We had a girls' weekend getaway with our partner, FA 1. The apartment was fantastic and also great for kids. The team is incredibly friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. Thank you so much! P.S.: If you're taking the boat trip, bring some cash. The volunteer boatmen appreciate a small donation, and the kids cost extra.

The rooms are beautifully furnished and very clean, thanks to the cleaning staff... The staff is very friendly and accommodating, not to mention the waitresses who keep refilling breakfast. They even bake cucumber bread, and it's simply delicious. For about two years now, they've had a pool and, of course, a sauna. There's also a lovely terrace behind the house. You can book a boat trip on site, and if you want, you can also rent a paddleboat yourself. You can even rent bikes, and if you bring your own, there's also a storage room for them. Everything's perfect here. We've already booked again for next year. Thank you!!!!

A pleasant ambiance with attention to detail. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They've thought of all possible eventualities, including our four-legged guests, who are given two rooms with their owners. The pool area is another highlight. It's a great place to relax and unwind even on cold days.

A very nice hotel with very friendly staff. There's something for everyone at breakfast. Plenty of coffee pots are available on a separate table, and various juices are served in carafes. Various rolls, breads, and croissants, as well as scrambled and boiled eggs, are available. Various salads, cold cuts, and cheeses, as well as muesli and jams, are also available.

The best hotel I've ever stayed in! Very clean, comfortable, and modern. With access to the sauna in a very nice spa area included. Very friendly staff and a well-kept ambiance. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and there are also plenty of dinner options to choose from, all of which are delicious. I couldn't think of anything better. Whenever I'm in the area, this hotel is my number one! I'd happily return :)

A beautifully located hotel directly on one of the Spreewald streams with its own boat dock. We stayed there for 14 days in August 2025 and were very satisfied. The room, including the somewhat small bathroom, was sufficiently large, and the balcony overlooking the terrace and the boat dock was fantastic. The cleanliness of the hotel and the room left nothing to be desired. The housekeeping ladies are truly diligent and very courteous when encountered. There's nothing negative to say about the hotel staff in general either. The highlight of the hotel, however, is the recently completed pool with various ancillary facilities located on the first floor of the hotel in an annex and directly accessible through the first-floor hallway, effectively the shortest route from the room. Simply fantastic. The breakfast selection is absolutely extensive and, in our opinion, leaves nothing to be desired. You can have breakfast either in the attached restaurant or on the terrace. All in all, a highly recommended hotel that we will definitely visit again, God willing. Since we haven't had hot meals in the evening for a long time due to health reasons, etc., we can't say much about the quality of the food. But what we could see from the balcony suggests that everything is fine in this area as well. Of course, we also went on boat trips, and there was nothing to complain about there either. €16 per person for 2 hours is absolutely reasonable. So, we can give this lovely little hotel an unreserved recommendation.

Everything's fine. One negative point is that the boatman, Mr. Simon, is very knowledgeable and explains everything about the Spreewald, but he uses a motor to navigate the rivers. Aren't they poled?!

The beds are comfortable, the food is ok. The sauna and swimming pool are also excellent.

We've rented kayaks here twice already for a day trip in the Spreewald and are more than satisfied. The prices are very fair, and everything, including the reservation, went smoothly. We look forward to going boating here again next summer.

What could be better than a summer trip to the Spreewald? After a long, classic boat trip, our group stopped here for lunch. It's worth mentioning that the kitchen opened especially for us. Of course, we discussed this beforehand, and we weren't disappointed. All the dishes our large group ordered were excellent! The portions were generous and very tasty. The staff were consistently friendly, service-oriented, and very prompt. It's also worth mentioning that the hotel is located directly on one of the canals and has its own private dock. We didn't try the rooms, but that's a reason to come back.

We rented a paddle boat and everything went very well.

The restaurant was closed on Sunday, but we took a beautiful boat trip from there; it was simply wonderful to enjoy the nature. Paddle boats are also available for rent.

