Really good food 👍👌😊 Reasonable prices and therefore there were many people in the restaurant, so we waited a bit for the food - but it was completely ok and the atmosphere is good. If we come by, we will definitely come again ☀️

I would understand it if it were an adult, but if a two-year-old child needs to go to the toilet, you can just let them go… They charge for that too.

The steakhouse is well located and easy to reach. Seating is very flexible, which makes it a pleasant experience. Although there was enough staff on hand, unfortunately, little attention was paid to the needs of the guests. The food was served quickly, but the quality left much to be desired. The burgers on whole-wheat bread were disappointing – the bread was soggy and the overall texture was unpleasant. The side salad was warm, as if it had been reheated, and accordingly tasteless. When we gave the server our feedback during clearing, he simply replied with a curt "Sorry" – no real interest in improving or retaining customers. Please note: Side dishes and herb butter, or similar, are charged separately! In my opinion, this restaurant is not recommended if you're expecting a good dinner. Unfortunately, both the service and the quality of the food leave much to be desired.

We visited Leon's for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. Our server, Marko, was fantastic, and we felt completely at home. The menu offers something for every taste. The food was delicious and the portions were more than generous. We'd love to go back!

We stumbled upon Leon's by chance during our visit to Rostock and had lunch there. The welcome was very friendly and the service was excellent! The food was very good and tasty (steak and baked potato with chicken strips). Leon's is highly recommended, and we will visit again when we're in town.

We dined at Leon's with a group of 10 people on Sunday evening – and it was a complete success. The appetizers, including the shrimp pancakes and Ragout Fin, were excellently prepared and a perfect start. The main course was once again impressive, with zander, straw-fed pork rib eye, beef rib eye, and a cheeseburger – each dish cooked to perfection and delicious. The service deserves special mention: attentive, friendly – ​​exactly what you'd expect. An all-around successful evening in a pleasant atmosphere. We'd definitely be happy to come back!

Had dinner at Leon's this evening. We decided to do this because the menu was very extensive. When we arrived we were greeted by a cold ambience. But we wanted to give the food another chance. Unfortunately we were disappointed there too. Meat dry and fried to death, bruschetta was not attractive. The waitress was asked about it and said it would be prepared in the morning. The hammer came at the end. The bill amount is 120€. Once and never again.

We came to your restaurant spontaneously because our oldest wanted to go to a steakhouse. The menu had already appealed to us in advance. We didn't reserve a table, but we were still able to sit with 6 people. The service and operation was mega. Right at the beginning our daughter was given something to color without us asking. Everyone enjoyed the food except our daughter. When we reordered a children's schnitzel we immediately asked whether there was something wrong with the food. Unfortunately she didn't like the fish, but we adults did. We got the schnitzel for free. Which is absolutely not a given. Of course we would have paid for it too. The ambience is also super nice. The restaurant is a bit hidden. But that doesn't detract from anything. We'd love to come back.

Very good steak restaurant, discovered it through a recommendation from our hotel. I was very impressed with my lumberjack steak and my friend was very impressed with her hip steak medallion. The service was very pleasant and friendly right from the start. We felt completely comfortable. Keep it up and when we are back in Rostock we will pay you a visit again.

The food was absolutely delicious in all respects, the steak, shrimp, burger meat, everything was really very good and praiseworthy. Very child-friendly, reasonably priced and really recommended. A little tip for service: In my opinion, the children's food does not have to be served at the same time as the adults' food, so you could satisfy the children's hunger. (We were there with 14 people, 7 of whom were children. The service can ask if it's okay if the children get their food before the adults). Drinking is also great.

The year 2024 is coming to an end and I don't want to miss the opportunity to thank the entire staff. Our stay was a while ago. We have been to Leon's several times and can highly recommend it. The restaurant is located right in the heart of Rostock in a very quiet location. The breakfast and the food in general are very tasty and plentiful. The entire staff welcomed us very friendly, whether for breakfast or dinner, and fulfilled our every wish. Everyone is very professional and responsive to guests.We met up with friends there a few times during our stay. It was a lovely evening and we also enjoyed breakfast in peace in the morning. We wish everyone a good start into 2025, combined with all good wishes. We'll definitely be back!!!!!!Leon's is always a great place to go when we stay in Rostock.

