Steinhaus in Delmenhorst

Yesterday, my regular group and I went to Steinhaus for the first time. The service was great and competent. The food was very good. Everyone was very satisfied and full. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy.

There were three of us there on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was a bit too dark and noisy for my taste. The service was okay, but more on that later. After ordering, the food arrived very quickly, and the food itself was just as good. Nothing special in terms of flavor, and the steamed vegetables were limp and swimming in oil. We had two schnitzels with mushroom sauce and a burger. The schnitzel was nothing special, and the sauce was too thick and there was far too little. After we let them know that we wanted more mushroom sauce, a very small bowl arrived, which cost us a fortune. With the rather hefty bill for such a "so-so" meal, we were charged €2.50 for this small bowl of sauce. When we asked the waitress, she very rudely and clearly explained that we had the money and shouldn't make such a fuss. It was normal, and every guest would know, that extras are expensive. It was outrageous.

Good clean restaurant polite staff gladly again I would recommend the old goat as a citizen

There were four of us, and all the dishes were completely satisfactory. Special requests were accommodated without any problems.

Modern-rustic restaurant with a plentiful menu. No wait on a Saturday at 6:00 PM. Friendly service. Ambience/decor quite appealing. There's an outdoor terrace. Unfortunately, my meal was so-so at best... Schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce, fried potatoes, and an Italian side salad. The salad was good and tasty. The fried potatoes, in a separate bowl, were swimming in fat and not crispy at all. At least the flavor was OK. The two small pork schnitzels were smothered in mushroom sauce. The sauce was visually recognizable as mushroom sauce, but unfortunately, not in the mouth. They tasted of almost nothing. The pepper sauce on the schnitzels at the next table looked just as pale and bland as mine. The same applied to the schnitzels. Almost no flavor of their own, not even through the breading. I was extremely hungry and even ate it all, but without any real enjoyment. When the waitress then asked, as is obligatory, whether I enjoyed the food and noticed my skeptical look, she decided not to ask. By the way, there's no need for customers to create a higher noise level, because there's a persistent, endless track of bamm-bamm club music. If you like it... it got pretty annoying to me after a while.

So far, everything's good, but I'm disappointed with the schnitzel. It was probably a pre-made product with industrial breading. Better to spend a few euros more and bread it yourself.

My husband and I wanted to go out for dinner spontaneously. He called around 10:30 p.m. and asked if the opening hours on the internet were correct. It said they were open until 1:00 a.m. (Friday evening). The lady on the phone sometimes said 12:30 a.m., depending on how many guests were still there. So we went and arrived shortly before 11:00 p.m. When we asked again, they told us "just one more round." When we asked what that meant, they said, "They're not serving anymore (because they suddenly wanted to close), just drinks. If you're hungry, go for a kebab." Excuse me, what? Hospitality is something else entirely. Steinhaus is out of the question for us.

Ready-made schnitzel, ready-made salad and ready-made dressing, a pity, schnitzel was all dry, salad from the foil bag, we were very disappointed, a pity

We had a delicious meal at Steinhaus. The menu is extensive. The service was quick and very friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food, even though the place was almost full. It's a shame we don't live nearby, otherwise we would definitely come here more often.

Highly recommended. The ambiance and service are of high quality. The food consisted of several orders, and without exception, all the dishes were delicious and highly recommended. The prices are reasonable and fair. Parking is available directly in front of the restaurant in a shared parking lot. Reservations are recommended.

The food was excellent! Unfortunately, there wasn't enough bread for the starter, and we had to wait a long time for more. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

Four of us were there last night. The food was poorly presented and could have used a lot more seasoning. The service was beyond poor. We were only able to order one drink. No one came to ask if we could have anything else. Additionally, I had the impression that only their favorite guests were served. It's a real shame, because the place is really nice. For me, it was my first and last time there.

Well... no offense but today was a disappointment... the food was served carelessly and boringly... the service was completely aimless, inattentive and preoccupied with other things, such as mobile phones, looking stupid or how to ignore guests... Conclusion... no thanks, we definitely won't be coming back

We went to the Steinhaus with a group for dinner. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the service was friendly. Thanks to the separate seating areas, it was pleasantly quiet, making it easy to have a conversation.

