Sticks'n'Sushi in Berlin

Premetto che non sono solito a lasciare recensione, soprattutto se negative. Sono stato in questo ristorante una domenica di novembre a pranzo. Il locale era praticamente vuoto. Ho ordinato delle polpette fritte (Kami korokke)e un piatto di degustazione di diversi uramaki (Full house). La cameriera, gentilmente, mi aveva avvisato che ci sarebbero stati 15 minuti di attesa. Purtroppo dopo più di 30 minuti dopo è arrivato il piatto, per fortuna il locale era vuoto! Per 85€ mi sono stati serviti quelli che saranno stati circa 20 uramaki vari, pochi con pesce, due pezzi con carne wagyu e altri con solo verdure. Mi è stata data acqua del rubinetto in una brocca e fatta pagare 2,50€!

I was disappointed with the food and the restaurant manager at Stick n' Sushi Berlin. We are big fans of the chain and go regularly in both locations in London and Richmond. We found the food in Berlin of much much lower standard, yet at a higher price than in London. The skewers which are usually grilled and tasty in London looked like they had been boiled and smothered with sauce rather than marinated like they usually are. Some of them were barely hot. The service was long but was ok. What threw us off when we saw the bill was a 10€ charge for a jug of sparkling water. We queried the charge and were told that it was a 2,5€ per person. We pointed out that only my son had ordered it and that we all had ordered soft drinks instead but the waitress said that it was the way they charged it. I had a word with a very full of himself restaurant manager who told me it was my responsibility to check the price on the menu and he confirmed that even for a table of 10 people and only one person ordering sparkling water, the price would come to 25€ . I am not used to check the price of a sparkling water when I go to a restaurant, and I feel that we should have been told when we ordered.

Das Essen war ganz ausgezeichnet. Die Vorspeisen waren zügig auf dem Tisch und waren sehr lecker. Die Aufnahme der Bestellung von Getränken und auch den Speisen erfolgte aber erst nach 20 Minuten Wartezeit. Der Service war zwar grundsätzlich sehr freundlich, aber überhaupt nicht präsent, sodass die Gläser lange Zeit leer waren und auch niemand ansprechbar war. Problematisch war, dass der Sushi-Hauptgang nach den Vorspeisen ca. 75 Minuten auf sich warten ließ und damit ca. 2 Stunden nach Platznehmen am Tisch serviert wurde. Besonders negativ ist dies aufgefallen, da augenscheinlich die Auslieferung von Sushi to go den wartenden Gästen im Restaurant vorgezogen wurde. Alles in allem war die Wartezeit und auch der abwesende Service dem Preisniveau des Restaurants nicht angemessen.

Even with kids you can have a great and tasty dinner here. An extra children's menu with great menus and the super friendly service round this off. The quality is top and the dishes are visually a feast for the eyes.

Service war sehr Freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen war köstlich. Die mittagsmenüs sind von den Portionen her fair und der Preis ist gut. Kleine miso Suppe oder kleinen Seetang Salat als Vorspeise dazu wäre ein kleiner Tipp perfekt. ansonsten würd ich immer wieder nochmal zum Mittagslunch kommen und empfehle es definitiv weiter

A fantastic place all around, always happy to go back!

We had a very disappointing experience! Af first it’s a really modern place with good lightning and nice ambiance. It was a very busy evening, so that you have to wait a little bit longer than normal thats ok. But we had to wait over more than an hour before our sushi arrived. The waitress told us many times a few minutes, but we saw that the people who arrived much later got their food allready. Finally it arrived and as soon as I ate my last piece of sushi, the waitress came to ask if we could move to the bar because they needed our table to make a table of 6. We were stunned, We spent there more than €160 so to be send away like that was not the best service. They could handled this so much better. Offer a free coffee couldn’t make up for the disappointment and we didn’t stay there any longer.

Service excellence. Sensational card. Carpe diem again and again. Cocktails extra nice.

Yesterday we went to sticks’n’Sushi again and it was once again very tasty. We find the ambience at this location particularly nice. Yesterday it took quite a long time until we got our food. We were forgotten and when our waitress noticed this, she did everything to ensure that the kitchen served our dishes as quickly as possible. She was super friendly and attentive. We then got the delicious salmon as compensation ❤️ If she hadn't been so great, the evening would have been a failure.

