Catastrophe....I sat there for the umpteenth time...because I let myself be persuaded again. Order a hot latte... The cellar's response was pretty annoyed. I don't know if it's hot, I'll take it out the way it comes out of the machine. I got the answer to the request to make the glass hot. He doesn't have time for something like that, I would probably see that it would be full. .... Excuse me. I come from a service background myself and an answer like that is probably the last thing the customer wants to hear. I thankfully forewent the coffee and apparently he had no problem with it with a cheerful...OK...then not.... Miserable... rip-off, overwhelmed staff... bad food and way too expensive for such crappy service. But with the stupid tourists they can afford it. If there were zero stars I would choose them

Beautiful location with a great view, free parking, BUT 3 scoops of ice cream without everything for 9 euros is amazing. Even though the menu said cream and sauce were included. The coffee only came after the ice cream had already been eaten. I can't recommend it.

Kaiserschmarrn and warm apple cake, simply great. Plus a rustic atmosphere and super nice staff. Highly recommended. Be careful when accessing from above! The stone is not fixed. You can easily slip away.

Extremely long waiting time. After waiting for over an hour for food, we left without eating. Very annoying. Such a long waiting time could have been communicated openly when ordering. Smoking also seems to be allowed at the table there. Some also have ashtrays on the tables. Had nicotine junkies at the next table the whole time. This is disgusting and out of date. Especially when visiting a restaurant with children. 0 stars.

Finished goods are offered here at overpriced prices. Given the prices, you can expect freshly prepared schnitzels. The service was also rather mediocre friendly. At least the view is good.

An impressive alpine pasture. It's hard to imagine that such a beautiful alpine pasture can be found in northern Germany. The ambience was very good and ☺️ and the wood stove was burning when we ate. There is its own brand of beer 🍺. Very nice and if we are nearby we would like to come back. Keep it up! 😉

Great, we came in there completely wet and dirty after the mountain bike tour, warmed up and had a nice meal. Nice employees. Food very good, price on the upper level but everything ok.

Unfortunately the food wasn't really good. It came quickly. "Schnitzel Förster" came with good fries, unfortunately really bad and dry meat. All in all, unfortunately quite tasteless for such a high price. Even the really great view didn't make up for the disappointment

Price performance no longer fits at all! Cheese spaetzle was ordered, which came with spaetzle baked in a cream sauce with a little cheese. The Jägerschnitzel was also served with a ready-made sauce…

Unfortunately, I had to realize that the staff was very overwhelmed. We sat outside for a long time. When we asked if we could also sit inside, it was answered in the negative. But there was still a lot of space. After a long wait, we got our drinks. After a long wait and several questions that we would like to pay, it took about 20 minutes and then someone came. So as I said, the catering was very nice, I can only recommend it, but the service was very haphazard and crazy.

The Steinberg Alm is in an idyllic location and has something for everyone. Food was good so far. I had Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla sauce, which was a bit lumpy but otherwise good and nicely prepared. The wheat was nice and cold. The service is friendly but disorganized, there needs to be some structure.

Nice atmosphere, but that's about it. If you have to wait 45 minutes for 2 "cold" dishes in a half-full restaurant... Then the pricing for some dishes is more than cheeky and borders on rip-off. The portion of the “Bavarian Sausage Salad” is smaller than a children’s plate and at €14.5 is not justified! The proportion of cucumber and onion is also larger than the sausage it contains. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture... It was definitely the first and last visit here.

This great place is worth a trip. The view, the staff and the food selection, everything was great. We'd love to come back.

We always enjoyed being on the Alpine pasture and were always able to combine the trip with a long walk to gain strength. Yes, everything will be more expensive I now accept it as “normal” and I can live with that as long as the quality doesn’t suffer. That was Unfortunately this was the case during the last two visits, which is a shame. Unfortunately, the service was no longer convincing. Nevertheless, continued success and all the best.

