Damn delicious food. The landlord really takes care of everything.

Came without a reservation and was assigned a seat...super nice service, totally accommodating, considerate...he puts his heart and soul into his work...food was freshly prepared, just took a little longer...it tasted great , side dishes were exchanged politely...we'll be back...in 2 years, as discussed...so soon😊keep it up👌👌👌

The food was excellent. What particularly stood out for us, however, was the service. We were there with our 1-year-old son and when we arrived the high chair was already ready and a small fork was also on the table. The waiter was very attentive without being intrusive, he was friendly, polite and always kept an eye out if something was missing, passed on important information and was very familiar with the menu. A service of this class is (has become) very rare.

Excellent food, excellent service, hospitable is the number one priority for both big and small and the location more than lives up to its name 👍

We happened to go to Garmisch-Partenkirchen again and I saw on Google Maps that there was a steakhouse nearby. We (2 adults and 1 child) spontaneously decided to simply ask if we could still get a place (5:47 p.m.). It was important to us that there was something to eat for children too. No sooner said than done and we called to see if there was a table for us at 6 p.m. The nice lady on the phone said there was another table at the entrance or we could sit somewhere else. We chose the table near the entrance. When we arrived there, we first admired the furnishings and were greeted with the words “Hello, nice to have you with us.” That alone is so friendly and nice! The cards were brought to us and it was also explained that there were children's menus (mega!!!) e.g. pancakes with applesauce or ice cream, a drink and ice cream as dessert or even nuggets. That alone is mega. The nice gentleman from the service then offered to give us advice after we looked through the cards. He also pointed out to us that our meal would take some time, but that they could bring our son's food earlier. That alone shows the fine sense of service for parents too. When we had chosen, he gave us some more information about the dish and the possible combinations. Which we gratefully acknowledged. The son's food was brought first so that we could eat in peace later. Our wait wasn't really long, and there was something to look at and marvel at everywhere. We both had the Steak Mendoza (beef rump with baked potato, sour cream, garlic baguette and herb butter) and as a family we also had Steakhouse Fries with sour cream. We didn't really need the fries but we didn't know what to expect but they were nice to have. The steak was a dream in terms of quality, seasoning and doneness (medium). The sour cream was delicately seasoned and was devoured down to the last drop. The herb butter was very, very finely balanced, the bread was crispy and the baked potato was rich. The best steak I've ever eaten and we've tried quite a few. I would have loved to strip out the pots and pans. As a farewell, our son was given the treasure chest where he was allowed to choose something. And I would like to emphasize again how friendly, committed and courteous the service was. This is what customer acquisition looks like. On the one hand, we had a wonderful last evening as a family on vacation and on the other hand, we were able to enjoy this high-quality cuisine and service. If we come to this corner again (and we will!) we know where we will go! The only point of criticism: today after 2 days I'm just living off the memories ;-))))

My steak was very tasty and reasonably priced. The service leaves nothing to be desired. Ambience very nicely done. The steakhouse is busy, so a reservation makes sense!

Food was very good. Today was a rather stressful day and we had to wait longer for the food, but we were informed early enough and didn't mind. Meat was incredibly fresh and delicious. Conditions friendly and helpful. Very nice restaurant. I would come again.

An extraordinary restaurant that used to be a gunsmith, the ambience and decoration looks accordingly. We think it looks great. A very friendly and very helpful waiter, something I have never experienced before. The food was tasty, but the portion could be larger, hence only 4 stars.

After a long time we went to the restaurant again and didn't regret it. We didn't have a reservation for 6 people, but we got a nice table and the service was courteous and helpful. The dishes we ordered were sumptuous and delicious.

Fabulous little hole in the wall find. Really top notch steak. I had the fillet with peppercorn sauce and fried potatoes. Hubby had the ribeye with fries and was raving about his. The service was also top tier! Great experience, Great price that would likely be double or more in the states. Definitely get a reservation, it's a small place and got busy quickly.

After a strenuous mountain tour, we rewarded ourselves with an excellent meal. It tasted excellent and both the service and the ambience were perfect.