One of the best sushi restaurants I've ever had a pleasure to visit. Not only you can count on polite and well behaved staff, but also incredible dishes. Salmon Tatar 10/10. Rolls are fresh and tasty. Prices are well balanced in my opinion. I recommend this place as a must see in Berlin for all Sushi lovers!

If I compaire this resturant with the one located at Tivoli hotel in copenhagen (which I give 5 stars on all parameters) I find this one a bit disappointing. Don't get me wrong, it was a good experience. There are a few things that pulls down the rating of this place. Firstly, we ordered a sake tasting, the woman serving it did not know anything about the sake besides the name and how much alcohol they contained. I never tried before when a place offering a tasing of some sort that they have not trained the staff in knowing at least eg where it's from, key characteristics or key notes. When you but a tasting it's interesting to know why they have selected what they have and what is different between them (besides the alcohol procent). The same lacking passion was experienced with most of the foos presentations besides the guy who came and presented our sashimi, he was extreemly passionate! All in all we're they nice to us but I had expected a more professional staff (besides the sushi guy). it was no problem to split the bill. Next thing is the atmosphere/set and setting, it was okay but it felt a bit incomplete in a way, that is hard to discribe. The bathrooms was very nice though with incense burning. Lastly I think the food quakity was of the same high standard that the resturant chain is known for, but I think there was a little missing on the presentation side. It often looked a bit like. Food was thrown on the serving plates (besides the sashimi that was beautiful). I think the level I experience in copenhagen is a few levels higher tbh.

I have never eaten sushi as good as I did there. Everything was prepared so deliciously and it was also a feast for the eyes! The service was first class and the ambience was very cozy despite its modern style. I'll definitely be back. Thank you at this point, dear Robert (operations manager), for the great service and the delicious recommendation as well as the two delicious cocktails to which we were invited.

Ein gutes Restaurant mit leckerem Essen. Aber es gibt einen Nachteil: Der Kellner füllt den Wasserkrug sehr oft auf, ohne zu fragen, selbst wenn er noch nicht leer ist. Am Ende wird auf der Rechnung die Anzahl der Wasserkrüge aufgeführt, die man nicht einmal bestellt hat. Traurig. Fazit: Weniger Trinkgeld.

We were seated at a table in the far corner of the restaurant, which was almost empty. At the next table there was a guest who mistook the place for a co-working space. Without a headset in a video conference - what's the point? Why is something like this tolerated? We were allowed to change tables upon request. The food tasted very good and the service was very attentive. No Go: Clear the table while you are still eating.

We had a really nice experience with dinner in this place, food was tasty and nicely presented. Service was also nice in the beginning, but at some point they forgot us and we had to wait for dessert for a while :)

Unfortunately, the food cannot keep up with the attentive service and ambience. We had the Carpe Diem menu for two and so many of the dishes were just so incredibly salty. From the kani croquettes, to the fried broccoli, to the oyster sticks and beyond. Even my partner, who can eat very salty foods, found it salty. It was particularly bad with the goat cheese sticks with ham (Yaki Yagi), which were unfortunately inedible. The sushi rolls that were included in the menu weren't our favorites either, but that's more of a subjective nature. There were also good dishes on the menu, such as the salmon carpaccio or the tuna tartar bites, but all in all we probably wouldn't come back again as the food was unfortunately unimpressive, especially for this price. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very nice with a great atmosphere. However, it can get quite warm if you sit upstairs.

The food was delicious and abundant... But the MOST highlight is the kindness, warmth and attention in the place... The waitress EVA and the manager OLIVER are the most polite people... Kind and empathetic... We had an incident outside the restaurant and they did not hesitate to do everything possible to help us... It is my first time in Germany and I was pleasantly surprised... When a Japanese restaurant tries to guide you through the authentic Japanese food culture, but fails miserably. Food was good, not even so overpriced. Service, ok... nothing crazy but still a decent level Atmosphere, yeah...there's something lacking, some real touch

I really enjoyed going to this restaurant. I appreciate the food and also the wine. Unfortunately - at least on Potsdamer Straße - the service has become terrible. The keyword here no longer seems to be service but rather arrogance. I'm quite speechless at how they treat their customers and what an arrogant tone the waitress has. So if you want to eat well, but want at least not unfriendly (if not friendly) service, then this is not the place for you. Even the best food tastes bad if you as a guest are treated with absolute arrogance, rude and - frankly, like dirt.