Wonderful location with a beautiful view of Goslar and the mountains (we had sunshine). The service was friendly, quick and took time for the guests. The food (roast rabbit, wild goulash soup) was very good and reasonably priced. The short walk from the signposted car park to the Alm is a joy. Anyone who complains about prices here: it's freshly prepared, meat from our own hunt, the transport to the mountain pasture is difficult. This is all worth more than frozen goods from the discounter at home. Thanks to the whole team, we'll be happy to come back.

Excellent place. Northern Germany's most beautiful alpine pasture. If you have problems walking, you can have a caddy pick you up from the parking lot.

Very expensive and rather mediocre food with small portions.

We each had a drink. Not cheap, but common. No food was planned. We still looked at the map. All of the food was too expensive, unlike in many restaurants that hikers also frequent. It was very crowded - great summer weather. It took a good 20 minutes for the request to be recorded. We didn't feel noticed. A brief eye contact, a brief note would have been enough. The younger waitress came to our table in a bad mood and said unfriendly "It's busy. If you don't want to wait, you can leave" (hence only 3 stars for the service). When she paid, her anger disappeared. A very nice, slightly older waitress (there would be 5 stars for that) served us our drinks and gave us friendly information. It's very good to sit outside, partly in partial shade. Furnishings suitable for the Alm. We always come back for a drink.

We were spontaneously in the restaurant with 16 people and had announced this the day before. Everything worked out great. A shuttle is available to drive people who can't make it to the door. The staff was super friendly and the food came out of the kitchen at the same time for all of us, even though everyone ate something different. The food was good and the portions were large. The prices are appropriate. It is an inn like on a mountain pasture, very rustic and heartily furnished. A trip there with the view over Goslar is definitely worth it.

The Alm is beautifully located and stylishly furnished. To achieve the perfect alpine feeling, appropriate clothing for the staff would be a perfect addition, but that's just a tip. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't fit. The glasses were not full and some were barely bubbling. This made the shower seem stale. We had dishes for around €20 and more. To do this, a schnitzel should already be fried in the pan and not look like it has been cooked straight out of the deep fryer. My steak was also very rich in fat and tendons. Only the French fries were very well done. The service still has room for improvement in terms of friendliness and speed. We didn't feel welcome and unfortunately we won't be coming back. There are better places to stop for refreshments for the money.

The location, the view and the hut are really great. That alone justifies a visit. Unfortunately the food is just standard. Everything is very simple, quality is rather medium. The schnitzel including breading is from the wholesale market freezer. Basically not an issue, but the high price (23 euros) doesn't fit. The fries, on the other hand, were very good. The service was friendly but seemed overwhelmed. It took 20 minutes for the drinks to be ordered. To pay you have to stand in a long queue (another 20 minutes). We will still come back at some point.

A clear distinction should be made here: Service was really nice and nice - 4 points. The ambience is simply wonderful. Very typical. Mountain style = 5 points! But the food: actually 0 or MINUS points, so unfortunately only two points overall! Too bad! With this carelessly prepared “ready-made schnitzel” or the venison sausages that weren’t cooked through and were only lukewarm, plus a mini salad and all at high prices - wow - you’d quickly go bankrupt in Bavaria or Tyrol! Really a shame! Come on, make an effort and cook fresh things without flavor enhancers! Please!🙏🏻

Very cozy and beautiful view. Road was a bit difficult, walking path mainly gravel and boulders and if you take the longer route quite steep path through the forest. Delicious food and wonderful relaxation. Very friendly and smooth service. Dog friendly

We were there on Friday last week... the service was great and very nice... the food was excellent... my wife eats vegan... the vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection... I can only recommend the cheese spaetzle recommend...we would love to come back...

Wir waren mit Freunden zum Mittagessen und wir hatten unter anderem das Försterschnitzel für 23€ und die Wildbouletten (21,20€). Bei diesen Preisen erwartet man frisch zubereitetes Essen und keine Fertigware. Leider war es bei beiden Essen nicht der Fall: das sehr dünne Försterschnitzel kam wahrscheinlich aus der Tiefkühltruhe, war industriell paniert und wurde in der Fritteuse erwärmt. Die Wildbouletten konnten ebenfalls überhaupt nicht überzeugen (=Fertigware) und waren nicht selbstgemacht. Die Pilzrahmsauce bei beiden Gerichten bestand aus Dosenpilzen und war ebenfalls höchstwahrscheinlich aufgewärmte Fertigware. Alles in allem war es das schlechteste, völlig überteuerte Essen seit langem, von der Qualität und Geschmack. Das ist umso bedauerlicher, da die Besitzer Almambiente in den Harz bringen wollen, das Essen aber nicht annähernd an das Essen in einer Almhütte heranreicht. (wir können hier aber nur unser Essen kommentieren). Fazit: billige Fertigware, ohne jeglichen Geschmack, völlig überteuert

