Best cafe ever. The food was absolutely perfect and delicious. The picturesque view from the terrace was simply beautiful. The staff was also fantastic. We'll definitely be back.

Everyone will find something to suit their taste. When the weather's nice, you can sit outside right by the water. Wonderful! We'd love to come back.

We really enjoyed it here; the view is fantastic! & the food too, although we weren't served for 20 minutes.

This place is perfect for relaxing and dining. The beach house is right on the Spree River, and everything looks great. The cheapest meal is around €17.50 and goes up to over €30. So, it's by no means cheap. Still, it would be good if the price matched the quality. These days, a restaurant visit for two people is as expensive as a weekly shopping trip for a family of four. Since the coronavirus pandemic, prices have been exploding everywhere.

We had lunch at the beach cafe with our guests today. The service was excellent. We were seated at 11:00 a.m. and were offered drinks even though it didn't officially open until 12:00 p.m. The lunch was delicious and plentiful. Thanks to the kitchen staff. The service was very friendly and prompt. It was a very pleasant stay, and our guests really enjoyed it. We can happily recommend the beach cafe.

Nine of us arrived without a reservation on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Four adults, five children. That's a good reason for some of the service staff to lose their composure for a moment – ​​but not here. We were greeted with a cheerful greeting and assigned a table very quickly and very friendly. Super attentive and truly professional service. Special requests were accepted and fulfilled without batting an eyelid. Ice cream, cake, coffee, and drinks were brought promptly and were excellent. The rice pudding ice cream is truly amazing! Definitely a recommendation for visitors to Lübben!

I was just about to have lunch. The ambiance is amazing. It looks wonderful. The food looks quite appealing on the menu, and I was really looking forward to the delicious gin that was described as delicious. But. After waiting for 15 minutes at our table, with hardly any other guests there, we left. So, the service is definitely not to be praised when it comes to hungry guests. Thanks for the beautiful view. We'll see where the staff can offer us something to eat.

Nice and friendly service, and the ambience is also very nice

Hoping for a good meal, we sat outside. We ordered our drinks first, as we needed time to look at the menu, which we also told the waitress. While we were ordering, the waitress said she would be back later. When the drinks arrived at our table, we wanted to place our food order. She said that only her colleague could do that. While we were enjoying our drinks, we tried several times to place our order, but no one felt responsible. We then paid the waitress outside (downstairs) for our drinks and left. We don't think it was due to the tables being full, as less than half were occupied. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant!

90 euros for 2x quail with canteen potatoes, 1x schnitzel with fries, cucumber salad, 3x lattes, and a small water! The food was tasteless! The fries actually had salt in them! It's a real shame that the owner obviously wants to make the highest possible profit with the smallest possible effort! I hope he at least pays his really fast and friendly staff decently! For me, the beautiful location can't disguise the poor quality of the food!

A somewhat upscale ambiance. Very nice decor and a large outdoor area. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. It was a perfect evening.

Delicious cake and a really nice place to sit and relax. The coffee was okay, but nothing special. Overall, though, a cozy spot for a sweet break.

We ordered a schnitzel and a zander fillet here. The food was good quality, the dressing excellent. After we spent a whopping €65 in the restaurant, including the tip, we were probably just about to hear the waiter comment as we walked by while we were leisurely finishing our beer (which came to €11). "They're still sitting here! Even though they're not eating anything." Anyone who is served by a waiter with white hair and a snub-faced lip should be prepared for these comments. Of course, €65 isn't much money. This comment probably wouldn't have come at €500.

The food was good, the waiters were very quick and friendly... The prices were on the high side. Schnitzel with fries for just under €24... But it was a really nice place by the water, and the table was upstairs and well shaded 👍🏻👍🏻 3 adults and one child. 3 drinks, 3 main courses, and 1 children's meal. Just under €110...

A very good café with top-quality Speewald specialties. The house cake and the pickle plate are highly recommended. A view of the Spree river, with its barges and canoeists, is included.

