Portion was ok, service was nice but unfortunately very inattentive.

I had the pleasure of spending my lunch break at 'Genuss am Fluss' on the city walls in Hanover and it was truly a lovely experience. The location right on the water is simply ideal to escape from everyday life for a moment and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the 'Wilder Bock' burger and it completely impressed me. The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection, the combination of flavors was excellent, and the side dishes were fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive - exactly as you would expect. Overall, a completely successful experience. A great place to unwind and enjoy good food during your lunch break. I'll definitely be back!

Good location. Too big for my personal taste. Service was friendly and tried hard but not outstanding. The food was good but, like the drinks, it wasn't a reasonable price/performance ratio. All in all, it's ok, but nothing more.

So the price-performance ratio is simply not right. Overpriced for standard products. You only pay for the ambience here. So I can really only advise against it. Everything looks great on the outside, but if you look closely you quickly notice that this is not a quality restaurant. More bistro quality.

We had reserved and our seats were not available on time. Then we were moved twice again, which I found very chaotic, even though there wasn't much going on. Food is tasty but doesn't have the quality that the price suggests.

A good place to eat with your loved ones in a great atmosphere. the dishes and ingredients are rather modern and the staff, although young, is attentive and very nice. We've been here three times and so far the food has been really tasty. The only negative point is the many pigeons.

We were thrilled, very tasty bowls and drinks, attentive service and it was wonderful to sit on the terrace. A small suggestion for improvement concerns the sanitary area. As a woman, I would be happy to have a place to put my handbag when I freshen up. Otherwise everything was great, we would love to come back!

Great selection and very high quality ingredients make for great dishes.

We were there on July 19th. We ate with you and were, as before, absolutely satisfied. The service is quick, friendly and accommodating even with special requests. The food was very good and the quantity was sufficient. A small point of criticism is the very small dessert menu. We would be happy to come back and of course recommend your house.

The visit to the restaurant was worth it. Great service, very tasty food and the toilets were also super clean and different than others 😊.

The buffet is excellent and has lots of delicacies. We felt completely comfortable. The highlight were the fresh waffles, which you could garnish yourself, but even without toppings they were great.

Pizza extremely delicious. The outdoor area is great and relaxing thanks to the great location and enough distance between the individual tables.

Perfect location. Service excellent. Fast & friendly. That's why the 3 stars. The food - Barbequeen burgers and truffle fries - unfortunately MSN has to say, subterranean. The pattie really didn't taste like anything. The burger itself was totally dry. And anyone who has ever eaten truffle fries + truffle pomayo at the “Casador” in Hamelin knows what something like that should taste like. Unfortunately, that was miles away here. In summary - location great, food unfortunately zero stars 🤷‍♂️.

The staff was pretty unfriendly. Especially outside where we sit. I had the impression that because we only ordered drinks, but since the tables weren't all occupied, they should be happy about the sales.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed today. My bowl was probably not completely fresh. The salmon smelled strong, the avocado was really overripe and the beetroot - well. On top of everything there were very unclean dishes. From the service... We had 30 degrees, maybe that was the reason... Happy is different.

Great location and delicious food. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is not on the same level as the higher price. You really have to advise against guests who expect reasonable service - guests are not seen, the staff is often busy with themselves. There doesn't seem to be a reasonable service management that allocates and drives things on site - unfortunately that's really bad given the location and what you expect here.

Was there yesterday. One of us was served the wrong food. When this was brought up, the waitress actually started to argue that the other dish had been mentioned. If this were the case, we wouldn't have had any complaints?! We were there for quite a long time and we ALWAYS had to ask the service staff that we would like something to drink. And no, we didn't order something every 10 or 20 minutes so it would be unnecessary to ask. We ordered something every 40-60 minutes. Very, very bad service, which is also absolutely unfriendly! Also, in my opinion, the food is way too expensive! 20€ for a super simple bowl that consists half of quinoa is clearly too expensive. We won't be going there as a large group in the future!

The food was good, if you allowed yourself to finish it. Before my friend had even finished eating, a blonde lady cleared away at our table. A short time later she came and wanted our plates too, even though my friend was still eating??? I've never experienced anything like that before. Less than 2 minutes later the waiter came with curls and asked if we would pay now (we hadn't asked?). Since we wanted to pay by card - which starts at 20EUR - we were condescendingly waved up to the front. Good service is different. We would have liked to sit there for a while and eat dessert, but if we can't even finish the pasta... We won't be back.

