Excellent place. I had the spareribs that were very good.

I'm passing through and traveling privately. The steakhouse WOODS was recommended to me by locals. You can probably guess my actual profession. But as I said, I was traveling privately. Unfortunately, I have to say that there have been few times in my life that I have been so disappointed by a recommendation. Above all, meat, its quality, preparation, service and the wishes of the guest are among the most important things for a restaurant. Everything at WOODS was disappointing. Only the location is quite nice. The meat has probably already had a few days behind it, which is probably the reason why it was completely cooked through, even though it was ordered medium. The side dishes are more of a show on the plate than anything else. If you spread tasteless food on many small plates, bowls or something else, that doesn't necessarily mean that it tastes good! I would also like to highlight the bad atmosphere in this restaurant! It feels like no one wants to work there. I come from Switzerland, something like this wouldn't exist there or would only exist for a short time!

We spontaneously got a seat even though it was full and the waiter even spoke to us in Spanish. The food was really good and despite the restaurant being full there were no long waits at the table. We will definitely come back. Absolutely recommended!

We came without a table reservation, just spontaneously. We were immediately found and offered a great place. The steaks were incredibly tasty! The service was outstanding! We were very satisfied.

Went to the restaurant last night as our company's Christmas party and I have to say that if it were 10 stars, Woods would get it too. The food was excellent, the ambience was very tasteful and nice and the team was super friendly. We sat for far longer than the actual opening times and The staff continued to be very accommodating and said: take your time, everything's fine, it's nice that you're here. Something I've never heard before. And all the employees always have a smile on their faces. I'm thrilled and can highly recommend Woods.

Rib eye steak for €35 was ordered medium-rare and was served gray, dry and fried to death. Salting too long before frying probably did a fair bit to draw out the liquid. The taste was also relatively salty. The raw product (origin, quality, storage) certainly had high potential here. Unfortunately, the cooking process that evening was not good. I suspect that the meat was cooked in the salamander for too long after roasting to be able to serve all the dishes at the table at the same time. (Meat was hotter on top than on the bottom) Unfortunately, the core competency of a steakhouse was not quite fulfilled in my dish. The side dishes, however, were excellent. The ambience is still a bit “bare”. Open large hall with nave-like character. The operator's attempts to improve the acoustics with the help of sound-absorbing panels are a good approach here. But not yet effective. In my opinion, you could use colored elements such as curtains to improve the bright look (lots of white and light wood) and counteract the echoing sound. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Was always at the table at the right moment to take repeat orders. But in some cases the attention/listening when taking the order could be improved. Unfortunately, when we requested a simple glass of still water, a bottle of CO2 water was served. My conclusion: good grade 3/satisfactory, but there is still a lot of potential for improvement everywhere for the top 5 star rating. I will happily come back and then choose another product.

Great location, modern and invitingly furnished. My wife's Wiener Schnitzel was very good and very rich (two slices), so much so that she couldn't finish her side salad. Now to the spare ribs: if they are already served with refreshing towels, something is wrong. That means I have to eat with my hands and nibble the meat off the bone. That's how it was here too. With really good spare ribs, the meat should fall off the bone when pierced with a fork. So last week I was able to enjoy it twice in a steak house while on vacation in Spain. These ribs were a far cry from that. Next time I'll just eat a burger. They looked damn tasty on the other tables. That's why it's a total of 4 stars.

The restaurant offers a *very nice ambience* and the *nice staff* ensures a pleasant atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy is the *very tasty and imaginative vegetarian burger*, which is also offered at a *fair price*. Definitely worth a visit!

This is the best place we have eaten at in Europe. The server had great English. My husband who is a cattle rancher said this was one of the top 5 best steaks he has ever had in his life, he ordered the 200g beef fillet. The cocktails are great, the view is great, overall it was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Sensational!!! We are thrilled every time. From pike perch to onion roast roast to cheese spaetzle, everything is simply great!

I went after 1 PM on a Saturday and found a parking spot close to the building. It may be up on a hill but you have to walk around to the side opposite the deck (you'll see it as you approach from the parking lot). You'll go upstairs once inside and find the entrance there. I was dining alone and was the only one eating inside the restaurant, all other patrons were on the deck. My server understood English and was very polite. I had a Caesar salad as an appetizer and a T-bone steak with steak fries for my entree. It was cooked medium well and came with garlic butter and au jus. I thoroughly enjoyed it. When I finished my server asked me if I wanted anything else (coffee, or dessert). I didn't but she brought me a piece of cake. I did pay for it and a bottle of water I asked for to go with the cake. Overall expect a European experience (as far as after eating your meal) even if you're dining alone.

We were swimming at the Eibsee and by chance we came across the Woods Steakhouse. What can I say? Extremely friendly staff, great ambience and views of the golf course and the mountains. I have to say the food was excellent. Super tasty beef fillet, served with well-seasoned fried potatoes and a spicy pepper sauce. I also had a Caesar salad as a side dish. All in all a successful evening. The icing on the cake was the nice conversation with the chef. He then invited us for a schnapps and had a nice chat with us. The Woods in Garmisch is definitely worth a visit and we will be back, despite the 200km journey. LG

Upon arrival it turned out that it was a private evening. Very unfortunate and annoying, but I understand it because there is of course more to be earned from it. It is beautifully situated on a golf course.

Unfortunately, the chili burger we ordered wasn't good at all. There were only a few traces of chili, but there was plenty of gorgonzola, which covered up the taste of the meat and made the entire burger soggy. We ordered the meat medium rare. The delivery was medium medium at best and the texture of the meat was reminiscent of rubber. The meat didn't give at all when pressed, there was no trace of blood and the patty had a pretty random taste. Full marks, however, for the service, who really made an effort, and also for the fact that in the end we didn't have to pay for the burgers, just our starter, which was somewhat okay.