A clear insider tip. The ambience is really great, you are in a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff, especially waiter Gigi, is very polite, friendly and accommodating. The meal was a delight. The portions are large and the price/performance ratio is absolutely right. The quality of the food is excellent. The boss cooks herself and also came to the table for a little advice. It is important to make a reservation here, otherwise it will be difficult to find a place.

Very nice restaurant. The ambience in the restaurant is very nice, outside it is rather simple, but also OK. Service was courteous and nice, unfortunately it took a while for drinks for whatever reason. Unfortunately I wasn't convinced by the food. The portions were large and the meat was well prepared, but not really tasty... Spare ribs and the beef steak were really disappointing. All of the side dishes were very average, the only thing we liked was the pork steak. Sorry, but that's why I'm only giving you 3 stars overall.

Very cute restaurant, really rustic decorated, with history. The food is simply great, and the price is really great and fair. One of the best waitresses I've seen and met in a long time, super friendly and on point. You should probably reserve well in advance. Will definitely come back when we are nearby.

We were lucky to get a table in the evening. Were warmly welcomed by the waiter and served very well. The atmosphere is rustic and very cozy. It took a while for the food to arrive, but it was super tasty. Everything nice and hot and fried to perfection. The ribs are recommended but everything else was great too. The waiter was very attentive and the toilets are also clean.

I searched Google for a steakhouse in Garmisch and came across this restaurant within walking distance of our guesthouse! In short it is a great, tasty and very friendly restaurant! Children are also welcome here! Food was very tasty, the waiter was very, very friendly! The decor is very rustic, but that's exactly what makes it so cozy. When we are back in Garmisch-Partenkirchen we will definitely come back!

We discovered the armory by chance yesterday and were very excited. Cozy furnishings with a medieval flair and the food was excellent. We particularly remember the waiter very positively: he was extremely courteous and attentive. He does his job with heart and soul! Simply recommended.

So at first glance I don't think I would have ever stopped at this place or even considered it as a place to eat. Much less. Have steak. Though after searching most of the day looking for a place that could accommodate a large group. We found a reservation here. It had fairly Good reviews on their steaks so figured what the heck can't hurt. What I can say is beyond all expectations. It blew me away now. I've had better steaks but these are some of the best I've had in Germany. You know what they say. Don't judge a book by its cover so don't judge this restaurant by its sign for the reports of bad service it was a great place, tons of character being an old blacksmith shop and the waiter was super accommodating and very very friendly. If you're in garmis and you craving some meat, don't miss this place

Every now and then it has to be something hearty.😊We're always in good hands at the armory. My girlfriend and I would describe ourselves as spoiled foodies. We don't like it everywhere. ☝️The service is always fast. Even when it's busy, Gigi is polite and charming. The ambience is very fitting for the name, exactly what you would expect. We have never been disappointed with the dishes. We always enjoy coming back❣️

This is where we ate our last night in Garmisch. We had been eating plenty of delicious Bavarian, Austrian and Italian food but we decided to roll the dice on this place. It was close to where we were staying and had been craving a good steak. We I would have gave them 5 stars for food But the wellness of our steaks wasn't correct. I had a ribeye ordered medium and my wife had the filet medium as well. My ribeye was probably close to medium well, not a deal breaker though. However, my wife's filet was straight up rare. No where near medium. Not a deal breaker I don't mind a rare steak so we just traded. The bake potato was great served with a dill sour cream. Also had roasted vegetables as a side. Delicious as well. Of course the beers were great as they have been for our entire 2 weeks in Germany. Haven't had a crappy beer. Overall it's a very good steakhouse, just make sure they cook the steaks as ordered.

A very tasty meal, very nice staff. A small drawback...the food gets cold quickly, but it was still very tasty.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to! The two of us were there on Saturday evening at around 6:30 p.m. without a reservation, which I can't really recommend as it got busier as the evening went on. Nevertheless, we were offered two seats and given the menu, which doesn't look special and offers a lot of choice. We decided to drink sangria and a shandy. The sangria is very very good! For dinner there was “only” sirloin steak, which was fried to perfection. It was fantastic, had really nice rusty flavors and was refined with a very tasty herb butter. I'm already looking forward to the next time, but I can only recommend the restaurant to everyone. The waiter Gigi is very attentive and friendly.

