Steakhouse Mendoza in Potsdam

Simply delicious, friendly and highly recommended!!!

This is a great restaurant for a great steak! Whether you order a rare steak or medium rare, our fillet steaks were cooked to perfection. The older waiter was simply a model: friendly, courteous, proactively offered us tips for matching side dishes, and even had a good joke. We'll be back! P.S.: Bruschetta, plenty of bread, and a nightcap were all on the house. Hats off, you really feel at home here!

We went to Mendoza in Potsdam today for my partner's 33rd birthday and were absolutely thrilled! We received a warm welcome right from the start and were surprised with a complimentary bruschetta. For starters, we shared the carpaccio – super fresh and flavorful. For the main course, I had a perfectly cooked fillet steak with fried potatoes, a side salad, and Béarnaise sauce, while my partner enjoyed his fillet steak with green peppercorn sauce, potato wedges, and green beans with bacon. Everything was superbly prepared and of the highest quality. We would particularly like to highlight the service: The waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive, and treated us to an Amaretto as a nightcap – also on the house. An all-round successful evening with first-class food and heartwarming service. We will definitely be back!

The steakhouse has the advantage of offering a terrace when the weather is nice, but directly on the sidewalk. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they like the advantage of fresh air with the disadvantage that every passerby can examine the plate. Just having the choice is good. The waiters are friendly, the waiting time is acceptable, and the price is within the usual local range. I would have liked my sirloin steak not to have been split on the bottom, but if the chef needs this to see whether it's done, I prefer it to getting an unsuitable piece All in all a decent restaurant with small weaknesses

Very tasty meat except once with a taco where the mince was a bit dry... but that was a while ago. Today the meat was perfectly medium as requested and everything was perfect. The Mendoza pan is recommended

We walked a good 6 km from the New Palace to the restaurant. It was worth it! Great attentive service, top fish platter and Argentinian pan with tender strips of beef. Unfortunately we only have one stomach.

We stopped here spontaneously because we still had time and were hungry before our appointment. Food was excellent. Very decent portions, meat was cooked to perfection and extra requests were no problem. The waiter was extremely friendly and very accommodating. We were lucky that we just found a parking space in front of the door, but I can imagine that it could be a problem at the weekend.

I would be invited there for dinner. We were warmly welcomed. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing. Whether it was the starter or the main course, everything was delicious. A small drawback: it took over an hour for the food to arrive. It was too long for the children who were there. Well the store was full and that's to be expected on Friday evening. Regardless, it was a nice end to the day. I would like to come here again to eat. Clear recommendation to come here.

Great steaks at very reasonable prices. Try the fillet platter: lamb fillet, kangaroo fillet and beef fillet, absolutely to die for. This is an update 5 years on from my last. I have been coming here maybe once a month since then. It is still on of my favourite restaurants of all time. It's a good consistent Steakhouse, the steAks are cooked consistantly to the finest standard, the service is great and it has incredibly competitive prices. The staff are lovely. If you want a good steak in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place

Traditional furnishings, beautifully located in Babelsberg. The food was fantastic and came quickly despite the store being full. Good portions for a human price. The staff was very accommodating without being intrusive. We'll be back! :)

The food looked good, but it was somehow prepared incorrectly (maybe it's Lieferando's fault). By that I mean that instead of having a steak, I now have fries. Not great on a hungry stomach.

We spent our Christmas party there with around 60 people, the service was courteous, quick and very polite. The food was delicious and despite the number of people, everyone had their food quickly. We thought it was particularly great that we had part of the restaurant just for ourselves.

The food tasted good and the portion size was more than sufficient. Rustic ambience, hospitality reduced and kept to the minimum. We didn't find it very cozy and limited our stay to dinner, although the cocktail happy hour was tempting.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. The ribs were fatty and almost devoid of seasoning. Highly vinegary barbecue sauce. Kangaroo poorly fried without spices. Conclusion: poor quality meat, very poorly seasoned and poorly prepared. Pity. We were in the mood for good food at this price. We will never come here again

We discovered this steakhouse a good 10 years ago and since then it has been our absolute number 1 in Potsdam. We don't go anywhere else anymore. The food is incredibly tasty and the prices are unbeatable. The atmosphere is also super inviting. You feel completely comfortable. We eat there with all of our friends and relatives and can fully recommend it!

