Spreegold Mitte in Berlin

Everything tastes good and the seasonal menu is very good. However, I'm deducting one star because the price is too high for the food. The burger is definitely not worth more than €10 (without a side dish).

It was tasty, but unfortunately the chicken wasn't of good quality. There was too much tendon in it for my liking. This, of course, detracted from the enjoyment of the meal.

Overpriced, long wait, and the food wasn’t impressive. I got the omelet, and it was insanely greasy and not worth 16€.

Used to be good, but unfortunately no longer recommended. The dishes are average at best; I'd even tend to give them a 3- or 4- in school grades. The carbonara is completely useless, and the baby Dutch pumpkins get a 3. There were no towels in the bathroom for drying yourself. The ambiance is still quite nice, but the quality and taste have declined considerably.

Im glad there are gluten-free options. Also we had really nice coffee and meal. With fresh veggies

Absolutely amazing food, super hosts and extremely accomodating. We were walking past and asked if they were open. An hour before their normal opening time they welcomed us and made one of the best brekkies i have had.

It looks very nice, and the ambiance is good too. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress me and was a bit expensive. For breakfast, I find Spindler and Café au Laut better, with a more attractive price-performance ratio.

Went for brunch with two colleagues and reserved a table online in advance. Everything went smoothly. We were there on a Tuesday at lunchtime, and it was moderately busy. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The food was beautifully presented, fresh, and incredibly delicious! It was so delicious that we didn't even take any photos 😅 The atmosphere was OK, although the music was a bit too loud for me—but everyone experiences it differently. We'll be back 😉

This is a place that focus on looks and not flavor. When ordering, always ask what is in your plate as some items were not listed in the menu as part of the dishes. We ordered the Eggs your way and the menu says Eggs, Bacon, Butter and and Bread. Our plates came soaked in pesto and with a large side of onions. Pretty disappointing.

Never had green shakshuka before...an absolute explosion of flavor. The fried eggs Benedict was also incredibly delicious. We were thrilled with our breakfast and the entire atmosphere.

While the free beer offer with the bus tickets got us in the door. The posh deal left a sour taste. Not only was the order messed up. Got the wrong dishes that were promptly taken away. We then paid 27.50 per person (2) for a plate made for one person realistically. The dish itself was made the best way it could by the chef despite the worst cut making it entirely too chewy. The place has a lot of potential with a good menu. But having one waiter for the entire place along with poor quality control is sad.if money is no issue good place but definitely not worth the price for experience.

I had the salmon bowl today and was very disappointed. They didn't offer the wild broccoli, which they had told me beforehand. But there wasn't really an alternative either. The portion was really small, I didn't really feel full. It was simply too expensive! And the taste was really bland. The curry was spicy. Otherwise, the flavor was bland. I didn't taste the curry at all; it was really bland. I've had much better food here. I was really disappointed because I remembered it being better, much, much better.

The food was so incredibly bad. The fries were old!! And the ribs weren't tasty at all; in fact, they were of very poor quality, and the sauce wasn't tasty. We were extremely disappointed and even spent a lot of money on the small portions. Once, and never again.

I was surprised in such a touristic place to have such a good restaurant and good service. The food was very tasty and big portion and not just looking fancy. The indoor area is very cozy and plenty of space. The reason why I put 4 star was because the bathroom was not very clean. Otherwise everything else was perfect.

Urban Breakfast with Berlin Flair I've been to Spreegold Mitte a few times now, and I can say: I'll definitely be back! The breakfast menu is a real dream – fresh, varied, and modern. Whether it's paleo, avocado toast, or halloumi extras – anyone looking for something a little more than just a roll in the morning will find what they're looking for here. This time (if I remember correctly 😄) I had a spicy sesame avocado bread with scrambled eggs – and halloumi, which I ordered separately. The combination of creamy scrambled eggs, fresh avocado, sesame seeds, crisp salad, and the halloumi was simply amazing. It's also a visual highlight – as you can see from the pictures. Particularly noteworthy: The breakfast selection is huge. Scrambled eggs, shakshuka, porridge, pancakes, sandwiches… you sit there and just think, "Damn, I want to try everything!" Theoretically, you'd have to come here every day – if Berlin didn't have so many other great places. But Spreegold definitely belongs at the top of the list. The homemade juices are also highly recommended – refreshing, fruity, and lovingly served. And all this in an ambiance that alternates between urban and relaxed. Sitting outside, however, is more for those who love the heat – the sun beats down there. Inside, it's stylish and modern, with long benches and an open, communicative atmosphere. Unfortunately (as far as I know), there's no air conditioning – so it's quite warm in summer. The location right next to the S-Bahn line, next to the Motel One, gives the place a slightly urban vibe – Berlin through and through. I love sitting there, people-watching, listening to the trains roar by, and enjoying good food. One small downside: When it's very busy (which is often the case), service can take a while – but once you get through, everything is quick and friendly. My conclusion: Spreegold Mitte has become a culinary staple for me in Berlin. Excellent quality, a relaxed vibe, good juices, and great food. And anyone who loves halloumi will be happy here. 😊