You sit there on the large terrace, dreamily gazing at the Spreewald forest, and think to yourself: Life could be beautiful. But the beach café shatters this illusion with the elegance of a bar brawler. Appetizers? Sweet potato soup and cucumber salad, surprisingly good. For a brief moment, hope dawns. But, as Nietzsche once said, "Hope is the worst of all evils, because it prolongs the torment." Then came the main course. Dani ordered the so-called "Apple Pig Chop." What arrived was a lump of fat resembling meat, probably planning to sue the apple trees whose name it bears. I got my "Horseradish Schnitzel," which was so hard and dry that I considered hammering nails into the terrace with it. Frozen food in its purest form—albeit served without a guilty conscience. Potato salad? "We buy it and refine it." Great. I had it swapped for boiled potatoes. Unfortunately, they forgot the salt, which was consistent – ​​as tasteless as the rest. The kitchen is a monument to resignation: "Goodness is a goal we don't strive for" seems to be the motto here. Tucholsky would have simply said: "First we had no luck, and then bad luck came along on top of that." The only bright spot: The staff. Friendly, professional, honest. In conclusion: If you're looking for tourist service with a view, you'll be happy here. If you value good food, you should move on. Or as Nietzsche put it: "If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss gazes back at you." Here, it's staring back at you on your plate.

A lovely menu and a great location, but it's no use if the staff is unfriendly. (The ladies at the next table were really put down for moving without asking (but there was no one there to ask spontaneously).) The other lady, who seemed to be in charge of our table, also responded to a friendly question with a rather annoyed tone, so we decided to leave immediately. The staff at the other restaurants in town have been extremely friendly so far, so there are better alternatives for us.

A sophisticated restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, good service, and a focus on fine dining. We went there for dinner on Whit Monday without a reservation and got a nice seat inside. For appetizers, we had bread with grapeseed oil. Everything was perfect – except for the main course. A small piece of pike-perch with lots of sauerkraut and mashed potatoes was a bit disappointing in terms of value for money, but the taste was OK.

Service was good, cake and coffee were excellent, highly recommended.

You can eat very well and sit and relax! We'll be back soon!

We received a warm welcome, polite service, and were able to relax and enjoy our buttermilk pancakes in the lounge. The large panoramic windows provide a wonderful view of the Spree, the lock, and the harbor. Excellent food.

17.50 for quark with potatoes... nicely presented, but that's it. Definitely far too expensive (unfortunately, the salt was also missing), especially since the portion was quite small and the prices at competing restaurants for this classic dish are comparable. The atmosphere is very nice, the service excellent!

We waited 20 minutes - the waiter didn't even look at us. Absolutely unworthy given the prices. I wouldn't recommend it - a shame! - the owner said service only starts at 12:00 - The guests at the next table were served - but we weren't - how could we have known? - no sign, no notice from the waiter...

The location of the beach cafe is very nice. The service staff are also attentive and friendly. Drinks and food are delivered very quickly. However, we experienced more than one major disappointment with the asparagus we ordered. The asparagus was not peeled properly and was more than al dente. Afterwards we really regretted not finishing the meal. When we cleared the table, we brought this to the attention of the restaurant manager, but we were only told that it would be passed on to the kitchen. Our conclusion: Drinks, cake and ice cream are recommended, but the other €50 can be better invested.

Schnitzel not through. If you ask for the full amount of the bill, you will be offered a coffee.

We were there at the end of April during asparagus season, on the first day of the summer menu. All around successful restaurant visit. Great selection, delicious food, great service and the seats right on the Spree, in the best weather, also a great ambience. We were really satisfied. You're happy to pay a euro more for the dishes. You get classic German home cooking but with creative influences and interpreted in a modern way. The linseed oil crème brûllée is particularly recommended. We'll be back!

The restaurant has a nice and stylish ambience. We had a table by the window where you can look out over the water. The horseradish schnitzel was very tasty, the Swabians can do potato salad a little better 😉 my roulade and the red cabbage were also very tasty... Very good white wines!!!!

We had a very pleasant evening as a family with excellent food, very nice service, with a great view, and reasonable value for money. Asparagus with pike perch & roulades with red cabbage were top notch!

Quite apart from the fact that this is a top location, the cuisine is highly recommended. The vegetarian and vegan menus are not on the menu because that's just how it should be, but because they were developed with a lot of love and we have the same rights for all other dishes. A baked potato 7.90 euros that literally disappeared in the herb sauce. Far too expensive, far too little potato, 3/4 of the sauce was thrown away due to the excessive amount. The mayonnaise for the fries costs 20 cents extra. The service is good, the waiting time is too long but the food is too expensive.

We were greeted warmly and friendly. The menu is relatively small, but has it all. The horseradish schnitzel was very tasty and the potato salad with the bacon topping was a fine addition. An extra compliment to the kitchen!! We felt very comfortable here and would be happy to recommend you!