Fabulous well ranged menu. 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Yet something for everyone. Good vegan options too.

So far this is the best sushi I had in Berlin. Both delivery and eating at the restaurant, the quality and flavours are amazing. Even their vegan options are great and super creative, not just cucumber maki. The service at the restaurant is top notch and very attentive. Our Japanese waiter shared little facts about his culture while preparing the matcha at our table. The staffs T-shirts say to leave room for dessert, which is hard haha but so worth it! The innovative sourdough ice cream was delicious. Walked out of this place regretting not having been here before as everything from start to finish was immaculate 👌I will not be having sushi from any other place now!

This is how service should be! Great team, great performance Were there for the second time and it was wonderful. It started with the reservation, which you could spontaneously book 1.5 hours in advance, you were asked if there was an occasion. When we came in the host knew who we were as if he had seen who was coming in through one of the most beautiful windows in Berlin. Our table was in the middle of the room but you still had your space. Fantastic atmosphere, great advice on food and drinks. Every employee seemed to us as if they all had fun with what they were doing, namely making their guests happy and providing a great experience. The food was an 11/10 and unbeatable in terms of price/performance. We will be back definitely.

With Sticks'n'Sushi, Potsdamer Straße has a serious culinary highlight. The ambience is a nice upscale Asian cuisine, but the prices are very affordable. Especially for the vegetable dishes. Our highlight was the marinated and fried mushrooms. The slightly cheaper lunch menu is also highly recommended.

We had a very nice experience today for lunch. The kids menu is great, my son really enjoyed it. The place is huge, but at the same time cosy. Our waiter was also very kind and friendly. We will be back!

We ordered gluten free As Good As It Gets. It was super delicious. The best food I have ever eaten in Berlin so far. I had goosebumps three times. So many thanks to the staff.

The food was fantastic and only eclipsed by the amazing service we enjoyed here. Unless you just don't enjoy sushi do go! Even if you are not a fan there are delicious options that will satisfy most everyone.

Hands down best sushi in berlin

Mega chic shop, the food could hardly be better and the service is absolutely great. Prices are therefore more for those with deeper pockets, but here I would really say: it's worth it.

Sushi was perfect - we had the mixed Sashimi and few great rolls - well recommended. The seaweed salad was mediocre at best but given the sushi quality we still gave the place 5 stars for food. Atmosphere was a bit noisy and service was okay, no more.

Really good place with high quality fish. I had the tuna and salmon tataki and they were delicious.

The atmosphere was quite great and the food was delicious. The vegetable roll sushi from the Full House menu was especially fantastic! I was a bit worried when ordering because of my nut allergy, but our waiter, Yuki, explained everything thoroughly, so we could enjoy our meal without worry. The sesame dessert he recommended was also delicious! We'll definitely come back again!

During my recent visit to Sticks and Sushi in Berlin, I encountered several service issues that significantly impacted my dining experience. Firstly, there was a mix-up with our order, which resulted in incorrect items being served. To add to the confusion, our final bill included charges for items that were never delivered to our table. When we addressed these concerns with our server, the response was disappointingly dismissive. The server’s attitude came across as disrespectful, which only compounded our frustration. Despite the errors made, no attempt was made to rectify the situation through a discount or other compensatory gesture. The quality of service is paramount in the hospitality industry, and unfortunately, it fell short during this visit. It’s my hope that this feedback will be taken constructively, and that future patrons will receive the attentive and courteous service that one would expect from a reputable establishment like Sticks and Sushi.

You have very bad driver. They endanger traffic

We didn't have a reservation and drove past by chance and immediately thought, WOW. The place was perfect. The welcome was perfect. And the service was the absolute highlight of the evening. Lola and Yuki are really super friendly and interested service staff. We felt very comfortable. All of our many questions were answered calmly and friendly. Even though the place was more than full. Going to the toilet wasn't a disgusting experience, a rarity in Berlin. Thank you for the wonderful evening. You took us by the hand with the topic of sushi and we are looking forward to the next time. Great evening, Toka and Berni. Thank you.

Five meals order was brought in 10 min, assuring that kitchen staff suprisingly was very quick??!! Seriously? food wasn't fresh, probaly just heated in the microwave. Too much expensive for yesterday's meal.
