Spreeblick Restaurant & Brauhaus in Bautzen

Let's put it this way...the steak wasn't cooked properly, the portions were small - but the price is high...actually too high for self-service....but I'm specifically only talking about the beer garden, where you can sit and enjoy yourself.

We had a nice meal, but the chairs are not comfortable. After an hour you want to walk away.

We were guests at the guesthouse and also visited the beer garden one evening. About the guesthouse: So far, everything was fine. The room was clean, the bathroom had everything you need. Only our sofa was greasy and needed replacing. We also slept badly because of the pillows. They were practically nonexistent in terms of lining. We stayed two nights with breakfast. The first morning, everything was great. The second morning was a total disappointment. In addition to the hotel guests, they were serving food to a large group of 20-30 people. This meant that we had to ask for a seat because there were no seats available. We were then escorted outside (without asking whether it was even okay). Then we waited in line for 20 minutes for the coffee machine. The waiter didn't even come to refill things. It was chaotic and simply annoying. When you do something like this, you have to make sure that hotel guests aren't disadvantaged. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. It wasn't a relaxing morning for us at all, which we were actually looking forward to. Beer garden: Beautiful beer garden with really comfortable seating. The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive.

I've eaten here several times now and I'm impressed every time. The schnitzel is incredibly tender – crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside. The pork was also buttery soft and incredibly juicy. You can tell the love and care goes into the cooking here. The service was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. You immediately feel welcome. I was also particularly impressed by the beer – well-chilled, freshly tapped, and simply delicious. In short: If you're looking for good, honest food in a pleasant atmosphere, this is the place to be. I'll definitely be back!

We've stayed overnight several times in the past, but the current concept isn't my cup of tea. The staff are friendly, the food was delicious, but ordering via scanner and paying in advance, as well as the impersonal invitation to tip (for what?), is unacceptable for me!! Last time for us.

Delicious hot-smoked trout. 🤤 Everyone in our four-person group found something they liked. And a very good local wheat beer.

Delicious food, home-brewed beer and a cozy atmosphere in the Biergaten

An innovative concept: you order online and pick up your drinks yourself at the bar. It worked well for us. The food was good, and the atmosphere, located by a stream and under a large stone bridge, was cozy.

To round off the evening with a visit to the summer theater, we chose this restaurant. The ambiance is quaint and half-timbered. Various small nooks and crannies dampen the noise of conversations in the restaurant. Outside, a large beer garden offers plenty of additional seating, all covered (some with umbrellas) and some with infrared heaters. The young gentleman who served us had a great, humorous manner that carried us through the evening. Many thanks to him! The other staff were also very friendly. The delicious food rounded off the evening. There was also a children's menu. I was particularly impressed by the fried potatoes. We'd love to come back and try the beer garden ;)

It's on the level of a better snack bar! More or less self-service! And all for prices that correspond to a high-end restaurant. The chairs we ordered were crooked and wobbly, making it almost impossible to eat or drink! It doesn't get any less welcoming in this price range! Never again!

So, basically, a beautiful place...but: it was supposed to be my marriage proposal...a table was reserved...a table for two. It was standing on cobblestones, like the seating...neither we nor the table and chair were sitting upright...the food was okay. It was okay, but the prices for self-ordering and pickup are mind-boggling. The herb butter! was probably out, but you might get it, or whatever, that was the cream substitute. The staff is nice and helpful—no question, but it wasn't for me and "my" day, and I'm just an employee and nothing major, but that was a real shame. I'll never go there again! PS: We're still getting married.

In my opinion, Spreeblick is one of the most attractive dining options in Bautzen. The service is excellent, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The selection of beers from the in-house brewery was the reason I booked a party there. I got the recommendation during a tour of the Frenzel Brewery. We'd be happy to return.

A great place in the Spree Valley below Bautzen's city center. I especially liked the modern way of ordering and cashless payment at your table. Awesome! The food was delicious and the service was friendly and super fast. Thanks, I'll be back!

