the yellow lentil curry that I ordered was not convincing: the tempeh was burnt, the Brussels sprouts were about to burn, the presentation of the dish was careless/a decorative garnish was completely missing. When it was cleared away, no one asked why the tempeh remained untouched on the plate. I raised the problem myself, but there was no response from service or the kitchen. Only when I asked did I find out that the chef was sorry - that's not enough for a restaurant in this price range. Two of our guests who ordered "roasted saddle of venison, medium" were also dissatisfied because the meat was tough. Unfortunately, the pink fried beef fillets of two guests also fell short of expectations. What should be highlighted positively is that the majority of guests who chose traditional dishes such as duck or roulade were very satisfied with the taste and appearance. These dishes were excellently prepared. The desserts, walnut ice cream and sorbet, were delicious. The drink service was impeccable. Despite these bright spots, the evening left a bad aftertaste, especially because the restaurant is in the upper price segment and enjoys a very good reputation. We've always enjoyed choosing this place for special occasions, but after this experience I'm unsure whether it will continue to be my first choice for celebrations.

The ladies at the cucumber stand are really a disgrace, I waited 30 minutes to buy cucumbers and no response. Instead, they slurp spaghetti and make fun of the customers. Maybe. The owner should think about having capable staff who really want to work. All you can say is shame on you.

We got stranded there too. Great cafe with a nice large outdoor terrace. We were thrilled with the service and the Plinse. We were satisfied and would like to come back

Super delicious food and the coffee is heavenly. The ambience is so so beautiful, sitting by the window or in these wonderful armchairs by the fireplace. Why we don't come back... We went canoeing, so we were traveling by boat. Maybe we didn't see it. We are both in our mid-30s. So while we were warming up, we looked on our cell phone to see where our campsite was, etc Then the waitress suddenly says incredibly loudly and really disgustingly: “The youth of today. Can’t you talk anymore?” Um, what? How nasty can you actually be to your customers? So everyone has a bad day sometimes, but that's not possible.

The Lübben beach café in the Spreewald is perfect for a little break in between! The snacks are fine and ideal for a small hunger. The seats with a view of the canal are particularly nice - here you can sit relaxed, enjoy the view and watch the activity on the water. A cozy stopover in the middle of the countryside!

Spontaneous trip to Lübben..."stranded" on the sunny terrace at the pier. Delicious cafe and plinse and great ice cream sundaes. Wonderful... then two delicious cocktails afterwards, enjoyed in the sun! Fantastic... Super attentive, quick service! Spontaneous boat trip from the pier... Stopped in again in the evening and had 1x catfish and 1x ox cheek...it was also really tasty. Quality has its price, as does good service...we're happy to pay for everything together! Keep it up...thanks again for the great afternoon and evening with you! 😘

Great ambience with a view of the water. Fast and friendly service. Unfortunately, the taste of the food wasn't as great as the external impression suggested. The recommendation of the service staff Pumpkin soup was relatively tasteless. The main courses (ox cheeks and stuffed cabbage) also lacked the wow factor that one had expected in this environment. We stopped there after the boat trip. Great café with ice cream, apple strudel, etc. However, there is no real ice cream menu and there is little on offer for children.

We have reserved a table for 6 people for breakfast. The service was absolutely great. Breakfast costs €25.90 per person and it is absolutely worth the money! The selection of food is insane. Everything is regional and freshly prepared. So much choice that you can't try everything. The rolls and bread were super tasty. The spreads too. There was nothing that wasn't tasty. We felt completely comfortable and were absolutely full afterwards. 😂 We will definitely come back.

Freundlicher und schneller Service. Gehobenes Ambiente. Geschmacklich war das Essen OK, aber ohne wow Effekt. Der Kartoffelstampf zum Rinderbäckchen schmeckte nach Tüte. Auch die Kohlroulade war kein herausragendes Erlebnis, sondern schmeckte wie überall im normalen Gasthaus. Wie schon vorher ein Rezensent bemerkte:mehr Schein als sein.

You can read in advance on the website that reservations are required. And you should take that seriously, especially on weekend evenings you can't do much without a reservation. We were greeted very friendly and shown to our table. The menu offers something for every taste without being overloaded. Drinks and food were brought quickly, the quality of the food can only be described as absolutely great!!! The staff were always attentive and courteous without being intrusive. At the end, as always, comes the bill. Yes, the prices are higher than at the snack bar or various fast food restaurants. But if you get first-class quality food and drinks, from great staff who know what they're doing, in a really nice atmosphere, then yes, it can cost something. We were definitely very satisfied and would love to come back!