Last year, for my birthday, we stayed for one night in a double room with a balcony overlooking the water. We were able to reserve the kayaks and a table for dinner right when we booked the room. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious, and we were able to sit outside in the beautiful weather. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and would happily return for an overnight kayaking tour.

There are also some nice drinks on the menu. We also rented boats from the hotel. It was a lot of fun. The only, but hardly noteworthy, drawback was that we didn't receive any instructions or information about the paddle boat ride. We simply launched the boat into the water, jumped in, and that was it. Thank you for the wonderful weekend...☺️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four of us and our dog went canoeing in the Spreewald, starting at the Hotel Stephanshof. The boat rental on site was super easy – very friendly service, fair prices, and well-maintained canoes. The route was stunningly beautiful, quiet, and ideal for experiencing the Spreewald from the water. What was especially great was that our dog was allowed to come along in the canoe – that was a real highlight for us! An all-round successful trip in beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended – we'd love to come back!

A very pretty, cozy little hotel in an ideal location for canoeing, cycling, boating, exploring Lübben, or simply relaxing. Very friendly and helpful staff, everything very clean and tidy, excellent food, a beautiful pool area, and a wonderful beer garden... A first-class all-round package.

We stayed in the family apartment as a family three weeks ago. What a beautiful apartment and so huge, which is wonderful for the children. The private outdoor terrace meant we could put our child to sleep in peace in the evening and sit with the rest of the family, relaxed and close to our child. The service was always excellent and always very child-friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try out the pool and sauna area, but they also looked nice and very clean. The location of the hotel is also nice, as it's right on the water and not far from the city center, where there's also a beautiful water playground. You can rent boats and paddle boats directly through the hotel. The breakfast was delicious. The only minor drawback was that there was unfortunately no vegan food available, but we hadn't noticed beforehand that we had a vegan with us.

We came across the Stephanshof quite by chance. I really liked the location right on the river with the terrace and the view of the water. The hotel rooms are of high quality and modern. The beautiful spa area with a large indoor pool allows you to swim regardless of the outside temperature. The sauna is a highlight for colder days. Since the hotel has its own restaurant, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and traditional, seasonal/regional dishes in the evening. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I think it's really convenient that you can board a boat right in front of the terrace or rent kayaks across the street. The hotel also offers a bike rental service, which you can use to get right on the "Gurkenradweg" (cucumber cycle path). The city center with its market square, castle island, and shops is just a 5-10 minute walk away. The new ice cream parlor is also around the corner. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a long weekend with the family, and the hotel itself is truly beautiful. From the very friendly and helpful staff, to the modern and spacious rooms, to the fantastic wellness area with pool and sauna, it truly deserves its star rating. The food was also excellent, and the hotel's location, right on the water, is actually very idyllic. But—and now comes the big drawback—the idyllic setting was very deceptive, as the hotel has two family apartments. We stayed in one of them. In the other apartment below us, a men's club had taken up residence, constantly attracting attention with its noise. Loud music, shouting, knocking over liquor bottles, and shining flashlights into the windows—and all this continued until well after midnight outside on the terrace, right under our son's window! Neither the direct (and friendly!) request to be a little quieter nor the complaining to the hotel staff helped; on the contrary, they only provoked the noise. On the third, noisy night, we finally saw why these gentlemen had a certain amount of freedom. A hotel employee was also sitting on the terrace shortly before midnight and also contributed to the atmosphere. Bravo! For me, this kind of clientele is completely out of place in a hotel that describes itself as "quiet, idyllic, and family-friendly." Here, however, they seem popular and welcome. A real shame. But not being able to find peace and quiet for a single night completely ruined what was supposed to be a wonderful stay in the Spreewald.

The hotel is highly recommended

Anyone arriving by bike is greeted by a forest of prohibition signs – only middle-aged drivers are welcome here. There were eight of us who had reserved paddle boats in advance. The rental company? As welcoming as a parking ticket at Christmas – grumpy, didactic, and when a child wants to take shelter at the rental station in the pouring rain, the fun is completely over. Boats are okay, but the atmosphere is more like Titanic.