We went to this restaurant for dinner today for the first time. The atmosphere is very nice, and the food is also delicious. What's not so nice is that you pay restaurant prices and have to get your drinks yourself at the bar. Service is something else entirely for me.

Where there's a will, there's a way. Unfortunately, neither was there.

Highly recommended. In the summer, we only had the outside seating, but when it rained, they quickly moved us inside. Super flexible and incredibly polite!

Unfriendly staff. We received a very rude welcome because we didn't immediately understand the complicated ordering system. We then went to another restaurant, where we received a friendly welcome and courteous service (the Bautzner Senfstube restaurant is highly recommended).

The ordering system in the beer garden isn't working reliably. Wait times are over an hour. Staff seem stressed and overworked.

Great brewery! We were here for the first time today, it's a great location, located directly under the Peace Bridge. Great beer garden, super cozy and rustic inside. We had 2 large beers and once the Brauerschnitzel and 1 beer meat. Delicious! We'll definitely be back. We recommend reservation.

We went to the beautiful restaurant on the Spreeblick on a Sunday. The service is super friendly and open. The homemade beer is delicious. We did a spontaneous beer tasting. Highly recommended! Price and performance are right. Any time.

The beer is great, but the food is not very high quality. What is this €4 pretzel?

We had dinner at the Spreeblick in the mid-nineties and were thrilled by the food on the hot stone. Now we were back for dinner and we are very pleased that this style is still offered! It's a pleasure 😋 also the service staff and the entire ambience!!!! Thank you

Nice atmosphere right on the Spree. The home-brewed beer is very tasty. The food came very quickly, the steaks were cooked just right, everything was incredibly tasty. A big compliment goes to the friendly service staff. We can only recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, beer prices are ruining everything. A bottle of beer costs almost €6. Apparently, some people need another lockdown to come to their senses.

We wanted to eat here on a Sunday in January and had ordered in advance. This proved to be useful as “Der Spreeblick” was very well attended. No wonder! It's a nice quaint place. The staff is super nice, food was served very quickly and tasted good. In the summer months you can sit outside and have a great view of the Spree, the bridge and the castle, which you can also take a short walk to from here.

A real pearl in Lusatia... We were with friends in a nice group on site...enjoyed a beer tasting and local specialties. An extraordinary waiter, who was more than motivated, accompanied us fabulously throughout the time. A rustic location where we as a group had a private room... Overall, I can only give this a 5/5* because I have absolutely nothing to criticize. Delicious food, local mustard beer, good dessert and home-brewed other beer specialties... I'll be back!

We spontaneously ate here and were very excited about the location. Very cozy and rustic. The waiter was super nice and always had a little saying 😊 The food was also delicious. Anyone who still has a knack for rolling the dice doesn't have to pay the bill. I thought that was a really cool idea.

The ambience with the beer garden on the Spree is wonderful and the inside is beautifully rustic. The service was very courteous and fun. The food was very tasty and the portions were completely sufficient. When it comes to home-brewed beer, everyone has to find out what their taste is.

Hearty food in large portions and a delicious beer.

Brewer's schnitzel, steak fries and pumpkin soup were delicious. Home-brewed beer is tasty. Service is authentic and friendly. A highlight is the beer sorbet.

5/5. Actually 10/10 too. It was completely sensational with you! The ambience felt like you would imagine a quaint, warm, small restaurant. The two in service were captivating with their positive energy. The food: I haven't eaten such a great knuckle in a long time! This crust. This herb. These slightly crispy dumplings. My partner had the beef steak and I saw from her and the cut of the steak that it must have been perfect. You actually already had us with the soup before. And finally: I had to take a bottle of this really hot Hefeweizen with me, because you can hardly put it in a better glass. So 100/100. Absolute recommendation!!

