Stadtstrand in Würzburg

Very unpleasant staff at the checkout. We only had a question due to a misunderstanding with our order and were immediately given a rude shout-out. It wasn't even that busy, so stress is no excuse.

With great early summer weather, it's perfect for a relaxing evening on Würzburg's city beach.

Great location, but unfortunately, the staff were very unfriendly. A polite question about my order was met with a rude and condescending response. What a shame!

It was delicious, good atmosphere, great music, just too many people, we'd love to come back! A big advantage is that there's parking next to it 🅿️ 👌🏻😅🍸🍻🍹

For us, it was a unique experience. Extremely good location, great service, and very good drinks. It was a mega party. Tobi was a very accommodating host. I can only recommend it.

Really nice atmosphere, good selection of drinks. The food isn't really my thing (Burger Heart, that is). New this year (and thus back to the Stone Age): EC card payments are only accepted for amounts over €20. And I'm not joking. Well, then you just get the fiver out of your pocket and then it's off to somewhere else.

Hi, we're at Tobi's on the city beach right now. It's amazing what's going on here, the best location ever. We came all the way from Aschaffenburg to get to know Würzburg, but we ended up staying at Tobi's. If you can, you should come by.

If the boss were here and I saw that the MA slowly started to gather his things in the kitchen after it opened, I think I would ask him if it was still possible. But the sunglasses fit and his cool demeanor cannot be overlooked. The first ones leave because there is nothing they can eat. I think there are only the opening times for the drinks and their MA. Oh now he needs another 15 minutes. Very exciting to see how the man works for the benefit of his boss. Such employees stimulate the business. It's best to come 30 minutes later if you want to eat something. And last year it was the same. Otherwise it is really very good and beautiful here. We just ate, it was really good and the environment was great. Conclusion: it's a nice location and if you're hungry just come half an hour later.

Den Stadtstrand kenne ich seit seiner Gründung, aber nach den Corona-Jahren erreichte er leider nicht mehr den guten Stil der früheren Jahre. Über die merkwürdige Taschenkontrolle am Eingang könnte man ja noch hinwegsehen... Vielleicht ist es der aktuelle Zeitgeist, dass das nicht gerade preisgünstige Essen vom Angebot her nun eher auf Fastfood-Niveau gelandet ist und nur noch Selbstbedienung in den Ausgabestationen (das sind mittlerweile überwiegend aufgehübschte Stahlcontainer) besteht. Die "Musik" war am 1.Mai nervig laut und auf Bierfest-Niveau. Sehr, sehr schade alles, es ist schon ein schmerzhafter Rückgang im Vergleich zum früheren Gesamteindruck. Ich behalte den Stadtstrand dennoch gern in der Erinnerung, jedoch an die bessere Zeit.

When it comes to food, the portions are too small for the price... the prices for the drinks are ok... Unfortunately, you have to wait far too long at the checkout and then again at the counter... You would drink more if it were quicker would

The burgers were great and so was the flavor. The DJ played great and overall we really enjoyed it. Service is always difficult to evaluate with self-service. 🫣🍀

The Würzburg city beach on the Main offers a wide range of drinks, from cold beer from the bottle, to well-mixed cocktails, wines, and even a bottle of Moët, if you need it. From sun loungers on the sand to the dining table, there is something for everyone to unwind at the end of the day or at the weekend. There are delicious burgers at the Burger Box. The salsa event is simply great and brings together fans of salsa, merengue and bachata from across the region. You can enjoy a great evening atmosphere here with a view of the Main, the Käppele and the Marienberg Fortress.

Service is good, although e.g. Sometimes queues are slightly longer. Cocktails are good. Ambiance is nice.

Ein sehr trendiger Platz mit schönem Blick auf Festung und Mainbrücke. Gutes Angebot bei typisch ambitionierten Preisen. Musik für Mittags etwas speziell und einen Touch zu laut. Aber auf jeden Fall ein guter Platz zum Pause machen oder treffen mit Freunden. Man bezahlt die Lage natürlich mit. Ist bei angesagten Läden aber halt so. Ein gezapftes Bier oder ein Glas zur Flasche wäre schön.