It was a disaster! The staff is just glued to their cell phones and doesn't do their work at all. During today's visit alone we received two annoyed looks (one because I wanted to order something to drink and the second because a spoon for the pasta was missing). Two out of three meals were cold, otherwise it was delicious. At some point the staff felt like they were ignoring us and simply left the used dishes after the meal, even though the waiters/waitresses apparently had enough time to be on their private cell phones and chatting among themselves. When I ordered tap water (in addition to a real drink of course), I received about 50ml of water (see pictures). The glass itself was very small, but I found it very outrageous that even this mini glass was only half full. When we got our food we had no cutlery. When we asked about it, we were told that we would get it straight away, but we didn't get it. The second time we asked, we received a glass with cutlery. The problem, however, was that there were only 4 knives and a napkin in the glass for a table of three. All in all, I would strongly advise against visiting the restaurant. However, this only applies to the city wall on the Leine. However, I got a really positive impression of the restaurant in the List back then (about 3 years ago).

I had a reservation for 8:30 p.m. When I arrived with my companion and asked about the reservation, I was hoping for more than “Yes, then find something, it's free, there's free,…” I have no idea, but that's not even the bad thing. We wanted to order food around 8:45 p.m. and the waiter came and said, “No, the kitchen is already closed.” So let’s be honest, it was a special occasion and I didn’t get the information beforehand or when I arrived. It didn't say anywhere, just "Open until 12:00 am". And as a customer, I don't expect the ventilation to be cleaned on Whit Monday, because that was what the waiter said. All in all, I have to say, I have never reserved a table in such an uninviting and disorganized restaurant. The employees don't have much knowledge about the food and drinks either. When I asked what kind of fruit was in this water, the answer wasn't even remotely satisfactory. I absolutely cannot recommend it.

If the location wasn't so well located, no one would go to this store anymore. This store offers what I consider to be by far the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. On Saturday June 1st I was there with my companion. We took a seat outside. The drinks and food came quickly. So far so good. That's it! We were no longer taken care of after that. Nobody ever came by and if you wanted to order for help, a colleague was supposed to be sent to take the order, but he didn't show up! You could have just left and no one would have noticed. I wonder how many people have done this before they die of thirst because of the disrespect. Sweet potato fries were good, but the carrot cake was dry. Food mixed, location nice, service poor. A pity!

Monday evening, dead pants on the outside and totally full on the inside... Order was taken quickly and after 3 minutes our schnitzel was on the table 🤔 we ordered Champion schnitzel (from pork) and we got chicken, cold too! It was replaced and we got a new one. When we wanted to pay, the waiter wanted €19.70 per schnitzel - but according to the menu it was €17.40 - "Oh, then you got an old menu" - well that's the restaurant's problem and not my problem , small note online the schnitzel is €10.90 😉 - after a little discussion we paid the price of the card and that's it. In addition, the champion sauce had 0.0 champion taste but pure thyme 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Clear tip... Better go somewhere else and avoid the store

Benevolent 4 stars. In terms of service, everything was represented between good and poor. We found the atmosphere, especially outside, to be very pleasant and, especially in summer, wonderful in the evening. The food was okay. No absolute highlights, but okay. However, really immense prices speak against this. You can't get away cheap here.

I went to the City Wall Restaurant with my family and overall we had a pleasant time. We ordered food and drinks: I chose a cappuccino, my wife chose a cocktail, our son ordered orange juice and our daughter ordered a cola. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very cozy and inviting. The pizza was outstanding, with a crispy base and perfectly balanced toppings. The waffle with Nutella was also a delight, freshly baked and generously spread with Nutella. Unfortunately the service was not that satisfactory. The waiter brought me my drink and said "your espresso" even though I had clearly ordered a cappuccino. It was a bit disappointing that such a simple detail was overlooked. Overall, our visit was still pleasant as the food was really delicious. With a little more attentive service, the city wall restaurant could be a real highlight. Maybe we'll give the place another chance.

The food was very tasty and the drinks and food were consumed quite quickly. Unfortunately only 3 stars because the waiter wasn't really friendly. Not rude or anything, but he still seemed like he failed in his job. Unfortunately we had to ask for the bill 3 times before we could pay. And it took so long for anyone to notice us that we simply went inside and asked if we could pay. I think if you leave your money there you should expect the waiters to be attentive. Especially when there is nothing going on and they are often just standing in the area and can be seen talking to each other for minutes.

First the positive things. Location, ambience and the service staff are really top. Super friendly and accommodating. The prices are steep and probably based on the location. But the food is not worth the price. I had a margarita pizza. But it wasn't worth the 14 euros. Way too much mozzarella, (and I love cheese) too little tomato sauce that didn't taste like anything. My girlfriend had a bowl with salmon avocado and edemane. The salmon died twice and was super dry. Avocado was very little and felt like 5 beans. So the food is poor value for money.

