Yesterday we were at LUJO for the first time and definitely not the last time! Nice atmosphere, nice staff, super delicious food, all 5 people enjoyed it. My husband eats a rump steak every time he visits a restaurant and the steak at LUJO put our regular restaurant in the shade, simply delicious! The prices are a bit high, but the overall interaction makes up for it. I can well imagine how nice the atmosphere is once the weather is nice. 😊

Last week I planned my marriage proposal at Lujo, and even though everything had to be organized at very short notice, I was absolutely impressed! The support was exceptional from the start - the team understood my wishes and implemented them perfectly. The decoration was fantastic and fit perfectly with the romantic atmosphere with the wonderful view of Lake Baldeney. The service was attentive, warm and professional. Every wish was read from our lips. The food was an absolute highlight – excellently prepared, with fresh ingredients and lovingly presented. A big thank you to the entire team for making this special moment so unforgettable. I can fully recommend the Lujo Restaurant, especially for special occasions. We'll definitely be back!

Very pleasant atmosphere to drink a café and eat cake.

We had to change location relatively spontaneously for our wedding celebration and actually came across Lujo by chance. The owner nevertheless took a lot of time to discuss the details with us, and in the end she opened the restaurant for us two hours earlier and provided us with delicious cakes, coffee and more. The view from the terrace over Lake Baldeney is unbeatable, and the whole thing was absolutely fair in terms of price. We can only warmly recommend it.

I can share the impressions of the nice staff, good atmosphere and great view. But the cake that was served to me yesterday was by far the worst that I have been served in a long time. For a hefty price I got a piece that had probably been microwaved and was supposed to be a plum cake. Thick, crumbly base, a lonely plum here and there and the sprinkles sticky and sticky on top. That was NOTHING! The latte macchiato was okay. It could be that other things are good here, but I would be more careful with cakes. I don't have to go there anymore, especially since I had to pay in full for the item in question. And as I said, more expensive and bad is not a good combination.

Great views of Lake Baldeney and friendly staff round off your visit here. This time we tried coffee cake, next time we will choose a few other dishes. Come by and see for yourself. Moderately furnished. But value for money, especially the portion sizes, don't match the price at all. The portion of the main salad with prawns for a whopping 17.90 euros was clearly too small. The size of the salad was more like a side salad. The salad tasted okay. However, the criticism raised directly on site was not addressed in any way. Went out hungry. It's a shame, but in the future there will be one less restaurant that will be visited.

The operator of Lujo thinks he can provide sound for the neighborhood all the way to Bredeneyer Berg with his outdoor system. Absolutely wrong! Super annoying noise and noise pollution during the week!!

I definitely don't recommend it! I called in advance because of my birthday and reserved a table when I was there. The waitress showed me a table in the corner but I wanted to sit next to the lake view!! Then I asked nicely if we could sit there (even though there was free space) She said very rudely that we would be very happy to get a seat outside, many people wanted to sit in our seats even though there were many empty seats :) And when I left the restaurant it was just a waste of time! So I can just say RUDE!!!

What struck us as a bit negative was that after about 2.5 hours we were told that we had to clear the table in the next half hour because the next reservation was coming soon. But there were still a few other tables available. Unfortunately, that didn't go down well with us as we wanted to stay there longer than 2.5 hours. Edit: The review referred to the former Steg 5. This is now one of the best restaurants in the area and highly recommended! If you just want to enjoy some water or a beer with a beautiful view, this is certainly the right place for you. There is one star for the beautiful location. Unfortunately not a single star for everything else (food, waiting time, service). In my opinion, a chef who demands quality should perhaps not calculate a "large mixed salad with shrimps" at 13.90 euros - and if so, at this price it would be better to choose a variety of salads with a few but good shrimps instead of 6 frozen shrimps on half Serve lettuce. The long waiting time also did not match the very simple result served. Our feedback to the wait staff was friendly and constructive ("Unfortunately we are not completely satisfied. We would have expected more variety in the salad") but was not received particularly professionally. We will therefore not visit this restaurant again.

LUJO is a good choice for anyone who wants to enjoy a beer or delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. The view of Lake Baldeney and the regatta course opposite is very popular, especially when the summer weather is good, so you should make a reservation in this case. The crowd is very mixed, the service is attentive and the food and drink is fresh and tasty. A small downside: the parking situation is very limited, especially when the weather is good, and the small parking lot in front of the restaurant fills up very quickly. People who are not good on foot should be dropped off in front of the restaurant. However, the entrance to the restaurant can only be reached via stairs, so that certain groups of people such as wheelchair users, the visually impaired and others cannot enter the restaurant at all or only with assistance.

