Spreegold Mitte in Berlin

Nice menu, but the paleo omelette was overcooked and the Canadian pancakes excessively sweet, but nice and nicely fluffy. The juices and shakes we tried were boring. They had also sold out of some items on the menu. The staff were helpful and the atmosphere good.

Wheat beer is served in a light glass. A no-go for me. That's why there is a star deduction. When I asked, I was told that only non-alcoholic wheat was served in a wheat glass. Otherwise everything was great. Food, service and nice seating.

We walked past at first, but then decided to have something to eat here - good decision! The service is friendly, attentive and quick. The food was delicious and therefore an absolute recommendation.

The bread is not fresh but seems to be baked. The avocado tasted very sour like it had been preserved and was still partly brown. The menu said "with cherry tomatoes" but the plural is wrong: there were exactly two quarters on the plate. For the price that's not okay.

An excellent restaurant for very good healthy dishes, vegan, vegetarian or with little meat. There were four of us eating and everyone chose something different: soup, salad, bowl, pasta (including bacon) and dessert. Everything was of excellent quality, tasted very fresh and interestingly spicy. Plus good home-mixed drinks. And everything was served by a very friendly waitress who responded well to our wishes. Attractive urban atmosphere. Fantastic. My special recommendation!!

My cappucino was undrinkable, the milk smelled like a wet dish rag. Had to wait for the food for 45 minutes. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Came here during lunch time, and unfortunately I left very disappointed. We ordered a cappuccino and got a something that resembled a latte and tasted like soap. It took more than 40 minutes for our avocado and egg sandwiches to come. When we finally got our food, the eggs were cold and the avocado had gotten brown.

I used to be a regular and am happy that the quality is still as perfect as it was back then. Super friendly staff, cozy typical Berlin atmosphere and the truffle scrambled eggs are to die for 🫠

Lured in here on the premis of good gluten free options. There was a review of gluten free pancakes and the website suggests there are good gluten free options. Sadly their gluten free options are pretty limited. We ordered the pancakes (not GF) and an omelette without the bread and specified it needed to be GF. It came with crispy onions which meant it needed to be remade. The food is good and the coffee was also nice. Price is average really. Not expensive but also not cheap. Look elsewhere if you're gluten intolerant. If you don't need to consider allergies then you will probably like this place.

Tourist trap. The service is underground. The staff was unfriendly, unhelpful and taciturn. You can only afford that in a location like this. The food is average, but the price-performance ratio is rather poor. System catering. Charmless and uncomfortable.

The Spreegold is home to the “signature dish” Porridge of the Gods - a truly divine oat meal. Must have - probably the best porridge I've ever had. Unfortunately, the staff isn't particularly friendly, which is understandable given the stress. Nevertheless, I like it when people treat me kindly. Good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The tables are sometimes close together, which is understandable, but I still like it when my “personal space” is not taken up by the person sitting next to me.

The food is good, but a little lacking in generosity. The atmosphere and setting are very nice but the service leaves much to be desired.

Fantastic food, super warm host and the atmosphere is just perfect to start you day.

A cool place on 3 levels in the middle of the Bikini Center. The dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. At the top there is a bar with an outdoor terrace and a view over Berlin. Hip music and pleasant atmosphere. Try it out!

Unfortunately I found the atmosphere quite uncomfortable. Extremely loud and trying to squeeze as many people into one room as possible. The service was friendly but slow. The breakfast was ok - unfortunately the healthy drinks were also just ok.

Super friendly, just right, not intrusive, but always there when you need them. And the food? Heaven on earth! I had a truffle and egg sandwich (pretty sure that's what it was called) - let me tell you, that was the star of the day. Great, the taste was on point, and the coffee went perfectly with it. We'll be back - for sure! Spreegold, you have new regular guests. 👏☕🥪

Today we came for breakfast and we met a very unpleasant passive aggressive waitress. She met us, asked how many people there would be, and that's it, we went to look for a semi-empty place. When we found a table in the corner without a reservation sign, she started swearing at us with the words "you can't just come and sit wherever you want." Why communicate with visitors in such a tone? You could say, "sorry, we don't have enough reserve signs, but this table is occupied, I'll pick up a table for you now" and not spoil our mood. When we said that she was behaving passively aggressively, full gaslighting began. After that, we left and will never come back.

The reviews are mixed. However, I wanted to see for myself. My conclusion: I would not visit the Spreegold again. I had the creamy soup. Taste OK, but only lukewarm. Also difficult to eat as the mushrooms in it were too big. Plus a peanut chicken bowl. The chicken was dry and the bowl was in the middle of the pack in terms of taste. Both came together. That didn't fit. The service was friendly but not attentive. I had to wait a really long time before I could pay even though the restaurant was almost empty.

We went there for a work team dinner and the service was very attentive and friendly :) I had Peanut chicken bowl and it was delicious, the only suggestion is that it comes in a bigger bowl because I couldn’t even see what was inside and no possibility to mix it. Everything else was great, food very tasty, desserts very nice also. Not crowded and nice atmosphere.

Extensive menu with a huge selection of dishes. What's great is that there are seasonal specials. Unfortunately it was no longer possible to order one of these on a Saturday morning. The acoustics could be a little better, creating a relaxed conversation is difficult.

