We were there in the early afternoon, were warmly greeted at the entrance and immediately shown to a table. All of the service staff, there were four of them, were very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good, the plate was a bit full, maybe you could add extra side dishes. Everything was perfect and we would love to come back.

It's always a pleasure for us to be able to visit you again and again. As always, the food was first class and the service was excellent.

On my stroll through Rostock I ended up in the Block House. Why not have a proper steak? No sooner said than done. There was a daily special, which sounded good. The steak was tender and delicious. The service always strives for the well-being of the guest. All in all, a very satisfied visit.

We are from Hamburg and were in Rostock for work. We went to the log cabin out of old habit and lack of time. Great food and service are pleasantly surprised.

Excellent restaurant with equally excellent steaks; Mine was 230g and fried wonderfully medium, as I ordered; Plus the mango dip, which was fruity and spicy, and - as a bonus - a sour cream. The salad is extremely crunchy and therefore fresh, with an excellent American dressing. Very attentive, quick service and everything is ultimately exactly how you would want it in a good steakhouse.

Today I don't want to praise the restaurant because of the food, which is always delicious and of high quality, but rather the boss and the staff!! The reason for this is that we had forgotten our shopping purchases during our last stay and since we are not from Rostock itself but were there on vacation, when we asked, our forgotten purchase was simply sent home to us! Thank you very much again for that!! This is not a given and certainly not free of charge We'll be back, but for the food😄

We always enjoy visiting the Block House. The steaks taste very tasty and the staff deserve high praise!

A highly recommended address for eating out with children. In my opinion, the restaurant has an interesting menu for children. Colored pencils and sheets of paper were handed out for the short waiting time. We all enjoyed it very much. When the restaurant was busy, the waitress was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Great place. amazing ribeye for 3 years now. super wine. not bad. excellent service!!!!!!!! keep in mind that there are often queues here!!!! but you won’t forget the taste of the meat - take the Hereford ribeye for my taste

The steak was well cooked but cold. The steak was put back on top and came back hot. But it was done instead of medium. When the baked potatoes were hard on the inside, I no longer had any appetite. So far I've never experienced anything like that there. The waitress (Janett?) was also more like that. Not exactly unfriendly but not really good either. Came across as rushed and stressed. Should probably go quickly. Unfortunately, this visit was a mess.

I always enjoy being here. Good and tasty food at fair prices. The service is nice and courteous. Complaints, for example when it comes to the degree of doneness, are handled very well and followed up immediately.

The restaurant was high quality. The prices was good for the quality. The meat cuts was grilled to perfection and the atmosphere was nice and calm to enjoy your favorite meal. It's a restaurant that you will enjoy your visit. Highly recommended.

Block House once again totally met my expectations. Everything tasted great and the service was very nice and attentive, even though it was super busy. Thank you very much for the lovely meal.

We've always been happy so far, but on the last visit things didn't work out: due to a change in the menu, the waitress explained to us that instead of turkey (in my case turkey breast) there would now be chicken - which wasn't a problem for me - however She didn't mention that a breast had now become a thigh leg - unfortunately I like the consistency of the meat on a leg Not at all, so I had the food returned, which wasn't a problem at all, it was the waiter's mistake, which she also realized. Instead I decided on beef steak - I wanted it well done, but due to my pregnancy there was no other option - unfortunately I got it medium rare, so it went back and was grilled again. The food was ultimately good, but of course it took forever because my husband had his food together much sooner. In the end the bill came out wrong, which also had to be corrected, but only because my husband was paying close attention. It's a shame, you must have had a bad day!

Spontaneous visit. Unfortunately, we were told in an unfriendly tone at reception that it would take time because we had to re-cover. It wasn't a problem for us at all, but it could have been communicated in a friendly manner. Ordered Cola without ice cubes, but received with ice cubes. The steak was of great quality, the fries could have been better. I had a direct view of the cooking area. Unfortunately everything was packaged (cream champions shrink-wrapped in portion bags, gratin in plastic bowls, steak shrink-wrapped) and heated up. Naturally grilled steak. This resulted in a lot of plastic waste. I've never seen anything like this before and was accordingly surprised.

Highly recommended! We celebrated my birthday there, were warmly welcomed and even got something on the house. The waiter was very attentive and served in a good mood. The food was also great and came quickly, what more could you want? (:

We always enjoy staying at the Block House - the food is always delicious. I think Block House has the best salad. The service is always really great - attentive and friendly. Most recently I was there for lunch with my son - the prices were totally okay (€5.30 for a portion of pasta with tomato sauce and the lunch menu was also absolutely okay for adults). As a farewell we received a small present: a lunch box from Block House with 2 balloons and soap bubbles. My son was happy!

Attention RIP-OFF! The menu clearly states: “If you choose another starter instead of the salad in the steak menu, we will charge 3 euros”. I chose the beef tartare. When I got the bill, I was surprised that instead of 3 euros, 8 euros were charged. When the haphazard waitress called over a colleague, she claimed with complete confidence that this was clearly on the menu and that the 3 euros would be deducted from the original starter price. (Beef tartare 11€ - 3€ = 8€). ABSOLUTE RUDE!!! Just making this claim and making the customer look so stupid gave me stomach cramps, apart from the food! A very unpleasant experience!

Although we didn't have a reservation, we got a table very quickly. Really great service and very attentive staff. The waiting time from the meal was quite good, the starter was a good start to the extremely tasty main course. Really highly recommended! Gladly again.

