Im Stadtwaldhaus stimmt einfach alles! Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, Qualität des Essens, die Atmosphäre drinnen und draußen und vor allem die Freundlichkeit und der Service des Personals und des Chefs!!! Ich gehe immer wieder hin. Bleibt so!!!!

Very nice meal in the beer garden. Food was good, but could definitely use some spice. That's why the usual salt/pepper is on the table. It was busy, so you had to actively speak to the service staff to order more. Overall, air aftershocks, but definitely recommended. My conclusion 👍

Super cozy. We sat in the winter garden because heavy rain was forecast. But outside... so beautiful! The food was very tasty. However, they mean a little too well with you there. The portion size is quite decent. But the price/performance ratio is right. Very attentive and friendly staff.

When the weather is nice, it's nice to sit outside. The service was fine. We probably would have ordered something to drink if someone had come by again in between. Unfortunately, the meat in my salad with turkey breast strips wasn't cooked through, which I didn't notice until late. A no go for poultry. As an apology, we got a dessert on the house, which was really delicious.

Last week we celebrated our wedding at the Stadtwaldhaus with great food and great service. We felt very comfortable during the preliminary discussions about catering and were also given great advice when choosing the food. Since we wanted purely vegan catering, we were initially skeptical as to whether our wishes could be implemented. But the result was great! Our guests (vegans and non-vegans) consistently praised the great food! The Stadtwaldhaus played a big part in ensuring that we will never forget our wedding day and will always look back on it with great joy :)

Totally overpriced! Friendly staff and I can't say much about the menu. The bruschetta was okay. However, the drinks are completely overpriced. Supposedly “homemade spritzers” are just tasteless orange juice with water and two mini pieces of ginger. €5.90 for that is cheeky. Aperol Spritz for €8.50 for just under 150 ml... sorry, not possible Price just too high

Nice big beer garden, the staff was friendly and the food tasted good too. It was also pleasing that there was a salad with the meal without having to pay extra for it.

We celebrated our mother's 85th birthday in the Stadtwaldhaus on a small scale. As always, the service was very attentive and friendly; the food was very, very tasty. The location is beautifully located in the Mettmann city forest.

The food is ok across the board, not outstanding but ok. But it is too expensive for that. Penne with vegetables €18, salad with tofu €19, matjes with potatoes €19, mustard roast €31, all of which is not quite right in terms of price. The interior is nice and you can sit outside. The service is a bit rustic but not unfriendly.

It is by far the best restaurant in Mettmann. Exclusive cuisine located in a beautiful location. The biggest deficit is the few parking spaces.

We held our civil wedding in the winter garden with 45 guests and were completely satisfied. The preliminary meeting was super uncomplicated and we were allowed to decorate the room beforehand. A very nice restaurant, in a great location, for sitting outside and inside. Retractable sun protection and usually a free parking space. The food is pretty tasty but also a bit expensive due to the location. The staff is very friendly!

The three of us ate here today and relied on the reviews on Google when choosing a restaurant. We weren't disappointed. The interior of the restaurant is very cozy. We enjoyed it excellently and the staff were extremely friendly. If we are in the area again, we will definitely visit the Stadtwaldhaus again.

A very nice and very hospitable atmosphere, the price of the food is too perfect. We paid less than €75 for two people each before and main course with drink and the food is already on a gourmet level and served very warmly and deliciously 🙂 I say the eye eats with and my eyes are fed up with cardboard 😍😍😍 highly recommended🙂

In our opinion, one of the best restaurants in Mettmann and also in a wonderful location - right next to the city forest. We have often been here as a couple or sometimes with our guests and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious and served in good, reasonable portions. In addition, the desserts here are in a class of their own and should definitely be enjoyed after your meal. The service is provided by friendly waiters who often have a funny saying on their lips. From spring to late summer you can sit outside in the large (optionally covered) beer garden or inside or in the winter garden.