In my opinion, it is absurd these days to only allow card payments with a turnover of €20 or more. Above all, it is important to me that a service staff appears friendly towards the customer. Unfortunately, I can't say that even after the second visit. Nice location, nice furnishings, barrier-free access to the toilet in the basement via elevator.

Food was okay, service was ok. In the end we wanted to pay and we were just told: "You know about the card thing, right?" We were surprised at first and said no. The sticking point was: we could only pay in cash - but we didn't have any cash with us. No one was informed beforehand anywhere. We then had to wait half an hour until people we knew could bring us money. At the end, the waiter boldly said: "Yes, unfortunately I don't have enough change for you, I hope that's okay." So we won't go there anymore.

The store itself is really nice. Ambience great. BUT: 1. I think the drinks prices are really exorbitant. 2. Card payment only from 20 euros. Absolutely incomprehensible in this day and age. 3. The waiters take a really long time to serve you. Nope, don't come back.

It's always a surprise what you get served! I always eat the "puple Prince" and it's usually served without walnuts. If I ask, I'm always given some, but I wonder if that's intentional. My husband had a bowl of salmon, the menu said premium quality, that's probably a joke, the salmon was done because it's most likely not premium/sashimi quality, otherwise you would never cook it. Potion size has shrunk, recently there was half an avocado in the bowl, now a few small pieces and in the purple Prince the goat cheese has also shrunk by half. When we communicated our displeasure to the service, there was trained sympathy, but no accommodation! In the end I paid 28.90 for my portion of noodles with extra beef + 1 beer... I'll think about that 3 times in the future.

Location and ambience is excellent. That's why a lot of people go here. You have to be careful when eating. I had a bulgur salmon bowl. The description mentions premium salmon. For me that is sashimi quality. This is also how it was served in the other city wall restaurants. Here the salmon was fried to death and smelled of fish. In addition, the other ingredients were available in very small quantities. These circumstances should be clarified beforehand. The waitress dutifully apologized, but it is doubtful whether there will be any improvement.

The location is great and the dishes read very well at first glance, with a bit of a vegan selection. But the prices are really extremely high. I ordered a coffee with ice cubes and oat milk and then got one with sweetened soy milk for almost €8. He went back and was also replaced. For a few drinks in the evening or a meal, the Stadtmauer is definitely a good place to go. I think the price-performance ratio is okay. In summer you can sit outside here and look at the line.

Nice atmosphere, fast and friendly service. I left the restaurant hungry after eating lunch from the daily menu. The food was ok, but not so good that I would pay the price again. What doesn't work for me at all is that you can only pay cashless there if the invoice amount is over 20 EUR. We were there with a larger group and this customer-unfriendly behavior caused an unpleasant situation for some guests. If you're serious about doing something like this as a restaurant in the 21st century, you should warn every guest when they place their order.

I would have liked to have tofu in the bowl instead of salmon, but unfortunately that was only possible with an additional charge of €5. In my opinion it makes little sense and is extremely inflexible. The food (pasta) was quite good. In the end we had to look for the waitress to pay, who was sitting at a table and seemed very unmotivated.

We had reserved a table for 2 people online for April 7th, 2024. The food was good, we had the burger and the schnitzel.Staff friendly and attentive. I would give 0 stars. Today we were there and ordered 2 Caesar salads, after 1 hour we both had to throw up and now we also have stomach pains. Never again. We had been here several times before but after this incident we wouldn't go again. Very disappointed.

Is it really just an inability to keep up with the modern world, or is there a completely different suspicion lurking here? So, throw away your credit cards and immerse yourself in a world of your own with mid-table dishes that come with a hefty price tag. But be careful: this is no ordinary restaurant. Here you can not only eat, but also experience a journey through space and time - or at least through the depths of your wallet. It's a shame, the place is unbeatable but card payments mysteriously stop when there's a lot going on.

The food was very tasty and the service was pleasant. However, we were there in a large group and due to the very loud music, it was not possible to have a conversation with everyone. I would recommend a group of max 4-6 people.

A very inviting concept with a pleasant atmosphere. But sitting outside in the sun on a leash or on the city wall also has its appeal. The service seems exemplary to me. I have rarely experienced such attentive and friendly service staff. This increases the anticipation of further visits. (Then with a pepper mill on the table for individual seasoning as well as a not-so-tasteless homemade lemonade). Up soon!