To be honest, such a beautiful ambience requires just as appealing food. The map sounds promising. The Kaiserschmarrn was served handsomely - but was baked at least once. Recommendation: prepare fresh ones and make the guest wait a little longer. Baked Kaiserschmarrn for 20 euros, that doesn't have to be the case. Likewise with the wild curry sausage/fries. At just under 17 euros it was significantly overpriced, although it was tasty.

Really great location. A few meters away there is a great playground. Perfect for a Sunday family outing.

I had good memories of the Steinbergalm, but our last visit pretty much ruined them. We just wanted to eat something small, there wasn't much choice, I finally chose the Pfefferbeißer, my grandma wanted coffee and vanilla strudel. When we ordered, we were told that they couldn't be brought together, without any explanation. Then we left it at two drinks because the Pfefferbeißer was sold out (at lunchtime!!). Later our little ones came along and we ordered an ice cream, which took an inexplicably long time to arrive. Maybe things would be different here during a normal lunch, but we were very disappointed as it was, the location is actually wonderful.

Were here as part of a wedding. Unfortunately, the boss works very unprofessionally and stops the bride and groom on their wedding day to calculate things that were previously agreed otherwise! And then at absolutely exorbitant prices!!! Absolute no-go! How anyone can run a company with such an approach is a mystery to me. This was definitely our first and last visit to the Alm. I can only advise against having a party here!

ich hatte Hunger auf etwas Deftiges. Es gab leider kaum Speisen die einer Alm gerecht werden. Kein Schweinsbraten, keine Rostbratwürste, keine Weißwürste, keinen Brotzeitteller, keinen Bergkäse......, dafür ein überteuertes Schnitzel für 23.- € und Curryhuhn mit Reis. Ich ging den Berg wieder runter. Wenn Angebot und Preis stimmen, kommen auch Gäste ( wieder ) Wolfgang Graber

Service left a lot to be desired. It all took forever even though there was nothing going on. The neighboring table was said goodbye with “never see you again”. It was probably no joke, because all the surrounding tables + the person being served were pretty horrified… But apart from the service, it's really nice there.

Germany's highest mountain pasture in the north. Super great atmosphere. The view is simply wonderful. The food tastes delicious and the service is very nice.

Vi bestilte nogle af deres retter. Schnitzel, karry pølse og noget vildt kød. Schnitzler var ok men resten var ikke varmt. Udsigten var ufattelig god.

A beautiful place with great views. We were there spontaneously in the evening during the week. There was very little going on and the service was very nice and committed. There was a vegan curry with rice. Delicious! In general, the restaurant is very careful to leave nothing to be desired. If you have special dietary requirements (e.g. gluten intolerance), you can simply contact the staff as noted on the menu. The allergen declaration on the card is consistently good. There are a few purely plant-based dishes. I hope that the offering will be further expanded so that a regular visit becomes varied. As of today: Full recommendation.

A mundane pork schnitzel, plus frozen goods for just under €24 is more than ambitious. Found it in a restaurant half an hour away for €16.80 and found it to be better. In any case, the price/performance ratio is NOT right here.

It's a shame when, as a guest at a wedding party, you see how the bride's boss almost ruins the day! Super dubious and shameless to present you with an invoice on the day of the wedding for which things were paid extra for things that were not previously discussed in the correspondence! After an eternity of discussion, we were finally able to concentrate on the actual topic, the most important day for two lovers. Personally, I think it's a shame that the banquet is now remembered with such drama. We know one thing now! We will avoid the Alm.