Fantastic food and very nice and attentive staff. This was our second time eating at the beach café and we weren't disappointed again. On the first visit we had beef cheeks and a Celebrate Life Bowl, both of which were fantastic. Today we had the cabbage roll and the potato curry. Plus the cucumber salad, which brought back absolute childhood memories. It tasted just like my father always made it back then. We were there today for the first and last time and were disappointed. Waited 50 minutes for the food, I think they had forgotten about us. The food itself was carelessly prepared, nothing seasoned...forgot the salad. Price/performance is not possible at all!!!!Not recommended for us!!!

Quick and easy check-in and check-out. Nice accommodation. For dinner we had cabbage roulade with a lot of potential. Food was only lukewarm, potatoes weren't cooked through and the roulade was pale, too much cabbage with stalks.

Our impression is ambivalent. The ambience is fantastic, you sit on a beautiful terrace directly on the Spree. The service was also great, it was quick and friendly. But the food disappointed us a little. We had schnitzel Viennese style and horseradish schnitzel. The side dishes (fries and potato salad) were very good, but the schnitzels themselves were not at all crispy and otherwise tasted relatively neutral. We would have expected more given the slightly higher prices.

The beach cafe looks very inviting and high quality. It literally invites you to linger. There is a sign at the entrance that says "please wait, you will be seated". You prepare yourself to wait, but when three or four waiters walk past you and don't even respond with eye contact or signs, I find that very sad. We then left with a larger group of women behind us. Unfortunately I can't comment on the food, service etc as we didn't get around to it.

What a great view you have outside when the weather is nice. Simply a great ambience and very friendly service are offered. The food is tasty, but the selection was quite small and I didn't really get full.

No card payment! Where do we live then?

When we ordered we asked if it could be taken away. It was confirmed. When the order was ready there were paper plates with no way to cover it. It was tasty but not what we wanted. Very unfortunate.

A beautifully located restaurant, right on the water, very well maintained. There are several vegan dishes on the menu, all of which sound delicious. We had a cucumber plate and a cucumber cup - a sorbet with almond crumble and currant jam - a dream. I would particularly like to emphasize the extremely friendly and attentive service!

..among other things, we ordered 2 small glasses of wine (explicitly mentioned “small” on the menu several times). Unfortunately, we were each given a large glass (double the amount), which is of course a lot more expensive. Since the waitress took the order electronically and we mentioned the smaller glass several times, we assume it was intentional. After we pointed this out to the waitress (after delivery) she was just told to drink half and leave the rest. It would then be dumped away. Conclusion: Check order and invoice! Otherwise too much will be delivered. However, the bill was then corrected to the small glass. But the food and ambience are great, prices are comparatively high.

I bought a bottle of water and a fried fish in a roll at the beach snack bar, which is part of the beach cafe. Previously, I wanted to eat outside of the restaurant. The assigned table was in the third row in the sun. No service possible at any of the tables right by the water, everything was wet from the rain, no service. There were chairs by the water at the concession stand. The fish there was inedible. Not only did it have the charm of old frying fat, but it also had a rancid aftertaste. A large sign indicates that payment is only made in cash, which is explained by the fact that there is no cash register at all. So there is neither a receipt nor a proper invoice. When I asked, there was a handwritten receipt from the pad, without any information about VAT, nor a tax number, which is mandatory information. One star is too many here.

The Lübben Strand Café has proven to be a true gem in the region. My visit there was thoroughly enjoyable and definitely deserves a 5-star rating. Here are some of the highlights: 1. **Atmosphere:** The café offers a beautiful view of the surrounding waters. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for getting away from it all and enjoying nature. The furnishings are stylish and cozy at the same time, which makes your stay even more pleasant. 2. **Service:** The staff was consistently friendly, attentive and professional. As a guest you feel welcome and well looked after here. The service was quick and competent, even during peak times. 3. **Food and Drinks:** The selection of food and drinks is impressive. There is a good mix of traditional dishes and creative new creations. Particularly noteworthy are the fresh, locally sourced ingredients, which give the dishes a special taste. The cakes and desserts are an absolute must and are prepared with great attention to detail. 4. **Value for money:** Prices are reasonable and reflect the high quality of the food and drinks on offer. You definitely get good value for money. 5. **Cleanliness and hygiene:** The cafe is very clean and well maintained, which is especially important these days. Hygiene standards are obviously taken seriously, which provides an additional feeling of security. **Conclusion:** Lübben Strand Café is a wonderful place to take a break, enjoy delicious food and relax in a picturesque setting. The combination of excellent service, delicious food and a lovely ambience makes it one of my new favorite places. Highly recommended for a visit!

Just a little dessert before returning home from visiting the Christmas markets, but it was worth it. Everything excellent. We will definitely be back... And in the summer they returned. The service is perfect, the view, the weather, the food. I'd say there's also room for that 6 star.

Now ready for cabbage rolls etc. It's a shame for such a place. What is so difficult about cooking fresh? I'm a chef myself and I'm disappointed that this chef is just giving up on himself. When it came to zander, the second piece was simply rationed away as usual and at the same price. The boss should be ashamed of himself for taking such a line. The service registers the complaint without apology but that's it. You'll definitely never see us again.