The place is crowded and it has a lot of waiting Make sure to order all of your orders including the desserts at the same time better to leave the coffee at the end of the breakfast because it's going to be cold since they are in rush and the food takes around 20 minutes to be ready sometimes take 25 The food is delicious and the avocado and the chicken tastes very good I would recommend the omelette with some stuffed cheese and extras

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the cuisine. I had the Bacon Egg Sambo, and my partner had the Avocado and eggs. The dishes were very cold in the service. The egg on my sandwich was way overcooked and the overall taste was bland. The value for money is therefore really bad. 40 euros for two passable breakfasts, it's disappointing.

On paper, it's a good restaurant. But ultimately not that much. A little expensive, which is not a problem when the quality is there. This was unfortunately not the case. The food was very cold, the eggs overcooked. Save your money and go have lunch at Coffee Fellows across the street.

Yesterday I visited you with two friends. Because we liked it so much, we came back straight away today. The service staff are super friendly, we all enjoyed the food and the beer was also very tasty. 😉 We will definitely come back on our next visit to Berlin.

We came here for breakfast and the food was lovely. Such nice interior and great atmosphere. Our only complaint was that the service was quite slow but besides that, it was fantastic and I would still recommend. We had the porridge and the truffle pesto toast and eggs - delish!

Discovered by chance during our first day and first meal in Berlin. Very friendly welcome, we had the chance to meet one of the room managers who was French, so it was both comfortable for us but also the opportunity to meet a very pleasant and professional young woman. Went there for a coffee but unfortunately got ripped off. We had ordered a cappuccino from the menu for €3.70 and expressed our surprise at the size of the drinks served, the size of a latte macchiato. The waitress commented: “Anyone can do small!”. Large cappuccinis were billed for €4.70 and are listed elsewhere on the menu. It's hard to believe that this was a misunderstanding since we expressed our surprise to the waitress. Intransparent menu and tricky waiters. Very bad experience, although the coffee was tasty!

Fantastic shop! Cool furnishings, super attentive and friendly staff, great breakfast! We stayed at the Motel-One opposite and after thinking about it for a while, decided to have breakfast at Spreegold. Our decision couldn't have been better. A really large selection of different breakfast offerings ended for us with a delicious Eggs Benedict and pancakes with berries. Lovingly prepared and tasted A1! We would have loved to try our hand at the entire menu. Our breakfast was rounded off with great coffee and a fresh orange juice.

As always, we enjoyed it very much. The team is super fast, courteous and nice. People keep it up! We always love coming back!

We had a stellar experience, with reasonably priced lovely food, friendly staff and a waitress, Eloise, who was an absolute star. She made perfect recommendations, was keen to help and accommodate all our requests, spoke fantastic English and sparkled with personality. We came in late, tired and hungry and she went out of her way to assist us. The place was cozy and nicely decorated for fall and perfect for a chilly evening after an unusually hot September day. Highly recommend and all the best to the whole crew!

Since we were staying at the hotel across the street, we didn't want to go far and chose the Spreegold. We had breakfast there and absolutely loved it. Everything suits you, price performance, friendliness and service. Angie gave us good advice and we will definitely come back. The green Shakshuka is particularly recommended.

We had a spontaneous meal here in the evening, got a table quickly and the conditions were very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were very good. The taco had a bit too much dip. Unfortunately, one taco wasn't enough to finish everything. The fried oyster mushrooms are very crispy and the truffle dip goes well with them. The lasagne was well seasoned and very tasty. However, there could have been a little more fresh basil for my taste. All in all, we had a lovely evening and would love to come back!

Went there one morning for breakfast, ordered a simple avocado bread and accidentally got one with eggs, which I wasn’t even mad about just told the person that brought it that it’s wrong and from that moment on my waitress developed a major attitude towards me, they obviously misheard my order as the two dishes also sound similar. They told me that the bread with eggs is what I ordered and I told them that I don’t even eat eggs…blaming the customer is never a solution and I work in service too. You don’t even have to say sorry just say it was a miscommunication or something but don’t get mad towards the customer…was a bit weird. Avocado bread “with salad” came with a few salad leaves around the bread it tasted good but for around 10€ not worth it. I won’t come back. Two stars instead of one for service though because the waitress from another table was super sweet and kind! Atmosphere two stars as I did not feel welcome after the waitresses change in attitude and the outside seating is also not very cozy. After paying the waitress also turned around immediately and walked away mumbling “have a nice day”

We went here for breakfast two days in a row. Very tasty food, the drinks are also delicious. Everyone will find something here. There was always a waiter nearby if you had a request. Totally recommended :)

The map is very confusing. I couldn't tell which dishes were sufficient as a full breakfast portion and which were not. The pancakes were delicious and luckily they were enough. Unfortunately, the waiters didn't know straight away what grain was in the bread. There is only one toilet per gender, which is not enough for such a large restaurant. The toilet seat in the men's toilet was so loose that you were afraid of falling off the toilet.

Unfortunately, cash payments are no longer possible really annoyed us. Too bad 😢 It should be reconsidered 😕

We had the pancakes, took a sometime until we got it, the pancakes were pretty dry and chewy. The atmosphere and staff were great, but the pancakes were very disappointing.

As someone with years of experience in the restaurant industry, I have to say that the service could be improved. Our waitress, a shorter woman with dark, curly hair, seemed uninterested. She literally threw a teaspoon at us, didn't wish us a good appetite, didn't smile once and didn't say goodbye to us. The food and the ambience were good.