Unfortunately the burger wasn't really good. Service was very nice! Unfortunately, smoke from outside drifted into the restaurant.

Excellent steaks and local food

We were here for the first time and absolutely loved it! Would give even more stars if we could. Everything was perfect there too! Never had such a good onion roast before and all the other dishes we all ate (there were ten of us) were great! In addition, very friendly and courteous staff! No wish is left unfulfilled... Great ambience and the restaurant is very, very nice, very well maintained and tidy... good price-performance ratio... can only be recommended...

Very tasty food and nice location. The whole staff and especially the two owners Helena and Vladimir are always super friendly, you feel very comfortable here.

Very nice location on the golf course. We were warmly welcomed. The service was quick and very nice. We ordered spare ribs (unfortunately no photo) with fries and cole slaw. Very tender, everything freshly prepared and very good. Priced at the current level, but one of the cheaper dishes at Woods. There are sufficient parking spaces available. We recommend.

The Steakhouse Woods not only offers a great view of the golf course and the Alps, but also excellent food. The onion roast was excellently prepared. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Highly Recommended!

The food here is highly recommended, I often eat here with my wife and we are always very satisfied. The service is good. The ambience is right next to the golf club, which makes it very classy.

Almost 5 stars sounds too good to be true. It is. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't at all convincing, the herb butter wasn't right and the side dish was overcooked. A pity.

Die Lage ist super und die Einrichtung ansprechend. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Portionen gross. Leider war es schwierig die Bedienung an unser Tisch zu bekommen.

Spacious, well-maintained parking lot. The restaurant is modernly furnished and feels cozy thanks to the light wood. The food was great and so was the service. We ate the beef fillet with fried potatoes & a Wood's Burger and were very satisfied. You can taste the quality of the meat here. 👍🏼 Special requests are also taken into account here, which unfortunately is not a given in every location. If you like eating steak, this is the place for you.

Was worth it! The steak was buttery tender and the sauces were also super tasty. The waiting time was unfortunately a little longer due to the number of guests and the small number of staff, but definitely worth the wait.

Wir waren zu einer Geburtstagsfeier eingeladen. und wunderten uns zunächst, warum in einem Golfplatz-Restaurant so viele junge Leute Abendessen. Spätestens als wir unsere Bestellung bekamen kam die Erleuchtung: großartiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis bei hervorragendem Essen - große Portionen (wir hatten angemachtes Tartar und Wiener Schnitzel), gute Produktqualität, freundlicher Service. Wir werden sicher häufiger kommen, zumal uns aufgrund der umfangreichen Karte die Wahl schwer fiel. Unsere Freunde hatten verschiedene Mega Burger - lecker hausgemacht.

Best steak house in the region Oberbayern. Meat quality, cooking, sider wine all perfect. Price/quality is 1A. Went there a second time, ordered the same (surf and turf) and got the same great quality. Compared to other steak houses in Germany 10/10 points, compared to steak houses in the US 8/10 points Hope to see you soon.

top Essen lecker und grosse Portionen

Nettes Ambiente und sehr aufmerksamer Service. Alle Speisen sind sehr schmackhaft zubereitet, der Koch weiss was er tut. Mit das Beste in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Der Empfang und Service war sehr aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und dabei nie aufdringlich. Die Getränke kamen zeitnah an den Tisch. Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war angemessen. Wir waren 6 Personen, alle mit unterschiedlichen Gerichten und noch Sonderwünschen. Das Anrichten und der Geschmack der Speisen haben uns voll überzeugt. Auch der Garpunkt der Steaks war wie gewünscht. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend und wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Wir waren zu viert dort, um mittags zu Essen. Alle waren rund herum zufrieden, auch der Service war einwandfrei! Schönes Ambiente, allerdings kann ich es mir im Sommer, bzw. wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzen kann, noch viel, viel schöner! Herrlich gelegenes Lokal, inmitten des Golfplatzes, mit wunderbarer Kulisse, vom Wendelsteingebirge...

Das neue Lieblingsrestaurant meiner Frau und mir in Garmisch! Der Zwiebelrostbraten mit Beilagen schmeckt göttlich. Freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch in diesem tollen Ambiente mit rundum guten Service und Gastfreundlichkeit.

Außer sehr teuer nichts besonders. Preisleistungsverhältnis ist nicht im geringsten angemessen. Das Fleisch, egal Pute, Schwein oder Rind von mäßiger Qualität, vor allen Dingen alles TK! Der Garpunkt der Beilagen ( Rosmarinkartoffen roh) schlecht! Nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Sehr empfehlenswert! Nach der schrecklichen Erfahrung gestern im Golfclub Gut Rieden waren wir heute hier essen. Super freundlicher Service, gutes Essen, sehr schöne Location. Etwas längere Wartezeit auf das Essen ist der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt. Ansonsten : probieren Sie es aus! Die Steaks sind Klasse, die Pommes Frites haben wir selten so knusprig bekommen, der Salat frisch und gutes Dressing.

The short ribs were delicious! Great service, great atmosphere, and the golf course that it sits on looked amazing. Beautiful views of the mountains and a lot of beer and wine to choose from. Steaks looked delicious and tasted great from what my friends told me as I very much enjoyed the ribs. Extremely delicious!

Ein unglaublich gutes Restaurant. Die besten Rippchen die ich bis jetzt gegessen habe. Gute Portionen, nette Bedienung und das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Jederzeit wieder !!
