The waiters are very attentive, the food is excellent, and the seating is very comfortable. We were there recently for about six hours; it was very entertaining, and the time flew by, especially thanks to the service. We'll definitely be back.

We went to the Kupferspieß steakhouse for dinner. In short, the food was really good and delicious 😋. Luckily, we had a reservation, because the restaurant was extremely busy...and on a Tuesday, no less! Perhaps that was the reason why service took a little longer—but it was still "acceptable." Overall, I can recommend the restaurant, although you should make a reservation as a precaution.

We discovered this restaurant by chance last year and were thrilled. This year, we were happy to drive the 80 km here to enjoy the flambéed Neanderthal platter again on our wedding day. The owner and the entire team are super friendly, and we'd love to come back! Many thanks also to the kitchen for the amazing food!

Now with an exceptionally personable new owner who knows how to empathize with his guests, and you can tell he enjoys visiting his restaurant. With great taste and attention to detail, he has renovated and modernized the entire restaurant, but retained its cozy character. The menu is well organized into many categories, and everyone should find something to suit their taste. The quality of the food is excellent, and we had no complaints. The prices are absolutely reasonable, and the service is perfect (it always has been). The seating is very comfortable here (the new chairs are great), and they also have decent cutlery with really sharp knives. They cut through schnitzel like butter. All in all, the Kupferspieß is and remains a definite recommendation. We'll be happy to come back again. P.S. If the website worked better, we'd definitely give it a sixth star ✴️. But we're sure he'll get that sorted, too.

I was there last week. The outdoor area has been beautifully designed – especially the new roof is a significant improvement over the past few years. Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated recently. The taste is only average, and the service was also rather disappointing – there's definitely room for improvement! The overall ambiance is harmonious and deserves 5 stars. It's a shame the food and service can't keep up. I hope things improve soon – there's definitely potential there.

A warm welcome from the chef as soon as we entered the restaurant. Our food arrived quickly and was authentic and delicious. The shrimp appetizer was excellent! The entire team is very competent and attentive. The portions are generous, and the value for money is absolutely reasonable. The atmosphere was very pleasant and informal. The outdoor area, or rather the terrace, was a bit sparse, but it will surely be even more beautiful after the upcoming renovation. We've been eating at Kupferspieß for years. We're thrilled that the restaurant has been given a breath of fresh air under new management. New sauce for the improved salad, new dishes, and a changing menu. The food is all freshly prepared and of good quality. The prices are reasonable. We always receive a warm welcome, and the service staff are friendly, helpful, and always very attentive. We feel very well looked after here and enjoy coming back again and again.

Four of us ate here and we all thought it was fantastic, it was really, really delicious 😋 The food was brought to everyone at the same time and was hot and appetisingly presented. The selection of food and drinks is great. What's also worth mentioning is that no matter what we ate, everything was fresh, great!! On top of that, the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, no matter what request or change we had (it happens sometimes), everything was done with a smile, all in all a successful evening. What's also perhaps important is that you definitely make a reservation, it's worth it!! We'll definitely be back

Prices have risen dramatically. The food was okay, but it could have been better. And they've omitted the usual liquor. The friendliness has also been better. I think this was our last visit. A shame!

The atmosphere is a bit rustic but nice, but the food is very tasty - especially the steaks! - and the employees are usually very friendly (just as you shout into the forest, it rings out again.) I had a 300g rump steak with fries and herb butter and a large cola, I was definitely full :) The bus stop (Stahlenhauserstrasse; bus O5 or O6) is right in front of the door, so it's easy to reach if you don't want to drive. Recommended for steak or meat lovers.

The seating in the winter garden is in need of an overhaul and so is the ambience...the food: rump steak great...mixed salad ok, fries great...unfortunately no Altbier on tap...