Amazing... What a wonderful restaurant and bar... Highly recommended to everyone, and the service is simply fantastic. We were absolutely delighted with the ambiance, the food was fresh, plentiful, and incredibly delicious, and the service staff were so friendly... Magnificent, we haven't had such wonderful food in a long time, and the freshness is incredibly respectful...

The food was good, the service was good, and the prices were quite reasonable, but not cheap (€82.50 for two people including soup). I'd be happy to go again.

The Steinhaus was always great (5 stars), and we stayed here regularly. Unfortunately, the parking situation has died for us. No matter when we've been here in recent years, we've never had a parking problem. It's all about making money for the parking lot operator. The Jute Center with all its shops was pretty much the only thing that lured me to Del. to spend money, so now I'm back to HB.

I have to say, I've rarely experienced such nice, friendly staff, and the food (schnitzel menu) is simply superb. If I'm ever in Delmenhorst again, I really hope to dine there again. It's a shame there aren't six stars. You get them from me. Manfred from Gifhorn

A pleasant surprise for this city. The choice of food is also creative. I particularly enjoyed dealing with guests and the food was above average. I think the 2-hour rule is fine. Guests who stay for a long time, don't reorder and have no idea about the existence/cost structure are not okay. Better fast food then🫢

Been there on March 22nd with 9 people. The online reservation works very well, the day before you get an email asking whether it will stay that way (sensible - unfortunately there are too many no-shows). The reservation confirmation also states how long a table will be available depending on the number of guests. Which is normal, because a restaurant has to allocate tables more than once, otherwise it doesn't pay off. Food was great for everyone. The service is great and newcomers to the waitresses put a lot of effort into it. Unfortunately, there are a lot of complainers among the guests because they just have to find something, otherwise their day will be ruined. But this is also common in retail. Important: the center has now introduced maximum parking times like so many places. The idea is not to scare away customers, but rather long-term parkers who park their cars and then drive on as a carpool or by train and use the spaces all day. The official duration is 2 hours, in the parking garage 6 hours. But there are no problems in the restaurants and there is an extension of up to 6 hours. The operation shows a QR code, scan it, enter the license plate number and optionally your own email address, then there is even a confirmation that it has now been 6 hours. Well then…

We had reserved a table. After the welcome we were immediately informed that the table was only available for 2 hours. We were not told this when making the reservation. We would have liked to stay longer, but this wish was not taken into account, even though tables were still available. Exactly after 2 hours we had to pay and were told by looks that our time was now up. We would have liked to sit there some more and have a drink too. But after this expulsion, they will probably choose another restaurant that treats its guests politely. It's a shame because the food was very tasty.

Module meals also included in delivery. Potties so hot that you can't touch them (it would somehow be easier to put everything on a plate, especially since it arrives half empty). Once again you end up in the winter garden with the table reservation where the window is thrown open at the end of the day and you prefer to leave instead of freezing yourself off. Quality of the food is good.

Nice and cozy restaurant. Service was nice but a bit stressful. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was a finished product and there was no salad with it, so it was too expensive.

The Steinhaus is a great location for a cozy meal. The cozy, rather rustic-looking ambience, the delicious food and the great service complete the offer. During the meal, service staff kept coming and asking whether everything was still satisfactory, whether anyone needed something to drink, etc. Afterwards we also had delicious cocktails that didn't taste like cheap ready-made drinks from the bottle, but you could tell that they were freshly made. And in the end we were pleasantly surprised by the bill. So everything was a success, we'll definitely be back again!

Basically delicious food and sometimes nice service, tables placed close together in the main dining room, mass processing, full, constant rejection of guests because they hadn't reserved, child-unfriendly: incredibly bitchy because of decorative balloons, no toy box/corner or similar, we then have to pay from the € We bought nice balloons from Inkoop for the 5,000 tip we would have otherwise happily given to the waitress 🤷‍♀️😉

Wir hatten uns auf einen schönen Abend gefreut, wurden aber gleich bei Ankunft infomiert, dass wir das Lokal nach 2 Stunden zu verlassen hätten. Dann hat es gedauert, bis wir überhaupt angesprochen wurden, was wir trinken möchten . Auf das Essen mussten allerdings nicht ganz so lange warten. Ein weiteres Getränk und ein Dessert haben wir nicht bestellt, die Zeit knapp wurde. Wir waren letztendlich 15 Minuten über der Zeit. Es waren mittlerweile einige Tische frei und auch unser wurde nicht wieder belegt. Schade, wir kommen so schnell nicht wieder

Ich war bereits nun mehrfach im Steinhaus zu Gast, es ist immer alles bestens, vom Service über Ambiente bis zum Essen. Ich komme immer wieder gerne. Eins meiner absoluten Lieblingslokale.