On December 29th Reserved there with 20 people, or so we thought. Despite confirming the reservation, no one knew. The gentleman at reception would have preferred not to accept us either, despite the occupancy being around 20 percent. There was already a sign at the entrance saying card payment was not possible, which is just a joke these days. Continue to order. Only when the food order was taken did we find out that the ribs were out, even though it was called ribs, steaks and fish. One of our people ordered surf and turf, the steak order didn't ask for doneness, he got it medium. Unbelievable for a steakhouse. The plates from the burger to the schnitzel were carelessly prepared. We were there last time. The service was completely inexperienced and incompetent.

First of all, it was a disappointment! My rib eye and that of my colleague were quite tough. The taste is so-so, not for true connoisseurs, as advertised on the board and in the menu. The fries were good, you don't have to go to a steakhouse for that. Price/performance doesn't fit.

I was able to make a reservation easily in preparation for a vacation, but it wouldn't have been necessary. So I entered the almost empty restaurant with my wife, somewhat skeptically. But the greeting from the service employee was already convincingly friendly. The drinks came quickly and the menu also contained enough dishes that appealed to my wife, who is not so fond of meat. Since I don't bother preparing a perfect steak at home, I left this task to the chef, who I didn't know, and he completely convinced me. Price and performance match. The only thing that doesn't get the highest rating is the ambience, but I was in a restaurant and not an art gallery.

Schöner Abend mit meinen Mädels. Richtig leckeres Essen, auch für unsere Töchter, die vegetarisch unterwegs sind. Wir hatten Garnelen-Pfännchen und Carpaccio vorweg, die Mädels u.a. Zwiebelringe. Hauptgerichte mit Rinderfilet absolut fantastisch.

Since we strolled through the city on Friday evening to look for a few Christmas presents and anyway in the evening we went to the Paul Panzer Live in the Stadthalle, and because we were hungry, a lot of people wanted to go to a steak restaurant where I had a good meal with other friends. Since I saw that spare ribs were on offer on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I looked at the menu for alternatives. The menu had a lot of products, which I personally don't like. You sit there and see too many dishes. What makes you decide to search further and further because you can't decide. The friend I was there with looked and found something after 2 minutes. After 15 minutes I decided to try a rather unusual dish in a steak restaurant: schnitzel gratinated with bacon, tomatoes and BBQ sauce. Since I am a chef myself. (sorry was) I'm still family bound.^^ ...Isn't it unusual that I have something to complain about about my (former) competitors. We had what I already found a lot on the menu: 20 different dishes + salads and desserts. The dishes were 5×cooked fish dishes, 5×fried fish, 5×schnitzel and 5×steak dishes. There were also 5 types of vegetables to choose from depending on the season. And 5 filling side dishes. There were no changes in price because the sweet potato fries cost €3 more in price. Map with the boss and if there was a chef always edited in the restaurants where I performed my services. Sorry, I'm digressing a bit. Well, the drinks and food were chosen and, as usual, we talked about it among friends. I've never drunk the beer before but it was quite good. Then the food came. It looked great, some sweet potato fries looked a bit burnt The gratinated schnitzel was quite good, the first piece had bacon, tomato and cheese, hardly any BBQ sauce where the taste was a bit more intense, the remaining pieces had BBQ sauce. You could still taste the bacon in between, but otherwise the BBQ sauce masked the taste of the schnitzel and tomatoes. I don't blame anyone, especially the cook. But usually you should know that BBQ sauce has a more intense taste than meat or other ingredients. The mayonnaise served in a small bowl looked like a cream in consistency. Mayonnaise is a little liquid and was also served as a sauce for the fries. The sweet potato fries, although some looked a bit burnt, were absolutely tasty and crispy. I'm interested in where you get them from. The side salad with the dressing was also great. The bill is a bit pricey but it's worth a visit. Next time I'll have steak again. 😅 What I personally like, I asked the service lady if the tip would be shared with the chef and she said yes. Personally, I think it's great because I also got something from tips in most restaurants. Ultimately, every restaurant depends only on the service but also on the chef(s). I used tips to pay for vacations for my wife and children. A little relaxation without having to break into your normal budget is worth its weight in gold, especially in this industry, so I'm happy to tip a little more. I would like to come back here, maybe in a few days/weeks when the Christmas market is finished. 😉