The waiters are very polite and offer great service. The interior of the place is authentic and beautiful. We paid a total of 62.40 euros for the meals in the photo (+Apfelstrudel). Steaks were super delicious❤️Price performance ratio is really good.

Alles in allem hatten wir eine schöne Zeit im Steakhouse. Wir mussten zwar lange auf das Essen warten, aber das hat man uns am Anfang mitgeteilt.

Unser Kellner Gigi ist einfach unangefochten der Wahnsinn!!! Mein Mann und ich sind beide aus der Gastro, haben also immer ein etwas kritisches Auge, aber Gigi hat uns bisher jedes Mal überzeugt und wir müssen ihn einfach bewundern. Er hat die Gabe sich immer ruhig, deutlich und gewählt auszudrücken, er holt uns als Gäste in unserer Stimmung ab und beschert uns einen großartigen Abend welcher vom großartigen Essen noch unterstützt wird. Wir kommen gerne wieder, müssen aber besser immer reservieren da sich schon rumgesprochen hat wie schön man hier essen gehen kann. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team!!!

An incredible experience! Food was amazing, cooked exactly as requested. We had the pork ribs, ribeye, and two filets. By far the best steak we've had in Germany. Server was super nice and quickly responded to our requests. Service was quick, and I think we were there for exactly one hour. Great experience. 10/10 will be coming back.

Kleines sehr schönes Restaurant. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Auswahl an Essen und Getränken ist ausreichend. Wir haben etwas länger auf das Essen gewartet, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Immer wieder ein Traum dort zu essen! Nach mehrfachen Besuch über Jahre wurden wir noch nicht ein einziges Mal enttäuscht. Das Fleisch ist jedesmal perfekt auf den Punkt gebraten und die Beilagen sind sehr gut. Was aber absolut hervorzuheben ist, ist die Servicekraft!!! Noch nie eine bessere, professionellere, zuvorkommendere und sympathischere Servicekraft erlebt. Nur schon dieser Herr macht einen Besuch lohnenswert. Mein Mann und ich waren gestern zu unserem Hochzeitstag seit Langem mal wieder in diesem absolut unvergleichlichen Steakhaus. Insgesamt war das nun unser 4. Besuch. Würden wir aus der Nähe kommen, wären wir definitiv schon öfter hier gewesen. 😉 Es war - wie auch die letzten 3 Male - einfach alles perfekt. Hervorzuheben ist dabei aber unbedingt die Herzlichkeit und Professionalität des Herren im Service. So etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt - fantastisch. Das Essen war auch dieses Mal wieder unbeschreiblich lecker - wir hatten die Knoblauchsuppe und das Knoblauchbrot als Vorspeise und je ein Rinderfilet, medium gebraten, mit unterschiedlichen Beilagen zum Hauptgang: ein Gedicht. ♥️ Was unserem gestrigen Besuch aber noch die Krone aufgesetzt hat: es wurde extra ein Blumenstrauß für uns besorgt. Wir waren sehr gerührt und freuen uns jetzt schon auf das nächste Mal im Steakhaus zur Waffenschmiede. 🥹 Tausend Dank. ♥️🙏🏻

Ein schönes kleines Restaurant mit vielen alten Waffen geschmückt. Das Essen also hauptsächlich Steak war sehr gut. Die Beilagen waren auch gut. Die Bedienung sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Würden dort immer wieder gerne essen gehen.

Besuch, 06.10.2023 Wir hatten angerufen um vielleicht noch kurzfristig, für den selben Tag, einen Tisch für 3 Personen zu bekommen. Der sehr freundliche Herr am Telefon meinte, dass wir um 19:15 Uhr vorbei kommen können, allerdings dann mit weiteren Personen am Tisch. Für uns kein Problem. Bei unserer Ankunft waren wir erst einmal über das sehr urige Ambiente und der damit sehr gemütlichen Stimmung überrascht. Von außen wirkte das Steakhaus zunächst eher unscheinbar, was aber nicht negativ gemeint ist. Die Freundlichkeit des sehr aufmerksamen Kellners Gigi (dieser Name stand zumindest auf der Rechnung) zog sich durch den ganzen Abend. "Servicewüste Deutschland"? Hier absolute Fehlanzeige!!! Zum Essen kann man nur sagen, PERFEKT! Sehr gute Fleischqualität und auf den Punkt perfekt gegrillt. Für uns war es ein rundum gelungener Abend und dafür sagen wir DANKE!!!!!!

