Our favorite restaurant in Potsdam ❤️ Traditional Greek cuisine. The courtyard is fantastic when the weather is nice.👍🏻 We've been going here regularly for three years. Highly recommended.

We ate there on Christmas Day and what can we say? We were more than thrilled with the food (two bifteki and one lamb platter). The bifteki weren't dry at all, but beautifully juicy, and the lamb was still slightly pink inside and served on the bone. That speaks volumes about the quality and shows that the kitchen really knows its craft. For dessert, we had a vanilla pannacota that was an explosion of flavor. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly. We even brought our dog along, and she received a warm welcome too 😊 We'll definitely be back!!! 🤗

Found during our New Year's Eve getaway to Potsdam. Spiti Mas: Superbly decorated, cozy, and modern. Excellent service, even though the restaurant was full and we didn't have a reservation. The menu had everything you'd expect from a Greek restaurant. The food itself, however, exceeded all our expectations. For starters, we ordered a mixed hot appetizer (No. 38) and open-faced sandwiches (No. 52). We only ordered the appetizer because the reviews said the portions were small. That's definitely not the case! The first course was already incredibly good. Next up was moussaka and Mediterranean vegetables (No. 130). The moussaka was as expected, but the vegetables with goat cheese as a vegetarian dish were amazing. Delicious grilled eggplant and peppers, perfectly seasoned. Thank you for this wonderful experience, and maybe we'll be back again sometime! 💝

The food was delicious, great selection, very child-friendly. The staff was simply outstanding. If you're looking for a place to eat out, then Spiti Mas is the only option.

Last week, my wife and I visited Spiti Mas for the first time. From the outside, the restaurant looks a bit unusual at first glance, as the logo is more reminiscent of an insurance company, an impression reinforced by its location in an office building next to a housing cooperative. Inside, however, it's much better: the decor is very modern and tasteful. It's not the typical Greek kitsch in blue and white with antique columns; it's a bit cleaner, but still very inviting and cozy. The concept seems to be a modern take on Greek cuisine, and this is reflected in the menu – a few typical dishes are missing, but there are several that I've never seen at a Greek restaurant in Potsdam or Berlin. As is common with Greek restaurants, the vegetarian options are rather limited, but there are three vegetarian main courses and a few appetizers to choose from. That was fine for me. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. First, we were served ouzo, and if you order more after the complimentary shot, it comes with a candied fig in the glass, which was very pleasant. We each ordered a few dips (I had tirokafteri (a variation of kopanisti), and my wife had chaviari (a variation of taramas)). Both were incredibly delicious, but with three small dip bowls per appetizer, it was a lot. This meant we had to order more bread. We then shared tiganita (grilled zucchini and eggplant). It was almost large enough to be a main course. Again, everything was extremely delicious. A big plus was that it wasn't breaded and fried, but pan-fried and still had a bit of a bite. Eventually, the main courses arrived, which were, of course, also enormous, and we had to admit that we had ordered too much and had to take half of it home with us. My wife had the classic gyros in Metaxa sauce, which she absolutely loved. I was curious about what was probably the most unusual vegetarian dish: crepa (a spinach-filled pastry). As the name suggests, it was indeed spinach in a thin crepe batter, and it was surprisingly delicious. The mushroom sauce was especially creamy and flavorful, but the spinach and feta filling was also perfectly balanced. In the end, we were very happy. Spiti Mas tastes authentically Greek, but it has its own unique concept that sets it apart from the other Greek restaurants in Potsdam. It's not exactly cheap, but the portions are very generous. I can easily imagine myself coming back again soon.

We managed to snag two seats without a reservation. They were at the counter, but still not bad. The food and service were excellent. If we're ever in Potsdam again, we'll definitely come back. Keep up the good work!

Update: After a year, we went back, having had such a good experience. Unfortunately, a lot has changed. We couldn't finish our meal because it was simply inedible. And this became apparent the following night. We both felt very ill. Even the waiter was embarrassed. Instead of apologizing, he just shrugged. A shame for what was once a very good restaurant. We definitely won't be coming back.

We were a couple and ate at Spiti Mas on Thursday evening at 9 pm. The service staff was nice and friendly. We had three appetizers, which were tasty: garlic bread, pita bread, and baked feta. For our main courses, we had gyros with fries and tzatziki, and a mixed grill. The main course was also tasty, but unfortunately, the gyros wasn't very hot. Overall, it tasted good, but we felt that for the price, there could have been a little more on the plates.

I've rarely experienced such a well-rounded experience: a super friendly team, spotlessly clean, modern style, yet still cozy. You can immediately tell that someone here is passionate about quality, not just the bare minimum. The food and drinks are top-notch, the prices are fair for what you get, and the atmosphere is so positive that you automatically end up staying longer than planned 😅 Most importantly: incredibly delicious! For me: 5/5 – the perfect spot if you're looking for something nice in Potsdam and just want to feel good. I would recommend it to everyone in my circle of friends. 💪🔥

Delicious food and good service, but far too overpriced for the portion size. The one vegetarian dish was served without a side dish for just under €19, which probably cost the owner a maximum of €2 to buy. The fries were hard (and frozen). We weren't even remotely full. The drinks were also so overpriced, an absolute disgrace. At my regular Greek restaurant in Berlin, for the same price, you can also get olives and bread, a small salad, and a delicious dessert, plus a significantly larger portion size. So the price is appropriate. We definitely won't be going here again. Save your money or bring enough money for a kebab afterward.