Delicious food, fast and friendly service, only the music was too bass-heavy so that you had to talk louder, which ultimately didn't lead to a cozy atmosphere and, in my opinion, boom music isn't part of a cozy evening. I hope that the owner of this place changes it because otherwise everything has been taken care of.

The stone house is in a good location near Delmenhorst train station and there are also enough parking spaces for cars. The interior is tasteful and functional. I was there once a few weeks ago and on that Sunday the crowd was quite large, it is schnitzel day, which is why the waitresses were quite busy. On the last visit the number of guests was more moderate; but still pretty neat. The starter was sweet potato fries with a chilli dip. The main course was a vegetarian burger -- falafel patty, grilled vegetables and guacamole -- with fries and a smoky chili dip. These two dips are not overly spicy, but quite tasty. The patty wasn't too dry and the grilled vegetables weren't fried. The fries were OK. The double espresso comes from a machine and is not “handmade”, which is why the crema was quite strange and not like you would expect from a real café. But overall it's a decent to good restaurant. The portions are good -- in terms of the schnitzel, you get two generous pieces. I've been there several times and it's never been a disappointment.

The restaurant is clean and has a very nice atmosphere. The waiting times for the individual courses were normal. The service is super nice and attentive. The map is kept quite small, which I think is good. There is something for everyone. The prices are similar to those of the surrounding restaurants and are more in the upper price segment. But good food has its price. The location is great and there is plenty of parking space. Definitely worth a visit.

We always enjoy coming to the Steinhaus and enjoy the great service, the beautiful ambience and the fantastic menu. Just today we spontaneously reserved a table (this is often not possible at short notice - which probably speaks for the restaurant) and had another delicious meal. Wir hatten einen Tisch für zwei bestellt. Alles hat gut funktioniert. Das Essen war schnell serviert und war Mega lecker. Ich finde die Speisekarte super , weil sie nicht überladen ist. Schnell ist für jeden was gefunden. Die Getränke sind toll dekoriert und schmecken gut. Wir kommen definitiv wieder . Tolles Ambiente.

Es war wie immer alles sehr gut. Nette Bedienung, tolles Ambiente. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und kommen gerne wieder.

I ordered pasta arrabiata earlier. After two spoonfuls I unfortunately had to give the dish back because the noodles were completely over salted and didn't taste good at all. The dish consisted of 95% pasta and a purchased tomato sauce and 5 small olives. Unfortunately, that’s it. The food was very very cheap. Unfortunately it looked like the leftovers had been served… When we asked for the bill, I assumed that I would be accommodated and that I wouldn't have to pay for the meal. So it wasn't like that. The boss came to us and became very loud and abusive towards us. If I wasn't willing to pay for the meal, she would immediately call the police. There was no response at all. I've never experienced anything like this before.. Something so unprofessional.. The service is simply impossible and not customer-oriented!!!! We definitely won't be coming back after this threat!!

Very unfriendly employees, no accomodation if the food doesn't taste good! The tagliatelle was Mediterranean, the pasta was literally swimming in oil. Never experienced anything like this. Clearly, there is no way to recommend the store, at least when it comes to food.

Der Schnitzeltag, immer am Sonntag, bietet ein hervorragendes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr schöne Auswahl, da sollte für jeden eine Schnitzelvariante dabei sein.

Das Lokal ist gemütlich eingerichtet, bietet von innen viel Blick nach außen und ist wirkt insgesamt einladend. Die Tischreservierung war einfach. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist abwechslungsreich und fantasievoll. Nach Bestellung wurde zügig aufgetragen, die Portionen sind ausreichend. Die Bezahlung einfach und schnell. Der Geschmack war gut, allerdings waren sowohl auf dem Schnitzelteller als auch im Töpfchen mit den Bratkartoffeln Ölpfützen. Entsprechend der großzügigen Nutzung von Speiseöl lag beides schwer im Magen. Der Service war freundlich. Die Servicekraft ging aber erkennbar jedem Blickkontakt aus dem Weg. Entsprechend erschwert war es, weitere Bestellungen aufzugeben oder die Rechnung zu erbitten. Unnötig: zwei Angestellte unterhielten sich im Eingangsbereichlaut hörbar inklusive Namensnennung negativ über - vermutlich - eine weitere Angestellte. Das gehört in den Nicht-Kunden-Bereich.