I would like to sincerely thank all the staff at the Spreewaldhotel Stephanshof. All of them go the extra mile and always have a smile on their faces – they work with passion and dedication here. Friendliness and helpfulness are very important here. The rooms are spacious and modern. The entire hotel complex is very clean. The pool and sauna area are particularly noteworthy. The breakfast was also of high quality – there is a wide selection.

My expectations were completely exceeded! I would love to come back! I would especially like to highlight the cleanliness, the pool, and the very varied breakfast!

The hotel has an excellent location with a great view from the restaurant. I took advantage of the kayak rental service – the hotel offers clean and well-maintained kayaks. It was an incredible trip with fantastic views! I really liked the hotel itself; the room was really good value for money. Everything was very clean. The restaurant serves good food, although it could be a bit more spicy for my taste – but that's a matter of taste, of course. Everything tastes excellent with the local beer. The waitresses were very friendly.

We wanted a little getaway without the kids for a couple of days, and that's exactly what we got. A well-kept little hotel with saunas heated to 70°C and 80°C and a cozy pool. The rooms are simple but nice, and the staff is friendly. Breakfast provides everything you need to start the day. There is one small drawback: the elevator is very loud, and the room next door was a bit of a nuisance with heavy use. Nevertheless, we didn't regret it.

Great 3-star hotel. We stayed there for three nights. Everything was perfect. The room was even accessible for people with disabilities. Breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. The staff and the service in the restaurant were also very attentive and accommodating to our needs. Simply top-notch. I would recommend it to everyone. A very nice, relatively small hotel. The rooms are modern and very clean, and the staff is very friendly. You can rent canoes directly behind the hotel, and there's also a separate, locked bike room for your bikes. The two saunas (70°C and 80°C) are very new and modern.

Cleanliness is a top priority here. Great food. Super friendly staff. Great hotel room. Great pool. The hotel even has an elevator. All in all, a fantastic vacation for us. We can't give this place enough stars. 😀😀😃

Thank you for the wonderful time in your lovingly and perfectly planned hotel. Everything was perfect, from the very nice and large room, the bright and friendly breakfast room to the spacious pool with loungers and sauna. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired and the onion/cucumber bread was super tasty, as it was probably baked with love and still traditional baking from the local baker. Then the boat ride directly from the terrace was the icing on the cake. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this great hospitality. We, my big sister and I definitely want to come back. Thank you for everything

We highly recommend this hotel. First of all, a big compliment for the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The cleanliness can be seen in this hotel. The rooms are lovingly furnished. The breakfast buffet was rich, varied and appetizing. Likewise the evening kitchen in the restaurant. (My husband raved about the schnitzel for days) The wellness area offers everything you need for relaxation. The only small point of criticism would be that the wellness area can unfortunately only be used until 9 p.m. We would have liked to spend the evening hours longer in the sauna, etc. You could also easily rent paddle boats from the hotel's own canoe rental service, which was also positive. We'd love to come back.

Overall, we had a pleasant short stay as a family with 2 children. The following were very positive: friendly contact in the booking process - changes were possible without any complications, an additional boat trip was made possible at short notice at our very spontaneous request, the location with its own small harbor and boat rental (e.g. Canadian) was perfect, the pool and sauna area was very nice. Suggestions for improvement: More selection of fruit for breakfast, offer other types of coffee better (we missed the sign), dinner doesn't quite match the price-performance ratio, service was ok but not as loving as we would have expected, completely closed catering on Sundays and Mondays is a real shame - especially with the beautiful terrace! (Even though we knew this beforehand, we missed it in the nice weather!) Unfortunately, the elevator is quite loud when the room is close and the lawn mower on the neighboring property before 8 a.m. was unfortunately bad luck. Otherwise the rooms were fine, the sink needed to be replaced if necessary.