Very nicely located restaurant on the water with a historical-modern flair. Tastefully decorated with a very interesting sink design. Service is friendly and attentive. The map makes it difficult to decide. The food came promptly and was very tasty and reasonably priced. I just found the prices for the homemade lemonade a bit high but it was very tasty and refreshing. In summer it is definitely a highlight to sit outside, especially with the huge selection of cocktails

The food was very good but the service was very poor. The waiter who took our order was annoyed that it took a little longer. So we didn't tip and the change was literally thrown on the table in front of us. We were sitting right on a corner by the railing, it was pulling there, it wasn't nice. It was also very loud in the restaurant. The waiters were running back and forth very hectically, which was very annoying. Not only was the hustle and bustle of the waiters annoying, but there was also not enough space between the tables. A lady at the table felt this when a waitress poured drinks on her. We won't be going there again.

We've been there for the third time now, and every time it tastes very good. However, there was a waiter there who barely spoke and simply collected tips. He takes "tips" for granted, unfortunately I only noticed after paying that he had rounded up the amount. Still highly recommended as the rest of the staff is very reliable and friendly. :)

When you enter the shop you notice that gastronomy is dominated here. Less than 5 minutes pass between the greeting, the seat assignment and the first order. The staff is very attentive and the quality of the food and drinks leaves nothing to be desired. Hanover's finest!

Overall it was a nice evening, but the reception wasn't really polite, we could hardly look at the menu because the service was at the table several times, even though we obviously hadn't decided yet. While we were waiting for our food, one of the service staff asked if she could leave 4 menus from the neighboring table with us? What? We answered her, “unfortunately because we don’t have much space on the table.” The food came incomplete and wrong, the music was really too loud so we couldn't have a conversation. We asked twice to turn it down a bit and were refused. The food was totally mediocre and not at all commensurate with the prices. A service person at our table was really nice, attentive and personable, otherwise the concept of Stadtmauer, 6 Sinne and co is absolutely contemptuous of guests and unprofessional.

The food was a complete disaster, unseasoned, soggy and cold. The staff is absolutely incompetent and unfriendly. The table was dirty and we didn't even get any cutlery.

Just there for a nightcap, around 9:30 p.m. There were 7 of us and we wanted to sit outside under the patio heater because of the noise level inside. We've had some bad luck in the past, but last night was great. A really great team who acted immediately, put the tables together and dried them, turned on the heater, provided blankets, were very friendly and attentive throughout the service...that was really fun. Thank you again for that.

Pizza tasted like a frozen pizza, the burger tasted like old grease and unfortunately that's what it smelled like at the reception.

We were there for the first time on January 28th, 2024. And because it tasted so delicious, we went there again on February 3rd, 2024. First I had a bowl and it was just wow. The second time I had a pizza and it was wow too. If we're in Hanover again at an exhibition, we'll go there again. They still have so much I need to try. The staff is very attentive and really nice.

Very nice place to have a bowl there I've tried it ever since and I've been a lover of it. The waffle combination is incredibly tasty. Star deduction because there was no card payment that day and we sat right in the aisle. Which wasn't bad in itself, but everyone left the door open. At these temperatures you feel very cold The waiters tried very hard to close them again and again. But somehow it caused unrest because I got up three times because I was so cold

I would like to emphasize positively that the restaurant is really nicely decorated. The food was also delicious and was delivered within 15 minutes even though the store was completely full. This brings us to the first negative point: The tables were all very close together, so that you couldn't really stand up and sometimes you only got through by moving the tables/chairs back and forth. Furthermore, card payment was not possible, although there was a sign at the entrance that said “card payments possible from 20 euros”. Otherwise, definitely reserve in advance, easily possible online. Toilets were clean.

Favorite place in Hanover. The dishes are always very tasty and the service is wonderful.

Tische stehen für mein Empfinden viel zu nah zusammen, wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert und auch bekommen, das Problem war nur das wir dann eine halbe Stunde nichts bestellen konnten, irgendwie war niemand für den Tisch verantwortlich. Nach weiteren 15 Minuten sind wir woanders hin gegangen. Darum kann ich zum Essen leider nichts sagen.

Super Ambiente. Gemütlich. Hatten reserviert. Aber der Risch war zu klein. Der Burger war in der Mitte kalt und sehr trocken. Burger geht iN HANNOVER anderen Stellen besser.