Great location right on the Spree. Unfortunately, coffee was a disaster. Double espresso from a fully automatic machine (highway level) for 4.50 euros. A pity!

We only had one drink because the grounds are so beautiful. Directly opposite the lock and the boat rental, you can relax outside and watch the hustle and bustle in the Spreewald on a leafy terrace. The superior service does not appeal to all tourists, for example there is no free choice of seating and you are assigned to a table. But our wish to be able to sit directly by the water was also realized. All waiters have a uniform look and are friendly and quick. The menu is very varied with fair prices (Wiener Schnitzel €21.50, large Bavarian draft beer €5.50). Addendum: Today we had dinner at the beach cafe. It was wonderful! Good portions, wonderfully prepared and clever cuisine. Price performance fits perfectly. The service was again 1a.

Marinated buffalo mozzarella with rocket, ham and figs very tasty. The service was really attentive and friendly. We even wanted to refrigerate the cake we had started because we had to extend the parking ticket. Top!

The food is very good, unfortunately the service is bad. The women were all unfriendly and rude, and almost all of the guests were ignored for 15 minutes. Only one waiter was extremely nice and even brought our dog a bowl of water without being asked!

I would give more stars if Google allowed, because this service truly deserves 10 stars! We were a group of 7 caught in the rain without a reservation, but they still managed to prepare seats for all of us. The service was top-notch!

We were outside , start to rain and thw staff jus offer to be inside , they make are for us because we were in shorts , but hey did care , they just gave us the space to be confortable !! Excelent service !!

Today, Saturday June 8th, 2024, we went to the “Strandcafe” for lunch and were very disappointed. The schnitzel was made of sticky meat, originally frozen and then fried on the plate. I was able to mash the "meat" with a fork. The potato salad tasted like stale old potatoes. We had to shell out around 40 euros for 2 people. Petsonal was informed about the condition of the food. There was a shrug in response. Thank you, never again!!!

The ambience is very nice, you look directly at the small urban harbor. The service is friendly, but when it's busy you have to wait a long time for someone to come. I can't say much about the food, but the ice cream sundae was good.

Great staff and very nice facility

I recently visited this restaurant and was overall pleased with the ambience and friendly staff. However, when I ordered I was promised a lemon for my cola, which unfortunately was forgotten. For me, this is a small but important detail that makes the difference. Because of this Unfortunately I can only give it 2 stars, although the rest of the visit was pleasant. A small improvement in attention would significantly improve the overall impression.

Unfortunately a disappointment. Outside, the restaurant really promises a lot as everything is chic and newly done. Our food was rather expensive in terms of value for money and average. The asparagus was poorly peeled, there was far too little sauce and after asking for more, we had to pay an extra charge (an absolute no go in this category). Service staff were always attentive and a good mix of really good people with restaurant experience and less trained staff. All in all, however, I would rather go to a quaint restaurant than eat below average "would-be fine dining" here.

Best restaurant in Lübben! We have been coming here for years and the quality is consistently good, regional food of excellent quality and the best ambience right at the city harbor. Highly recommended 👍

Despite the holiday and the large crowds, the dishes were as you would expect. The asparagus was juicy and the hollandaise sauce was homemade. Special requests were accommodated without complaint. A very good concept in a great location right on the water. We can highly recommend it. Payment is also possible separately for individual guests with credit card.

Really good food, great service. Just a tiny criticism - period. The cold cucumber soup (incredibly delicious) was served in a bowl that gave you goosebumps when you spooned it. It was so rough🙈

Located on a small island right on the water in an idyllic setting. The service was very good. The ladies were very friendly and always asked if everything was okay. The food seems expensive at first glance but is definitely worth the price. If you would like to enjoy more unusual but traditional cuisine in a beautiful atmosphere, this is the right place for you.

The saddle of veal on black garlic mashed potatoes with broccolini was excellent and the service staff was also very friendly and always available to provide recommendations and expertise. Wir hatten einen Tisch für 5 Personen reserviert. Die gesamte Location macht einen sehr guten Eindruck und wir saßen draußen auf der Terrasse. Das Essen war ausnahmslos schön angerichtet. Möhrensuppe, Entenschenkel, Lammkoteletts, Zanderfilet und Hirschbraten wurden ausnahmslos nicht aufgegessen. Die Ente war mindestens vom Vortag und nicht knusprig , der Hirschbraten schmeckte streng und war sehr trocken, die Möhrensuppe war wässrig und geschmacklos. Insgesamt war alles attraktiv angerichtet aber es war nicht wirklich feine Küche. Deutlich mehr Schein als Sein. Der Service lediglich pflichtbewusst freundlich.