I thought for a long time whether I should write something about my visit. However, even a week later, visiting you bothers me so much that I'm going to say it now. When I reserve a table at a higher-priced steakhouse, I actually expect a set table. There was simply nothing here apart from salt and pepper and an extinguished candle. “Setting up” then consisted of putting down a plate with cutlery. We were given meal cards with different prices (bruschette sometimes €11.90 or €12.50). Unfortunately, the aioli only tasted like mayonnaise and probably just missed the garlic. The worst, however, was the T-bone steak. For an impressive €100.10 (see picture) I expect a highlight. But what you delivered was terrible. For this price, it's simply not appropriate to mess up this piece of meat with chives and other indefinable ingredients. In addition, the quality (infused with tendons) was not even remotely commensurate with the price. The cooking point was not met (medium ordered, received well). When I explained the problem, I received the answer: “Unfortunately you can’t figure it out.” The espresso was only served lukewarm. Sorry, but that was the first and last time. By the way, it would be nice if you could repair at least one of the three broken urinals.

Unfortunately nothing special with overpriced prices. The far too long menu actually gives it away...with everything on offer...i.e. Fish, meat, burgers, pasta, ribs, steaks, schnitzels, salads, vegetarian and and and the food can only be mediocre. The service leaves a lot to be desired...if I have to ask for cutlery twice. What was positive was that we got the tastiest onion rings there.

The one star is for the nice service at breakfast. Breakfast not recommended! Not much choice at the buffet and everything wasn't fresh, the rolls were old and very hard, even the coffee didn't taste good. And very expensive at €16.90 per person.

We were on a shopping spree and urgently needed a little refreshment. Since we have been to Leon's several times, we chose this restaurant, which is located in a small courtyard (the Hopfenmarkt). We didn't have to wait and were seated straight away (note: due to the excellent quality, a reservation is STRONGLY recommended for the evening!) Our food came without any significant waiting time and tasted absolutely first class. We would like to highlight the very nice and courteous service, to whom we would like to thank once again. Ms. L. knew how to unobtrusively convey to the guests how much she enjoyed her job: we found her sensitive way of dealing with customers to be remarkable. Conclusion: if you want to have a good meal in the old town in Rostock, you can't miss “Leon's”. Absolutely recommended!

A very pleasant steakhouse with a wide selection, not just steaks. In my opinion, the prices, especially for salads and desserts, are a bit too high. However, the food and service was OK.

We were able to spontaneously reserve a place here for the evening on the holiday, which made us very happy! Went there as a family with our youngest son. Our service was really very nice and also absolutely child-friendly! You don't actually experience that everywhere, especially in the evening business, here you had the absolute feeling that it was totally okay to go out to eat here with a small child! The children's menu was also absolutely sufficient and it was a very large portion, which was nice because the children's portions are often really small! We adults had steak and it was really fantastic! I would have preferred to eat another one straight away. The only side dish I had was the pan-fried vegetables, which were also very tasty! I would have liked a few more alternatives here, which didn't necessarily mean fries or potatoes but it was delicious! There was a salad first and it was really good too! All in all it was a nice evening with very tasty food, which was worth the price and we will definitely come back!

Also Dienstag und Mittwoch hintereinander zum Rippchen satt essen dort gewesen. Die Rippchen zart und in drei verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen. Beide Abende super nette Bedienungen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden wieder kommen, wenn es uns nochmal nach Rostock verschlägt.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant. After we sat down, we had to wait about 20 minutes until someone came and asked for the drinks. The rest also took a very long time. A total of 3 things were done wrong with my order. The food itself was okay but definitely not worth the money. My steak was a bit tough and cooked incorrectly. You should expect more from a steak house. The waitress who took our food was very nice. However, the other waiter seemed slightly annoyed and was quite passive aggressive. However, it should be noted that the beer is delicious and the interior is very cozy.

We spontaneously called Leon's and tried to get seats. It worked too. We were there on time and received a friendly welcome. Drinks came immediately and then the food. It was delicious. First the tiger prawns and then the steak. Really delicious. We will definitely come back and have also recommended it to our families, friends, relatives.

Were here on a Monday with the family. Basically you can say that the service was friendly and the drinks and food came quickly. The children were also well looked after. Then the problems arose. There was a sign saying "Swine for 15.90". I thought the offer was good and ordered the Hamburger Schnitzel. My wife only ordered a baked potato and a side salad from the side dishes. To my surprise, it was a main course with the baked potato and, for me, a schnitzel without an offer. In the end we paid almost 10 euros more. The schnitzel wasn't good either. A little chewy and very very fatty. We won't go here again.