Actually a really cool location. It's really nice to sit on the Main with cool music from the live DJ. However, the service was more than bad. They couldn't make us a rosé spritzer, even though everything was there, because they didn't know how to bill it. should. The white wine spritzer/bottle was then mixed strangely. When I politely asked what she was doing, I was told. "We always do it like that." She was totally watery, not worth €4.50. Especially since it was also served in glass cups. But otherwise recommended, especially for tourists who want to take a breather on sunny days.

No food but it would have been good. The service was superb and it was nice to sit in an old beer tavern in Franken

Wonderful climate.. delicious food But toilets need more cleaning

You sit beautifully, the food and drinks are good and the price is still reasonable. However, we were appalled by the way the “bar manager” treated his employees. This is not how you should treat your employees, especially not in front of guests. Actually you should deduct 2 stars for this. The gentleman should urgently reconsider his unprofessional and unfriendly behavior, both for the sake of his colleagues and the guests. The other staff were very nice and friendly. Otherwise the service would have been a flat 0. Were today, August 12th. Back again and the staff was super friendly again!

Staff overwhelmed Dirty glasses Aperol tastes like water

Basically ok, nice idea to make money. The location and view are really great but the chairs are way too close together. You feel like you're in a sardine can and the deck chairs cannot be adjusted in height and are fixed with cable ties. Service is below average, you order a bottle of wine at just under 28 degrees and are not informed that the wine cooler is not included and costs an extra deposit... so you have to wait at the back of the line again while the wine waits for you in the sun at the counter . Conclusion: It was nice once, but you don't have to go there again. To be fair, the prices are fine for the location and looks. Simply use fewer deck chairs per row and provide service staff with a little better instruction.

Great ambience, right on the Main with a view of the vineyards. Price/performance ratio absolutely fine. Great location for a nightcap.

Prices are relatively OK Food quite good, a bit too expensive for the portions. Service was nice, sometimes a bit uncoordinated, but as a rule you take some time with you when you come to the city beach.

Great view. We were hoping for delicious cocktails, unfortunately they weren't available.

I give it 5 stars for the ambience. Very nice location on the Main with a view of the fortress and Käppele. However, there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to service. Even though there wasn't much going on, there was a long queue for the drink vouchers. The organization (if one can even speak of it) of the long drinks was opaque. I got 2 drinks, then a few were served behind me, after several complaints and at least 15 minutes of waiting, I got the remaining 2 drinks I ordered. It's a shame, but we prefer a different location for our next meetings.

Great atmosphere, we felt very comfortable!

Perfect place to relax a bit with friends in the evening after work. Reservations are not necessary, just come along, you will always find a suitable spot. The employees are extremely friendly and the drinks are great. The falafel balls are highly recommended for when you're a little hungry! Toilets have always been clean.

Drinks, food and ambience are really great. When the weather is nice, it's a fantastic view of the Main and the fortress. Also good music selection.

Prices expensive, but not like in FFM, much more liberal here than in FFm... Great here Frankfurters come here, your fan mile is closed today...

Only one entrance, only toilets at one end, that's a real shame

We were there after a doctor's visit on a Thursday afternoon, right after it opened. The Aperol and Hugo were very tasty for the location in the middle of Würzburg, right on the Main. Great place, cool techno. It's a shame we live so far away.

Here you get the holiday flair and can slow down.

I like it here! Come with your child at least once a week. Very nice place, he plays, we enjoy. The food is good, the staff is always friendly, although sometimes there is a bit of chaos and long waiting times. One point to deduct is the often loud music...

It used to be really good here and then someone started to change everything for the worse and I haven't come back since then.

The location is uniquely beautiful! Drink prices are very high. To eat you only eat burgers and fries or salads, which doesn't really go well with coffee in the afternoon. Self-service with queuing, but went quickly. There was no soap in the toilet and the hand dryer was broken.

Enjoy a relaxed drink in the sunshine with a mill drink.