We had a reservation for 12 people and were then placed on separate tables. They only let us know when we arrived at the place - no chance to change anymore. Impolite service personnel when talking about this issue and again when paying in the end. Food is not more than average. I suggest you go for one of the many better places in Hanover

Haben zur Weihnachsfeier hier gegessen. Es war sehr schön. Essen und Service ganz toll. Einzig ein Stern Abzug wegen der Lautstärke der Musik 🎶... man hat nur seinen direkten Nachbarn verstanden, also haben alle extra laut gesprochen... auch an den anderen Tischen... Ergebnis das fast alle etwas heiser waren. Trotzdem ein toller Abend und werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit freundlichem, umsichtigem Service, danke für das tolle Essen...eine außergewöhnliche Pasta Kombination, sehr lecker und ein toller Wein dazu.

Ambiente gemütlich. Das Essen war ok. Leider haben 7von8 Leuten das Essen gleichzeitig bekommen. Beim 8. ist erst beim servieren von den anderen Essen der 7 Personen aufgefallen,dass dieses Essen nicht mehr zur Verfügung steht. Total blöd wenn alle essen und einer Warzen muss. Das Familientreffen zum Advent Essen werden wir dort nicht mehr buchen.u

Zunächst einmal möchte ich sagen, dass ich seit Eröffnung schon unzählige Male in den verschiedenen Stadtmauer Restaurants in Hannover war und immer gerne dort gegessen habe. Das Essen und die Getränke sind wirklich toll und lecker und mal was anderes. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön. Allerdings sind die Preissteigerungen inzwischen wirklich nicht mehr angemessen und nachvollziehbar. Dass die Preise überall um einige Euros gestiegen sind, ist ja inzwischen normal und verständlich. In der Stadtmauer aber kostet ein Nudelgericht, das ich immer gerne bestellt habe, inzwischen ca. 6€ mehr. Insbesondere die Preise für Burger (13-15€ ohne Beilagen) sind auch unverhältnismäßig hoch, zusätzlich kommen noch die Beilagen mit hohen Aufschlägen (Pommes 5,50€, Dip 1,30€ selbst für Mayo und Ketchup) dazu. Die Portionsgrößen rechtfertigen das nicht! Außerdem finde ich es wirklich unverschämt für laktosefreie bzw Hafermilch 1,50€ Aufschlag zu nehmen! Wofür? In vielen Cafés und Restaurants ist dies umsonst möglich oder kostet vielleicht 0,50€. Der Service ist auch ausbaufähig. Lange Wartezeiten, ohne Reservierung geht in der Regel nichts. Ich würde mir wirklich wünschen wieder öfter Gast in der Stadtmauer zu sein, aber insbesondere bei den Preisen wird das nicht geschehen. Sehr schade. Die Gäste, die zu Beginn die Stadtmauer gefüllt haben, können sich das so nicht mehr leisten. Aufgrund des Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnisses die Bewertung trotz leckerem Essen und schönem Ambiente.

Top Service! Meistens werden wir mittags von einer blonden Dame bedient, welche sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend ist. Selbst in stressigen Situationen verliert hier niemand den Überblick. heute wieder wirklich eine Meisterleistung, bei einem komplett überfüllten Laden! Die Mittagsangebote sind größtenteils wirklich sehr lecker und ansprechend! Nicht umsonst verbringen wir hier gerne unsere Mittagspausen. Wir kommen wieder :) Getränke etwas teurer geworden aber das ist es absolut wert!

Kein gemütlicher Abend! Wir waren heute mit 5 Personen abends in der Stadtmauer am Leineufer essen. Wir hatten den Tisch vorab telefonisch reserviert. Leider bekamen wir einen Tisch direkt zwischen Küche und Eingangstür zugewiesen. Wir fragten schon nach einigen Minuten nach einem anderen Tisch, was laut Bedienung nicht möglich war. Die Bedienung war freundlich und das Essen schmeckte gut, wir hatten keine lange Wartezeit. Allerdings zog es wiederholt von der offen stehenden Eingangstür. Wir baten darum die Tür zu schließen. Dann zog es aus der Küche, dort stand die Hintertür weit offen. Wir teilten der Bedienung mit, dass wir mitten in der Zugluft sitzen. Sie sagte, das könne sie nicht ändern.Daraufhin bezahlten wir. Wir saßen mittlerweile mit unseren Jacken angezogen am Tisch und tranken noch unsere Getränke aus. Es waren nun Küchen- und Eingangstür offen. Wir beschwerten uns nun auch bei der Restaurant-Chefin. Sie teilte uns mit, dass sie selbst auch in der Zugluft stände, und wir einfach zu kurzfristig reserviert hätten. Es gab kein Entgegenkommen oder Serviceorientierung! Wir fühlten uns nicht wertschätzend behandelt und hätten uns gewünscht, dass bei der telefonischen Reservierung bereits auf die Lage des Tisches hingewiesen worden wäre.