The atmosphere is rustic. The service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the chef apparently had a bad day. Otherwise I can't explain the discrepancy between my impression and the reviews. I had the Brauhausschnitzel with fried potatoes. Some of the latter were still almost raw inside. The mushroom sauce only tasted like flour and I had little luck with the meat either. Since the beer tasted great, it got two stars (beer 5, food 0)

Top food and even better drink in a great ambience below the Kronprinzen (Peace) Bridge in the heart of one of the most wonderful old cities in Germany!

My meal was good, but the steak fries were a bit mealy. Other guests had schnitzel with ready-to-buy potato and pasta salad, which wasn't worth the money. Self-service drinks were okay for us. You had to pay immediately after each order or leave an ID or something similar as a deposit. You could also place an order online, but only for a value of over €20, so it cannot be used to order additional drinks and unfortunately you cannot redeem vouchers such as Schlemmerblock.

When I sat down at the table, the waitress was having lunch. I sat there for 10 minutes, no one came towards me. I think waiters shouldn't eat at the same time. I didn't wait for her.

Nice ambience directly on the Spree under the Friedensbrücke. The Brewery Festival is always a highlight, unfortunately the entrance fee increases but the prices for beer and food do not increase.

Cozy beer garden directly below the Friedensbrücke and by the water. We have been here several times and can say that the staff is always friendly. We always like the food here. Since we always stop by here during the warm season, we can't report anything about the restaurant inside.

A fine beer garden below the city walls of Bautzen directly on the Spree. The beer garden is partly self-service. The house beer is delicious.

We sat in the beer garden in the very hot weather directly on the Spree next to a stone with cool water flowing over it. We felt very comfortable.

The food was fine - classic German cuisine with a seasonal menu. In general it was tasty. Sitting outside is very pleasant, with a nice view of the bridge and river. In summer there is a lot of greenery in nature on the river bank. What I deduct points for is the draft beer. The Frenzel-Bräu brewery has very good products that I buy regularly. Their beer is something to enjoy. And that's exactly why it's a shame that the tap beer in the restaurant isn't cold enough - especially in summer. I'm sure 2-3°C less would help a lot.

We have been guests here for many years. Unfortunately, we have to note that the service has deteriorated significantly recently. The food also didn't convince us in terms of taste. We find the prices to be too high. Praise goes to the waiter, who was always very friendly. In contrast, the two women behind the counter were mostly just busy with themselves and were rather rude to the guests. The ambience is great, but because of the points mentioned, we will now look for a new location.

We had a great evening as a family. The children had space and something to paint and the food was wonderful. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Waited over an hour for food with small children. It's not nice. It was stated that there could be a delay due to larger company, but not so much. But I think because of poor organization. Food was ok.

All in all good. A very positive thing to mention is the really above-average food. I had the roast pork with dumplings and the dumplings in particular were amazing. The beer is also good and the location is well-kept and nice. I find the combination of the hefty prices (which are justifiable by the good food) and the “part-time service” in the beer garden to be inappropriate. You are only served the food, orders have to be placed by cell phone or at the counter and the drinks are also self-service. The beer garden wasn't very full due to the bad weather. I would really like to see normal operation. Then there would also be 5 stars.

A great place above the descent/ascent to the gorge. There is parking, a nice outdoor terrace and a beautiful view. The service is friendly and we enjoyed the food and beer. The price is on the higher side for the region, but due to the location the price-performance ratio is still okay.

Nice location with a cozy beer garden. Service totally confusing, order and pay online but pick up from the counter yourself?? 😳 Taste very good but overpriced for the portion size. Service only one star because there is none.

All in all, very nicely done....food, service, everything was great....unfortunately no disabled toilet and a few drops to climb but everything in the beer garden is at ground level

A rollercoaster of emotions, the place is really nice, the beer is delicious. Food wasn't great. Asparagus that tasted salty, potatoes that were boiled a second time and a small schnitzel that was bone dry for a whopping €25...