....I can only praise this restaurant, a great location in the Mettmann city forest, a small menu with changing dishes at reasonable prices. Appropriate ! I feel right at home here and am treated well. A basic requirement of gastronomy. Since I always hug my guests, I should Here too, the friendliness - from time to time - can be increased a little. The guest senses when a smile quickly disappears and the restaurateur runs away... so here's some advice: "Show your guests that you enjoy entertaining them..." It doesn't cost anything, so go for it .Yes,... and about the credit cards... I know it costs you money, but it's really timely and unavoidable... you have to accept them in the future without any ifs or buts. The guest doesn't want to beg for it. I rarely have cash with me. Ich bin absolut begeistert vom Stadtwaldhaus in Mettmann! Das Ambiente ist charmant, das Personal äußerst zuvorkommend, und das Essen verdient höchstes Lob. Jeder Besuch ist ein kulinarisches Erlebnis, das seinesgleichen sucht. Eine wahre Perle in der Gastronomieszene. Ein großes Lob geht auch an den Besitzer des Restaurants, den ich persönlich kennenlernen durfte. So einen transparenten, ehrlichen und dennoch ambitionierten Chef wünscht sich jede Gastronomie. Wir konnten einen tollen Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen, tollem Service und schönem Ambiente geniessen. Bei einer Gruppe von 30 Personen wurde das Essen zeitgleich serviert, Getränke gingen uns nicht aus und das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und nett. Alles in allem hatten wir einen wunderschönen Abend und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Aussen sehr großes Gartenlokal, innen kleineres Restaurant.Aufmerksames aber unaufdringliches Personal, Genügnd große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken, gut organisierte Küche, vorzügliche Gerichte, Fleisch mit normalem Messer zu schneiden. Pilze nicht zu fein gechnitten und perfekt zu ihrer Größe zubereitet. Alles stimmt, auch die Empfehlungen. seinen Preis wert

We found the restaurant on google. It is nicely situated but it is surely packed during summer. The food and wine were great. We loved the atmosphere.

Waren mit 8 Mann esse, nur bei 2 Gerichten war alles in Ordnung. Sauce kalt, kein Parmesan obwohl laut Karte dabei, wässrige Sauce, Salathauptspeise in Dressing ertränkt, warmer Kartoffelsalat war nur Essiggurkensalat mit dicken unappettitlichen Kartoffelstücken.... essen wirkte wie lieblos auf die Teller geklatscht. Schade bei dem Preis. Plus: Ambiente und Lage Minus: Parkplatzsituation bei der Menge an Sitzplätzen katastrophal

Wir hatten am Sonntagabend eine Familienfeier mit 14 Personen. Wir haben einen schönen Abend verbracht. Unsere Wünsche wurden komplett umgesetzt. Essen und Service top. Wir kommen gerne wieder und werden den tollen Service genießen.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant,mit leckeren Speisen und gutem Nachspeisen.

Gerne geh ich auswärts essen und lasse mich dann gerne "verwöhnen", doch das geht für mich im Stadtwaldhaus nicht so richtig. Der Service ist semiaufmerksam, doch nach dem Bestellen geht alles mega schnell. Doch die Küche ist in Ordnung, mir fehlt jedoch der "Pfiff"! Gerade aus kann jeder..... Toll investiert, nur nüchtern und klar. Wer es mag, ist hier gut aufgehoben, doch mir fehlt Individualität.

Wir haben eine rundum gelungene Kommunionsfeier im Stadtwaldhaus erleben dürfen. Für die Feier haben wir ca. 6 Monate zuvor den Wintergarten gebucht. Bei einem weiteren Termin haben wir die Menüauswahl gemeinsam getroffen. Alle waren stets super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Wintergarten ist perfekt für eine Feier, wenn man noch nicht weiss wie das Wetter wird. Wir haben bei schönstem Sonnenschein mit heruntergefahrenen Fenstern gesessen und in den tollen Park geschaut, sodass es sich anfühlte als säße man draußen. Die Tische wurden mit der am Vortag von mir zur Verfügung gestellten Deko genau nach meinen Wünschen dekoriert. Am Kommunionstag selber gab es kulinarisch nix zu meckern. Alles war auf dem Punkt und auch unseren Gästen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Service war entspannt und alle sind auch super kinderlieb und haben auch immer mal einen Spass auf Lager. Es war ein wunderbarer Tag im Stadtwaldhaus Mettmann, vielen Dank!

Waren seid längerer Zeit dort mal wieder Essen. Leider waren die Schnitzel sehr dünn und mit viel Panade, das Tiramisu schmeckte nicht wie selbstgemacht, lange nich so gut wie früher. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht mehr.Füchschen Bier 3€ 😞