The rooms were very nice, the only thing that bothered me was that there was no free water. The service at breakfast was relatively good, but you can tell that the hotel is designed for adults only. My family and I often found that the guests and a few employees loathed children. But the hotel is great for people who just want to switch off. A well-intentioned tip is that you should decide whether you should leave the offer for children or not. Thank you, I mostly enjoyed the stay.

We were here for a weekend. The hotel is in a great location and you can even take boat trips directly from the hotel. The rooms are very nice, clean and size. Spa area is also great. Breakfast is small, but nice and tasty. But what struck us most were the friendly employees. Kind regards to the restaurant service staff. We'll definitely come back again.

The two of us went for a wellness weekend and were simply thrilled. Not only the cleanliness, but also the friendly, helpful, and welcoming service deserve more than 5 stars. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, varied, and lovingly prepared. The spa area was a dream. Not too big, just cozy, so we just lounged around for four hours :-) And as I said, everything was soooo clean. We'd love to come back :-)

I stayed at this beautiful hotel with my sister last weekend. We really enjoyed our time; everything was modern and clean. A great color and lighting concept was implemented throughout the hotel. The team is extremely friendly. The pool and sauna area are highly recommended. Parking is free in front of the door. Wi-Fi is free and good. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. A recommendation: the cucumber bread can be purchased to order and is baked by a bakery exclusively for the hotel. Unfortunately, we didn't have dinner at the hotel because it was a sisters' weekend, and the restaurant closes at 8 p.m. We wanted to sit longer and enjoy the evening with a glass of wine. We would love to come back.

Super cozy and clean. Friendly staff, good and plentiful breakfast. In the evenings, they only serve expensive a la carte food, not much choice; you'd better eat elsewhere. Otherwise, it's top-notch.

Very accommodating and flexible on the phone when booking, without using booking.com; booking directly was even an advantage. Traveling with a dog was no problem, with parking right outside. The hotel restaurant is good and excellent value for money. The pool and wellness area are well-maintained and fairly new, and the boat trip departs directly from the hotel, making it a pleasant experience even in winter! All in all, a lovely hotel, highly recommended! The staff, from reception to chambermaids, were all very friendly.

The rooms are clean and modern. You can use the pool and sauna. You should, it's worth it. There's an elevator. The breakfast selection is very good and everything is fresh. The cucumber bread is especially recommended. Canoe trips are also offered on site. 👍

Super friendly staff. We used the accommodation for a stay at Tropical Island. Breakfast and dinner were fine. The rooms are large and spacious. Unfortunately, the holiday apartment no. 1 downstairs is too noisy if you have guests staying above you. You can hear every step and every movement of the other guests. It's a shame. Sleeping in was out of the question.

Simply great! We stayed here as a couple and again as a family 14 days later. It is a very attractive, modern hotel, everything is just right here! The staff is extremely friendly and always approachable for the guests, the entire ambience in and around the hotel is perfectly coordinated, the rooms are very attractive and comfortable, the breakfast and dinner: top, very nicely prepared, tastes very good (a thank you also to the kitchen !), we were also thrilled with the pool and sauna area... we can absolutely recommend the family-run hotel, not to mention the location! Right on the river, Berste, a great terrace (which can certainly be used in warmer seasons. So definitely visit the Stephanshof and see for yourself. A big compliment to the Stephan family, a lot of passion, commitment and investment has been put into this, together with us a great team. We wish you all the best, stay healthy and keep it up!!! A nice, small, cozy hotel with modern, comfortable rooms and an elevator! Location is great, right on the river. Nice friendly staff and great cuisine. Even now at Christmas time everything is lovingly and harmoniously decorated, so that you feel welcome as a guest. The new spa area with pool and sauna is very inviting, clean and well-kept - enough loungers to relax and unwind. As always, it was worth the trip! We wish the hotel many more nice, friendly guests and a good, successful start into the new year 2025!

A very nice hotel! Rooms are very clean. All the people are super friendly. Breakfast absolutely sufficient. Pool and sauna also very, very nice. A holiday in the Spreewald can be easily combined here. You can reach a lot of things here on foot. Keep it up!!!