The two of us were looking for a small dinner in the area and found more than we were looking for at Spreegold. The menu had some great, unusual dishes. I had the cauliflower schnitzel, which was a real hit. The waiter, Björn H., was very personable…

A fantastic restaurant. We came here for breakfast with the family. We received a very warm welcome. The service staff were in a great mood. We felt very comfortable. Thank you so much, it was a worthwhile experience.

The visit was 100% worth it. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. A quick peek into the kitchen was enough to see how neatly and expertly the two in the kitchen prepared the food. The prices are sometimes on the high side, but a visit is definitely worth it.

Great environment in the middle of Berlin. Nice service and awesome food and coffee. If you want a healthy and tasty breakfast, you have to go here.

We celebrated our anniversary today—as we do all important occasions—at Spreegold. Perfect for a romantic late brunch or dinner. The service was courteous and prompt, as always, and the food was fantastic. The team is noticeably enthusiastic and turns "just" a meal into an experience. The ambiance, prices, quality—everything is just perfect. Our absolute favorite for breakfast in Berlin!! :)))

My ricotta sandwich had about two kilos of ricotta and half a jar of honey. My avocado sandwich had three avocados and a ton of oil and mayonnaise. It was really not good.

Solid lunch with comfortable seating and a lot of outdoor space. We came with a larger group (7 people) and service was still relatively quick and efficient.

If I could give 0, I would do so. Worst experience I ever had in Berlin. We went to Spreegold to get this very special vegan steak. But when we ordered the food - which was clearly advised to be vegan in the menu and we checked at the end of ordering with the waitress all dishes once more - we got seriously non/vegan food (they put regular cheese on everything). We also got some wrong items (fries with cheese but we ordered just regular fries). They also forgot one dish so one of us had to wait for his food even longer. When we were finished, literally nobody ever came back to clean up the table or to ask for something else. When we asked for the bill, they charged us for everything (even though they said we’ll get some fries for free). So all in all - worst service, worst food, unfriendly staff. And that with prices up to 28€ per dish! I think the steak itself has great potential when it’s served differently, and the vegan burgers too. Just not at this place, so hopefully some other places will offer it some day as well. Spreegold I wouldn’t visit ever again.

Very nice place to sit and relax in the morning. I got Shakshuka, It was really delicious and very different from the ones I tried before. If you’re looking for a different shakshuka then this is the best place.

The food was perfect and the portions were generous. The waitresses could have come by more often, but that was probably due to our outdoor seating. The ambiance is nicely decorated, and it's very easy to get there from Alexanderplatz.

Food is tasty but prices are a bit high. In summer, a cooler interior temperature would also be advantageous. Otherwise, nice furnishings and ambience.

Great shop. Friendly service. The food is plentiful and, above all, healthy; the matcha was also great. I would have expected a couple of things differently, but that's a matter of taste. If I'm in the area again, I'll stop by.

Great, solid breakfast. You can make a spontaneous reservation in advance. There were 20 of us, and the service was excellent! The food was good. However, the sourdough bread was a bit disappointing. The quality could be better. ⭐️

Horrible coffee. They don't even know the measurements. A flat white in a half-liter cup. The service from the girl at the checkout was terrible. Total disappointment, having spent 10 euros on two coffees and deplorable service. I don't understand how they have the nerve to offer such a bad product at such a high price.

We were looking for a cafe near Alexanderplatz for breakfast and ended up at Spreegold Mitte. The service was outstanding, the location was beautiful, but I found the prices too high. Nevertheless, I would recommend the place.

Strawberry matcha latte was delightful 🤩 and I got Canadian pancakes for breakfast, it was an interesting mix of toppings but went well together.