It's nice to sit on the terrace and the conditions are friendly. Perfect for relaxing.

Ideal for a small hunger. We recently got a currywurst with fries and mayonnaise, a fresh waffle and a large latte for 14 euros. The food was ok, you could sit in the sun and in the shade.

We were here for dinner on July 21, 2024 and had a very nice evening - despite the mixed weather. For my birthday there was a very delicious pistachio and spinach cake.

A very nice terrace invites you to linger. Anyone who likes to look at the water and enjoy a sunset is in good hands here. Chilled music completes the ambience. Next time I'll take more time and try the food.

We were in the restaurant today 😊 and we all really enjoyed it. The service was courteous and very present but not intrusive. Drinks came quickly. Our ordered food (14 people) came promptly so that we could eat together, TOP!

A wonderful establishment with delicious food, friendly service and a peaceful view

On the occasion of a 30-year high school reunion, we and 30 people chose the Lujo am See. A buffet was agreed upon for €40!! p. P., drinks exclusive!! The buffet consisted of sad slices of bread, chopped iceberg salad, containers of tzatziki, boring falafel puks, penne with something like sautéed tomatoes and eggplant, steamed carrot slices and broccoli, boring chicken cream slices and a few triplets. Even the presentation makes it sad to look at. No starters, no desserts. You couldn't have eaten that much of the stuff to ensure that the money you paid got a fair return. The food was simply disappointing in quantity and quality and was a clear rip-off for the price. There are other locations that are worthwhile on the lake. Once and never again. What made us reconciled and prevented us from having a serious argument with the operator was meeting so many nice girls again after 30 years, which was clearly a priority. Nevertheless: a disgrace for the store.

Nice terrace with a view of the lake Currywurst with fries from the warming container 9.00 euros. The drinks preparation and serving did not work well given the large number of guests at the event. As always, parking is a matter of luck on the lakeshore and at events anyway. So plan a taxi.

It was a lovely afternoon with long-time friends at the lake. Memories of times when one of us rowed in the RAB. Plus the appealing ambience of the LUJU. What is particularly noteworthy is how friendly and considerate the waitress(s) treated us. Our next meeting will take place again at LUJU.

Was here last weekend with my wife by chance and it was really worth it. We had a wonderful evening there and everything was perfect. The service was great, unobtrusively warm, almost invisible, but always there when you needed something. The ambience immediately gave us a good feeling, very nicely decorated, exactly our taste. The food was also great. Very good quality and lots of homemade items. We ate soup, salmon, steak and cheesecake. Everything was excellently done and prepared. The cheesecake was good to die for. On the terrace you have a wonderful view over the lake and you can relax very nicely. In addition, everything was more than clean, so you could feel comfortable. We would like to thank the LUJO team again for a more than magical evening and especially the lovely young lady who served us. We will definitely come back.

We celebrated our birthday with 50 people and were well looked after by the Lujo team. The guests were served calmly, interestedly and very attentively, special requests were implemented immediately, the cake buffet and dinner were presented deliciously! From planning to implementation, we were always in communication; our wishes were noted and implemented. The ambience, the hospitality and the view of the lake provide a perfect backdrop for a successful party. Thank you very much, our guests and we were super happy with the day.

Difficult to access for strollers or people with walkers

Absolutely recommended! We spent the perfect lunch/afternoon at "Lujo" on Easter Sunday. My parents and I were warmly welcomed at the door, which is a rarity in restaurants these days. The service (all of them!) is extremely friendly and attentive. You will be served quickly and without hassle, personally and professionally. The food was on point, served hot, fresh, tasty, just great! At this point, as an “ally” (25 years of gastronomy in Düsseldorf) I would like to send a compliment to the restaurant owners. Waited a very long time for the food!

Good food, friendly service despite the considerable burden caused by the high number of guests. So it understandably took a little longer.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was completely overwhelmed by the number of visitors today. The meal took about an hour. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately couldn't help. If some employees are unavailable due to illness - which can always happen - you should simply close part of the restaurant and only accept as many guests as you can serve. Otherwise, the view of Lake Baldeney and the ambience were very nice.

The restaurant is in a top location, but the service on a quiet Sunday was very distant. We didn't feel welcome at all as neither owner nor waiter smiled. The staff seemed nervous and amateurish. The coffee didn't taste like a Cafe Creme, more like an instant coffee. It's a shame, it could be a well-known company, but unfortunately unfriendly, depressive service was the reason for us not to go there again.