Die Portion war leider etwas klein. Und ich bin keine Viel-Esserin. Schade, wenn man 15€ fürs Essen zahlt und dann nicht wirklich satt ist. Normalerweise schaffe ich Portionen im Restaurant gar nicht…

We had reserved a table in the winter garden. The reservation online worked great. The desire to get a table directly by the window was also taken into account. The ambience is great. We already had the table for 6:00 p.m. and it was still nice and quiet to eat because not all the tables were occupied yet. From 7 p.m. onwards everything was occupied and the volume level was already very high. But you have that in every restaurant that is fully occupied. You could still have a conversation. The food was excellent! Everything was beautifully presented. Fresh and good quality ingredients were used and everything tasted very good. I like that there are some special dishes on the menu and not just the usual. There are also some homemade items, such as the many different dips. Price-performance is also okay. I was recently in Oldenburg with Steffen Henssler. The food was comparable in terms of quality and taste, but at a much higher price. The service was, as always, very good. Here too, extra requests were no problem. We felt well served and enjoy coming back here to eat from time to time. But it's also worth it if you just want a drink. The selection of cocktails is good and happy hour starts at 9 p.m. No matter whether with or without alcohol. The homemade lemonades and iced teas are also highly recommended.

Wir fühlten uns nicht willkommen. Die Bedienungen war zwar nett und freundlich. Aber wir mussten hinter Mayo und Ketchup hinterher fragen, auch wurde ein Dip nicht "mitgeliefert". Während des Essens wurden wir nicht einmal gefragt ob alles in Ordnung sei. Für Dessert oder ein zweites Getränk wurde nicht einmal gefragt. Als wir zahlen wollten, wurden wir vergessen und sind nach vorne. Wir haben kein Trinkgeld gegeben, da in unseren Augen keine "außerordentlichen" Leistungen erbracht wurden. Es kam dann nur " Brauchen Sie den Bon? Einen schönen Abend noch, Tschüß." In der Melodie der Stimme und Körpersprache war die Bedienung aber deutlich nicht erfreut darüber, dass es kein Trinkgeld gab.

Wir hatten einen Tisch im Wintergarten reserviert. Die Reservierung online hat super geklappt. Auch der Wunsch direkt am Fenster einen Tisch zu bekommen, wurde berücksichtigt. Das Ambiente ist toll. Wir hatten schon für 18:00 Uhr den Tisch und es war zum Essen noch schön ruhig, da noch nicht alle Tische besetzt waren. Ab 19:00 Uhr war alles besetzt und der Lautstärkepegel doch schon sehr hoch. Aber das hat man in jedem Restaurant, das voll besetzt ist. Unterhalten konnte man sich trotzdem. Das Essen war hervorragend! Es war alles schön angerichtet. Es wurden frische und qualitativ gute Zutaten verwendet und geschmacklich war alles sehr gut. Mir gefällt, dass auf der Speisekarte einige besondere Gerichte zu finden sind und nicht nur das übliche. Es ist auch einiges selbstgemacht, wie z.B. die vielen verschiedenen Dips. Preis-Leistung ist auch okay. Ich war vor kurzem in Oldenburg bei Steffen Henssler. Das war vom Essen her qualitativ und geschmacklich vergleichbar, allerdings zu wesentlich höheren Preisen. Der Service war wie immer sehr gut. Auch hier waren Extrawünsche kein Problem. Wir haben uns gut bedient gefühlt und kommen von Zeit zu Zeit immer mal gerne wieder hier zum Essen her. Es lohnt sich aber auch, wenn man nur etwas trinken möchte. Die Auswahl an Cocktails ist gut und ab 21:00 Uhr ist Happy Hour. Egal ob mit oder ohne Alkohol. Auch die selbstgemachten Limonaden und Eistees sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Toller Service, schönes Ambiente. Nur leider war das Essen nicht gut gewürzt und die Steinhaus Kartoffel matschig und nicht knusprig ( wie gewohnt). Das Dessert war mega lecker. Alles in allem ein schöner Abend.