My husband and I spontaneously stopped at Spreegold for a quick breakfast, and we really enjoyed it. It was incredibly cozy and modern. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat together because my cinnamon roll was brought to our table a good ten minutes later than my husband's croissant. For whatever reason.

When did it go wrong? I'm sorry Spreegold but you've lost it. Came with 4 friends for breakfast and the food was not good. The Shakshuka was a sloppy mess. It used to be great here but something changed for the worse.

We were guests in this beautiful restaurant today. The food was excellent, the menu sounds so delicious from start to finish - we would have loved to try everything. The staff is in a good mood and very friendly - just as you would hope. The only disturbing thing, which is a high level of complaint, would be the background noise. I found it very loud and a bit uncomfortable.

We showed up without a reservation on a Sunday morning and even though everything was reserved, we still got a table. Service very friendly and accommodating! The breakfast selection is so large that it's actually hard to decide. Everything was super tasty, breakfast and also the drinks. Clear recommendation. 👌

The order was really delayed- we waited 30 mins for porridge and a super small toast The food was good but not value for money However the order was really delayed and the waiter gave a very passive aggressive response about it They were also very stingy about water We only got one water class (for 2 people) and they refused to give us more cause their policy is only one glass of water per drink ordered. And that one glass of water was only 60% filled.

We had very nice waiters on May 1st. I had a Caesar salad with chicken and the dressing of the vegan version. This combination was sensationally good! When we were there around 2:30 p.m., the inside area was lacking in cleanliness. Seats, floor toilets definitely needed an interim cleaning, hence the deductions.

The breakfast was very tasty 😋, nice staff. The music was too loud for us so we couldn't have a proper conversation.

I ate at Spreegold with my wife and our two children (5 and 10 years old). We had a peanut chicken bowl, the tuffle carbonara, the new meat hamburger and the crispy chicken salad - and what can I say: all four of us enjoyed it very much without exception. Every plate was a delight. In my opinion, value for money is excellent. We paid around €85 including a bottle of water and a beer - absolutely fair for dinner with four people in Berlin. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. What is particularly worth mentioning, however, is the chef: a true master of his craft, to whom we owe this culinary delight. We'd love to come back as soon as we're back in Berlin!

We spent a wonderful evening here with great food. I can only recommend burgers and especially the current Posh deal (steak + truffle pasta) to everyone; the mojo verde and hollondaise served with it are absolutely amazing. Service also very attentive and friendly. Keep it up, I/we would love to come back… 👍

Unfortunately it was extremely loud so you had to shout at each other. There is also only one women's toilet, where a long queue constantly forms. The two stars are for the delicious food and the hard-working staff.

Spregold made me food for a catering event and has already impressed me twice with its outstanding service. The employees are not only extremely friendly, but also forward-looking and committed. The value for money is excellent, the quality of the food is impressive, and the presentation is appetizing and attractive. A big thank you for this first-class service – absolutely recommended!

I'm very excited about this case! The style of the interior appeals to me, the staff is super nice and they have an extensive menu. The dishes are colorful, highly flavored and come in generous portions. Ideal comfort food! We came back here after a night of dancing and were able to enjoy all kinds of goodies. This is the perfect place for all day brunch!

Nice breakfast cafe with a great menu. I had the Green Shakshuka which combined many delicious flavors. The avocado was slightly spicy and the cherry tomatoes were sensationally sweet and fruity. The fresh ginger lemon tea was also good. The staff was very friendly across the board, no fake smiles or anything. Everyone is in a good mood and, above all, attentive and on their toes. I'll definitely come back here.

It's a nice big store, nicely decorated. The staff was also very friendly. The latte was also very tasty and the almond croissant with chocolate filling was also great. Unfortunately my matcha latte was disgusting!! It tasted and smelled like fish. I paid 6 euros for that. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he didn't pass on my complaint and the latte stayed with me. I would have liked a new drink. After all, you couldn't drink it. Therefore, unfortunately, points are deducted. Too bad! We won't be coming back...

It was our first time there and I have to say the service was great. We also really liked the atmosphere. We had the blueberry croissant, the egg and truffle mascapone brit and the chocolate and almond croissant. The first two things were really delicious. Unfortunately the latter was left in the oven for a little too long. The Carmel Macchiato was amazing! The only thing we complain about is the toilets. You could do something that would be better. But for everyone else, keep it up. Happy to recommend you.