Quality beef, and the rest of the food is alright as well. The staff is nice, they pay attention. The vibe is defined by high paying locals.

Tourist rip-off. Today we were disappointed in many ways. Bad service, long waiting times. We had actually reserved a cozy table for my birthday, which was supposed to be set outside in the nice weather (statement on the phone). Nobody on site knew anything about it. Tables were quickly put together. The dilemma continued. A filet mignon, raw in the middle, was declared medium rare by the waitress. Fried potatoes as limp as if they came out of a pot, etc. I eat out regularly in Rostock, but this was the worst experience, despite the high prices I had in Rostock. Definitely my last visit there. I will advise my friends and business partners against it. It was the first time I wasn't willing to leave a tip. Service desert Leon's restaurant.

A nice start into the new week to the entire team at Steakhaus Leon's 🌞. We were their guests for the first time yesterday, Sunday August 4th, 2024, after making a reservation by phone two days earlier. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a very nice, comfortable table. The food was absolutely great and absolutely worth the money, especially since the portions were completely sufficient. At the end we received a small thank you from the kitchen in the form of 2 bottles whose contents looked like orange juice. My boyfriend tried to drink it for breakfast this morning and threw up because it was something completely different. Namely something to grill. In any case, we still had fun this morning from yesterday evening. We can definitely recommend this steakhouse. Next, a visit to the hop cellar is planned due to the managing director's great article in the Ostseezeitung. We really liked this one, as I am a trained restaurant expert myself. We arrived quite late in Rostock and this was closest to wherewe were staying. The food was surprisingly good and thd portion size quite big. Didn’t manage to take photos of the food but their steak was cooked well, we had the ribs and the duck burger. All very well executed.

Were curious about the steaks in the highly praised special oven, well. It would be particularly juicy if the cooking point had been reached. And no one needs the mumbo-jumbo with the “special knife” from the suitcase. The highlight was the small dollop of herb butter, served on a cheap plastic board. So all in all, we've eaten at steakhouses for less money.

Ein weiteres Beispiel das Sauerfleisch, es bestand hauptsächlich aus Gemüse, Aspik und sehr wenig Fleisch.

It was our first visit to Leon's because my son wanted to eat steak for his birthday and this restaurant was recommended to me by work colleagues. Nice quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The food was terrific and delicious and the service was courteous and polite. We'll be back ☺️

As a family, we spontaneously decided to have lunch at this restaurant. We had reserved a table for. However, when we arrived there was no reservation🙄. The Staekhouse is currently advertising a CRISPY vegetable pan. I then ordered these and got ratatouille. However, the vegetables were swimming in oil and were anything but crunchy. More like stew. I didn't even eat half of it and mentioned it to the employee. However, there was no apology and the price of €23 for stew is very excessive! I'd rather go to the Block House and eat a crispy vegetable stir-fry!

I like the restaurant very much. I think the location is very good, central but in a quiet area. The food tasted very good, the staff is professional, very nice and friendly. The ambience is also great. The outdoor area is also very nicely decorated.

We were in Rostock for a few days and stayed overnight at the Hopfenmarkt and ate at the associated Leon's. The food was very tasty and the service, especially Jonny, was super nice. We had to wait a bit for the food, but were compensated by the delicious food. We had fish fillet and fillet minced steak with herb butter. The breakfast was simple but had everything you needed. We'd love to come back.

Extremt otrevlig servitör som slängde menyer på bordet, inte ville ta beställning innan alla satt ner samt skällde ut andra gäster för att dom inte kunde tyska. När servitören skällde ut min vän för att denne ansåg att ljudet på mobilen var för högt så lämnade vi restaurangen innan beställning. Kommer aldrig tillbaka.

Extremt otrevlig kypare som skällde på gästerna, slängde menyerna i bordet. Vårt sällskap lämnade direkt likas ett annat svenskt par som också blev illa behandlade.

Vi är det andra paret som lämnade restaurangen. Instämmer att kyparen var fruktansvärt otrevlig. Hur är det möjligt att kunna arbeta med service o vara så fientlig mot sina kunder. Tur att det finns andra restauranger i Rostock som uppskattar kunder.