Einfach nur perfekt. Die Kellner sind super freundlich und leisten einen tollen Service und sind sehr aufmerksam. Beim Essen hat man eine große Auswahl ich kann jetzt nicht für jedes Gericht sprechen, jedoch war das Essen was ich hatte sehr gut. Es war lecker saftig u.s.w kann das Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen. PS. Das ganze ist auch sehr schön mittelalterlich gestaltet was es nochmal schöner macht.

Fantastische Steaks! Die Qualität vom Fleisch wie auch aller Beilagen war absolut phenomenal. Die Maiskolben sind die besten die wir je gegessen haben - so unglaublich lecker. Wir kommen wieder.

Sehr nette Bewirtung, Essen hat geschmeckt und unser großer Hund war auch willkommen.

Waren dort zu 2 ohne Reservierung. Mit etwas Glück haben wir noch einen freien Tisch bekommen, 99% der Tische waren bereits reserviert. Der Kellner hatte eine längere Wartezeit bis das Essen kommt angekündigt, dennoch war das Essen nach 20 Minuten auf dem Tisch. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portion ausreichend. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!

Waren am 15.9.23 Abend zu zweit essen. Wurden gleich hingewiesen das Essen sehr lange dauert. Aber war ok. Nach nur 80min kam Essen. Also Personal sehr gut, nett, zuvorkommend. Essen. Teller kalt. Fleisch rib Eye 270 medium rare war der Wahnsinn. Sehr gut gebraten, butterzart der reinste Wahnsinn allerhöchstens Lob, aber dann die Beilagen. Wedges selbst gemacht top. Aber das Gemüse tk und dosen zeugs. Rote sauce war wohl von Knorr aus der Flasche, kräuterbutter wie n Haufen draufgesetz und das Zeug ist nicht mal verlaufen obwohl es nur weich war. Zu den wedges irgendwas weißes mit grün. Schmeckt weder nach quark, joghurt, Schmand,... Kein knobi einfach nur leer geschmeckt. Macht weniger Zeug auf die Karte das aber besser und bißchen mehr hübsch. Also Fleisch und Preis 100% top. Beilagen naja für den Preis so n Zeug bekommen nicht so toll. Hat viel kaputt gemacht. Kommen dennoch wieder zum zweiten versuch

Hier ist es wichtig vorher zu reservieren, dies habe wir auch getan. Das Personal so wie das Essen nichts zu bemängeln. Wir waren mit Kleinkind da und haben sogar hier was für die Kleine gefunden. Wir haben es sehr genossen, kommen gerne wieder.

Immer wenn wir in Garmisch sind, esse ich die Spare Ribs, bessere habe ich noch nirgends gegessen. Wir waren in diesem Urlaub zweimal in der Waffenschmiede, beim zweiten Mal habe ich Surf and Turf gegessen, auch dieses kann ich nur empfehlen. Mein Mann hatte beim ersten Besuch ein Rumpsteak, beim zweiten Besuch ein Filetsteak, auch das war beides hervorragend. Das Fleisch hat eine super Qualität, war auf den Punkt zubereitet. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die Bedienung durch den Chefkellner, er ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, sehr kompetente Beratung bei der Auswahl der Gerichte. Das Restaurant hat ein besonderes Ambiente, es ist sehr gemütlich, im Sommer auch Tische draußen. Bei jedem Urlaub in Garmisch, gehört der Besuch der Waffenschmiede zum Pflichtprogramm.

Visited the Steakhouse after climbing Zugspitz so we all had a good appetite. Didn't know anything about the place other than its Google rating and our hotel couldn't tell us anything, but we have it a try and absolutely no regrets. I had the Hueftsteak. I've never heard of this cut before but it was described by our waiter as lean and very flavoursome. Our waiter by the way was brilliant and made the experience all the better. I had the steak rare and my partner had it medium. Both steaks were perfectly cooked, really big (which matters when you've just climbed a mountain), fantastic value, and melted in the mouth. I am being totally honest when I say it is the best steak I have ever had in my life 😋 Didn't see any other tourists there, definitely book in advance as very popular with the locals.