We went there with the family for breakfast. Great service, great buffet wherever refills were made. All in all a great experience. We'd love to come back. The only drawback is that the device does not accept every card when paying.

Unfortunately disappointing this time We chose this restaurant for a small celebration with 12 people because we really appreciated it because of the appealing, seasonally changing menu, the cozy atmosphere and good experiences so far. Unfortunately, our visit yesterday was a bitter disappointment. Unfortunately, the yellow lentil curry that I ordered was not convincing: the tempeh was burnt, the Brussels sprouts were about to burn, the presentation of the dish was careless/a decorative garnish was completely missing. When it was cleared away, no one asked why the tempeh remained untouched on the plate. I raised the problem myself, but there was no response from service or the kitchen. Only when I asked did I find out that the chef was sorry - that's not enough for a restaurant in this price range. Two of our guests who ordered "roasted saddle of venison, medium" were also dissatisfied because the meat was tough. Unfortunately, the pink fried beef fillets of two guests also fell short of expectations. What should be highlighted positively is that the majority of guests who chose traditional dishes such as duck or roulade were very satisfied with the taste and appearance. These dishes were excellently prepared. The desserts, walnut ice cream and sorbet, were delicious. The drink service was impeccable. Despite these bright spots, the evening left a bad aftertaste, especially because the restaurant is in the upper price segment and enjoys a very good reputation. We've always enjoyed choosing this place for special occasions, but after this experience I'm unsure whether it will continue to be my first choice for celebrations.

The ladies at the cucumber stand are really a disgrace, I waited 30 minutes to buy cucumbers and no response. Instead, they slurp spaghetti and make fun of the customers. Maybe. The owner should think about having capable staff who really want to work. All you can say is shame on you.

Super delicious food and the coffee is heavenly. The ambience is so so beautiful, sitting by the window or in these wonderful armchairs by the fireplace. Why we don't come back... We went canoeing, so we were traveling by boat. Maybe we didn't see it. We are both in our mid-30s. So while we were warming up, we looked on our cell phone to see where our campsite was, etc Then the waitress suddenly says incredibly loudly and really disgustingly: “The youth of today. Can’t you talk anymore?” Um, what? How nasty can you actually be to your customers? So everyone has a bad day sometimes, but that's not possible.

The Lübben beach café in the Spreewald is perfect for a little break in between! The snacks are fine and ideal for a small hunger. The seats with a view of the canal are particularly nice - here you can sit relaxed, enjoy the view and watch the activity on the water. A cozy stopover in the middle of the countryside!

Spontaneous trip to Lübben..."stranded" on the sunny terrace at the pier. Delicious cafe and plinse and great ice cream sundaes. Wonderful... then two delicious cocktails afterwards, enjoyed in the sun! Fantastic... Super attentive, quick service! Spontaneous boat trip from the pier... Stopped in again in the evening and had 1x catfish and 1x ox cheek...it was also really tasty. Quality has its price, as does good service...we're happy to pay for everything together! Keep it up...thanks again for the great afternoon and evening with you! 😘

We have reserved a table for 6 people for breakfast. The service was absolutely great. Breakfast costs €25.90 per person and it is absolutely worth the money! The selection of food is insane. Everything is regional and freshly prepared. So much choice that you can't try everything. The rolls and bread were super tasty. The spreads too. There was nothing that wasn't tasty. We felt completely comfortable and were absolutely full afterwards. 😂 We will definitely come back.

We stopped there after the boat trip. Great café with ice cream, apple strudel, etc. However, there is no real ice cream menu and there is little on offer for children.

Freundlicher und schneller Service. Gehobenes Ambiente. Geschmacklich war das Essen OK, aber ohne wow Effekt. Der Kartoffelstampf zum Rinderbäckchen schmeckte nach Tüte. Auch die Kohlroulade war kein herausragendes Erlebnis, sondern schmeckte wie überall im normalen Gasthaus. Wie schon vorher ein Rezensent bemerkte:mehr Schein als sein.

You can read in advance on the website that reservations are required. And you should take that seriously, especially on weekend evenings you can't do much without a reservation. We were greeted very friendly and shown to our table. The menu offers something for every taste without being overloaded. Drinks and food were brought quickly, the quality of the food can only be described as absolutely great!!! The staff were always attentive and courteous without being intrusive. At the end, as always, comes the bill. Yes, the prices are higher than at the snack bar or various fast food restaurants. But if you get first-class quality food and drinks, from great staff who know what they're doing, in a really nice atmosphere, then yes, it can cost something. We were definitely very satisfied and would love to come back!