The Mendoza is a steakhouse, some of which also has Tex Mex cuisine in its concept. I ate there once and it didn't completely convince me, even though I've had bad Tex Mex food before. The atmosphere is a bit cheesy and feels like you're trying to look like a beach bar at all costs. The service, on the other hand, was super friendly and attentive the entire time - a big plus point for this. The drinks were okay. There's a pretty good selection of beer, but only a very small selection of cocktails. The cocktails taste okay, but are quite expensive. Before the starter I had the side salad for my main course and bruschetta on the house. The salad was fresh, but a little too coarsely chopped and had a fairly watery dressing. The bruschetta was really bad - unfortunately I can't say otherwise. The bread was not properly toasted and was still cold inside, and also very dry and crumbly. It's always nice if you rub it with garlic or drizzle olive oil on it, which didn't happen here - at least you didn't taste any of it. But it was free, so I don't want to be so critical here. My friend had snails as a starter. They looked very good and tasted very good too. I had fried mushroom heads. They were quite large and I probably should have used the stuffed mushroom heads because large mushrooms would work well for that. When fried, due to their size, they were a bit watery on the inside and not quite as crispy on the outside. There could easily have been a little more than three pieces at just under €9. Unfortunately, you could also taste the oil in which they were fried. The remoulade dip that came with it tasted just like the curry sauce at the Dönermann, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing for me because it somehow went well. The main attraction was of course the 400g entrecôte that my friend had. She really liked it and the meat seemed to be of very good quality. The side dish also went well. However, according to her, the meat could have been trimmed a little better as there was still a little fat and tendons on it. I had the vegetarian enchiladas. They were somewhat OK. The filling tasted good. But it wouldn't have hurt if they had been seasoned a little better or had a hot sauce included. In addition, the cheese with which they were baked was quite unspectacular, did not have a golden crust and did not have a good cheese pull. The potato wedges, which looked very good and homemade, were partly not completely cooked on the inside and some had those green spots that you sometimes find on potatoes. At the end there was an aquavit on the house. I think if you really stick to the steaks here, you can have a pretty good time here. But I wouldn't necessarily come back for the Mexican part of the menu.

To get one thing out of the way. You don't need to expect top-notch cuisine here. But in terms of price/performance ratio, this restaurant can be recommended without reservation (even at times of high inflation). The food was really tasty with decent portions. And the team is really super nice. Always have a cool saying up your sleeve. If you wanted to pay, you could get schnapps etc. on the house. Not a given these days either. Keep it up, Mendoza.

As a starter MAMMA MIA che buena la bruschetta! The dishes were delicious, the service matched the bruschetta. The atmosphere was tropical, a very warm interior (we really thought we were there) Here is the dish I had: a really tender chicken that I recommend. I invite you to discover this place.

A cozy restaurant in the middle of Babelsberg. The menu is very varied, from fillet steak to kangaroo as well as nachos and pasta. Prices are within normal limits. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The dishes are decent, the steaks are very good. The only thing that needs to be improved is the spare ribs. We went to Steakhouse Mendoza for lunch today. As with every visit here, we were warmly welcomed. All dishes were cooked to perfection and everyone at the table was very satisfied. The hospitality towards children is particularly noteworthy; they get their food here first. After the main course, we treated ourselves to a delicious ice cream cafe, prepared by the in-house café. We really enjoy eating here and can only recommend everyone to try it.

I reserved seats here for my birthday and they were available when we got there. The service here is very nice, but it was a little overwhelmed that day because it was really busy, but I think you can forgive that a little. The food is very clearly defined. I mean the place is called steakhouse. You get what you expect. You get steaks and other delicacies. In terms of price, this restaurant is relatively expensive, so you have to be aware of that beforehand. Unfortunately, at least my steak plate was way too well done, which simply ensured that the steak was super dry. Unfortunately. But there were five of us and three out of five said. The food was very good. They didn't order the steak medium well, but rather a little rosier. As usual in a steakhouse, you have to be prepared for the fact that you have to order the side dishes for an additional price. The drink selection of course includes a lot of wine, which is absolutely great for a steakhouse. Or orange juice or something similar. The outdoor area is also very nice. Even if it is in the middle of a street intersection, you can sit and eat outside without any problems, as it is simply separated by small flowers and hedges. There is still a sidewalk in between, so that is absolutely justifiable. But you get a great location. It was also very nice that the staff came up with a little something for my birthday. In the shape of an ice cream sundae with a sparkler. I found that very sweet.