While on vacation while shopping we decided to eat a good steak again. This was a direct hit in all respects. Great ambience, great and very friendly, courteous staff. The food was super tasty. The steaks were fried to perfection (medium) and deliciously seasoned. The dessert (apple strudel, Belgian waffle) was very tasty. Thanks for the great stay. Will definitely come back on our next vacation

The burger was just the meat and cheese, no bread. Kinda defeating the purpose of a burger.

Hello, I would like to share my last experience in your restaurant. In general, your restaurant is one of my favorite places because of the quality of the food and the friendly welcome from the staff. The waiters and waitresses are always friendly, smiling and warmly welcoming guests, making the experience very pleasant. However, on my last visit I noticed that one of the waitresses wasn't as friendly and attentive as usual. She seemed rushed and avoided eye contact while taking the order, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. I think it would be better if the waitress was friendlier and paid more attention to interacting with the guests as it reflects the beautiful spirit of the place. I also hope that all guests are treated equally, regardless of skin color, clothing or companion. Treating everyone equally improves the restaurant's reputation and makes guests feel welcome, regardless of their background. Thank you for your attention, and I hope my comments will be taken into account to improve the experience in the future.

Dear owner and dear Block Hous team, Thank you for paying attention to my review. Would you like to know what can be changed on our next visit? It would all be rated 5P if the chef didn't spoil the perfectly grilled meat and golden fries. Please think about those with heart disease. There was really too much salt! If this small defect is remedied, we will be happy to provide better products because the staff and the conditions were friendly, nice and accommodating. A very good team.

A great place to wat. I had the salmon and it was perfect. Friend had the filet mignon and said it was so tender and tasted awesome. Will be back soon.

The ribeye steak 350 grams was good, unfortunately the baked potatoes are getting smaller and smaller, as is the garlic bread. Extra spinach ultimately fills you up. Nevertheless, everything was better in the blockhouse. Nevertheless, we would like to come back. Unfortunately, the ice cream with raspberries doesn't work at all, it's too bland in the shell and it's not convincing, but for that and for the extremely small baked potato there's a 2 star deduction for the food.

The food and everything was very good, the service was very good until the moment the bill arrived where I told them why they had charged me for a double drink when I am going to ask for single payment they told me that this is how it was sold that there was no way to discuss it yes I like it literally was that they fired me for complaining so check your accounts and ask before asking for something

We went to dinner today and ordered a burger and other things, I imagine a burger to be a burger as we know it, we just got the meat patty and vegetables without sauce without bread for €16, just cheeky, exactly like that Like for 19€ medallions were just small and didn't fill you up

Every year for Warnemünde Week, we stay at the Block House Rostock and are always satisfied.

Very nice staff. Food is nicely prepared and also delicious. Unfortunately my rum steak wasn't medium rare, so a minute or two was still missing. Baked potato and dip was good.

Visited the Frankfurt branch often enough, this time with a colleague on business in Rostock. No difference in terms of ambience and quality. Steak was on point and super tender! The service that evening was outstanding; as foreigners we were given some really great tips for Rostock :)

We were very satisfied with the food and the service. Christopher served us very well and was very accommodating at all times. The next time we are in Rostock we would love to come back.

When we are in Rostock it is a must to go to the Block House. Nowhere else can you get such delicious and perfectly grilled steaks as you can there. First of all, the salad has also improved a lot with the new menu. There are still no champions in lettuce like there used to be, but iceberg lettuce is no longer dominant. Then I'd rather pay a little more, but I get quality. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating and always asks questions. Maybe the spare ribs will make it onto the menu again, they used to be very tasty. For us, a visit to your restaurant is always a successful end to Rostock. Maybe there will be a Block House with us in Stralsund at some point, because there are no comparable restaurants in our area and I think it would be very well received.

I had ordered a Classic Block Burger with pan-fried vegetables. After the food arrived after 3/4 of an hour, I was irritated to only find the vegetables with a burger patty on my plate. When I asked where the rest of the burger was, I was only told that this was the house version. There was no prior notice from the staff or a clear description on the menu. In addition, no solution was suggested, and I was obviously annoyed. Other restaurants such as Peter Pan also manage to explain burgers and breadless burgers in an understandable way and thus avoid misunderstandings in advance.

Simply good, the Block House Rostock is again highly recommended.

We found this restaurant today by chance. We were greeted very friendly and shown to the table. Younger children are provided with a coloring sheet! Our youngest daughter was treated very lovingly. Now to the ambience...: Tables are very close together. You don't necessarily want to overhear the conversation of the person sitting next to you. I had carpaccio as a starter.. unfortunately I was slightly disappointed.. €12.90 for the meat.. no rocket, no balsamic vinegar.. just cucumber strips and something else.. The rump steak was ok, a bit dry... and there was no steak knife... it was more comparable to a breakfast knife. Baked potato was tasty, but I was missing something there too…a spoon.. Instead of the fish fingers and fries we ordered, our youngest got a Pattiburger with fries. The fish fingers were brought to us very quickly and we were still able to keep the burger. We all didn't like the burger... very firm meat... (fried for too long) My husband had the New York Cheeseburger.. it was a patti with cheese gratin and tomatoes under the patti.. I think you could note on the menu that there are no burger buns with it.. The service was extremely friendly..