Einfach unglaublich wie unorganisiert und planlos die Chefin dort ist. Wer ein Buffet bucht sollte unbedingt alles schriftlich fixieren. Wir sollten für nicht gebuchte Dinge ca 250€ mehr zahlen. Außerdem scheint es nicht verständlich zu sein was inkl. Veganer bedeutet. Somit wurden einfach zwei Personen mehr abgebucht. Die Chefin war außerdem patzig und hat keinerlei Feingefühl. Gäste wurden angemeckert da sie die vermeintlichenGarderobe verwechselt haben. Die Bezahlung und Klarstellung hat mindestens 30 min gedauert. Das möchte man als Braut am Tage der Hochzeit nicht. Die Alm sieht uns allesamt nicht wieder.

It's just unbelievable how unorganized and haphazard the boss there is. If you book a buffet, you should definitely put everything in writing. We had to pay around €250 more for things that weren't booked. Furthermore, it doesn't seem to be clear what inclusive vegan means. So two more people were simply debited. The boss was also rude and had no sensitivity whatsoever. Guests were complained about because they mixed up the supposed wardrobe. Payment and clarification took at least 30 minutes. As a bride, you don't want that on your wedding day. The Alm won't see any of us again.

Very nice hut with good food, which served as a film set for George Clooney's film Monument Men. Directly in the entrance area on the left there are photos showing the filming. The toilets are very clean, bright and modern. The furnishings are rustic and match the ambience. It is very comfortable, especially in bad weather. What doesn't fit is the music. Therefore a small deduction for the ambience. Dogs are also allowed in and warm up.

So the location and location were really A1. But that was it. I made a second attempt, but like the first time, the food doesn't match the horrendous price. Unfortunately, convenience meat boulettes (over 20 EUR) were not at all tasty. Sausage salad (14.60 EUR) also tested, salad itself OK, but portion too small and some ready-made bread from the bag, tasted dry and musty. When asked, first a mushy answer from the waitress and then confirmation from a bag. You can probably expect decent bakery bread for this high price on an alpine pasture. It could be such a wonderful place, but the location and ambience alone don't make it. That's really a pity.

This Steinberg Alm is off the beaten track, where films have even been filmed. It's also cozy inside. There was very friendly service and good food. I really enjoyed the wild brawn.

Today we went to the Steinberg Alm to the Rösner again. We've been here several times, and it's never really been a problem that our dog was lying next to us in our jacket on the bench. But today, today a service employee spoke to us and said Original sound: "The dog has to get off the bench. If the boss sees that there will be more chatter and he doesn't feel like it. " It's amazing how people think about the boss. Hats off, really great. This employee was also of the opinion that we were on a first-name basis, including our grandfather, who is 99 years old. Sorry, but for me it just has something to do with respect. The tone and manner of this employee are, in our opinion, impossible. We left the Alm straight away without ordering anything. So that's how service works here???? Absolutely our last visit here. We don't think you're interested in the small loss of sales, which is completely fine, but a certain reputation gets around. And we won't be recommending your restaurant to anyone else. All the best to you.

We were sat at the door with a 1 year old toddler, it was open and it was pulling endlessly. . Although it was still very empty and we had previously reserved for 7 adults and 2 children. We were able to accommodate when asked. 9 euros for a goulash soup, a small goulash soup, that's debatable. But if she's good, it wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately there was little meat to be found, and unfortunately I couldn't properly define sections of meatloaf or cold cuts. But it has no place in it. carrots. I didn't know it in goulash soup either. But from me. The main ingredient was mushrooms. Unfortunately, the production and taste are mediocre. Bee Maya/Nuggets Fries: unfortunately the nuggets were very soft. Probably not baked long enough. Went in the trash too because my daughter didn't like them. But the others were happy with their food.

We really enjoyed it again. Service is attentive. The mood was correspondingly good 👍 The food was tasty and the account was correspondingly emptier than down in town 💸

Unfortunately, the Almbrotzeit is not recommended. I had ordered. No fresh, let alone home-baked bread. It was packaged discount bread. Sausage and cheese too. It's a shame, I wouldn't order again. Kaiserschmarrn, very tasty.