Fantastic food and very nice and attentive staff. This was our second time eating at the beach café and we weren't disappointed again. On the first visit we had beef cheeks and a Celebrate Life Bowl, both of which were fantastic. Today we had the cabbage roll and the potato curry. Plus the cucumber salad, which brought back absolute childhood memories. It tasted just like my father always made it back then. Quick and easy check-in and check-out. Nice accommodation. For dinner we had cabbage roulade with a lot of potential. Food was only lukewarm, potatoes weren't cooked through and the roulade was pale, too much cabbage with stalks.

Our impression is ambivalent. The ambience is fantastic, you sit on a beautiful terrace directly on the Spree. The service was also great, it was quick and friendly. But the food disappointed us a little. We had schnitzel Viennese style and horseradish schnitzel. The side dishes (fries and potato salad) were very good, but the schnitzels themselves were not at all crispy and otherwise tasted relatively neutral. We would have expected more given the slightly higher prices.

The beach cafe looks very inviting and high quality. It literally invites you to linger. There is a sign at the entrance that says "please wait, you will be seated". You prepare yourself to wait, but when three or four waiters walk past you and don't even respond with eye contact or signs, I find that very sad. We then left with a larger group of women behind us. Unfortunately I can't comment on the food, service etc as we didn't get around to it.

When we ordered we asked if it could be taken away. It was confirmed. When the order was ready there were paper plates with no way to cover it. It was tasty but not what we wanted. Very unfortunate.

A beautifully located restaurant, right on the water, very well maintained. There are several vegan dishes on the menu, all of which sound delicious. We had a cucumber plate and a cucumber cup - a sorbet with almond crumble and currant jam - a dream. I would particularly like to emphasize the extremely friendly and attentive service!

I bought a bottle of water and a fried fish in a roll at the beach snack bar, which is part of the beach cafe. Previously, I wanted to eat outside of the restaurant. The assigned table was in the third row in the sun. No service possible at any of the tables right by the water, everything was wet from the rain, no service. There were chairs by the water at the concession stand. The fish there was inedible. Not only did it have the charm of old frying fat, but it also had a rancid aftertaste. A large sign indicates that payment is only made in cash, which is explained by the fact that there is no cash register at all. So there is neither a receipt nor a proper invoice. When I asked, there was a handwritten receipt from the pad, without any information about VAT, nor a tax number, which is mandatory information. One star is too many here.

..among other things, we ordered 2 small glasses of wine (explicitly mentioned “small” on the menu several times). Unfortunately, we were each given a large glass (double the amount), which is of course a lot more expensive. Since the waitress took the order electronically and we mentioned the smaller glass several times, we assume it was intentional. After we pointed this out to the waitress (after delivery) she was just told to drink half and leave the rest. It would then be dumped away. Conclusion: Check order and invoice! Otherwise too much will be delivered. However, the bill was then corrected to the small glass. But the food and ambience are great, prices are comparatively high.

The Lübben Strand Café has proven to be a true gem in the region. My visit there was thoroughly enjoyable and definitely deserves a 5-star rating. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for getting away from it all and enjoying nature. The furnishings are stylish and cozy at the same time, which makes your stay even more pleasant. 2. **Service:** The staff was consistently friendly, attentive and professional. As a guest you feel welcome and well looked after here. The service was quick and competent, even during peak times. 3. **Food and Drinks:** The selection of food and drinks is impressive. There is a good mix of traditional dishes and creative new creations. Particularly noteworthy are the fresh, locally sourced ingredients, which give the dishes a special taste. The cakes and desserts are an absolute must and are prepared with great attention to detail. 4. **Value for money:** Prices are reasonable and reflect the high quality of the food and drinks on offer. You definitely get good value for money. 5. **Cleanliness and hygiene:** The cafe is very clean and well maintained, which is especially important these days. Hygiene standards are obviously taken seriously, which provides an additional feeling of security. **Conclusion:** Lübben Strand Café is a wonderful place to take a break, enjoy delicious food and relax in a picturesque setting. The combination of excellent service, delicious food and a lovely ambience makes it one of my new favorite places. Highly recommended for a visit!

Just a little dessert before returning home from visiting the Christmas markets, but it was worth it. Everything excellent. We will definitely be back... And in the summer they returned. The service is perfect, the view, the weather, the food. I'd say there's also room for that 6 star.