Very high quality and tasty food, the menu may seem too small to some people, but I like it when a restaurant doesn't specialize in too many things! There was also a great ambience with a view of the lake, very comfortable, but still stylishly furnished and not too big, so you can have a great conversation and there is still enough distance from the neighboring tables. Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist sehr schön. Der Innenraum wurde ebenfalls neu renoviert. Die Karte ist überschaubar, aber definitiv ausreichend. Preise sind im höheren Bereich. Essen und Getränke schmecken gut. Leider war das Personal sehr unorganisiert so das eine lange Wartezeit entstanden ist.

Sehr nettes Lokal mit leckerem Essen. Alle Gerichte waren wunderbar und der Blick auf den See und der Service haben den Abend zu einem Erlebnis gemacht. Wir waren unter der Woche da, es war nicht zu voll und darum sehr entspannt. Wir kommen wieder! Kleiner Nachtrag nachdem ich hier einige Rezensionen gelesen habe: wir hatten hervorragenden Fisch, Lammfiletspitzen die butterzart und von bester Qualität waren, tolle Salate und vieles mehr. Die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend. Alle waren erstaunt und begeistert über die Küche. Die (vereinzelt!) schlechten Kritiken kann ich absolut nicht bestätigen.

Der Zugang zum Restaurant führt über eine hohe Metalltreppe. Man muss also mobil sein. Ich weiß gar nicht, ob es einen Lift gibt? Wir saßen auf der Terrasse, mit Blick auf den See. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wobei meine Penne mit Lachs etwas sehr ölig waren. Hatte ich noch nie, dass am Ende noch eine dicke "Ölpfütze" auf dem Teller ist. Trotzdem lecker, tolle Athmosphäre. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und kommen wieder. P.S.: auf den Stühlen wären Sitzkissen echt toll...sonst prägt sich das Muster in den Po...ich habe mich auf mein Jäckchen gesetzt ;)

Sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Die einladende Terrasse bietet einen schönen Blick über den See auf die Regattastrecke. Die mediterran geprägte Küche ist lecker und der Service freundlich. Die Preise sind dem Angebot angemessen. Durch die Lage über dem Bootshaus des EWRC ergibt sich aber der "Nachteil", dass das Lokal nur über eine Gitterrosttreppe erreichbar ist. Für Personen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität gestaltet sich der Zugang daher etwas schwieriger.

Das Essen egal ob Fisch oder Fleisch war dermaßen schlecht zubereitet, dass man es nicht essen konnte. Personal ist schlecht im „Kritiknehmen“. Zitat: „Den anderen Gästen schmeckt unser Essen „. Schade für den einen Stern. Preise sind sehr erhöht. Einmal und nie wieder.

Ein wahres Paradies am Baldeneysee! Ich hatte das Glück, einen unvergesslichen Abend in diesem zauberhaften Restaurant zu verbringen. Die Aussicht auf den Baldeneysee ist schlichtweg atemberaubend. Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants wurde ich von der Schönheit der Natur um mich herum überwältigt. Ein Blick von der Terrasse aufs Wasser und ich fühlte mich, als wäre ich in einer anderen Welt. Das Personal war äußerst zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Sie haben sich wirklich darum gekümmert, dass ich mich wie ein geschätzter Gast fühlte. Die Empfehlungen des Kellners waren exzellent, und ich konnte die Gerichte problemlos nach meinen Vorlieben anpassen. Was mich besonders beeindruckt hat, war die Schnelligkeit, mit der das Essen serviert wurde. Trotz der hohen Gästezahl kam meine Bestellung sehr zügig auf den Tisch, und das Essen war heiß und frisch zubereitet. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss für die Sinne. Alles in allem war mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant perfekt. Die atemberaubende Aussicht, der herzliche Service und das köstliche Essen haben diesen Abend zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen und freue mich schon darauf, bald wieder hierher zurückzukehren. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für einen unvergesslichen Abend am Baldeneysee!

Sehr schönes Lokal direkt am See. Nettes Personal. Ich finde die Speisenkarte sehr gut! Nicht zu viele, dafür aber feine Gerichte. Es war sehr lecker. Wir hatten Zander und Dorade mit Gemüse und Rosmarinkartoffeln - sehr zu empfehlen. Die Lachsnudeln sind auch sehr lecker. Dazu Weißwein- Luganer - sehr fein. Wir waren schon das 2. Mal dort und wir werden wieder kommen 😃