The best restaurant of our trip! We were at Spiti Mas on October 14, 2025, and it was simply fantastic! The food was incredibly delicious – every dish was perfectly prepared and served with love. The service was outstanding: attentive, warm, and always with a smile. We felt welcome from the very first moment. For us, Spiti Mas was definitely the highlight of our restaurant visits – we will definitely be back! 🇬🇷🍽️

I'm torn between 4 and 5 stars. The ambiance is great, the staff friendly and accommodating, and the food excellent. Only the concept bothers me a little. The portions are huge (I like to eat, but the appetizer was too much for me to finish the main course), which put me off dessert. The "small portion" for a light snack was a standard portion at another restaurant. I prefer to sample and enjoy the cuisine over three courses rather than leave feeling unwell. You can certainly reduce the portions, save €2-3 on the price, and end up making more friends.

It's a fantastic restaurant with very friendly staff. Even when our youngest grandson had a minor mishap, the waiter reacted very calmly and professionally. I highly recommend it if you're in Potsdam and want to eat well.

Every dish, from lamb to fish, was wonderfully balanced in flavor and had that special, individual touch you'd expect. I had liver there on Sunday. I know it's not particularly popular, but it was fantastic. Cooked to perfection and served with delicious mashed potatoes 😋😋😋❤️ Honestly, I've never had such perfect liver in any restaurant before! The service staff was super friendly. We'll definitely be back.

We had a very nice dinner here. The food was tasty, and the staff were kind and caring. We enjoyed sitting on the cozy terrace, and the moussaka in particular was excellent. A couple of small things: I would have preferred to receive some pita bread as a complimentary starter instead of ouzo, as the portion of bread we ordered felt a bit pricey. Also, the potatoes had a bit too much garlic, which made them hard to finish. Overall though, we really enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was warm. Prices are average-to-slightly-above, I’d recommend it.

I remembered the "old" Athos very well and always enjoyed being a guest there. Today at Spiti Mas, you are welcomed into a very modern ambiance. Nevertheless, you feel very comfortable as soon as you enter the dining room. This is, of course, not least due to the excellent service. I can only say one thing about the food – truly excellent Greek cuisine. You can taste the high quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail. For starters, I highly recommend the Greek bruschetta [psitopsomi]. Simple but very tasty. The prices are overall mid-range and absolutely reasonable. Thank you for the wonderful culinary evening.

We had a great meal with our orchestra for three evenings.

The food is really incredibly good, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, we were even offered ouzo three times. The ambience is very nice. Unfortunately I can't give it 5 stars, as much as I'm really sorry about this, but I have to be fair to the other restaurants here. As much as I liked the #83 Panos Piato, for 23.90 euros the portion was simply too small, see picture and for the price I would definitely expect a small salad with it. On the other hand, the drinks prices are too high, even if they also tasted very good. For my 0.3 liter. I paid 4.90 for the juice spritzer, which is a liter price of 16 euros, that's just not possible.

Absolutely recommended. The food is very tasty and the service is very fast and incredibly friendly. Thank you for the very nice evening.

An absolute insider tip! The Spiti Mas impresses across the board. The food was simply delicious - the garlic bread in particular is to die for and by far the best I've ever eaten. My vegetarian dish was stunning: freshly prepared, lovingly prepared and a taste highlight. You should also definitely try the tzatziki – wonderfully creamy and perfectly seasoned. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, you immediately feel welcome. We'll definitely be back!

Two or three years ago it was a great place, but at some point new staff came there and the atmosphere and the food changed accordingly. For the new team, the customer's well-being is not the top priority, but rather its own interest. It was very unpleasant to hear that they had to move the seating to free up two tables and one person was left without a seat! There were seven of us! and I recommended this place to these people… plus the prices here are the highest in Potsdam! I don't go to this restaurant anymore.

It is the best Greek restaurant I have visited in my life (Greece included). A very attentive, friendly and fast service. You feel very welcome and you can have a great time there. The owners paid attention to every detail, as a woman you get a rose on Women's Day. A small but lovely detail. The food is excellent. The ambience is great.

Thanks! How nice that there is a Greek restaurant without a plate of Mykonos or Olympus with any dubious Metaxa sauces. Really good food that costs a few euros more is also justified. The lamb skewer was perfectly pink, the hot cheese as a starter was prepared with imagination... I won't write more, just try it out. Now, about a year later, I was there again - and my enthusiasm was no less this time either. Really good mix of tradition and modernity. I've been to Greece dozens of times, but this restaurant would be outstanding there too!

The moussaka was also heavenly, with a wonderfully creamy béchamel sauce and a perfect balance of spices. Food was ok. Presented on the plates more for the eye. Very loud so not for a quiet evening. The service worked in a structured manner but was obviously overloaded.