Great location for delicious drinks

I'm often in Würzburg, didn't have much time today, but wanted to take a look at the city beach in the nice weather. Very beautiful city beach on the Main with a wonderful view of, among other things, the Würzburg Fortress. The combination of beach loungers and normal chairs in the catering area is nice. Very nice employees. I ate a salad that was really tasty and the price was quite okay, given this lovely atmosphere. The music wasn't loud or pleasant. So conclusion ***** Highly recommended, just as Würzburg is also recommended for a visit.

We always wanted to visit the stand, it finally worked out. In the evening: only bottled beer and wine, no more cocktails. Ok, bought beer and wine, laid on the beach. No music, great. I could have saved myself completely, what a shame.

Schönes Ambiente. Unerwartet kam, dass an einem Freitag um 20 Uhr bereits der Grill ausgemacht wurde. Der tatsächlich freundlich vorgetragene Hinweis der jungen Dame hinterm Tresen, dass gerade wenig los sei und deshalb gleich geschlossen würde, konnten auch die 5 hinter uns und die 15 gerade eintretenden Gäste nicht abhelfen. Sehr schade, 3h vor Schluss schon kein Essen mehr zu kriegen. Hat den Betreiber einiges an Einnahmen durch Cocktails gekostet.

Nachdem wir Stammgäste beim heißen Franken in Eibelstadt sind(siehe Rezensionen), wollten wir heute zum ersten Mal den Stadtstrand in Würzburg besuchen. Wir waren sofort begeistert von dem Urlaubsflair direkt am Main. Was hier Herr Würtheim aufgebaut hat ist schon sehr großes Lob wert. Der Service und die Lokalität erinnert uns an den Stadtstrand in Hamburg an der Elbe. Den Tupfer für den Stadtstrand in Würzburg mit dem wahnsinnigen Blick auf die Festung Marienberg und das einzigartige Käppele kann Hamburg leider nicht bieten. Hier ist ein Platz für viele Möglichkeiten zum Entspannen und Feiern. Wir werden jetzt öfters kommen.

Das erste Mal in Würzburg gewesen und nach einer kleinen Wanderung dort hin. Gibt reichlich Auswahl an Essen, das echt gut schmeckt sowie viele Getränke. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und die Location ist echt nett.

Wir sind immer wieder gerne hier. Die Füße im Sand mit einem leckeren Getränk in der Hand…Urlaubsfeeling pur. Auch die Shisha ist qualitativ sehr gut und passt super zum Sommer-Strand-Gefühl. Immer gerne 😉

Sehr nette Personal, super schön gemacht, tolle Musik und leckeres Essen.

Ich war das erste Mal jetzt da und bin beeindruckt. Richtig schön aufbaut. Man kann sich entscheiden, ob man in Liegestühlen um Sand sitzt, auf normalen Stühlen am Wasser oder auf Paletten. Alles so gut es geht von Schirmen verschattet. Essen und Trinken holt man sich selbst. Toiletten sind ebenfalls vorhanden.

Schön daß es den Strand wieder gibt. Dieses Jahr mit etwas anderem Konzept aber wieder schön viel Sand unter den Füßen ist toll.

Lage ist ja ganz schön aber Essen ist überteuert. Mozzarella Stickstoff XXL bestehen aus 6 Stück a 7-8 cm dafür 8,90 . Geht echt nicht!!!

Herrliches Wetter, Lust auf Strandfeeling? Dann nicht zum Stadtstrand. Schon am Eingang wirst du durch eine intensive Taschenkontrolle herzlich begrüßt. Selbst der Schokoriegel in der Handtasche wird schon kritisiert. Wenn du dann doch einen Platz hast darfst du dich auf unfreundliche Bedienungen mit spitzen Bemerkungen freuen. Wenn du bestellt hast darfst du dich auf eine längere Wartezeit einstellen. Essen geht woanders besser. Weder Qualität noch Preis überzeugen. Also lieber einen Picknickkorb gepackt und 100 m weiter einen Platz auf der Wiese am Main gesucht. Das nervt nicht.