Really great for a 3-star hotel. We have experienced a number of hotels recently and the price/performance ratio here is unbeatable. Everything is in new condition and the rooms are also very clean and modern, timelessly furnished. The wall decoration with beautiful Spreewald pictures is also very inviting. The pool area was also clean and attractive. For breakfast there is everything your heart desires, plus regional specialties such as cucumber bread, linseed oil and various pickled cucumbers. Free parking right in front of the door and the center of Lübben is about a 10-minute walk away. We also visited the restaurant in the evening. The service is very friendly, the selection allows everyone to find something and the portions are impressive. We felt very comfortable. Thank you for the lovely break at Stephanshof:)

A really nice hotel with friendly people in service. There is a fairly new sauna and pool area which is nicely designed and the pool is a decent size. We found the breakfast and food in the restaurant excellent. Emphasis is placed on regional products and there is hardly anything packaged. The boat trip offered was very entertaining. It is quite close to the city center, but despite being close to a school it is very quiet. We'd love to come back.

A pearl of a hotel located directly on the Spree tributary Berste. Nice, very clean rooms. Very friendly service and good cuisine in the hotel restaurant. There is a kayak rental at the hotel; you can start a kayak tour through the Spree waters directly at the hotel. You can also rent bicycles at the hotel. The evening guided boat trip, which also starts at the hotel, is also wonderful and very informative.

Very nice little hotel in a very good location

A very nice hotel located directly on a small tributary of the Spree. We had a 2-day break here and experienced a wonderful boat trip directly from the hotel (at 10.30 a.m. if there were enough hotel guests), past idyllic gardens and wild forests, ideal for really unwinding. The rooms are very elegantly furnished, the bathroom is modern and spacious. We were able to enjoy dinner (catfish and zander) on the terrace with a view of the river. The staff is very accommodating. After telephone consultation (we couldn't arrive until 6 p.m. due to a traffic jam on the motorway), our room key was finally left in a key safe. Since we had to check out very soon on Sunday, we were allowed to use the swimming pool after consultation, even though it doesn't actually open until 9 a.m. We felt completely comfortable.

Quite a chic hotel. Rooms spacious and of a good standard. Pool and sauna are very nice. The restaurant is also recommended. The hotel also offers boat trips and kayak rentals. The target group is probably more like 50+, but that may apply to the entire region.

We were lucky to get a seat without a reservation 🤗 the food was great 👍 if I could give stars 5 ⭐️ the maximum 💘 will definitely come back 😎

We reserved 3 canoes by phone. Or I called and asked if anyone would be happy. Was there 20 minutes later. The people in service, reception and boat distribution are extremely nice. Can't complain!!!

Parked the paddle boat at the jetty and had a delicious meal straight away. Food was very tasty and filling. Service was premium. I can only recommend it!

Very well maintained with its own jetty. Very good food, friendly staff. Unfortunately very close to the main street. But otherwise everything was great.

The hotel offers everything you need! Nice rooms with minibar, delicious breakfast, bike, canoe, boat trips for rent and a very central location to the small old town. Swimming pool, sauna for bad weather. Very good restaurant right on the water and super friendly staff!!! The only thing that could be improved here is the lack of sockets in the bike shed. Then it would be even more convenient.

The hotel is highly recommended! Rooms spacious, modern and very clean! Unfortunately we were forced to stay for two days because otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get accommodation (we were on a big bike tour). The "reward" for this: On the second evening (Sundays in the high season and Brandenburg holiday season) the hotel's own restaurant was closed (because of wealth???)! Our booked boat tour from the hotel's own harbor was canceled shortly before departure due to a lack of participation. That is not how it works!

The welcome at the hotel was very warm and welcoming! The rooms are spacious, in very good condition, visually appealing and clean! The pool and sauna area is very nice and inviting! The food in the hotel was of high quality and tasted very good! Service is taken very seriously in this hotel, leaving nothing to be desired! We thank you for this great holiday experience and will come again!

Very nice place to rent kayaks and with a nice terrace.
